Objective To explore the effect of Naikan cognitive-music reminiscence therapy on coping style in female patients with chronic schizophrenia.Methods In May, 2020, 72 female patients with chronic schizophrenia from Beijing Huilongguan Hospital were assigned into control group (n = 48) and music group (n = 24) after trait matching. Both groups accepted routine medicine, while the control group accepted Naikan cognitive therapy, and the music group accepted Naikan cognitive therapy combined music reminiscence, for twelve weeks. They were blind assessed with Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire, Self-rating Depression Scale and Self-rating Anxiety Scale before and after intervention.Results There were five cases in the control group removed for erroneous response. The main effects of group were not significant for all the assessments (F < 0.567, P > 0.05). The main effect of time was significant for negative coping style score (F = 6.968, P = 0.01), and the interaction effects were significant for positive coping style score and Self-rating Depression Scale score (F > 4.227, P < 0.05).Conclusion Combining with music reminiscence, Naikan cognitive therapy may be advantageous for the coping style of female patients with chronic schizophrenia.

Objective:To investigate the current situation and influencing factors of home-based self-management ability of patients with schizophrenia and to provide theoretical basis for clinical nursing intervention.Methods:This study is a cross-sectional study. Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 220 patients with schizophrenia who were admitted to Outpatient Department of a Class Ⅲ Grade A Psychiatric hospital in Beijing from June to December 2019 were selected as the research objects. The General Information Questionnaire and Home-based Self-management Scale for Patients with Schizophrenia were used to investigate.Results:In this study, a total of 220 questionnaires were distributed and 207 valid questionnaires were returned. The effective recovery rate was 94.09%. The score of Schizophrenia Self-Management Instrument Scale was (63.51±9.55) , and the scoring rate was 47.58%. Univariate analysis showed that, the scores of Home-based Self-management Scale for Patients with Schizophrenia with different ages, marital status, education levels, working status, household monthly income per capita, living status, economic burden, courses of disease, times of hospitalization, family attitudes and social supports showed statistically significant differences ( P<0.05) . Multivariate analysis showed that, age, marital status, social support and economic burden were the influencing factors of home-based self-management ability of schizophrenia patients ( P<0.05) , accounting for 36.0% of the total variation. Conclusions:The home-based self-management ability of patients with schizophrenia needs to be improved urgently. Medical staff should implement nursing intervention or self-management education according to the different characteristics of patients to effectively improve the self-management ability of patients, promote the recovery of the disease, reduce the recurrence rate and improve quality of life.

Objective:To explore the effect of physical-medical integration training on the rehabilitation of inpatients with schizophrenia and metabolic syndrome.Methods:From January 2019 to January 2020, convenience sampling was used to select 105 patients with schizophrenia and metabolic syndrome who received treatment in Beijing Huilongguan Hospital as the research object. Patients were divided into research group ( n=53) and control group ( n=52) . Control group conducted psychiatric routine nursing, and research group implemented physical-medical integration training model (doctor-nurse-technician participation) on the basis of routine nursing. We compared the body mass index (BMI) , blood glucose, blood pressure and social function score of the two groups of patients after three months of training. Results:Finally, 50 patients in each group completed the study. After three months of training, the BMI, fasting blood glucose, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of research group were lower than those of control group, and the total score and all dimension scores of social function were higher than those of control group with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Physical-medical integration training can directly affect the BMI, blood pressure, and blood glucose of patients with schizophrenia and metabolic syndrome, and can improve the social function of the patient and increase the patient's sense of satisfaction.

Objective:To examine associations of sex hormone levels with bone turnover markers(BTMs) among men in the Northeast region of Henan Province.Methods:From December 2015 to March 2016, 707 male subjects were selected from a National Epidemiological Survey-2014(Thyroid Disorders, Iodine status and Diabetes, TIDE)research—Henan sub-center survey by using multistage stratified cluster random sampling. Fasting venous blood was collected to determine the levels of luteinizing hormone(LH), follicle stimulating hormone(FSH), estradiol(E 2), testosterone(T), dehydroepiandrosterone-sulfate (DHEAS), androstenedione(AD), sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG), dihydrotestosterone(DHT), free testosterone(FT), osteocalcin(OC), pro-collagen type 1 N-terminal propeptide(PINP), C-terminal-cross-linking telopeptide of type 1 collagen(β-CTX), 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], and parathyroid hormone(PTH). Results:A total of 697 men with an average age of(46.6±15.9)years were included in the study. Pearson correlation analysis showed that age was positively associated with LH, FSH, T, and SHBG, while negatively associated with E 2, DHEAS, AD, FT, β-CTX, OC, and PINP, without significant correlation with DHT, 25(OH)D, and PTH. Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis showed that E 2 was negatively associated with β-CTX; T was positively associated with OC, FSH was negatively associated with OC; LH, FSH, and SHBG were negatively associated with PINP; E 2, T, FT, DHT, and AD were positively associated with PINP. After adjusting for age and BMI, linear regression analysis showed that T was still significantly positively associated with OC and PINP, with 0.302 ng/ml and 0.015 ng/ml increasing for OC and PINP every 1 ng/ml increase in T; E 2 and DHT were positively associated with PINP, with 0.250 and 0.047 ng/ml increasing for PINP every 1 pg/ml increase in E 2 and DHT. Conclusions:Age is an important factor influencing sex hormones and BTMs. Serum levels of T, E 2, and DHT are associated with bone formation and bone absorption markers.

More subjects with vitamin D deficient were in urban area than in rural area (13.3% vs. 5.7%, P=0.001). After fully adjusting for age, residence area, economic status, education, body mass index, waist circumference, homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), hypertension, diabetes, triglyceride, high-density lipoproteincholesterol, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and uric acid, linear regression analyses showed that every 25 nmol/L increase in 25(OH)D levels increased lg FT(FT=free testosterone) by 0.013ng/L (β=0.013, P=0.036), lg DHT (DHT=dihydrotestosterone) by 0.030 ng/L (β=0.030, P=0.019), and lg AD (AD=androstenedione) by 0.019 μg/L (β=0.019, P=0.008). After fully adjusting for age, residence area, economic status and education, every 25 nmol/L increase in 25(OH)D levels lowered glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) by 0.051% (β=-0.051, P=0.027). Objective? To explore the process and experience of self-management among patients with schizophrenia by interview so as to provide examples and inspirations for clinical nursing and improving self-management among patients with schizophrenia. Methods? From February to April 2018, we collected information in 14 schizophrenia outpatients at a ClassⅢ Grade A psychiatric hospital in Beijing by semi-structured depth interview. The information was analyzed and summarized with the method of content analysis. Results? The interview results were divided into two aspects. On the one hand, the cognition of schizophrenia patients on self-management limited the self-management ability development of patients including lack of knowledge on self-management and family dysfunction. On the other hand, the experience of self-management also limited the ability involving lack of symptom management ability, skills and knowledge on treatment management, poor emotion management, low daily life management initiative, poor interpersonal management and inadequate social support resource use. Conclusions? Medical staff should actively understand the self-management of schizophrenia patients, strengthen training and education so as to improve disease self-management and promote recovery from disease.

Objective To establish a Chinese hamster model of babesia infection, to find the changing pattern of organs and biochemical parameters in Chinese hamster infected with Babesia, and to promote the detection and treatment of babesiosis.Methods Healthy 5-week old Chinese hamsters were infected by intraperitoneal injection of blood containing Babesia.Blood samples were collected at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 23, 30, and 37 days after infection from 5 hamsters at each time point.Blood smears were prepared to detect the parasites using Giemsa staining.ELISA assay was employed to test the IL-2 concentration.The blood biochemical indexes were detected using an automatic biochemical analyzer.DNA was extracted from the whole blood and REAL-TIME RCR was performed to determine the reproduction of Babesia.Aftert the animals were sacrificed, the heart, lung, spleen, liver, and kidney were taken to analyze the changes of organ coefficients.Results The highest level of Babesia in the hamsters occurred on day 4 after the Babesia injection, and then showing a decreasing tendency.However, there was a transient increase on the 12th day after infection.The liver and spleen displayed most extensive response to the infection showing hepatomegaly and splenomegaly, but the variation of heart and kidneys coefficients was within the norm.There were prominent changes of blood cells, especially leucocytes, with two peaks at day 10 and 23 after the Babesia infection.The peak changes of blood biochemical indexes occurred at day 12 after infection.The concentration of serum IL-2 reached a peak on the 10th day after infection.Conclusions The Chinese hamsters display typical characteristics of tick-borne diseases such as hepatomegaly and splenomegaly.The immunological system is activated along with the infection and reaches a highest stage in the second week.Afterwards the Babesia can live in the hamster body for a long period of time.The results of this study provide useful information supporting further studies on the detection, treatment and prevention of Babesiosis.

To study the effects of forkhead transcription factor O1 (FoxO1) on the expression of type Ⅳ collagen and desmin in podocytes of diabetic rats.Streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were divided into three groups:diabetic rats (DM group),rats transfected with blank lentiviral vectors (diabetes mellitus plus LV-pSC-GFP group,LV-NC group),and rats which were transfected with lentiviral vectors carrying constitutively active FoxO1 (diabetes mellitus plus LV-FoxO1-AAA group,LV-CA group).Rats which received an injection of diluent buffer served as normal control.At 2,4,and 8 weeks after transfection,the levels of urine albumin,blood glucose,blood urea nitrogen,and serum creatinine were measured.Realtime PCR and Western blotting were performed to measure the mRNA and protein levels of FoxO1,COL4A3,COL4A5,and desmin in the renal cortex.Moreover,light microscope and electron microscope were used to observe the structural changes in glomerulus and podocytes.Compared with LV-NC and DM group,in LV-CA group,there was a significant increase in the mRNA and protein levels of FoxO1,and a distinct decrease in the levels of urine albumin,blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine of rats (except at the twoweek time point) (all P＜0.05),the mRNA and protein levels of COL4A3,COL4A5,and desmin were all decreased (all P＜0.05),and pathological changes in kidney were also improved.Upregulating the expression of FoxO1 by transfecting with constructed lentiviral vectors can definitely improve the abnormal expression of type Ⅳ collagen and desmin in podocytes of diabetic rats.

Eleven male patients with pituitary stalk interruption syndrome (PSIS) at our hospital were retrospectively analyzed with respects to clinical features,endocrine status and imaging characteristics.The clinical manifestations included growth retardation and delayed puberty.All of them were deficient in growth hormone and pituitary gonadotropin secretion.Secondary hypothyroidism and hypocortisolism occurred in 8 patients and one had concurrent central diabetes insipidus.MRI with gadolinium contrast revealed no pituitary stalk or slim and anterior pituitary hypoplasia with ectopic posterior pituitary.The clinical characteristics of PSIS are growth retardation and delayed puberty,partial or complete adenohypophyseal dysfunction.The detection of hypothalamic pituitary region by MRI is an important diagnostic tool.
