Objective To investigate the microbial contamination and its influencing factors of indoor air in public places in Xi'an City, to assess the health risk of employees, and to provide a scientific basis for improving the indoor environment of public places. Methods Total bacterial count and total fungal count in indoor air were monitored in hotels/inns, shopping malls/supermarkets, gyms, and waiting rooms in Xi'an from 2023 to 2024. The health risk assessment of employees was evaluated according to the Chinese Population Exposure Parameters Manual (Adult Volume). Results Overall, the standard-exceeding rate of total bacterial count in Xi'an was 3.85%, and the median values of total bacterial count and total fungal count were 350 CFU/m3 and 300 CFU/m3, respectively. The results of the generalized linear model showed that high indoor temperature and PM10 levels were associated with increased indoor bacterial concentrations (β>0, P<0.05), while high daily passenger flow, and high indoor relative humidity and PM10 levels were associated with increased indoor fungal concentrations (β>0, P<0.05). The multivariate logistic regression showed that high levels of indoor bacterial and fungal concentrations were risk factors for respiratory discomfort among employees. The hazard quotient (HQ) values for all types of public places were less than 1, indicating that the health risk of microbial aerosol exposures for employees was relatively low. Conclusion The indoor microbial pollution in public places in Xi'an is relatively mild, but countermeasures still need to be taken to reduce indoor air microbial contamination.

Objective:To systematically analyze the incidence and influencing factors of frailty in elderly patients with hematologic malignancies. Methods:Research on frailty in elderly patients with hematologic malignancies was retrieved from Chinese and English databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, PubMed, and Web of Science. The search period was from database establishment to August 23, 2024. Two researchers screened the included studies, conducted quality assessment, and extracted data. Meta-analysis was conducted using Stata 18 and RevMan 5.4.Results:A total of seven studies were included, encompassing 19 076 elderly hematologic malignancy patients, with a frailty incidence of 59% [95% CI (0.48, 0.69) ]. Meta-analysis revealed that age [ MD=4.31, 95% CI (3.67, 4.96) ], gender [ OR=0.88, 95% CI (0.83, 0.93) ], alcohol consumption [ OR=1.67, 95% CI (1.15, 2.44) ], self-care ability [ MD=-1.79, 95% CI (-3.17, -0.41) ], anemia [ OR=6.67, 95% CI (2.94, 15.14) ], infection [ OR=1.81, 95% CI (1.16, 2.84) ], and neuropathy [ OR=2.52, 95% CI (1.38, 4.61) ] were the influencing factors of frailty in elderly patients with hematologic malignancies. Conclusions:The incidence of frailty is high in elderly patients with hematologic malignancies. Elderly patients with hematologic malignancies who are older, female, consume alcohol, have low self-care ability, anemia, infections, and neuropathy are prone to frailty. Healthcare providers can conduct early screening and intervention for high-risk populations of frailty based on risk factors to improve the quality of life for elderly hematologic malignancy patients.

Contrast-free percutaneous coronary intervention demonstrates significant value in reducing contrast-associated risks. This article reports a case of a patient with iodine contrast allergy and complex coronary artery disease(involving the left main stem, left anterior descending artery, and diagonal branch),who successfully underwent contrast-free percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)through the integration of CT angiography(CCTA),intravascular ultrasound(IVUS),and fractional flow reserve(FFR)technology.Preoperative CCTA delineated the anatomy and planned the procedural approach.Intraoperatively,IVUS assessed plaque burden and vascular remodeling, precisely guiding stent selection and positioning.FFR was combined to evaluate the functional significance of the left main stem lesion and the ischemic significance of the specific stenosis in the left anterior descending artery.Post-procedural assessment evaluated stent result and the degree of flow limitation in the diagonal branch.Through"structure-function"dual optimization, revascularization of the left anterior descending artery was achieved using a single-stent strategy, avoiding intervention on the left main stem. This case confirms that multi-modality imaging techniques can safely manage complex lesions, significantly reduce contrast volume, and are suitable for high-risk patients with allergies or renal insufficiency.Future efforts should focus on standardizing technical protocols and accumulating evidence-based evidence to facilitate the clinical implementation of contrast-free interventions.
