Boron neutron capture therapy is a method based on 10B (n,α) 7Li reaction to achieve malignancy treatment. Upon entry into the human body, the 10B compound carrier can selectively enriched in tumor cells and reacts with external irradiation neutrons. Because 7Li (4 μm) and α particles (7 μm) will be deposited in a cell magnitude (10 μm), the purpose of directional local killing of tumor cells and causing less harm to normal tissue can be achieved successfully. So far, boron neutron capture therapy has been clinically studied in a variety of malignant diseases, including glioblastoma multiforme, meningeoma, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, etc. In this article, the clinical research progress of boron neutron capture treatment in head and neck carcinomas was mainly introduced.

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2024;33(2):168-172
Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is an emerging treatment modality. BNCT is performed by injecting patients with the boron containing drugs, which has strong affinity with cancer cells. After undergoing irradiation with neutrons, the boron containing drugs can yield alpha and lithium particles, which can kill tumor cells precisely. To date, clinical studies of BNCT have been conducted in a variety of tumors, including glioblastoma multiforme, meningioma, head and neck cancer, sarcoma, malignant skin tumor, malignant melanoma and recurrent cancers, etc. With continuous construction of BNCT treatment centers around the world, this new technology will be quickly and comprehensively spread. In this article, clinical research progress in the application of BNCT for glioma treatment was reviewed.

Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease.Previous studies have shown that children are vulnerable to monkeypox and are also at high risk for severe disease or complications. In order to improve pediatricians′ understanding of monkeypox and achieve early detection, early diagnosis, early treatment and early disposal, the committee composed of more than 40 experts in the related fields of infectious diseases, pediatrics, infection control and public health formulate this expert consensus, on the basis of the latest clinical management and infection prevention and control for monkeypox released by the World Health Organization (WHO), the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox (version 2022) issued by National Health Commission of the People′s Republic of China and other relevant documents.During the development of this consensus, multidisciplinary experts have repeatedly demonstrated the etiology, epidemiology, transmission, clinical manifestations, laboratory examinations, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment, discharge criteria, prevention, case management process and key points of prevention and control about monkeypox.

Since December 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2) infections have raged globally for more than 2 years.China has always adopted scientific and effective prevention and control measures to achieved some success. However, with the continuous variation of SARS-CoV-2 cases and imported cases from abroad, the prevention and control work has become more difficult and complex. With the variation of the mutant strain, the number of cases in children changed, and some new special symptoms and complications were found, which proposed a new topic for the prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children in China.Based on the third edition, the present consensus according to the characteristics of the new strain, expounded the etiology, pathology, pathogenesis, and according to the clinical characteristics and experience of children′s cases, and puts forward recommendations on the diagnostic criteria, laboratory examination, treatment, prevention and control of children′s cases for providing reference for further guidance of effective prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children in China.

Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2022;28(21):2907-2910
Objective:To explore the effect of demographic sociological data on the critical thinking of clinical research nurses, in order to provide reference for improving the level of clinical research. Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, a total of 110 clinical research nurses responsible for clinical research related work in three ClassⅢ Grade A hospitals in Zhengzhou City of Henan Province from January to June 2021 were selected as the research objects. Demographic Sociological Data Questionnaire and Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory-Chinese Version (CTDI-CV) were used to conduct surveys among nurses. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the effect of demographic sociological data on critical thinking of clinical research nurses. A total of 110 questionnaires were distributed, and 106 valid questionnaires were recovered. The effective recovery rate of the questionnaires was 96.36% (106/110) .Results:The total score of CTDI-CV of 106 nurses was (296.25±24.12) . The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that age, education, professional title and working years were the influencing factors of the level of critical thinking of clinical research nurses ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The critical thinking ability of clinical research nurses is affected by age, professional title, educational background and working years. It is suggested to take effective measures to improve the critical thinking ability of nurses according to the actual situation, and then improve the clinical research level of nurses.

Objective:To understand the characteristics and diagnosis and treatment of brucellosis with joint pain as the first clinical manifestation, and summarize the clinical classification of brucellosis complicated with joint pain, so as to provide reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods:Cases of brucellosis with first symptom of joint pain diagnosed in the 940th Hospital of PLA Joint Logistic Support Force from January 2015 to January 2020 were selected. The main clinical features, laboratory examination, diagnosis and treatment were analyzed. Results:A total of 82 patients with joint pain of the first symptom were selected, including 61 males and 21 females. Joint pain was the main complaint of the patients, 63.4% (52/82) of the patients visited spine surgery department, 17.1% (14/82) visited minimally invasive orthopedics department, 12.2% (10/82) visited rheumatic immunology department, and 7.3% (6/82) visited traditional Chinese medicine department. Brucellosis patients with cervical lesions accounted for 22.0% (18/82), combined with lumbar lesions accounted for 51.2% (42/82). The patients with elevated C-reactive protein accounted for 68.3% (56/82), abnormal liver function accounted for 52.4% (43/82), anti "O" positive accounted for 3.7% (3/82), abnormal autoantibodies accounted for 6.1% (5/82), and human leukocyte antigen-B27 (HLA-B27) positive accounted for 12.2% (10/82). Four patients with HLA-B27 positive had sacroiliac arthritis. All patients were cured after standard and full course therapy. Conclusion:Joint pain may be the first symptom of brucellosis, and the lumbar spine and cervical spine are the most vulnerable parts.

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2021;56(4):251-256
Objective:To explore genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis strategies for women who have androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS) family history or pregnancy history of AIS proband. Methods:Three families of complete AIS (CAIS) were retrospectively reported and summarized. The subsequent pregnancies and processes of prenatal diagnosis were followed up.Results:Among three CAIS families, one family had androgen receptors (AR) gene mutation diagnosis; the other two families were diagnosed clinically without gene diagnosis. All three mothers of CAIS probands were in pregnant again when they sought counseling, with gestational weeks between 7-13 weeks. They underwent chorionic villi sampling or amniocentesis in their second trimester (at 12, 16, 17 weeks respectively). Chromosome gender of all three fetuses were 46,XY, which was inconsistent with the ultrasonographic phenotype of external genitalia. All patients chose selective abortion in their second trimester. The external genitalia of all aborted fetuses were female phenotype, which supported the diagnosis of CAIS.Conclusion:Genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis should be provided to high-risk patients with family history of AIS or proband pregnancy history, so as to achieve the goal of good childbearing and sound childrearing.
