1.Analysis of related factors for the comorbidity of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia
Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(1):27-31
Objective:
To investigate the factors influencing the co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia, so as to provide a data foundation and theoretical basis for developing targeted intervention measures.
Methods:
In September and October 2024, a stratified cluster random sampling method was employed to select 139 102 students from 539 schools across 12 leagues/cities and 103 banners/counties in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Participants who were diagnosed with allergic rhinitis by a doctor at least once within one year and had a body mass index ≥ 28 kg/m 2 were considered to have comorbid conditions.
Results:
The coprevalence rate of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia was 6.4% (8 931 cases). Lasso-Logistic regression revealed that nonboarding status, higher maternal education, consuming high protein foods ≥1 time daily, occasionally or never eating breakfast, engaging in moderate to vigorous physical activity for ≥60 minutes on fewer than half of holidays, and having been exposed to second hand smoke in person within the past seven days were associated with higher odds ratios for co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity( OR = 1.23 , 1.22-1.63, 1.20, 1.19, 1.38, 1.35); being female, higher grade level, residence in flag/county/district areas, non only child status, never having consumed a full glass of alcohol, non hypertensive status, and households without pets were associated with lower co-prevalence risks ( OR =0.65, 0.67-0.77, 0.81, 0.87, 0.73, 0.41, 0.68) (all P <0.05). The ROC curve indicated an area under the curve of 0.64 for the predictive model, demonstrating satisfactory discriminatory ability. The calibration curve showed consistency between predicted and actual occurrence probabilities.
Conclusions
The co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia is closely associated with demographic characteristics, dietary behaviours, and lifestyle habits. Future prevention and control strategies should prioritize these factors to implement targeted interventions.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(9):1342-1345
Objective:
To analyze the prevalence trends of different types of elevated blood pressure and their association with nutritional status among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia from 2019 to 2024, providing references for targeted prevention strategies.
Methods:
From September 2019 to 2024, a stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select 12 primary and secondary schools from each league city in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A total of 177 108, 137 758, 190 182, 180 084 , 188 056, 180 351 primary and secondary school students (excluding grades one to three of primary school) were included for physical examination. The correlation between their nutritional status and high blood pressure was analyzed based on the basic situation of 129 821 primary and secondary school students who completed a questionnaire survey at the same time in 2024. Statistical analysis was conducted using a Chi-square test and multiple Logistic regression model.
Results:
From 2019 to 2024, the detection rates of elevated blood pressure were 13.60%, 13.68%, 17.60%, 17.24%, 14.77% and 15.96%, respectively. The rates for isolated systolic hypertension were 4.24%, 5.83%, 7.26%, 7.19%, 6.24% and 6.93%; isolated diastolic hypertension rates were 6.38%, 4.99%, 6.23 %, 6.41%, 5.39% and 5.66%; and combined systolic and diastolic hypertension rates were 2.97%, 2.86%, 4.11%, 3.65%, 3.14 % and 3.36%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that girls, junior high school, senior high school, overweight, and obesity were positively associated with elevated blood pressure risk ( OR =1.27, 1.25, 1.32, 1.66, 3.07, all P <0.05); conversely, county residence, Mongolian ethnicity, and other ethnicities showed negative associations ( OR =0.90, 0.93, 0.90, all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Overweight and obesity among children and adolescents are closely related to various types of elevated blood pressure. Prevention strategies should prioritize effectively controlling weight issues among children and adolescents, thereby effectively reducing the incidence of elevated blood pressure.

Digital technologies have become an integral part of complete denture restoration. With advancement in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), tools such as intraoral scanning, facial scanning, 3D printing, and numerical control machining are reshaping the workflow of complete denture restoration. Unlike conventional methods that rely heavily on clinical experience and manual techniques, digital technologies offer greater precision, predictability, and efficacy. They also streamline the process by reducing the number of patient visits and improving overall comfort. Despite these improvements, the clinical application of digital complete denture restoration still faces challenges that require further standardization. The major issues include appropriate case selection, establishing consistent digital workflows, and evaluating long-term outcomes. To address these challenges and provide clinical guidance for practitioners, this expert consensus outlines the principles, advantages, and limitations of digital complete denture technology. The aim of this review was to offer practical recommendations on indications, clinical procedures and precautions, evaluation metrics, and outcome assessment to support digital restoration of complete denture in clinical practice.

Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2025;40(1):127-131
Objective To study the correlation between apolipoprotein AⅣ (APOA4) and leucine-rich α-2 glycoprotein 1 (LRG1) expression and clinicopathological features in breast cancer tissues. Methods Clinical data of 120 patients diagnosed with breast cancer after surgical treatment and postoperative pathology were collected from the Third People's Hospital of Zigong City from March 2020 to September 2022. Western blotting (WB) was used to observe the expression of APOA4 and LRG1 in breast cancer tissues and corresponding paracuncinoma tissues (>5cm from the margin of cancer tissues). Analyzed the relationship between the expression of APOA4 and LRG1 and the clinicopathological features of breast cancer. The correlation between the expression of APOA4 and LRG1 was analyzed by Pearson methed. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis of the relationship between APOA4 and LRG1 protein expression and prognosis. Results The results of WB detection showed that the expression levels of APOA4 (2.81±0.74)and LRG1(1.01±0.26)in breast cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in normal breast tissues (1.26±0.38,0.57±0.12),and the differences were statistically significant (t=20.411,16.832,all P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that APOA4 was positively correlated with LRG1 protein expression in breast cancer tissues (r=0.624,P=0.014). The expression levels of APOA4 and LRG1 proteins in breast cancer tissues with ER positive,PR positive and lymph node metastasis in cTNM stage Ⅱ to Ⅲ were higher than those in breast cancer tissues with ER negative,PR negative and no lymph node metastasis in cTNM stage Ⅰ,and the differences were statistically significant (t=1.770~3.284,all P<0.05). The expression of APOA4 protein in breast cancer tissues with BMI ≥ 23.5kg/m2 was higher than that in breast cancer tissues with BMI<23.5kg/m2,and the difference was statistically significant (t=1.736,P=0.043). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the cumulative overall survival rates (83.13%,84.93%) of the APOA4 high expression group and LRG1 high expression group were lower than those of the APOA4 low expression group and LRG1 low expression group (94.74%,91.49%,and the differences were statistically significant (Log Rankx2==4.778,3.956,P=0.029,0.047). Conclusion Both APOA4 and LRG1 proteins are highly expressed in breast cancer tissues, and are involved in the occurrence and invasion of breast cancer. They are expected to become a reference index for diagnosis and treatment and prognosis prediction.

ObjectiveBased on the quality evaluation experience of "it is better to have a fragrant and strong aroma" summarized by materia medica of past dynasties, the chemical components of Sojae Semen Nigrum(SSN) and Sojae Semen Praeparatum(SSP) were systematically compared and analyzed, and the main fermentation products in different fermentation time were quantitatively analyzed, so as to clarify the transformation law of internal components in the processing process and provide scientific basis for the modern quality control of SSP. MethodUltra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole tandem time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MS) was used for the structural identification of the chemical constituents of SSN and SSP, and with the aid of Progenesis QI v2.3 software, the negative ion mode was employed for principal component analysis(PCA) pattern recognition, and the data were analyzed with the aid of orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA) for two-dimensional data to obtain S-plot, and components with |P|>0.1 were selected as the differential constituents. The contents of isoflavonoids in SSP during fermentation was determined by UPLC, and the samples were taken every 8 h in the pre-fermentation period and every 2 d in the post-fermentation period, and the dynamic changes of isoflavonoid contents in different fermentation stages were analyzed. The contents of amino acids and nucleosides in SSP and SSN from different fermentation stages were quantitatively analyzed by phenyl isothiocyanate(PITC) pre-column derivatization and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) gradient elution, and the contribution of flavor substances to the "delicious" taste of SSP was discussed by taste intensity value(TAV). ResultA total of 19 kinds of differential components were screened out, mainly soybean saponins and isoflavones, and their contents decreased significantly or even disappeared after fermentation. In the pre-fermentation process of SSP, glycoside bond hydrolysis mainly occurred, and isoflavone glycosides in SSN were degraded and converted into the corresponding aglycones, the content of flavor substances such as amino acids increased gradually. In the post-fermentation process, protein degradation mainly occurred, after 8 d of post-fermentation, the content of isoflavones was basically stable, while the total content of amino acids increased by 8-40 times on average. Different amino acids form the special flavor of SSP, such as the TAV of glutamate is always ahead of other flavor substances, and sweet substances such as alanine and valine have made relatively great contributions to SSP. ConclusionBased on the law of constituent transformation, combined with the traditional evaluation index of "fragrant and strong", it is difficult to control the fermentation degree of SSP by the existing standards in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia. It is suggested that description of the characteristics of SSP be refined and changed to "fragrant, delicious and slightly sweet", and at the same time, the post-fermentation index compounds such as glutamic acid, alanine and valine should be added as the quality control indicators of SSP, so as to standardize the production process and improve the quality of SSP.

Objective:To investigate the effect of early protein supplementation on the clinical outcomes of elderly ICU patients with critically ill. Methods:The study was a post-hoc analysis of a multicenter, cluster randomized controlled trial (NEED trial), which aimed to evaluate the impact of feeding protocol on nutritional implementation and outcomes in ICU patients. It was planned to include elderly patients aged ≥70 years from the NEED trial, and patients who had not started nutritional therapy by the Day 3 after enrolment, stayed in the ICU less than 7 days, missing the primary outcome were excluded. The primary outcome of this study was 28-day mortality of enrolment. Patients were categorized into Q1 (<0.6 g/kg/d), Q2 (0.6-0.83 g/kg/d), and Q3 (≥0.83 g/kg/d) groups according to the tertiles of protein supply. The log-rank test was used to compare the Kaplan-Meier survival curves for 28-day mortality. The associations between different protein groups and 28-day mortality were tested by Cox proportional hazards regression models. Subgroup analysis was conducted in patients with high (mNUTRIC score≥5) nutritional risk or patients with baseline acute kidney injury. Results:A total of 789 elderly (≥70 years) patients was included in the study, with a mean protein amount of 0.69 (0.53, 0.91) g/(kg·d) during days 3-7 after ICU admission, and mean protein amounts in the Q1 low-protein group, the Q2 medium-protein group, and the Q3 high-protein group were 0.46 (0.36, 0.53), 0.69 (0.63, 0.76), and 1.03 (0.91, 1.23) g/(kg·d), respectively. The results showed that the medium protein group associated with lower 28-day mortality compared to the high protein group, and the association between the medium protein group and lower 28-day mortality still held after controlling for possible confounders by Cox multivariate regression analysis. In the high-nutritional risk subgroup (mNUTRIC≥5), a significant association was also found between the medium protein group and lower 28-day mortality. Conclusions:Early high protein supply are not beneficial for elderly ICU patients by this large sample size post-hoc analysis, and medium protein supply associate with lower 28-day mortality compared with the high protein group. This study may provide a theoretical basis for the optimal dose of early protein supply in elderly ICU patients, as well as a reference for clinical implementation.
