ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of virtual reality (VR) combined with occupational therapy on upper limb motor function in patients with stroke. MethodsCNKI, VIP, Wanfang data, PubMed, the Cochrane Library and Web of Science were searched for randomized controlled trials investigating the effect of VR combined with occupational therapy on upper limb motor function in patients with stroke. The search covered the period from database inception to April, 2026. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool version 5.1.0 and PEDro scale. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4. ResultsA total of 15 studies involving 636 participants were included. The PEDro scores ranged from seven to ten. VR combined with occupational therapy significantly improved scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremities (SMD = 0.64, 95%CI 0.28 to 1.01, P < 0.001) and the Action Research Arm Test (SMD = 1.22, 95%CI 0.88 to 1.56, P < 0.001)， while no significant differences were found in Barthel Index/Modified Barthel Index scores (SMD = 0.50, 95%CI -0.07 to 1.07, P = 0.087), Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test scores (SMD = 0.32, 95%CI -0.29 to 0.93, P = 0.308), or Box and Block Test scores (SMD = 0.50, 95%CI -0.43 to 1.43, P = 0.289). ConclusionVR combined with occupational therapy may improve the upper limb motor function in patients with stroke; however, its effects on activities of daily living, hand-movement speed, and grasping and object-transfer ability remain uncertain.

Objective To analyze the research status,hotspots and frontiers of mirror therapy in stroke motor function rehabilitation over the past 20 years.Methods The English literatures on mirror therapy applied in motor function rehabilitation for stroke in the Web of Sci-ence Core Collection database from January,2005 to December,2024 were retrieved,and CiteSpace 6.4.R1 was used for bibliometric analysis.Results A total of 177 articles were included,showing a fluctuating upward trend.Dohle Christian from Free University of Berlin published the most articles and formed a core research team.China was the most prolific country in terms of publication volume,while Germany was the most centralized.Chang Gung University was the institu-tion publishing the most articles.The high-frequency keywords included upper limb,hand function,clinical feasi-bility,subacute stroke and virtual reality.Main clusters of keywords involved functional near-infrared spectrosco-py,virtual reality and task-oriented training.The bursting words in the past three years were virtual reality and ro-bot-assisted therapy.Conclusion Researches on mirror therapy for motor function after stroke are increasing,focusing on the rehabilitation of upper limb and hand function,investigation of neural mechanisms,combined application with other rehabilita-tion techniques,and exploration of clinical feasibility and related factors.The integration of mirror therapy with other new technologies may be the research trends in the future.

Objective To explore the relationship between serum homocysteine (Hcy) level before coronary angiography(CAG) and contrast induced nephropathy (CIN) after CAG.Methods We included 2264 cases of suspected coronary heart disease from May 2013 to May 2016 and all patients received CAG examination.According to whether CIN has developed or not after CAG, the patients were divided into the non-CIN group (n=2162) and the CIN group (n=102).We analyzed and compared the clinical baseline data, serum Hcy and creatinine (Cr) levels and the estimated glomerular filtration rate between the 2 groups eGFR.Results Patients in the non-CIN group were younger and with less comorbidities of diabetes and chronic kidney disease (all P<0.05).The volume of contrast media consumed in the non-CIN group was less than the CIN group [(122±21)ml vs.(147±24)ml, P=0.012).Hcy level in the non-CIN group (12.81±6.71) μmol/L was lower than that in the CIN group (21.74±11.9)μmol/L before CAG (P<0.05).No significant differences in serum Cr level and eGFR before CAG (P>0.05).At 72 hours after CAG, Cr level of the non-CIN group (69.34±19.54 μmol/L) was lower than that of the CIN group (87.34±21.38) μmol/L (P<0.05).eGFR was higher in the non-CIN group (79.34±19.54)ml/min than that in the CIN group (67.34±21.38)ml/min (P<0.05).Linear regression analysis showed that Hcy level before CAG were positively correlated with Cr level after CAG (r=0.547,P<0.01) and negatively correlated with eGFR after CAG (r=-0.271,P<0.01).Conclusions Hcy level before CAG can be used as one of an effective parameter to predict CIN.
