BackgroundDepressive disorder is one of the most common mental disorders in the elderly and the existing meta-analyses on the prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly have mainly summarized the findings from patient self-rating scales or examiner-rating scales. ObjectiveTo examine the prevalence of depressive disorder among elderly people in China using Meta-analysis， aiming to provide references for interventions targeting elderly patients with depressive disorder. MethodsOn December 20， 2022， a computerized searches were conducted in databases including CNKI， Wanfang， VIP， SinoMed， PubMed， Springer， Web of Science and Embase to collect studies on the prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly in China. The Joanna Briggs Institute （JBI） quality assessment tool was used to evaluate the included literature. A meta-analysis was conducted using the statistical software R version 4.2.2. ResultsA total of 29 studies involving 2 341 elderly patients with depressive disorder were included. The prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly in China was 3.90% （95% CI： 0.030~0.049）. Subgroup analysis revealed that there was a statistical difference in the prevalence of depressive disorder between elderly people without spouses and those with spouses （χ²=6.844， P<0.01）. ConclusionThe prevalence of depressive disorder among the elderly in China is relatively high， and the prevalence of depressive disorder among those without a spouse is higher than that of those with a spouse. ［Funded by Hangzhou Science and Technology Development Project （number， 20201203B192）］

Deutetrabenazine has been approved by FDA in 2017 to treat TD. This drug has just been launched in China and there are few reports on its clinical application in China. This article reports a 19-year-old female diagnosed with "schizophrenia". She has taken antipsychotics for a long time. Recently, she had symptoms such as the opening mouth and sticking tongue out, head and neck receding, difficulty chewing, slurred speech, drooling, etc. and was diagnosed with "TD". She was adjusted for drugs and was prescribed vitamin E and clonazepam. The therapeutic effect of this symptomatic treatment was poor. After being treated with Deutetrabenazine, her symptoms gradually alleviated and the therapeutic effect was definite. This case report will provide references and experience for clinical work.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy and adverse reactions(ADRs)of 4 kinds of the second-generation anti-psychotic drugs in the treatment of acute phase of schizophrenia. METHODS:159 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divid-ed into risperidone group(40 cases),olanzapine group(40 cases),aripiprazole group(39 cases)and ziprasidone group(40 cas-es). All groups were given routine dosage of relevant medicine by routine usage for 6 weeks. Mental status of patients were mea-sured by PANSS before treatment and after 2,4 and 6 weeks of treatment. At the same time,blood glucose,blood lipid,prolac-tion and other metabolic and biological indicators were all detected. RSESE,BARS and UKU were adopted to evaluate ADR. RE-SULTS:A total of 100 patients completed the study. Compared with aripiprazole group and ziprasidone group,risperidone and olan-zapine inhibited symptom more rapidly,with statistical significance (P<0.05). After treatment,body mass index and abdominal circumference of olanzapine group were significantly higher than those of other 3 groups,with statistical significance (P<0.05). Low density lipoprotein of olanzapine group was increased significantly,there was statistical significance compared to ziprasidone group and aripiprazole group(P<0.05). Prolactin level of risperidone group was significantly higher than those of other 3 groups, while that of aripiprazole group was significantly lower than those of other 3 groups,with statistical significance(P<0.05). ADRs of 4 drugs were mild or moderate,most of whom could be alleviated by symptomatic treatment. CONCLUSIONS:In the treatment of acute phase schizophrenia,4 drugs of the second-generation have similar curative effect in symptoms control,among which ris-peridone and olanzapine inhibit positive symptom more rapidly while more ADRs that related to lipid and glucose metabolism and prolactin also show. Aripiprazole and ziprasidone induce less ADRs relatively,and patients show better tolerability. Physicians should consider all kinds of factors in drugs selection,and make individualized treatment plan.

Objective To investigate the clinical application value of retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy for nonfunctioning kidney.Methods Fifty-four cases of retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy for nonfunctioning kidney were reviewed,including 9 cases with nonfunctioning tuberculosis pyonephrosis,18 cases with infection nonfunctioning pyonephrosis and 27 cases of nonfunctioning hydronephrosis.Fifty-four cases were received retroperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy,tuberculous and infection pyonephrosis underwent laparoscopic resection surrounding adipose capsule,nonfunctioning hydronephrosis underwent laparoscopic resection by pumping water to increase the peritoneal space.Results The operation of 54 cases were perfomed successfully.None of the patient required conversion to open surgery.During the surgery,1 case showed mild extravasation of cheese-like pus induced by laceration of the kidney capsule;2 cases had injuried on the peritoneum.The mean operation time was 125 (95-230) min,the mean blood loss was 84 (50-420) ml.All patients showed primary healing of the wound,the patients were discharged from the hospital in 6 to 11 d (mean 7.5 d).After followed up for 5-27 months,none of them had long-term complication.Conclusions Retroperitoneal laparscopic nephrectomy for nonfunctioning kidney has advantages of minimal invasion,less blood loss and quicker recovery,so it is a fairly safe and effective procedure for nonfunctioning kidney.
