Objective:To explore the effect of modified reed tube moxibustion based on spleen-kidney mutual assistance theory in patients with continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) combined with spleen-kidney yang deficiency type of insomnia.Methods:From September 2020 to December 2022, 64 patients with CAPD combined with insomnia of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type were selected from the Department of Nephrology, Ningbo Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang Chinese Medical University by the convenience sampling method. A randomized numerical table method was used to divide study subjects into a control group and a study group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment and auricular needle-embedding therapy; while the study group received traditional treatment and auricular needle-embedding therapy combined with modified reed tube moxibustion. The intervention period lasted three months. Differences in Insomnia Severity Index, Chinese medicine syndrome score, and peritoneal dialysis adequacy were compared between the two groups.Results:After intervention, the Insomnia Severity Index score of the study group was lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The urea clearance index and creatinine clearance rate of the study group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05) . Conclusions:Modified reed tube moxibustion based on spleen-kidney mutual assistance theory has a positive effect on improving insomnia symptoms and dialysis adequacy in patients with CAPD combined with insomnia of spleen-kidney yang deficiency type.

convalescents, and to screen for broad-spectrum neutralizing antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 RBD. Methods Using biotinylated RBD as a molecular probe, flow cytometry was employed to perform single-cell sorting of B cells from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of convalescents. The obtained B cells were lysed and subjected to reverse transcription, followed by nested PCR amplification of the heavy and light chains of antibodies was conducted using random primers. The amplified products were cloned into corresponding expression vectors, and the respective matched heavy-light chain plasmids were co-transfected into 293F cells for expression. Monoclonal antibodies were then purified using Protein A column chromatography. Neutralization experiments were conducted with the wild-type (WT) pseudovirus, and antibodies with IC50<0.1 μg/mL were selected for further testing of neutralizing breadth and potency against the wild-type (WT), Beta variant (B.1.351), Delta variant (B.1.617.2), and currently prevalent pseudovirus strains (XBB, BA.5, BF.7). Results A total of 21 RBD-specific monoclonal B cells were obtained from two recovered patients, resulting in the isolation of 13 pairs of antibody light/heavy chains. Nine antibodies were successfully expressed, with P1-A1, P1-B6, and P1-B9 exhibiting IC50 values below 0.1 μg/mL against the pseudovirus of the wild-type strain (WT). Specifically, P1-B6 effectively neutralized the wild-type strain (WT), Beta variant (B.1.351), and Delta variant (B.1.617.2), with IC50 values reaching 0.01 μg/mL. P1-B9 demonstrated effective neutralization against the wild-type strain (WT), Beta variant (B.1.351), Delta variant (B.1.617.2), and Gamma variant (P.1) pseudoviruses, with IC50 values of 0.42 μg/mL, 0.63 μg/mL, 0.28 μg/mL, and 2.50 μg/mL, respectively. Additionally, P1-B6 exhibited good neutralization against BA.5 and BF.7 pseudoviruses, with IC50 values of 0.06 μg/mL and 0.09 μg/mL, respectively. Conclusions Infection with the SARS-CoV-2 WT strain can induce the generation of neutralizing antibodies with broad-spectrum activity. Generating these broadly neutralizing antibodies does not require an excessively high somatic hypermutation. The obtained antibodies can be used as candidates for SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis and prevention.

Objective:To explore the trajectory of postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder (PP-PTSD) in women of advanced maternal age and its influencing factors.Methods:From September 2021 to March 2023, convenience sampling was used to select women of advanced maternal age in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Taizhou Hospital of Zhejiang Province as participants. Parturients were surveyed at one week, one month, six months, and 12 months after delivering using General Information Questionnaire, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Check-list-civilian Version, Social Capital Scale, and 10-item Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale. The latent growth mixture model was used to analyze the trajectory of PP-PTSD.Results:A total of 467 questionnaires were distributed, and 456 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid rate of 97.64%. There were four types of PP-PTSD trajectories in women of advanced maternal age, namely non PP-PTSD type (71.27%, 325/456), early onset-gradual recovery type (12.06%, 55/456), early onset-prolonged type (9.21%, 42/456), and late onset-risk type (7.46%, 34/456). Univariate analysis showed that delivery mode, pregnancy complications, social capital, and psychological resilience were potential categories of influencing factors for the trajectory of PP-PTSD in women of advanced maternal age ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:There is population heterogeneity in the trajectory of PP-PTSD among women of advanced maternal age. It is recommended that medical and nursing staff dynamically monitor the PP-PTSD of women of advanced maternal age, identify their trajectory types early, and develop precise intervention measures based on classification.

Guided by the development of new medical science proposed by Ministry of Education and the "Education and Training Plan for Excellent Doctors 2.0", shifted from treatment-oriented to whole life-health cycle, we have explored curriculum ideological and political education in metabolic-related curriculum chain. Firstly, we constructed a core teaching team and had the training of curriculum ideological and political education. The top-level design was made with the integration of moral education into medical education. Secondly, the syllabus was comprehensively revised, containing the connotation of "morality education". The elements relevant to curriculum ideological and political education hidden behind professional courses were excavated. Finally, the mixed teaching mode of online combining with offline was carried out. Metabolism-related curriculum chain, focused on "metabolism, diabetes, obesity and patient education", formed a progressive link from basic medical science to practice to clinical, strengthening the "prevention, treatment and health care" based "one health" philosophy and giving full play to the implicit curriculum ideological and political education hidden behind professional courses. Our practice shows that the implementation of curriculum ideological and political education in metabolism-related curriculum has been accepted by students, and curriculum ideological and political education has been become part of professional courses. The "gene chimera" mode for curriculum ideological and political education incorporation into professional courses needs to be infiltrated imperceptibly, and the effect will be visualized in the future.

Objective:To explore effects of abdominal cupping along meridians on body weight, waist circumference and glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with central obesity.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 76 patients who were treated in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment Clinic of Ningbo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March to August 2019 were selected as the research objects. According to the simple random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was guided by health education of lifestyle and behavior based on traditional Chinese medicine theory. On this basis, the observation group took Shenque point as the center and performed flash cupping slowly in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction around the navel. Then cupping moving was performed on the abdomen following abdominal spleen meridian, stomach meridian, gallbladder meridian, kidney meridian, ren meridian and belt meridian from bottom to top and from top to bottom. Finally, cups were keptin Daheng acupoint, Fuai acupoint, Tianshu acupoint, Shuidao acupoint, Zhongwan, Guanyuan and belt meridian acupoint. Intervention was performed once a week, with 4 times as a course of treatment, and 3 courses of treatment were carried out for 12 weeks. The weight, body mass index (BMI) , waist circumference, blood glucose and blood lipid levels of patients of two groups after intervention were compared.Results:A total of 30 patients in the observation group and 34 patients in the control group completed the study. After 12 weeks of intervention, the weight, BMI, waist circumference, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Abdominal cupping along meridians can effectively improve waist circumference, body weight, BMI and glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with central obesity. The method is simple and safe, which is worthy of further promotion.

Parkinson′s disease is a motion disorder mostly occurring in middle and old age with high disability and death rate. According to epidemiological studies, the incidence of Parkinson′s disease increases year by year worldwide. Tremor is one of the four major symptoms of Parkinson′s disease. However, due to the similarity of signs with other diseases, the diagnosis is mostly based on the clinical experience of neurologist, which makes accurate identification of Parkinson′s disease tremor a challenge. Understanding tremors in Parkinson′s disease can be of help to more accurately diagnose the disease. This article reviews the research progress of tremors presented in Parkinson′s disease and other diseases, and their differentiation, which is expected to be helpful for the diagnosis of Parkinson′s disease.

[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the effects of salidroside on the proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma C33A cells and explore its possible mechanism. Methods: C33A cells were divided into 4 groups: control group, low-dose group (salidroside 50 μg/mL), high-dose group (salidroside 150 μg/mL), and AG490 group (inhibitor of JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway, 50 μmol/L). Effects of salidroside and AG490 on the proliferation, invasion and apoptosis of C33A cells were detected by MTT method, EdU labeling experiment, Transwell assay, Rh123 staining and Flow cytometry, respectively. Western blotting was used to detect the effects of salidroside and AG490 on the expressions of JAK2/STAT3 pathway-related proteins (p-JAK2, p-STAT3) and apoptosis-related proteins (Bax, Bcl-2, caspase-3) in C33A cells. Result: Compared with the control group, the proliferation and DNA synthesis as well as the invasion of C33Acells in the low-dose group were significantly inhibited (all P<0.05), while the apoptosis was significantly enhanced (P<0.05); in the meanwhile, the fluorescence intensity of Rh123 was significantly reduced (all P<0.05) and the membrane structure of C33A cells were destroyed; moreover, the expressions of p-JAK2, p-STAT3 and Bcl-2 were significantly decreased while the expressions of Bax and caspase-3 were significantly increased (all P<0.05). Compared with the low-dose group, the effects of high-dose salidroside and AG490 on the proliferation, invasion, apoptosis and related protein expressions in C33A cells were more significant (all P<0.05), but there was no difference between the high-dose group and the AG490 group. Conclusion: Salidroside can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of C33A cells and promote cell apoptosis. Its mechanism may be related to inhibition of JAK2/ STAT3 signaling pathway.

Objective: To observe the effect of Tai Chi combined with conventional western medicine therapy for elderly patients with type2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: According to randomized controlled design, 108 patients were divided into two groups ,with 54 in each group. Patients in control group were treated with conventional western medicine therapy and regular walk (three times per week), while the patients in the observation group were treated with conventional western medicine therapy and Tai Chi (three times per week), both groups were treated for 12 weeks. Before and after treatments, diabetes symptoms scale was used to assess disease conditions, FPG and HbA1c were detected separately by methods of HK (hexokinase) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Diabetes mellitus Specific Quality of Life scale (DSQL) were used to assess the quality of life, Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale (SES6G) was used to assess patients’ self-management ability, and Geriatric Depression Scale was used to assess patients' depression emotions. Results: After treatments, the clinical symptoms scores (1.79 ± 1.21 vs. 2.86 ± 1.66, t=-3.401), the DSQL scores (50.40 ± 10.88 vs. 56.00 ± 10.85, t=-2.156), the GDS scores (5.63 ± 0.71 vs. 6.08 ±0.91, t=-2.515) of observation group were significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.01 or P<0.05), and the SES6G scores (7.54 ± 0.59 vs. 6.89 ± 0.39, t=-5.987) of observation group were significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.01); after treatments, the D-value of FPG (-0.97 ± 1.54 mmol/L vs. -0.28 ± 1.74 mmol/L, t=-2.092) was significantly higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The Tai Chi combined with conventional western medicine therapy could alleviate clinical symptoms and negative emotions, improve disease management and quality of life, regulate blood glucose of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) is an important assessment method for examining clinical thinking and clinical skills of medical students. OSCE has been applied in the quarterly phase examination in our department. According to the characteristics of otolaryngology, three stations of common items and five stations for personalized tests were set in the assessment. According to the different training that residents received during their stay in the previous department, different contents were assessed in the station for personalized examination. During the OSCE, residents took turns entering into each examine station and teachers gave scores according to the marking criteria of different station. After the examinations, two-way assessment and feedback were conducted between students and teachers. Through the practice in standardized training of residents in recent years, we found that OSCE was more comprehensive and flexible than others, which gained good application effects.
