Objective To study the clinical efficacy of buccal acupuncture in the treatment of refractory tinnitus in the elderly. Methods In this study,50 elderly patients with refractory tinnitus were randomly divided into two groups:the experimental group(n=26)received buccal acupuncture therapy on the neck, upper neck, scapula zone, shoulder, back, mastoid process, thoracic plexus, abdominal plexus and pelvic plexus on the affected side, and the control group(n=24)received sound therapy. After 8 weeks of treatment intervention, the two groups were comprehensively evaluated for the changes in the tinnitus evaluation scale(TEQ),self-rating depression scale(SDS),and blood rheological indexes, including whole blood high-cut viscosity(HSV),plasma viscosity(PSV)and fibrinogen in blood(FIB)clotting. Results After treatment, the total effective rate of the experimental group was 84.6%(22/26),higher than 54.2%(13/24)in the con-trol group. The difference in total effective rate and efficacy level between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).TEQ and SDS were significantly lower in the two groups compared to pre-treatment(P<0.05),and HSV,PSV and FIB in the experimental group were significantly lower compared to pre-treatment(P<0.05).The experimental group demonstrated better post-treatment outcomes in TEQ,SDS,HSV,and FIB compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Buccal acupuncture treatment is effective in improving the symptoms of refractory tinnitus in the elderly,relie-ving the depression complicated by tinnitus, and is helpful in changing blood flow resistance and reducing blood coagulation probably.

Objective:To explore the intervention effect of different modes of ankle pump exercise on femoral vein peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) catheter-related thrombosis in patients with lung cancer. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, 96 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC catheterization admitted to Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from January 2019 to October 2020 were set as the control group and 97 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC cannula from October 2020 to October 2021 were set as the observation group. They adopted the comfort angle ankle pump exercise and the maximum angle ankle pump exercise mode, respectively. The differences in the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis, the incidence of unplanned extubation, fatigue score and catheter indwelling time were compared between the two groups. Results:The incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The fatigue score and catheter indwelling time of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The maximum angle ankle pump motion mode can reduce the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation of femoral vein PICC catheterization in patients with lung cancer and improve the catheter indwelling time, but it is easy to cause patient fatigue, so clinical promotion and use should consider the patients' tolerance.

Objective To investigate the current status of family rehabilitation for children with disability and the unmet needs of habilitation/rehabilitation for their parents. Methods Family Rehabilitation Needs Survey Questionnaire was used to investigate 186 families of the children with disability from 5 rehabilitation institutions in 4 provinces. Results Most families accepted family rehabilitation, including family support, developed rehabilitation scheme, telephone counseling, real-time guidance and appointment for family rehabilitation. Most families would spent 1-2 hours a day for the family rehabilitation, and prefer the rehabilitation of gross motion. However, the rehabilitation agencies played less importance on supports of family rehabilitation. Conclusion The family rehabilitation supports needs to be improved in specification of rehabilitation process, developing rehabilitation scheme and quality control.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of NGX6 with 5-Fu on the apoptosis of colon cancer cells. Methods: The NGX6-transfected HT-29 cell line with 5-Fu was used in the test group. HT-29 cell line with 5-Fu and PDTC was used in the control group. The expression of NF-κB was detected by EMSA. The proliferation of HT-29 cell line was assayed by MTT. The effect of NGX6 on the apoptosis was detected by FCM. HT-29 cells were double-stained by PI/Annexin-V and AO/EB and observed by fluorescence microscopy. Results: The expression of NF-κB was inhibited in NGX6 transfected colon carcinoma cell group and in colon carcino-ma cell group treated with PDTC. Treatment with the chemopreventive compounds 5-Fu and PDTC resulted in different responses in the effects of anti-proliferation and induced apoptosis of colon carcinoma cells. There was no significant difference in apoptosis between NGX6-transfected HT-29 call line with 5-Fu and the cells in the control group. NGX6 gene enhanced the effect of 5-Fu on the proliferation and apoptosis of colon carcino-ma cells. Conclusion: NGX6 gene can induce apoptosis and inhibit the proliferation of colon carcinoma cells. NGX6 gene can enhance the effect of 5-Fu on the proliferation and apoptosis of colon carcinoma cells through NF-κB pathway.

Epigenetics is the important component of functional genomics. It can be defined as the study of the interplay between environment and genetics, and the study of the heritable change that is not strictly dependent on DNA sequence. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is the common malignant tumor in south China. As a polygenetic inheritance tumor, NPC has the characteristic of obvious tendency of familial aggregation, possesses genomic instability, and is vulnerable to physical, chemical and biological carcinogenic factors. This specific etiological system of NPC refers that it is one of the best model for studying cancer epigenetics. The main point of this review focuses on the progress of studying on the effects of DNA methylation, histone modification, chromatin remodeling and non-coding RNA regulation on the pathologenesis of NPC, and suggests future directions to thoroughly explore the epigenetic pathologenesis of NPC. Moreover, it will open a new prerequisite foundation for finding the epigenetic molecular marks for screening the high-risk susceptibility population, early diagnosis, treatment and prognostic indentification of NPC.

Objective To explore the changes and role of levels of serum IL-18 and IL-13 in children with Guillain-Barr? syndrome(GBS).Methods The levels of serum IL-13 and IL-18 were determined by enzyme-linked immunoabsordent assay(ELISA)in 42 children with GBS(GBS group)in stages of acute and recovery, and compared with the normal control(NC)group. Results The serum levels of IL-18 and IL-13 in GBS group at acute stage[(44.87?7.53)pg/ml,(37.46?6.94)pg/ml] were significantly higher than those at recovery stage[(38.25?5.86)pg/ml,(32.14?6.89)pg/ml] and NC group[(32.35?4.93)pg/ml,(24.76?5.59)pg/ml](all P
