Objective:To analyze the multi antigen distribution characteristics of Rh blood group system in Shunde area of Guangdong Province, explore the feasibility of Rh phenotype compatible blood transfusion for blood recipients in this area, and formulate the precise blood transfusion strategies. Methods:From June 2022 to December 2024,113 226 hospitalized patients scheduled for blood transfusion in Shunde Hospital of Southern Medical University and 30 832 blood donors'blood samples provided by Shunde central blood station in the same period were detected for ABO blood group and Rh phenotype by microcolumn gel method, and the Rh phenotype data of the recipients and blood donors were compared and analyzed. Results:Among 113 226 blood samples,112 963 cases(99.77%)were RhD positive, with CCDee(54.96%)and CcDEe(28.21%)phenotypes being the main phenotypes;263 cases(0.23%)were RhD negative, with ccDee(50.19%)and CcDee(36.88%)as the main phenotype.Among 30 832 blood donor samples,CCDee(54.65%)and CcDEe(27.93%)were the main phenotypes of Rh phenotype with RhD positive. The positive rates of D,C,c,E and e antigens of blood recipients and blood donors were in the same order from high to low D>e>C>c>E.The frequency of e antigen in RhD positive recipients with different ABO blood groups was statistically different from that of blood donors(P<0.05),while there was no statistical difference in the other four antigens(P>0.05),the distribution of ccDEe phenotypes was statistically different(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference in the distribution of other eight phenotypes(P>0.05).In RhD positive recipients, the probability of finding compatible blood for phenotype CcDEe was 100%,the probability of finding compatible blood for phenotype CCDee,CCDEe and DcDee was 54%-65%,and the probability of finding compatible blood for other phenotypes was less than 10%.Providing blood with CCDee and ccDEE phenotypes according to Rh blood matching scheme can meet the needs of more than 99%of patients with 9 Rh phenotype compatible blood transfusion in this region. Conclusion:Rh phenotype detection should be carried out for hospitalized patients to be transfused, and the precise transfusion strategy of Rh phenotype isotype or compatibility should be implemented to make the transfusion treatment of patients more safe and reliable.

This case report explores the therapeutic potential of theta burst stimulation (TBS) for cognitive enhancement in individuals with brain injuries. The study presents a 38-year-old male suffering from an organic mental disorder attributed to a traumatic brain injury (TBI), who demonstrated notable cognitive improvements following an intensive TBS protocol targeting the left dorsal lateral prefrontal cortex. The treatment led to significant enhancements in impulse control, irritability, and verbal comprehension without adverse effects. Neuropsychological assessments and brain imaging post-intervention revealed improvements in short-term memory, abstract reasoning, list-generating fluency, and increased cerebral blood flow in the prefrontal cortex. These findings suggest that TBS, by promoting neural plasticity and reconfiguring neural networks, offers a promising avenue for cognitive rehabilitation in TBI patients. Further research is warranted to optimize TBS protocols and understand the mechanisms underlying its cognitive benefits.

AIM:To investigate the potential mechanism of neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)in the pla-centa during the pathogenesis of preeclampsia(PE).METHODS:Differential neutrophil infiltration in PE versus normo-tensive placentas was assessed using placental transcriptome sequencing data.Single-cell sequencing analysis of GSE173193 dataset was conducted to evaluate the expression of NETs formation-related genes in neutrophils from PE pla-centa and control placenta.Immunofluorescence and ELISA were used to measure NETs levels in placental tissues.Fol-lowing NETs generation and treatment of human extravillous trophoblast(EVT)HTR8/Svneo strain with NETs,RNA se-quencing was utilized to identify potential signaling pathways through which NETs regulate trophoblast function.RE-SULTS:Neutrophil infiltration, and expression of NETs formation critical genes,MPO(myeloperoxidase)and ELANE(elastase, neutrophil expressed),in neutrophils were significantly increased in PE placentas compared with controls. The level of NETs was elevated in PE placentas as well. The NETs significantly inhibited the migration of HTR8/Svneo cells.Disrupted F-actin arrangement, aggregate formation, and reduced paxillin expression were observed in NETs-treated HTR8/Svneo cells.Single-cell sequencing analysis revealed that focal adhesion and stress fiber pathways were down-regu-lated in the EVT of PE placenta.CONCLUSION:Neutrophil infiltration and NETs formation were increased in PE.The NETs may inhibit EVT migration by inducing stress fiber disassembly and down-regulating paxillin expression, thereby dis-rupting cytoskeletal organization and focal adhesion formation.

Chinese Medical Sciences Journal 2025;40(3):219-231
OBJECTIVES:
This systematic review examines recent pharmacoeconomic literature on denosumab' cost-effectiveness for bone metastasis treatment, providing evidence-based insights to guide healthcare policy decisions.
METHODS:
A comprehensive literature search was performed across Cochrane, PubMed, EMBASE (Ovid), CNKI, and Wanfang databases to identify original articles published between 2017 and 2023. Key words consisted of bone metastases, denosumab, and cost-effectiveness in the search strategy. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed utilizing the revised Consolidated Health Economic Evaluation Reporting Standards (CHEERS 2022). Data was extracted regarding methodological characteristics and cost-effectiveness analyses.
RESULTS:
A total of 111 studies were retrieved, of which 6 met the inclusion criteria. All included studies were based on clinical trials and published literature data and exhibited high methodological quality. Up to 83% (5 out of 6) of comparisons demonstrated that denosumab was more cost-effective or dominant compared to zoledronic acid. The adjusted incremental cost-effectiveness ratios varied substantially by tumor type, ranging from CZK 436,339.09 to USD 136,234 per skeletal-related event avoided and from CZK 61,580.95 to USD 118,392.11 per quality-adjusted life year gained.
CONCLUSIONS
The majority of the included studies support denosumab as a more cost-effective treatment option for bone metastases in solid tumors compared to zoledronic acid. The application of CHEER (2022) enhances the reliability of pharmacoeconomic evaluations.
