1.Follow up study on the association of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students

Objective:
To investigate the changing trends for associations of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students, so as to provide a scientific basis for preventing smartphone addiction in middle school students.
Methods:
From 2022 to 2023, a method of combining convenient sampling with cluster sampling was used to select 8 923 middle school students from 27 junior high schools and 3 senior high schools in a district of Shenzhen City between September 2022 (baseline, T1) and September 2023 (follow up, T2). The Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short Version (SAS-SV), Patients Health Questionnaire-9 Item (PHQ-9), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item Scale (GAD-7) were administered to assess smartphone addiction, anxiety and depressive symptoms. Mixed effects models were used to analyze the association of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students.
Results:
From September 2022 to September 2023, the reported prevalence of smartphone addiction increased from 24.22% to 25.25% ( χ 2=45.71); and smartphone addiction scores [ 24.00 (16.00, 32.00),25.00(16.00, 33.00)], anxiety symptom scores [2.00(0.00, 7.00),3.00(0.00, 7.00)] and depressive symptom scores[3.00(0.00, 8.00),5.00(0.00, 9.00)] all significantly increased ( Z =-17.43, -42.38, -41.57) (all P <0.05). There were statistically significant difference in the distribution of anxiety and depression symptom levels among middle school students in 2022 and 2023 ( χ 2=85.15, 106.85, both P <0.05). After adjusting for covariates such as age, gender and family background, mixed effects models revealed dose response associations of anxiety and depressive symptoms with smartphone addiction among middle school students:mild anxiety symptom( OR =3.22), moderate to severe anxiety symptom ( OR =5.36), mild depressive symptom ( OR =3.32) and moderate to severe depressive symptom ( OR =6.13) were significantly associated with higher risks of smartphone addiction (all P <0.05). Interaction effect analysis found that co existing anxiety and depressive symptoms synergistically increased addiction risk by 5.60 times ( OR =5.60) compared to the asymptomatic group, with 32% of the combined risk attributable to their interaction ( S=1.64, AP =0.32)(both P < 0.05 ).
Conclusions
Anxiety and depressive symptoms are significantly associated with smartphone addiction, exhibiting a synergistic effect. Attention should be paid to emotional issues and smartphone addiction among middle school students.

Objective To investigate the role and mechanism of suramin(Sur)in acetaminophen(APAP)-induced acute liver injury in mice.Methods 8-10 weeks old C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into the APAP group and APAP+Sur group(20 mg/kg suramin was injected 1 h before).After 18 hrs of fasting,400 mg/kg APAP was injected intraperitoneally to establish a mouse model of acute liver failure and the survival rate was recorded.An acute liver injury model of mice was established via intraperitoneal injection of 300 mg/kg APAP(other conditions remained unchanged).A control group was also established,with liver tissues and serum collected at 0,2,and 12 hours post-APAP treatment.ELISA and CBA techniques were adopted to detect the release of alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)in serum and the secretion of inflammatory factors.H&E staining and immunohistochemistry were used to detect liver tissue necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration.DCFA-DH and ELISA techniques were used to detect the levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS),malondialdehyde(MDA)and glutathione(GSH)in liver tissues.Western blotting was employed to assess the activation of the JNK signaling pathway in liver tissues.Results Suramin treatment improved the survival rate of APAP-induced mice,reduced the release of transaminases and inflammatory factors in serum,and alleviated APAP-induced liver cell necrosis and inflammatory cell infiltration in the liver.Suramin treatment delayed APAP-induced GSH depletion in the liver,reduced MDA and ROS levels,and inhibited JNK pathway activation.Conclusion This study has confirmed the protective effect of suramin against acetaminophen-induced acute liver injury in mice.The mechanism is potentially related to oxidative stress and inflammation.
4.The mechanism of isoliquiritigenin on ameliorating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in mice by regulating gut microbiota and repairing gut barrier function

OBJECTIVE To study the effects of isoliquiritigenin (ISL) regulating gut microbiota and repairing gut barrier function in model mice with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and to clarify its mechanism for improving NAFLD. METHODS Thirty male C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into the normal (ultrapure water), model group (ultrapure water), ISL group (100 mg/kg), with 10 mice in each group. Model group and ISL group were fed with high-fat diet for 19 weeks to establish NAFLD model; at the same time, the mice were given relevant medicine/ultrapure water intragastrically. The changes of body weight in mice were recorded, and liver index, white fat index and brown fat index were calculated. The pathological changes of liver tissue and colon tissue as well as lipid accumulation were observed in mice. The levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) E-mail:xiangshj3@mail.sysu.edu.cn in serum or liver were measured; the serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and the levels of IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α mRNA expression in liver tissue were detected. Fecal samples underwent 16S rDNA sequencing analysis, and the effects of ISL on gut microbiota structure of mice were investigated. The expressions of gut mucosal barrier-related proteins (Claudin-4, Occludin and ZO-1) were determined in the colon tissue of mice. RESULTS Compared with model group, the body weight, liver index, the levels of TC in liver tissue and serum, the levels of AST and ALT in serum, the levels of IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α in serum, and the mRNA expression of TNF-α in liver tissue were all decreased significantly in ISL group, while brown fat index was increased significantly. The inflammation and damage of liver tissue were significantly improved, and the NAFLD activity score and the proportion of lipid staining area were significantly reduced (P<0.05). ISL could significantly up-regulate the relative abundance of beneficial microbiota (norank_f_Muribaculaceae, Odoribacter, Ruminiclostridium, etc.) and the expressions of intestinal barrier function- related proteins, but could significantly down-regulate the relative abundance of harmful bacteria (Desulfovibrio, norank_f_Lachnospiraceae, unclassified_p_Firmicutes), and could repair intestinal barrier. CONCLUSIONS ISL could significantly delay the progress of NAFLD, the mechanism of which may be associated with regulating gut microbiota and improving gut barrier function.
5.High efficiency of left superior frontal gyrus and the symptom features of major depressive disorder.

OBJECTIVES:
Major depressive disorder (MDD) patients with anhedonia tend to have a poor prognosis. The underlying imaging basis for anhedonia in MDD remains largely unknown. The relationship between nodal properties and anhedonia in MDD patients need to be further investigated. Herein, this study aims to explore differences of cerebral functional node characteristics in MDD patients with severe anhedonia (MDD-SA) and MDD patients with mild anhedonia (MDD-MA) before and after the antidepressant treatment.
METHODS:
Ninety participants with current MDD were recruited in this study. 24-Item Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-24) and Snaith-Hamilton Pleasure Scale (SHAPS) were used to assess the severity of depression and anhedonia at baseline and the end of 6-months treatment. The MDD patients who scored above the 25th percentile on the SHAPS were assigned to an MDD-SA group (n=19), while those who scored below the 25th percentile were assigned to an MDD-MA group (n=18). All patients in the 2 groups received antidepressant treatment. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) images of all the patients were collected at baseline and the end of 6-months treatment. Graph theory was applied to analyze the patients' cerebral functional nodal characteristics, which were measured by efficiency (ei) and degree (ki).
RESULTS:
Repeated measures 2-factor ANCOVA showed significant main effects on group on the ei and ki values of left superior frontal gyrus (LSFG) (P=0.003 and P=0.008, respectively), and on the ei and ki values of left medial orbital-frontal gyrus (LMOFG) (P=0.004 and P=0.008, respectively). Compared with the MDD-MA group, the significantly higher ei and ki values of the LSFG (P=0.015 and P=0.021, respectively), and the significantly higher ei and ki values of the LMOFG (P=0.015 and P=0.037, respectively) were observed in the MDD-SA group at baseline. Meanwhile, higher SHAPS scores could result in higher ei and ki values of LSFG (P=0.019 and P=0.026, respectively), and higher ei value of LMOFG (P=0.040) at baseline; higher SHAPS scores could result in higher ei values of LSFG (P=0.049) at the end of 6-months treatment. The multiple linear regression analysis revealed that sex were negatively correlated with the ei and ki values of LSFG (r= -0.014, P=0.004; r=-1.153, P=0.001, respectively). The onset age of MDD was negatively correlated with the ki value of LSFG (r=-0.420, P=0.034) at the end of 6-months treatment. We also found that SHAPS scores at baseline were positively correlated with the HAMD-24 scores (r=0.387, P=0.022) at the end of 6-months treatment.
CONCLUSIONS
There are obvious differences in nodal properties between the MDD-SA and the MDD-MA patients, such as the high ei of LSFG in the MDD-SA patients, which may be associated with the severity of anhedonia. These nodal properties could be potential biomarkers for the prognosis of MDD. The increased ei and ki values in the LSFG of MDD-SA patients may underlie a compensatory mechanism or protective mechanism. The mechanism may be an important component of the pathological mechanism of MDD-SA. The poor prognosis in the MDD-SA patients suggests that anhedonia may predict a worse prognosis in MDD patients. Sex and onset age of MDD may affect the nodal properties of LSFG at baseline and the end of 6-months treatment.

6.Clinical efficacy of pancreaticoduodenectomy with TRIANGLE operation in the treatment of pancreatic head cancer

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of pancreaticoduodenectomy with TRIANGLE operation in the treatment of pancreatic head cancer.Methods:The retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 51 patients with pancreatic head cancer who were admitted to the Sichuan Provincial People′s Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of School of Medicine of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China from January 2017 to July 2018 were collected. There were 33 males and 18 females, aged from 42 to 74 years, with a median age of 56 years. Of the 51 patients, 24 cases undergoing standard pancreaticoduodenectomy, in which No.12, 13 and 17 lymph nodes were dissected, combined with transcatheter arterial infusion chemo-therapy (TAI) were allocated into the standard group, and 27 cases undergoing pancreaticoduo-denectomy with TRIANGLE operation, in which No.7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17 lymph nodes were dissected, combined with TAI were allocated into the TRIANGLE group, respectively. Observation indicators: (1) intraoperative conditions of the two groups; (2) postoperative conditions of the two groups; (3) follow-up and survival. Follow-up was conducted using outpatient examination and telephone interview once three months to detect tumor recurrence and metastasis and survival of patients up to July 2021 or the death of patient. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and comparison between groups was analyzed using the t test. Measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M(range), and comparison between groups was analyzed using the chi-square test or the Fisher exact probability. Comparison of ordinal data was analyzed using the rank sum test. Kaplan‐Meier method was used to calculate the survival rate and median survival time and draw survival curve. Log‐Rank test was used for survival analysis. Results:(1) Comparison of intraoperative conditions between the two groups. The operation time, volume of intraoperative blood loss, cases with intraoperative blood transfusion were (501±61)minutes, (563±278)mL, 4 in the standard group, versus (556±46)minutes, (489±234)mL, 6 in the TRIANGLE group, respectively. There was a significant difference in the operation time between the two groups ( t=3.62, P<0.05) but there was no significant difference in the volume of intraoperative blood loss or cases with intraoperative blood transfusion between the two groups ( t=1.03, χ2=0.25, P>0.05). (2) Comparison of postoperative conditions between the two groups. Of the 51 patients, 30 had 50 times of postoperative complications, including 18 times of grade Ⅰ complications of Clavien-Dindo classification, 29 times of grade Ⅱ complications of Clavien-Dindo classification, 2 times of grade Ⅲa complications of Clavien-Dindo classification, 1 time of grade Ⅲb complications of Clavien-Dindo classification, respectively. Cases with postoperative complications, cases with delayed gastric emptying, cases without or with pancreatic fistula as class A or class B, cases with biliary fistula, cases with bleeding, cases with diarrhea were 15, 4, 13, 7, 4, 4, 2, 2 in the standard group, versus 15, 6, 14, 10, 3, 4, 1, 3 in the TRIANGLE group, respectively. There was no significant difference in cases with postoperative complications, cases with delayed gastric emptying, cases with pancreatic fistula between the two groups ( χ2=0.16, 0.02, Z=-0.04, P>0.05) and there was no significant difference in cases with biliary fistula, cases with bleeding, cases with diarrhea between the two groups ( P>0.05). Cases with complications as Clavien-Dindo grade Ⅰ, grade Ⅱ, grade Ⅲ were 10, 11, 2 in the standard group, versus 8, 18, 1 in the TRIANGLE group, showing no significant difference between the two groups ( Z=-0.67, P>0.05). The duration of postoperative hospital stay was (23±8)days in both of the standard group and the TRIANGLE group, showing no significant difference between the two groups ( t=0.31, P>0.05). (3) Follow-up and survival. All the 51 patients were followed-up for 6 to 54 months, with a median follow-up time of 17 months. The postoperative 1-year overall survival rate was 75.0% and 81.5% in the standard group and the TRIANGLE group, respectively. The postoperative 3-year overall survival rate was 12.5% and 22.2% in the standard group and the TRIANGLE group, respectively. The median postoperative survival time was 15.00 months (95% confidence interval as 12.63 to 17.37 months) and 21.00 months (95% confidence interval as 15.91 to 19.62 months) in the standard group and the TRIANGLE group, respectively. There was a significant difference in survival of patients between the two groups ( χ2=4.30, P<0.05). Cases with tumor recurrence during post-operative 1 year and 3 year were 9 and 20 in the standard group, versus 6 and 15 in the TRIANGLE group, respectively. There was no significant difference in cases with tumor recurrence during postoperative 1 year between the two groups ( P>0.05) and there was a significant difference in cases with tumor recurrence during postoperative 3 year between the two groups ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with standard pancreaticoduodenectomy, pancreaticoduodenectomy with TRIANGLE operation can prolong the median survival time of patients with pancreatic head cancer without increasing surgical related complications.
7.Preliminary study on effects of serial passage on growth-related properties and virulence of Chlamydia muridarum

Objective:To analyze the changes in biological characteristics including infectivity, growth and pathogenicity of Chlamydia muridarum ( Cm) after serial passage in vitro in special conditions in order to provide reference for screening attenuated live vaccines and virulence-related genes. Methods:Wild-type Cm strain (G0) was cultured for several passages using conventional cell culture method under alternate unassisted and assisted culture conditions. Then, the 28th generation (G28) of Cm was selected and compared with the parental G0 strain in terms of centrifugation dependence, attaching ability, intracellular growth curve, plaque size and fallopian tube lesions after genital tract infection in a mouse model. Results:Compared with the parental G0 strain, the G28 strain showed significantly decreased dependence on centrifugation during cell infection ( P<0.05) and increased attachment capacity to cells ( P<0.05). No significant differences were observed in the growth curves 32 h after cell infection or in the plaque sizes between the parental G0 and G28 strains. In the in vivo virulence test, fallopian tube lesions were observed in 87.5% of G0-infected mice and 37.5% of G28-infected mice ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Compared with the parental G0 strain, the G28 strain showed significantly enhanced in vitro infection ability, but decreased in vivo pathogenicity, which brought hope for further identification of virulence genes, isolation of attenuated strains with single genotype and development of live attenuated Chlamydia vaccines.
8.Clinical efficacy of different treatment methods for chronic pancreatitis based on M-ANNHEIM system

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of different treatment methods for chronic pancreatitis based on M-ANNHEIM system.Methods:The retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 177 patients with chronic pancreatitis from two medical centers between July 2008 and July 2018 were collected, including 95 in the Sichuan Provincial People′s Hospital and 82 in the West China Hospital of Sichuan University. There were 100 males and 77 females, aged (49±5)years, with a range from 29 to 72 years. The M-ANNHEIM system was used to decide clinical stages of chronic pancreatitis. Patients in different clinical stages received drug, endoscopic or surgical treatment. Observation indicators: (1) general data and follow-up of patients; (2) treatment of patients in asymptomatic stage; (3) treatment of patients in stage Ⅰ; (4)treatment of patients in stage Ⅱ; (5) treatment of patients in stage Ⅲ; (6) treatment of patients in stage Ⅳ; (7) aggravation and new-onset of diabetes; (8) complications. Follow-up using outpatient examination, telephone, mail, and Sojump was performed to collect data for M-ANNHEIM system up to December 2018. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and comparison between groups was analyzed by the AVONA. Repeated measurement data were analyzed using repeated ANOVA. Count data were described as absolute numbers, and comparison between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. Results:(1) General data and follow-up of patients: there were 11, 72, 55, 31, and 8 patients with chronic pancreatitis classified as asymptomatic stage, stage Ⅰ, stage Ⅱ, stage Ⅲ, stage Ⅳ of M-ANNHEIM system before treatment. Of the 177 patients, 49, 49, and 79 patients underwent drug, endoscopic and surgical treatment, respectively. All the 177 patients were followed up for (2.4±0.5)years. (2) Treatment of patients in asymptomatic stage: 11 patients in asymptomatic stage underwent drug treatment. The M-ANNHEIM score was 1.91±0.21 before treatment, and 1.27±0.14, 1.73±0.19, 2.09±0.16 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. (3) Treatment of patients in stage Ⅰ: of the 72 patients in stage Ⅰ, 13 underwent drug treatment, 26 underwent endoscopic treatment, and 33 underwent surgical treatment. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients undergoing drug treatment was 8.11±1.05 before treatment, and 6.31±0.31, 7.69±0.24, 10.00±0.23 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients undergoing endoscopic treatment was 8.42±0.93 before treatment, and 5.13±0.25, 6.89±0.20, 8.27±0.24 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients undergoing surgical treatment was 8.13±0.77 before treatment, and 4.79±0.15, 5.42±0.22, 7.76±0.20 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. There was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score before treatment between patients receiving different treatments ( F=1.23, P>0.05). For patients in M-ANNHEIM stage Ⅰ, at 1 month after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=2.94, 4.98, P<0.05); there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=1.26, P>0.05). At 12 months after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment, between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=2.43, 5.99, 4.80, P<0.05). At 24 months after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=4.61, 6.29, P<0.05); there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=1.63, P>0.05). (4) Treatment of patients in stage Ⅱ: of the 55 patients in stage Ⅱ, 8 underwent drug treatment, 15 underwent endoscopic treatment, and 32 underwent surgical treatment. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients undergoing drug treatment was 12.61±1.16 before treatment, and 11.63±0.26, 12.57±0.30, 14.50±0.27 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. The above indicators of patients undergoing endoscopic treatment was 12.42±1.43, 8.47±0.24, 11.07±0.21, 11.93±0.30, respectively. The above indicators of patients undergoing surgical treatment was 12.53±1.22, 8.78±0.15, 9.94±0.21, 11.00±0.24, respectively. There was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score before treatment between patients receiving different treatments ( F=1.38, P>0.05). For patients in M-ANNHEIM stage Ⅱ, at 1 month after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=8.37, 8.48, P<0.05); there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=1.13, P>0.05). At 12 months after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment, between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=4.13, 8.48, 3.33, P<0.05). At 24 months after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment, between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=5.61, 6.83, 2.26, P<0.05). (5) Treatment of patients in stage Ⅲ: of the 31 patients in stage Ⅲ, 9 underwent drug treatment, 8 underwent endoscopic treatment, and 14 underwent surgical treatment. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients undergoing drug treatment was 17.25±0.89 before treatment, and 17.11±0.35, 18.44±0.41, 17.33±0.44 at 1 month, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. The above indicators of patients undergoing endoscopic treatment was 17.38±1.06, 15.00±0.53, 16.50±0.33, 16.88±0.44, respectively. The above indicators of patients undergoing surgical treatment was 17.63±1.06, 14.64±0.34, 16.00±0.35, 16.57±0.33, respectively. There was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score before treatment between patients receiving different treatments ( F=1.19, P>0.05). For patients in M-ANNHEIM stage Ⅲ, at 1 month after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=3.37, 4.82, P<0.05); there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=0.59, P>0.05). At 12 months after treatment, there was a significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=3.63, 4.48, P<0.05); there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=0.95, P>0.05). At 24 months after treatment, there was no significant difference in M-ANNHEIM score between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving endoscopic treatment, between patients receiving drug treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment, between patients receiving endoscopic treatment and patients receiving surgical treatment ( F=0.73, 1.41, 0.55, P>0.05). (6) Treatment of patients in stage Ⅳ: 8 patients in stage Ⅳ underwent drug treatment. The M-ANNHEIM score of patients was 17.94±0.59 before treatment, and 18.01±0.34, 17.54±0.19, 17.34±0.26, 17.88±0.43 at 1 month, 6 months, 12 months, 24 months after treatment, respectively. (7) Aggravation and new-onset of diabetes: of 49 patients undergoing endoscopic treatment, 17 had diabetes before treatment, 5 had aggravated diabetes and 11 had new-onset of diabetes after treatment. Of 79 patients undergoing surgical treatment, 31 had diabetes before treatment, 21 had aggravated diabetes and 7 had new-onset of diabetes after treatment. There were significant differences in the aggravation and new-onset of diabetes between the two groups ( χ2=2.07, 2.04, P<0.05). (8) Complications: 49 patients undergoing drug treatment had no treatment related complications. Of 49 patients undergoing endoscopic treatment, 4 patients with stent related complications were cured after replacing stent under endoscopy, 6 patients had acute pancreatitis, 2 had gastrointestinal bleeding including 1 patient was cured after endoscopic hemostasis, other patients with complications were improved after symptomatic and supportive treatment. Of 79 patients undergoing surgical treatment, 17 had pancreatic leakage (including 11 of biochemical leakage, 5 of grade B pancreatic leakage, and 1 of grade C pancreatic leakage), 3 had postoperative gastroparesis, 3 had intraabdominal infection, 1 had deep venous thrombosis, 2 had hemorrhage of which 1 combined with grade C pancreatic leakage was improved after open hemostasis and 1 was improved after interventional treatment, other patients with complications were improved after symptomatic and supportive treatment. Conclusions:For chronic pancreatitis, individualized treatment should be formulated according to the different stages. M-ANNHEIM score system can be used the evaluate clinical efficacies of drug treatment, endoscopic treatment, and surgical treatment.
9.Study on Spectrum-effect Relationship of Anti-hepatoma Effect of C Ⅱ-3 Extract from Periplaneta americana

OBJECTIVE:To study the spectrum-ef fect relationship of anti-hepatoma effect of C Ⅱ-3 extract from Periplaneta americana,and to preliminarily clarify the anti-hepatoma active components of it. METHODS :Based on UHPLC fingerprints of 10 batches of C Ⅱ-3 samples,with the help of UHPL C-Q-TOF/MS,the compounds corresponding to each chromatographic peak were identified qualitatively by standard substances and related literatures. Using the IC 50 value of each batch of C Ⅱ-3 sample against human hepatoma cells HepG 2 as anti-hepatoma activity index ,the spectrum-effect relationship of fingerprint and anti-hepatoma effect was established and analyzed by the combination of grey relational analysis (GRA)and orthogonal partial least squares(OPLS). RESULTS :There were 25 common peaks in UHPLC fingerprints of 10 batches of C Ⅱ-3 samples,and 10 chemical compounds were identified ,which were cyclo- (Tyr-Pro)(peak 24),cyclo-(Gly-Phe)(peak 15),hypoxanthine(peak 3), adenine(peak 7),phenylalanine(peak 10),inosine(peak 11),N-acetyldopamine(peak 16),cyclo-(Pro-Ala)(peak 13),2-hydroxy propionyl(peak 22),cyclo-(Pro-Ser)(peak 6). The IC 50 of 10 batches of C Ⅱ-3 samples to HepG 2 cells was 70.550-200.303 μg/mL. Among 25 common peaks ,the order of GRA correlation (r)of anti-hepatoma activity was peak 20>23>24>15,all of r values were greater than 0.7;the order of variable importance projection (VIP)of OPLS analysis was peak 23>18>15>24>7>14>6> 2>20,all of VIP values were greater than 1. The standard regression coefficients of peak 7,15,20,23,24 were all greater than 0;while the standard regression coefficients of peak 2,6,14,18 were all less than 0. Conjoint analysis shows that the order of anti-hepatoma activity was peak 20>23>24>15. CONCLUSIONS:unknown chemical ingredients (peak 20, ),cyclo-(Tyr-Pro)(peak 24)and cyclo- (Gly-Phe)(peak 15) in C Ⅱ-3 may be main anti-hepatoma active components.
10.Analysis of the relationship between gender and prognosis of patients after liver resection for hepatocellular carcinoma

Objective:To analyze the impact of gender on prognosis in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after hepatectomy.Methods:The data of 1 796 patients with HCC who underwent liver resection at the Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital from January 2010 to December 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 1 548 males and 248 females, the average age were 49.6 years. Patients were followed up for recurrence and survival. After propensity score matching, the postoperative survival rates of male and female patients were compared. Univariate and multivariate Cox regression was used to analyze independent factors affecting prognosis of patients with HCC after hepatectomy. The age and menopause were analyzed by subgroup analyses.Results:The 1-, 3- and 5-years cumulative overall and recurrence-free survival rates of male patients were significantly lower than that of female patients (all P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that female was an independent protective factor affecting postoperative recurrence ( HR=0.777, 95% CI: 0.615-0.982) and overall survival ( HR=0.669, 95% CI: 0.520-0.856). Using a cut-off value of 50 years old, the patients were divided into <50 years old ( n=915) and ≥50 years old ( n=881). In patients who were less than 50 years old, the 1-, 3- and 5-years cumulative overall and recurrence-free survival rates of male patients were significantly lower than those of female patients (all P<0.05). In patients ≥50 years old, there were no significant difference in the cumulative overall and recurrence-free survival rates between male and female patients (all P>0.05). Female patients were then divided into the postmenopausal group ( n=152) and the premenopausal group ( n=96). There were no significant differences in the cumulative overall and cumulative recurrence-free survival rates between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusion:The prognosis of female patients with HCC after hepatectomy was significantly better than that of male patients.
