Background Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are a major occupational health concern, particularly among workers exposed to adverse ergonomic conditions. Manganese production involves heavy physical demands, yet research on WMSDs among manganese workers remains limited. Objective To investigate the prevalence and influencing factors of WMSDs among manganese workers in a manganese enterprise in Guangxi. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted from May to June 2024 on workers at a manganese factory in Guangxi. The Chinese Musculoskeletal Disorders Questionnaire was used to collect information on demographic characteristics, distribution of musculoskeletal symptoms, and work-related exposures. χ² test was applied to compare differences in positive WMSDs rates across groups, and logistic regression analysis was performed to identify associated factors. Results A total of 1476 workers were enrolled in the study after pre-determined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The overall prevalence of WMSDs was 34.15%. The most commonly affected body regions were the lower back (17.28%), neck (16.67%), and shoulders (13.82%). The results of logistic regression analysis indicated that female, older age, and education level of college or above were associated with a higher risk of WMSDs (P<0.05). Awkward working postures were significantly associated with WMSDs in corresponding body regions; in particular, awkward postures of the neck, upper limbs, trunk, and lower limbs were related to an increased risk of WMSDs in multiple body sites (P<0.05). In addition, poor lighting conditions, high workplace temperature, frequent or sustained arm support during work, and high job demands were associated with an increased risk of overall or site-specific WMSDs (P<0.05). Conclusion The high prevalence of WMSDs among manganese workers is closely associated with demographic characteristics, working postures, and work environment and organizational factors. Targeted ergonomic interventions focusing on high-risk body regions and key ergonomic exposures are warranted to reduce the risk of WMSDs among manganese workers.

Objective:To investigate the relationship between three-dimensional choroidal vascularity index (3D CVI) and the severity of diabetic retinopathy (DR) using swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS-OCTA).Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.A total of 139 eyes of 139 subjects, including 115 eyes with diabetes mellitus and 24 control eyes without diabetes, were enrolled in the Second People's Hospital of Hefei from March to December 2022.DR was graded according to the standard seven-field ETDRS color fundus photographs.Eyes with diabetes mellitus were divided into non-DR (NDR) group (34 eyes), non-proliferative DR (NPDR) group (42 eyes), NPDR with diabetic macular edema (DME) group (21 eyes) and PDR group (18 eyes).3D CVI in central fovea 1 mm (C1) and parafoveal 3 mm (C3), choroidal vascular volume (CVV), and choroidal thickness were measured by SS-OCTA in the area of 3 mm×3 mm centered on the fovea using the built-in automated quantification software.Parafoveal region was divided into superior, inferior, temporal and nasal quadrants, and 3D CVI of the different quadrants was detected.3D CVI was defined as the ratio of CVV to total choroidal volume.The monocular data were analyzed to compare 3D CVI among the five groups, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to evaluate the influencing factors.This study adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki.The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Second People's Hospital of Hefei, Hefei Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University (No.2022064).All subjects were aware of the study purpose and agreed to participate the study.Results:There were significant differences in 3D CVI-C1 and 3D CVI-C3 among all groups ( F=3.103, 3.036, both at P<0.05).In PDR group, 3D CVI-C1 was lower than in non-DR group, and 3D CVI-C3 was lower than in control group and non-DR group, with statistically significant differences (all at P<0.05).There were significant differences in 3D CVI in the inferior and nasal quadrants among all groups ( F=2.714, 4.020, both at P<0.05).In PDR group, 3D CVI in the inferior quadrant was lower than that in non-DR group, and 3D CVI in nasal quadrant in PDR group was lower than that in control group, non-DR group, NPDR group and NPDR with DME group, with statistically significant differences (all at P<0.05).Multiple linear regression showed that after controlling for age, course of disease and glycosylated hemoglobin, the severity of DR was the influencing factor of 3D CVI in fovea and parafovea.PDR eyes had the greatest impact on 3D CVI in fovea and parafovea.Compared with non-DR eyes, there was a -0.019(95% CI: -0.031--0.007, P=0.003) decrease in central foveal 3D CVI and a -0.019(95% CI: -0.030--0.008, P=0.001) decrease in parafoveal 3D CVI in PDR eyes, followed by a 0.014(95% CI: -0.027-0.000, P=0.044) decrease in central foveal 3D CVI in NPDR with DME eyes. Conclusions:Macular foveal 3D CVI correlates with DR severity, and a decrease in 3D CVI of large vessels in the macular choroid may be a sensitive indicator of DR exacerbation.

Objective To observe the feasibility of inducible costimulatory(ICOS)target in mice adjuvant-induced arthritis(AIA)models.Methods Twenty BALB/c mice were injected with equal dose of complete Freund's adjuvant(AIA group,n=10)or phosphate buffered saline(control group,n=10)into the right back paws.The second day after injection,ICOS-IRD680 mAb probes were injected in AIA group,while IgG-IRD680 mAb probes were injected in control group through tail vein,respectively.The fluorescent intensity ratio of the right and left paw based on near-infrared fluorescence imaging 24 and 48 h later were compared between groups.The total RNA of mice were extracted for transcriptome sequencing,and differentially expressed genes(DEG)were screened and analyzed.Primary T cells were extracted from the spleen of mice in control group,then magnetic negative T cells were sorted.Activated T cells were stimulated and induced using phoboxylate/ionomycin,the expression level of ICOS protein on the surface of activated T cells were detected,and the safety of probe was also evaluated.Results The expression of ICOS gene in AIA group was significantly up-regulated,and the proportion of T cells was higher than that in control group.ICOS tented to distribute in FoxP3+ regulatory T cells,CD8+T cells and CD4+T cells.The purity of CD3+T cells before and after magnetic negative T cells was 65.31％ and 90.14％,respectively.The proportion of CD4+T cells before and after activated was 7.14％ and 31.20％,respectively,and the mean fluorescent intensity of ICOS protein in activated CD4+T cells(586±25)was significantly higher than that in non-activated CD4+T cells(161±31)(t=25.390,P＜0.001).Twenty-four and 48 h after probe injection,the fluorescent intensity ratio of the right paw/left paw in AIA group was higher than that in control group(t=34.600,P＜0.001;t=23.380,P＜0.001).Compared with control group,no significant pathological change of heart,liver nor kidney tissues of mice in AIA group was detected,while no significant difference of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase,glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase nor creatinine was found between groups(all P＞0.05).Conclusion ICOS target was safe and feasible for mice AIA models.

【Objective:】 To explore the network structure characteristics and core items of meaning in life and coping styles among college students, and provide a basis for understanding their relationships and related interventions. 【Methods:】 A survey was conducted among college students using the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire and Meaning in Life Questionnaire . The network analysis method was used to construct a network of college students’ meaning in life and coping styles, and R software was used for statistical analysis and visualization. 【Results:】 In the network of college students’ meaning in life and coping styles, "believing that time will change the status quo, and the only thing to do is to wait" and "trying to forget the whole thing" had the closest connection. "Learning from others to handle similar difficult situations" had the highest expected impact. "Seeking the meaning in life" and "pursuing hobbies and actively participating in cultural and sports activities" had the highest bridge expected influence. The average predictability value of all nodes was 0.775. 【Conclusions:】 Interventions aimed at "learning from others to handle similar difficult situations", "changing one’s own ideas and rediscovering what is important in life" and "changing some of the original practices or problems" may maximize the coping effect of college students. "Seeking the meaning in life" can furthest influence the coping styles, and "pursuing hobbies and actively participating in cultural and sports activities" can maximize the improvement of meaning in life.

【Objective】 To report the early clinical effects and surgical complications of endoscopic spinal fusion technology （Endo-LIF） in the treatment of degenerative lumbar disease. 【Methods】 The clinical data of 31 patients with degenerative lumbar spine disease treated with Endo-LIF from June 2019 to May 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. All the 31 patients underwent endoscopic spinal fusion therapy. We recorded the operation time， hospital stay duration， postoperative complications， visual analogue scale for pain （VAS）， oswestry dysfunction Index （ODI） and low back pain in the Chinese Orthopaedic Association Spine Group Surgery scoring standards before operation， immediately after operation， and the last follow-up to evaluate clinical efficacy. 【Results】 The operation time of the 31 patients was （134.80±34.98） min， the intraoperative blood loss was （100.13±18.49） mL， the hospital stay was （6.65±0.17） days， and the follow-up time was 6 to 18 （14±2.3） months. One patient had hematoma compression after surgery； he had incision made immediately to clear the hematoma and healed after bed rest. Two patients developed spinal hypertension and healed after bed rest. All the patients had no symptoms of nerve injury after operation， and the clinical symptoms were significantly relieved. We compared the perioperative VAS score and ODI index of all the patients， which were lower immediately after operation and at the last follow-up than those before the operation （P<0.05）， and the difference was statistically significant. 【Conclusion】 Endo-LIF technology has good short-term clinical effects and the advantages of milder trauma， less blood loss， and quick recovery after surgery. It is a safe and minimally invasive lumbar fusion surgery.

[Abstract] Objective: To develop a new type of CD7 chimeric antigen receptor modified T cell (CD7-CAR-T) for the treatment of CD7 positive acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and to observe its killing effect on CD7 positive AML cells. Methods: The CD7-CAR lentiviral vector was constructed based on the CD7 Nanobody sequence and costimulatory domain sequence of CD28 and 4-1BB. The lentiviral particles were packaged and used to co-transfect human T cells with protein expression blocker (PEBL), so as to prepare CD7- CAR-T cells. Real time cellular analysis (RTCA) was used to monitor the cytotoxicity of CD7-CAR-T cells on CD7 overexpressed 293T cells. Flow cytometry assay was used to detect the effect of CD7-CAR-T cells on proliferation and cytokine secretion of AML cells with high, medium and low CD7 expressions (KG-1, HEL and Kasumi-1 cells, respectively). Results: CD7-CAR-T cell was successfully constructed and its surface expression of CD7 was successfully blocked. Compared with T cells, CD7-CAR-T cells could significantly inhibit the proliferation of CD7-293T cells and promote the release of TNF, Granzyme B and INF-γ; in addition, CD7-CAR-T cells also significantly promoted the apoptosis (t=147.1, P<0.01; t=23.57, P<0.01) and cytokine release (P<0.05 or P<0.01) in CD7 positive KG-1 and HEL cells, but had little effect on Kasumi-1 cells that only expressed minimal CD7 antigen (t=0.7058, P>0.05). Conclusion: CD7-CAR-T cells can specifically kill CD7-positive AML cells in vitro.

Objective: To explore the effect of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment of individualized exercise program on lung function, exercise ability, quality of life and biochemical indexes of coal workers’ pneumoconiosis patients, and to provide scientific and effective methods for rehabilitation treatment of coal workers' pneumoconiosis. Methods: In Huaibei Coal Mine Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Hospital, the data of pneumoconiosis patients treated by pneumoconiosis department in the hospital were collected and sorted out. 80 patients were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Using a random number table, they were randomly divided into two groups with 40 cases in each group. The data investigated in this study include the results before and after treatment. Pulmonary function index, BMI index, six-minute walking distance (6MWD) , quality of life questionnaire (SF-36) , hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS) , st George's breathing questionnaire (sgrq) , c-reactive protein (CRP) and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂) were used to evaluate and compare the efficacy of the two groups. Results: The lung function indexes of the test group were significantly higher than those of the control group after treatment (P<0.05) , including forced vital capacity, forced vital capacity in the first second, maximum expiratory flow, expiratory flow when vital capacity was 75% and expiratory flow when vital capacity was 25%. The forced vital capacity, the first-second forced vital capacity and the maximum expiratory flow of the patients in the test group were higher after treatment than before (P<0.05) . The six-minute walking distance of the test group was greater than that of the control group after treatment (P<0.05) . After treatment, the scores of st George’s breathing questionnaire in the test group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05) . The scores of quality of life questionnaire in the test group were higher than those in the control group after treatment (P<0.05) . Conclusion The comprehensive rehabilitation treatment of individualized exercise program improved the endurance and exercise ability of pneumoconiosis patients, improved the respiratory status and quality of life of pneumoconiosis patients in Huaibei Coal Mine, improved the lung function of pneumoconiosis patients, and improved the forced vital capacity of patients, but the small airway function has not been significantly improved.

Objective To investigate the status and the influencing factors of thyroid volume of children aged 8-10 years in Hefei City.Methods In 2016,according to the requirements of "National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Surveillance Plan (the 2016 Edition)",the method of multistage stratified sampling was used in 9 counties (cities,districts) of Hefei.Five primary schools were randomly selected from each county (city,district),with one in each direction (the east,west,south,north and center),then 40 children aged 8-10 years (male ∶ female =1 ∶ 1,with similar age distribution) were randomly chosen in each primary school.The thyroid volume,height and weight were measured.In addition,a questionnaire with the items including personality,learning pressure,dietary habits,related disease history and contact history was designed and used to collect the data of the subjects.Results Totally 1 800 children aged 8-10 years were selected from 45 primary schools in 9 counties (cities,districts).The mean thyroid volume was (3.009 ± 1.197) ml.Totally 71 people were found with thyroid enlargement and the goiter rate was 3.9％,which was in the range described in the elimination iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) standard (＜ 5％).Univariate analysis showed that for children in different age groups,seafood consumption frequency,radiological examination,height,and body mass,the thyroid volumes were significantly different (P＜ 0.05);Multivariate linear regression showed that body weight and height were main factors affecting the thyroid volume of children aged 8-10 years in Hefei City,the standard partial regression coefficient are 0.288 and 0.140,respectively.Conclusions The thyroid volume of the 8-10 years old children is generally in the normal range in Hefei.Goiter rate is lower than the standard for elimination of iodine deficiency The findings have showed that not only age,but also height,body mass and other factors should be considered while evaluating the influencing factors of the thyroid volume of school-aged children.
