1.Patent technology analysis of platelet-rich plasma preparation devices

BACKGROUND:Platelet-rich plasma is an important material for tissue repair and is widely used in orthopedics,wound repair,plastic surgery and other fields.The device for preparing platelet-rich plasma has become a hot spot in the field of patent applications.OBJECTIVE:To analyze the trend of patent applications for platelet-rich plasma separation devices at home and abroad.METHODS:Using the patent retrieval system of China National Intellectual Property Administration,Patsnap and Himpat patent databases,we searched the patent literature of platelet-rich plasma separation devices,and analyzed the patent application trend of platelet-rich plasma separation devices from the aspects of patent application volume,licensing rate,technical theme,typical applicant patent layout,etc.The patent retrieval system of China National Intellectual Property Administration was developed by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and includes patent data from 103 countries,regions and organizations.The Patsnap patent database was developed by PatSnap,Singapore and has 120 million patent data from more than 100 countries,providing multi-language translation and multi-language search.The Himpat patent database was developed by Himpat,China and includes more than 160 million patents from 123 countries/organizations/regions around the world since 1800,and is translated into high-fidelity Chinese and English versions,and is updated twice a week.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The patent application for platelet-rich plasma separation devices in China started about 10 years later than abroad,and the number of patent applications in China has sharply increased since 2017.The trend of patent applications abroad is relatively stable.Most domestic and foreign patent applications are in the stage of authorization and maintenance,with enterprises being the main applicants.The classification of platelet-rich plasma devices on the market is very confusing.In this study,they are divided into nine subcategories based on device structure.Chinese patent applications mainly focus on separation cylinder devices,while foreign applications focus on automated separation devices.China should be market-oriented and technology oriented,develop innovative platelet-rich plasma devices,lay out global patent layouts,and promote the development of China's medical device industry.

3.Study on cognitive ability and mental health status of the empty-nest elders in urban area of Beijing

Objective To investigate the cognitive ability and mental health status of the empty-nest elderly people lived in urban area of Beijing.Methods We recruited subjects from 8 communities in Beijing.1067 people were investigated,including 839 empty-nest elderly subjects and 228 not empty-nest elderly subjects.We used demography questionnaire and mental health scale to assess the cognitive ability and mental health of these elders.Results The subjects in the empty-nest elderly having high education,well-condition marriage and being male were more than those in the other group (T or x2=10.769,2.009,159.523,P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the global cognition between the two groups (F=5.541,P>0.05).Among language ability,working memory,attention and executive function,the differences between these two groups were significant (F=7.203,4.436,8.806,P<0.05).Compared with normal elderly subjects,empty-nest elderly subjects had higher scores in face scale and GDS scale (F=5.541,5.578,P<0.05).Conclusion There are remarkable cognitive ability and mental health differences between empty-nest and not empty-nest elders.
4.Expression of GAP-43, MBP by Electrical Stimulation in Different Sites of Spinal Cord Injured Rats after Human Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells Transplantation

Objective To explore the application values of effect on the expression of growth associated protein-43 (GAP-43) and myelin basic protein(MBP) by electrical stimulation in different sites of spinal cord injured rats after the human umbilical cord blood stem cells transplantation. Methods In this study the subjects adopted are clean grade rats, which were performed with Allen's method by NYU blow device, resulting in SCI models. 192 rats successfully modeled were divided into groups according to the random table. Group A received electric stimulation in the scalp surface projection area of motor area: Group A1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group A2 only received electric stimulation; Group B received local electric stimulation at damaged site: Group B1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group B2 only received electric stimulation; Group C received electric stimulation in the scalp surface projection area of motor area and local electric stimulation at damaged site: Group C1 received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, while Group C2 only received electric stimulation; Group D are just the SCI models: Group D1 received transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell without electric stimulation, while Group D2 neither received cell transplantation nor electric stimulation. The sacrifice time of rats was the 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week, 8th week, and 12th week after operation respectively. The distribution of the remained or regenerative neurons at damaged areas by corticospinal tract anterograde tracer with Biotinylated dextran amine (BDA), and we also detected the content changes of GAP-43, MBP and the MAB1281 specific expression of the human nucleus of human umbilical cord blood stem cells. Results 1). NYU is a blow device for Allen's rat model of SCI, which could quantify the crash potential energy, and gain a stable and repeated model with high successful rate. 2). At each time site in this study, the factors that benefit for the neurofunction restoration after electric stimulation in the microenvironment into which the stem cells have been transplanted are GAP-43 and MBP, and they are all positive; the effects of the combination of head acupuncture with body acupuncture are much better than single head acupuncture or body acupuncture. 3). At each time site in this study, the factors that benefit for the neurofunction restoration after injury are GAP-43 and MBP, and the effects of them are all positive, which do not depend on whether the stem cell transplantation has been done. Conclusion 1). After the stem cell transplantation have been done, the changes of the microenvironment develops in the direction of benefiting for restoring neurofunction, which means that stem cell transplantation can promote the restoration of neurofunction and the stem cell transplantation is successful in this study. 2). Electric stimulation is significantly positive for the factors (GAP-43, MBP) which benefit for restoring neurofunction in the microenvironment after stem cell transplantation, the effects of the combination of head acupuncture with body acupuncture is better than single head acupuncture or body acupuncture. The significantly positive effects of the electric stimulation on microenvironment after injuries are independent, which do not depend on whether the stem cell transplantation has been done. Electric stimulation and stem cell transplantation are significantly synergistic at the microenvironment.
5.Effect of Electrical Stimulation on Expression of Growth Associated Protein-43, basic Fibroblast Growth Factor, Insulin-like Growth Factor in Spinal Cord Injured Rats after Human Umbilical Cord Blood Stem Cells Transplantation

Objective To explore the effects of electrical stimulation in different acupoints on the expression of growth associated protein-43 (GAP-43), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), insulin-like growth factor (IGF) in spinal cord injured rats after the human umbilical cord blood stem cells transplantation.Methods 192 SD rats were injured at T10-11 level with NYU, and divided randomly into groups: Group A received electric stimulation in the scalp of motor area (A1 group received electric stimulation and transplantation of umbilical cord blood stem cell, the rats of A2 group only received electric stimulation); group B received local electric stimulation at damaged site (B1 with electric stimulation and transplantation, B2 only with electric stimulation); group C received electric stimulation in the scalp of motor area and at damaged site (C1 with electric stimulation and transplantation, C2 only with electric stimulation); D1 received transplantation without electric stimulation, D2 neither with transplantation nor electric stimulation. The expression of GAP-43, bFGF and IGF were detected 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 12 weeks after operation. Results Electric stimulation increased the expression of GAP-43, bFGF, IGF, stimulating scalp and body were more than stimulated scalp or body alone, combined with the stem cells transplantation were more than no transplantation. Conclusion Both electric stimulation and stem cells transplantation can improve the microenvironment for neural recovery synergistically. Stimulating scalp and body is more effective than alone.
6.Clinical Effects of Urokinase in Combination with Heparin Sodium in 50 Patients Suffer from Acute Cerebral Infarction

Purpose To assess the clinical efficacy and safety of acute cerebral progressive infarction cured with urokinase in combination with heparin sodium. Methods There were 50 cases in the control group and treated group. The treated group was treated with urokinase 300,000 units/day intravenous for 1~2 days, heparin sodium 12,500 units/day intravenous for 5 days, the control group was treated with heparin sodium 12,500 units/day intravenous for 5 days. All patients were treated within 5 days of onset and the deterioration of neurological deficits within 10 hours. The hypodensity was showed by brain CT scan without hemorrhage, MDS score was given before and after cure 30 days for comparison. Results The neurological deficits improvement in the treated group was more efficient than the control group and no hemorrhage was found. Conclusion Middle dose urokinase infusion in combination with heparin sodium intravenous in treatment of acute cerebral progressive infarction was safe and effective and showed obviously clinical valuable.
