ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Yueju Wan on the 5-hydroxytryptamine （5-HT） signaling pathway in rats with functional dyspepsia （FD） and to explore its therapeutic mechanism in the treatment of FD. MethodsSixty Sprague-Dawley （SD） rats were randomly divided into a normal group， model group， mosapride group （1.575 mg·kg^-1）， and Yueju Wan low-， medium-， and high-dose groups （0.735， 1.47， and 2.94 g·kg^-1， respectively）. The FD rat model was established using GUO's tail-clamping stimulation combined with irregular feeding. After 14 days of modeling， rats were administered the corresponding drugs by gavage for 28 days. After treatment， gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate were measured. Serum levels of 5-HT， tryptophan hydroxylase （TPH）， and substance P （SP） were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）， and acetylcholine （ACh） levels were determined by chemical methods. Histopathological changes in the gastric antrum were observed using hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining. Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction （Real-time PCR） and Western blot were used to assess the mRNA and protein expression levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine 4 receptor （5-HT4R）， SP， and acetylcholinesterase （AChE） in colon tissue， as well as 5-hydroxytryptamine 3 receptor （5-HT3R）， SP， and AChE in hypothalamic tissue. Immunohistochemistry （IHC） was used to examine the expression of 5-HT and 5-HT4R in the colon and 5-HT and 5-HT3R in the hypothalamus. ResultsCompared with the normal group， the gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate in the model group were significantly decreased （P<0.01）. Serum levels of 5-HT， SP， ACh， and TPH were significantly reduced （P<0.01）. Histopathological examination revealed irregular arrangement of glands in the gastric antrum， slight mucosal atrophy， and mild inflammatory cell infiltration. The mRNA and protein expression levels of 5-HT4R， SP， and AChE in colon tissue， as well as 5-HT3R， SP， and AChE in hypothalamic tissue， were significantly decreased （P<0.01）， and 5-HT protein expression in both the colon and hypothalamus was also significantly reduced （P<0.01）. Compared with the model group， all Yueju Wan groups showed significantly increased gastric emptying rate and small intestinal propulsion rate （P<0.01）. The glands in the gastric antrum were more regularly arranged， with no inflammatory cell infiltration observed. Serum levels of 5-HT， SP， ACh， and TPH were significantly increased （P<0.01）. The mRNA and protein expression levels of 5-HT4R， SP， and AChE in colon tissue and 5-HT3R， SP， and AChE in hypothalamic tissue were significantly upregulated （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and 5-HT protein expression in both the colon and hypothalamus was significantly increased （P<0.01）. ConclusionYueju Wan has preventive and therapeutic effects on FD， and its mechanism may be related to regulation of the 5-HT signaling pathway， promotion of brain-gut peptide secretion， and enhancement of gastric motility.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of Danggui Shaoyaosan on ferroptosis in the rat model of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease （NAFLD） and explore the underlying mechanism based on the nuclear factor E₂-related factor 2 （Nrf2）/solute carrier family 7 member 11 （SLC7A11）/glutathione peroxidase 4 （GPX4） signaling pathway. MethodsThe sixty SD rats were randomly grouped as follows： control， model， Yishanfu （0.144 g·kg^-1）， and low-， medium-， and high-dose （2.44， 4.88， and 9.76 g·kg^-1， respectively） Danggui Shaoyaosan. A high-fat diet was used to establish the rat model of NAFLD. After 12 weeks of modeling， rats were treated with corresponding agents for 4 weeks. Then， the body weight and liver weight were measured， and the liver index was calculated. At the same time， serum and liver samples were collected. The levels or activities of total cholesterol （TC）， triglycerides （TG）， alanine aminotransferase （ALT）， aspartate aminotransferase （AST）， and Fe²⁺ in the serum and TC， TG， free fatty acids （FFA）， malondialdehyde （MDA）， superoxide dismutase （SOD）， glutathione peroxidase （GPX）， and Fe²⁺ in the liver were measured. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and oil red O staining were employed to observe the pathological changes in the liver. Immunofluorescence was used to assess the reactive oxygen species （ROS） content in the liver. Mitochondrial morphology was observed by transmission electron microscopy. The protein levels of Nrf2， SLC7A11， GPX4， transferrin receptor 1 （TFR1）， and divalent metal transporter 1 （DMT1） in the liver were determined by Western blot. ResultsCompared with the control group， the model group showed increases in the body weight， liver weight， liver index， levels or activities of TC， TG， ALT， AST， and Fe²⁺ in the serum， levels of TC， TG， FFA， MDA， Fe²⁺， and ROS in the liver， and protein levels of TFR1 and DMT1 in the liver （P<0.01）， and decreases in the activities of SOD， GPX and the protein levels of Nrf2， SLC7A11， and GPX4 in the liver （P<0.05， P<0.01）. Meanwhile， the liver tissue in the model group presented steatosis， iron deposition， mitochondrial shrinkage， and blurred or swollen mitochondrial cristae. Compared with the model group， all doses of Danggui Shaoyaosan reduced the body weight， liver weight， liver index， levels or activities of TC， TG， ALT， AST， and Fe²⁺ in the serum， levels of TC， TG， FFA， MDA， Fe²⁺， and ROS in the liver， and protein levels of TFR1 and DMT1 in the liver （P<0.01）， while increasing the activities of SOD and GPX and the protein levels of Nrf2， SLC7A11， and GPX4 in the liver （P<0.01）. Furthermore， Danggui Shaoyaosan alleviated steatosis， iron deposition， and mitochondrial damage in the liver. ConclusionDanggui Shaoyaosan may inhibit lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis by activating the Nrf2/SLC7A11/GPX4 signaling pathway to treat NAFLD.

Objective: To investigate the value of decreased carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9) kinetics in predicting short-term outcomes and determining prognosis among advanced biliary or pancreatic cancer patients receiving first-or second-line therapy in the real world. Methods : Eighty-nine patients were retrospectively collected with advanced biliary or pancreatic cancer, especially on the CA19-9 dynamics and decline rates at different time points. This study evaluated the association of CA19-9 changes with clinicopathological features, short-term response to antitumor therapy, and survival outcomes. Results : The enrolled patients recorded baseline CA19-9 levels ranging from 1.20 to 65 706.40 U/ml, with a median of 303.11 U/ml. There was no statistical correlation between baseline CA19-9 levels and gender, age, body mass index, primary tumor site, hepatic metastases, pulmonary metastases, lymph node metastases, peritoneal metastases, performance status, treatment lines, and combinations of drug types. Baseline CA19-9 levels were not associated with systemic immunoinflammatory index, prognostic nutritional index, and total bilirubin. A 25% or 50% decrease in CA19-9 after 2-3 therapy courses indicated short-term efficacy in reaching tumor objective remission or disease control. Both combinations of multiple drug types and a 25% decline in CA19-9 after one course of treatment were independent prognostic factors that affected the longer progression-free survival of patients receiving first or second line of treatment. Conclusion Decreased CA19-9 kinetics has specific values in predicting the efficacy and prognosis of advanced biliary or pancreatic cancer.

Objective To establish a mouse model of bronchiectasis with acute infection and evaluate the immunogenicity and protective effect of a self-assembling Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PA)nanoparticle vaccine rePO-FN based on fusion of PcrV-OprI(rePO)protein with self-assembling ferritin(Ferritin).Methods ① SPF-grade female C57BL/6 mice(aged 6～8 weeks,weighing 18～20 g)were randomly allocated into normal saline group,and low-,medium-and high-dose elastase groups(n=6).A mouse model of bronchiectasis was established via intratracheal instillation of different doses of elastase(30 μL of normal saline containing 0.65,1.30 and 2.60 IU elastase)for 3 consecutive days.At 14 and 21 d after modeling,ELISA and HE staining were performed respectively to detect the concentration of IL-6 and to observe pathological changes in lung tissue in order to confirm the modeling.② A recombinant plasmid encoding the gene of fusion protein rePO-FN was constructed and expressed in E.coli.The target protein was purified via affinity chromatography and renatured to obtain the desired protein.The physicochemical properties of the rePO-FN protein were characterized using SDS-PAGE protein gel electrophoresis,dynamic light scattering,molecular sieve chromatography,and transmission electron microscopy.③ C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into PBS group,rePO group,rePO-FN group,and Ferritin group(n=10).The mice in the above groups were immunized intramuscularly with 100 μL PBS buffer alone or containing 10 μg of corresponding proteins on days 0,7,and 14.ELISA was used to measure the specific antibodies in serum.In 7 d after the final immunization,an acute PA infection model was used to compare the survival rates and bacterial colonization among the PBS,rePO,and rePO-FN groups.After establishing a bronchiectasis model by intratracheal instillation of 2.60 IU of elastase in C57BL/6J mice as described above,the mice were randomly divided into bronchiectasis PBS group,bronchiectasis rePO group,and bronchiectasis rePO-FN group(n=10).Immunization was conducted at the same dose and procedure as described above,in 21 d after bronchiectasis modeling.At the 7th d after the final immunization,an acute PA infection model was used to compare the survival rates and bacterial colonization among the groups.Results ①Repeated intratracheal instillation of elastase significantly increased the concentration of IL-6 in the lung tissue when compared to the content of the normal saline group(P＜0.05).Pathological observations revealed varying degrees of bronchial wall destruction,alveolar fusion,edema,neutrophil infiltration,and hemorrhage,with the severity increasing with elastase dose,which confirming successful establishment of the mouse model of bronchiectasis.② Well-dispersed rePO-FN nanoparticles were successfully prepared,with an average particle size of 91.28 nm,a Zeta potential of approximately-6.5 mV,and a polydispersity index(PDI)of 0.306.Molecular sieve chromatography determined the elution volume of rePO-FN protein to be 8.80 mL,corresponding to a molecular weight of approximately 1 400 kDa.③ Under acute PA XN-1 strain infection,the survival rate of the rePO-FN immunization group and the bronchiectasis rePO-FN immunization group were significantly higher than that of the PBS control group(P＜0.05).Additionally,bacterial colonization in the lung tissues was significantly lower in the rePO-FN immune group and the bronchiectasis rePO-FN immune group under acute PA XN-1 strain infection than that in the rePO group and the bronchiectasis rePO group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Our vaccine rePO-FN can effectively trigger a strong humoral immune response and provide significant protection against PA infection in a mouse bronchiectasis model.

Objective To report the diagnosis,treatment,and verification process of a patient with sex development disorder whose chromosomal karyotype and genetic test results are inconsistent,and conduct a literature review to improve the understanding of the mosaic status of sexual development disorders.Methods A 14-year-old patient presented with primary amenorrhea on April 3,2020,at the First Affiliated Hospital of Hebei North University,exhibiting female sexual characteristics.The patient underwent ultrasonic/magnetic resonance imaging of gonads,assessment of gonadal axis function,chromosomal karyotype,and molecular genetic testing,as well as pelvic exploration,malignant gonads resection,and hormone replacement therapy,resulting in drug-induced menstruation.During the diagnosis and treatment,it was found that the patient's chromosomal karyotype analysis was inconsistent with the molecular genetic test results.Subsequently,samples from the three germ layer cells were taken,and fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)was used to detect the sex chromosomes in each germ layer cell.XY probes were used to label the gonadal pathological sections to explore the distribution differences of the Y chromosome in the gonads,and changes in anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)levels before and after surgery were compared.Databases such as Wanfang and PubMed were searched to summarize relevant cohort study literature and understand the current status of research on this disease.Results The patient's body exhibited a significant differences between the 45,X and 46,XY cell lines in different germ layers and within the same layer tissues.The proportion of 45,X in buccal mucosal cells derived from the ectoderm was 30%(6/20),in peripheral blood lymphocytes derived from the mesoderm was 9.7%(11/114),and in bladder shed cells derived from endoderm was 20.4%(22/108).The gonadal pathological sections labeled with XY probes indicated a mosaic state with a reduced Y-chromosome;where the epididymal structure area had a 45,X cell line mosaic of 50.0%,and the malignant area had a normal"Y"content.After gonadal resection,AMH levels significantly dropped from 7.28 pmol/L to＜0.07 pmol/L.Literature review revealed that patients with 45,X/46,XY have a complex phenotype spectrum,most with features of Turner syndrome,and female phenotypes are at risk of gonadal tumors.Conclusions In the diagnosis of difficult cases of sex development disorders,when performing peripheral blood karyotype testing,the number of counted cells and analyzed cells should be increased as much as possible,and multi-germ layer cell sampling should be performed.Gonads with a high"Y"mosaic rate are more prone to malignancy in the abdominal cavity.Detecting AMH levels can distinguish cryptorchidism and anorchidism in sexual development disorders with Y chromosomes.

Objective To investigate the effect of simple carbohydrate given 2 h before operation on postoperative insulin resistance and gastrointestinal function in elderly patients with trauma undergoing spinal anesthesia.Methods This was a randomized controlled clinical study.A total of 90 elderly patients with intertrochanteric femoral fracture/femoral neck fracture admitted to the Traumatic Orthopedics Department of the Fourth Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from October 2023 to February 2024 were randomly divided equally into control group(fasting with water before surgery)and carbohydrate group(CHO group,drinking 200 ml of pulsatile water at 2 h before surgery).All the patients received spinal anesthesia.The control group excluded 2 patients who completed surgery and were admitted to the ICU,2 patients received epidural anesthesia,and finally included 41 patients;3 patients were excluded from the CHO group under epidural anesthesia,2 patients underwent surgery under general anesthesia,and finally 40 patients were included.Baseline data of patients were collected,including gender,age,Charlson comorbidity index(CCI),presence or absence of diabetes,body mass index(BMI),American Association of Anesthesiologists(ASA)classification,etc.The patient's surgical time,intraoperative blood loss,first postoperative exhaust time,type of surgery,length of hospital stay,mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)at four time points during surgery[entry(T1),post-anesthesia(T2),mid-operation(T3),and exit(T4)],perioperative blood glucose,insulin levels,C-reactive protein(CRP),and intestinal barrier function indicators(diamine oxidase,D-lactate,and bacterial endotoxin),as well as self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),visual analogue scale of pain(VAS),and Ramsay scores were recorded.Preoperative and postoperative use of the delirium diagnostic scale(3D-CAM)assessed the presence of delirium in patients.Results Eighty-one patients aged(77.7±9.5)years were included.Compared with control group,the first exhaust time in CHO group was significantly shorter[4.59(3.25,7.39)h vs.10.23(7.97,14.76)h,P<0.001],postoperative insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)was significantly decreased[5.13(2.38,10.30)vs.7.34(2.31,12.55),P<0.001].The change rate of HOMA-IR(ΔHOMA-IR)also decreased significantly(P<0.001);There were no significant differences in intestinal barrier function indexes between the two groups(P>0.05);The levels of D-lactic acid and bacterial endotoxin in control group were significantly increased after operation,and the differences were statistically significant(P=0.010,P=0.031),In CHO group,there was no significant difference in preoperative and postoperative indexes(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the perioperative scale score,incidence of delirium and the length of hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Taking simple carbohydrates 2 h before surgery can significantly shorten the first exhaust time,reduce insulin resistance and the incidence of delirium,and improve gastrointestinal function in elderly trauma patients undergoing spinal anesthesia,thus providing clinical basis for accelerated postoperative rehabilitation in elderly patients.

BACKGROUND: P16 inactivation is frequently accompanied by telomerase reverse transcriptase ( TERT ) amplification in human cancer genomes. P16 inactivation by DNA methylation often occurs automatically during immortalization of normal cells by TERT . However, direct evidence remains to be obtained to support the causal effect of epigenetic changes, such as P16 methylation, on cancer development. This study aimed to provide experimental evidence that P16 methylation directly drives cancer development. METHODS: A zinc finger protein-based P16 -specific DNA methyltransferase (P16-Dnmt) vector containing a "Tet-On" switch was used to induce extensive methylation of P16 CpG islands in normal human fibroblast CCD-18Co cells. Battery assays were used to evaluate cell immortalization and transformation throughout their lifespan. Cell subcloning and DNA barcoding were used to track the diversity of cell evolution. RESULTS: Leaking P16-Dnmt expression (without doxycycline-induction) could specifically inactivate P16 expression by DNA methylation. P16 methylation only promoted proliferation and prolonged lifespan but did not induce immortalization of CCD-18Co cells. Notably, cell immortalization, loss of contact inhibition, and anchorage-independent growth were always prevalent in P16-Dnmt&TERT cells, indicating cell transformation. In contrast, almost all TERT cells died in the replicative crisis. Only a few TERT cells recovered from the crisis, in which spontaneous P16 inactivation by DNA methylation occurred. Furthermore, the subclone formation capacity of P16-Dnmt&TERT cells was two-fold that of TERT cells. DNA barcoding analysis showed that the diversity of the P16-Dnmt&TERT cell population was much greater than that of the TERT cell population. CONCLUSION P16 methylation drives TERT -mediated immortalization and transformation of normal human cells that may contribute to cancer development.

This study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism of rubioncolin C(RuC) in inhibiting gastric cancer(GC). AGS and MGC803 cell lines were selected as cellular models. After treating the cells with RuC at different concentrations, the effects of RuC on the proliferation ability of GC cells were assessed using the CCK-8 method, real-time cellular analysis(RTCA), and colony formation assays. Transmission electron microscopy was used to observe subcellular structural changes. Immunofluorescence was applied to detect LC3 fluorescent foci. Acridine orange staining was used to evaluate the state of intracellular lysosomes. Western blot was employed to detect the expression of autophagy-related proteins LC3Ⅱ, P62, and lysosomal cathepsin D(CTSD). The SuperPred online tool was used to predict the target proteins that bound to RuC, and molecular docking analysis was conducted to identify the interaction sites between RuC and CTSD. The drug affinity responsive target stability(DARTS) assay was performed to detect the direct binding interaction between RuC and CTSD. The results showed that RuC significantly inhibited the proliferation and colony formation of GC cells at low concentrations, with 24-hour half-maximal inhibitory concentrations(IC_(50)) of 3.422 and 2.697 μmol·L~(-1) for AGS and MGC803 cells, respectively. After 24 hours of treatment with RuC at concentrations of 1, 2, and 3 μmol·L~(-1), the colony formation rates for AGS cells were 61.0%±1.5%, 28.0%±0.5%, and 18.2%±0.5%, respectively, while the rates for MGC803 cells were 56.0%±0.5%, 23.3%±1.0%, and 11.8%±1.0%, all of which were significantly reduced. Transmission electron microscopy revealed that RuC promoted an increase in autophagosome formation in GC cells. Immunofluorescence detection showed that LC3 fluorescent foci of GC cells increased with the increase in RuC dose. RuC up-regulated the expression of autophagy-related proteins LC3Ⅱ and P62 in GC cells. Acridine orange staining indicated that RuC altered the acidic environment of lysosomes. SuperPred online prediction identified CTSD as a potential target protein of RuC. Western blot analysis revealed that RuC induced the up-regulation of the inactive precursor of CTSD in GC cells. CTSD activity assays indicated that RuC reduced the activity of CTSD. Molecular docking simulations found that RuC bound to the substrate-binding region of CTSD, forming hydrogen bonds with the Tyr205 and Asp231 residues. Microscale thermophoresis and DARTS assays further confirmed that RuC directly bound to CTSD. In summary, RuC inhibits lysosomal activity by targeting and down-regulating the expression of CTSD, thereby inducing autophagosome accumulation in GC cells.

Through a comprehensive analysis combining network pharmacology prediction and transcriptomics, this study systematically explained the multi-target mechanism of Cyanotis arachnoidea(CA) Gel in improving melasma. A melasma model was induced in female SD rats by progesterone injection combined with ultraviolet B(UVB) irradiation for 40 consecutive days, while the blank control group was only fed routinely. After successful model establishment, the rats were randomly divided into five groups and administered different doses of CA ethanol extract gel(high, medium, and low doses) or arbutin Gel(positive control), which were applied once daily for 28 consecutive days. Subsequently, the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD), malondialdehyde(MDA), and tyrosinase(TYR) in the skin, serum, and liver tissues were measured. Hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining and Masson-Fontana staining were used to observe the pathological changes in the tissues. Network pharmacology combined with transcriptomics was employed to identify core targets and pathways, and the differential gene expression was validated by quantitative real-time PCR(qPCR). Pharmacodynamic experiments showed that CA Gel significantly increased SOD activity and decreased MDA and TYR levels in the skin, serum, and liver of model rats. It also improved epidermal thickening, inflammatory infiltration, collagen loss, and melanin deposition. Network pharmacology analysis showed that CA mainly regulated core targets such as signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), and interleukin-6(IL-6), and modulated the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)-protein kinase B(AKT) and interleukin-17(IL-17) signaling pathways. Transcriptomic analysis showed that CA Gel significantly downregulated the gene expression of heat shock protein 90β family member 1(Hsp90b1), heat shock protein 90α family member 1(Hsp90aa1), and the key steroid synthesis enzyme cytochrome P450 family 17 subfamily A member 1(Cyp17a1), while upregulating thioredoxin 1(Txn1). qPCR results confirmed that CA Gel regulated oxidative stress and inflammatory response by inhibiting the IL-17 signaling pathway and steroid hormone synthesis. This study, for the first time, reveals the molecular mechanism of CA Gel in improving melasma through multi-target synergistic regulation of oxidative stress, inflammatory response, and hormone metabolism pathways, providing a scientific basis for the treatment of pigmentation diseases with traditional Chinese medicine.

OBJECTIVE: Objective To investigate the relationship between cervical disc herniation and C₀-C₂ Cobb angle. METHODS: The clinical data of 301 patients with cervical disc herniation from 2020 to 2024 were retrospectively analyzed. The median value of C₀-C₂ Cobb angle measurements from 301 patients was used as the boundary, cervical disc herniation patients were divided into two groups, C₀-C₂ Cobb angle <28.50 group and 151 patients with C₀-C₂ Cobb angle≥28.50 group. Among them, 150 patients in C₀-C₂ Cobb angle <28.50 group included 53 males and 97 females, aged 23 to 76 (57.32±12.55) years, with a disease duration of 7 to 19 (13.81±5.32) months;the othor 151 patients with C₀-C₂ Cobb angle≥28.50 group including 61 males and 90 females, aged 25 to 74 (56.86±12.51) years, with a disease duration of 8 to 18 (14.13±5.56) months. The cervical lordosis angle (C₀-C₂ Cobb angle and C₂-C₇ Cobb angle), T₁ inclination slope (T₁S) and cervical sagittal axial distance (C₂-C₇ SVA) were measured on the lateral cervical radiographs. The correlation between C₀-C₂ Cobb angle and cervical disc herniation range, protrusion position, average protrusion size and other parameters was analyzed. RESULTS: When the C₀-C₂ Cobb angle<28.50°, the average protrusion size was (2.21±0.56) mm, the C₂-C₇ Cobb angle was (19.92±12.06)° and the C₂-C₇ SVA was (1.10±1.20) mm. When the C₀-C₂ Cobb angle≥28.50°, the average protrusion size was (2.38±0.60) mm, the C₂-C₇ Cobb angle was (12.01±13.09 )°, the C₂-C₇ SVA was (1.53±1.36) mm, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Between the two groups of patients with C₀-C₂ Cobb angle < 28.50° and C₀-C₂ Cobb angle≥28.50°, there were significant differences in the size of C_3,4, C_4,5, C_5,6, C_6,7, C₇, T₁ disc herniation in single segment (P<0.05 ). C₀-C₂ Cobb angle was correlated with age(r=-0.135, P<0.05 ), C₂-C₇ Cobb angle (r=-0.382, P<0.01 ), C₂-C₇ SVA (r=0.293, P<0.01), average protrusion size (r=0.139, P<0.05), and the size of C_3,4 (r=0.215, P<0.01 ), C_4,5 (r=0.176, P<0.01 ), C_5,6 (r=0.144, P<0.05 ), C_6,7 (r=0.158, P<0.05 ), C₇T₁ (r=0.535, P<0.05) disc herniation. CONCLUSION There is a positive correlation between C₀-C₂ Cobb angle and the size of cervical disc herniation. C₀-C₂ Cobb angle can reflect the degree of cervical disc herniation. Previous studies have shown that the biomechanical changes between C₀-C₂ Cobb angle, C₂-C₇ Cobb angle, C₂-C₇ SVA and cervical extensor muscle group may be risk factors for accelerating cervical disc herniation and this may be one of the mechanisms that C₀-C₂ Cobb angle is positively correlated with the size of cervical disc herniation.
