Optical coherence tomography(OCT)based on near-infrared light backscattering or reflection,offers an extremely high resolution up to 10 μm.OCT technology has been widely applied in the field of coronary artery disease,but its application in cerebrovascular disease awaits further exploration.Current studies indicate that OCT holds unique advantages in the diagnosis and treatment of ischemic cerebrovascular diseases,including precise plaque characterization,postoperative stent surveillance,and long-term follow-up management.In cases of hemorrhagic cerebrovascular diseases,OCT can assist in evaluating the morphological characteristics of intracranial aneurysms,rupture risk,treatment efficacy,and recurrence.Furthermore,preliminary studies suggest OCT holds potential application value in evaluation of cerebral venous disorders.Future high-quality clinical studies are warranted to further elucidate OCT's clinical value in cerebrovascular disease management and establish standardized application criteria.

Objective:To investigate the status of nursing practice and organizational management for reperfusion therapy in ischemic stroke across medical institutions in Beijing.Methods:In June 2023, a survey was conducted among nursing managers from 62 medical institutions under the jurisdiction of the Beijing Stroke Treatment Quality Control and Improvement Center. The survey aimed to assess the current nursing practices and organizational management for reperfusion therapy in ischemic stroke.Results:Among the 62 medical institutions, 16.13% (10/62) had dedicated reperfusion therapy nurses for stroke, and 87.10% (54/62) had established specific nursing protocols and procedures for stroke reperfusion therapy within their departments. However, 27.42% (17/62) of these institutions based the development and updates of their protocols on experiential summaries rather than standardized guidelines. In terms of nursing practice, there was room for improvement in emergency identification and triage of suspected stroke patients, assistance with intravenous thrombolysis, patient condition monitoring, early rehabilitation, and related health education. Regarding nursing quality control, significant differences were observed between institutions that regularly conducted quality control of stroke reperfusion therapy nursing and those that organized regular training sessions for nurses in this area ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:While nursing practices and quality for stroke reperfusion therapy in Beijing are progressing, there are disparities in regional development. There is a high demand for specialized stroke nursing and targeted technical training.

Objective To explore the pathological features of Aβ1-42 deposition and its correlation with Apolipoprotein E in brain of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type Ⅱ diabetic rats.Methods High fat diet combined with small dose of STZ induced diabetic rats were adopted as experiment rats,and randomly divided into 3 months old diabetes mellitus group and 6 months old diabetes mellitus group (n=15).Healthy Wistar rats were adopted as control rats,and divided 3 months old control group and 6 months old control group (n=15).The Aβ1-42 and ApoE location and expressions were detected by immtmohistochemistry.Real-time fluorogenic quantitative-PCR and Westem blotting were used to detect the mRNA and protein levels of ApoE in each group.Results Immunohistochemical results showed that Aβ1-42 in the brain of the diabetic rats gathered around the vessel wall and blood vessel.The number of Aβ1-42 and ApoE positively-stained cells and positively-stained vessels was significantly larger and the ApoE mRNA and protein expressions were significantly increased in the 6 months old diabetes mellitus group as compared with those in the 3 months old diabetes mellitus group (P＜0.05).The number of Aβ1-42 and ApoE positively-stained cells and positively-stained vessels was significantly larger and the ApoE mRNA and protein expressions were significantly increased in the 6 months old control groupas compared with those in the 3 months old control group (P＜0.05).As compared with that in the 6 months old control group,the number of Aβ11-42 and ApoE positively-stained cells and positively-stained vessels was significantly larger and the ApoE mRNA and protein expressions were significantly increased in the 6 months old diabetes mellitus group (P＜0.05).As compared with that in the 3 months old control group,the number of Aβ1-42 and ApoE positively-stained cells and positively-stained vessels was significantly larger and the ApoE mRNA and protein expressions was significantly increased in the 3 months old diabetes mellitus group (P＜0.05).Person correlation coefficient indicated that the number of positively-stained cells of Aβ-42 was positively correlated to ApoE protein expression level (r=0.9755,P=0.000).Conclusions Aβ1-42 in the brain of type Ⅱ diabetic rats expresses both in blood vessel wall and around blood vessel.Age and duration of diabetes can increase the deposition of A3 and ApoE in brain tissues,and there is a positive correlation between them.
