ObjectiveTo characterize the quality differences among different germplasm and introduced varieties of Bupleurum scorzonerifolium roots（BSR）， and explore the underlying molecular mechanisms， providing a basis for high-quality production and quality control. MethodsWild BSR from Yulin（YLW） served as the quality reference， we conducted comparative analysis among YLW， locally domesticated wild germplasm in Yulin（YLC3）， Daqing germplasm introduced and cultivated in Yulin（YLDQC3）， and locally cultivated germplasm in Daqing（DQC3）. A combination of traditional pharmacognostic methods and modern multi-omics analyses was employed， including macroscopic traits（appearance， odor）， microscopic features（proportions of cork， phloem， xylem）， cell wall component contents（hemicellulose， cellulose， lignin）， carbohydrate contents（starch， water-soluble polysaccharides）， marker compound contents（ethanol-soluble extracts， total saponins， liposoluble extracts， and saikosaponins A， B₂， C， D）， metabolomics， and transcriptomics， in order to systematically characterize quality differences and investigate molecular mechanisms among these samples. ResultsMacroscopically， Yulin-produced BSR（YLW， YLC3， YLDQC3） exhibited significantly greater weight， length， and upper and middle diameters than Daqing-produced BSR（DQC3）. Odor-wise， YLW and YLC3 had a a fragrance taste， YLDQC3 had a rancid oil odor， and DQC3 had a sweet and fragrant taste. Microscopically， Yulin germplasm（YLW， YLC3） and Daqing germplasm（YLDQC3， DQC3） shared similar structural features， respectively. However， Yulin germplasm showed significantly higher proportions of cork and phloem， as well as stronger xylem vessel staining intensity compared to Daqing germplasm. Regarding various component contents， Yulin germplasm contained significantly higher levels of ethanol-soluble extracts， total saponins， and saikosaponins A， B₂， C， D， while Daqing germplasm had significantly higher levels of hemicellulose， starch， and liposoluble extracts. After introduction to Yulin， the Daqing germplasm（YLDQC3） showed increased starch， water-soluble polysaccharides and liposoluble extracts contents， decreased cell wall component content， but no significant difference in other component contents. Metabolomics revealed that saponins and terpenes accumulated significantly in Yulin germplasm， while alcohols and aldehydes accumulated predominantly in Daqing germplasm. Transcriptomics indicated similar gene expression patterns within the same germplasm but specificity between different germplasms. Integrative metabolomic-transcriptomic analysis identified 145 potential key genes associated with the saikosaponin biosynthesis pathway， including one acetyl-coenzyme A（CoA） acetyltransferase gene（ACAT）， one 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A synthase gene（HMGS）， two hydroxymethylglutaryl-CoA（HMG-CoA） reductase genes（HMG）， one phosphomevalonate kinase gene（PMK）， one 1-deoxy-D-xylose-5-phosphate synthase gene（CLA）， one hydroxymethylbuten-1-aldol synthase gene（HDR）， two farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase genes（FPPS）， one squalene synthase gene（SQS）， one β-amyrin synthase gene（BAS）， 102 cytochrome P450（CYP450） gene family members， and 32 uridine diphosphate-glucuronosyltransferase（UGT） gene family members. ConclusionAmong the three cultivated types， YLC3 most closely resembles YLW in appearance， microscopic features， contents of major bioactive constituents， metabolomic and transcriptomic profiles. Yulin germplasm exhibits superior saponin synthesis capability compared to Daqing germplasm， and Yulin region is more suitable for the growth of B. scorzonerifolium. Based on these findings， it is recommended that artificial cultivation in northern Shaanxi and similar regions utilize the local Yulin germplasm source cultivated for at least three years.

This article systematically reviews and examines the historical evolution of Bambusae Succus as a medicinal material， covering aspects such as nomenclature， origin， geographical distribution， harvesting and processing methods， quality assessment， therapeutic effects and indications， by consulting ancient herbal texts， medical compendia， and modern literature. The aim is to provide a reference for the development and utilization of famous classical formulas containing this herb. Research indicated that Bambusae Succus was first documented in the Shennong Bencaojing during the Han dynasty， with Zhuli being the standard name used throughout history， alongside aliases like Zhuzhi， Zhuyou and Huoquan. Historically， the primary source of Bambusae Succus has been Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis（Danzhu）， although other species such as Pleioblastus amarus and Bambusa emeiensis have also been used medicinally. Ancient records predominantly noted its origin in Yizhou（present-day Chengdu and surrounding areas in Sichuan） and the Wuling region（between present-day Hunan， Guangdong， Guangxi and Jiangxi provinces）， while contemporary sources are mainly from regions south of the Yangtze River and southwestern China. Traditionally， Bambusae Succus was harvested from bamboo that had grown for exactly one year， today， it can be collected year-round without strict age requirements. Ancient preparation methods included direct fire roasting or dry distillation， whereas modern industrial production employs dry distillation， reflux extraction， and percolation. In terms of quality evaluation， ancient texts considered a sweet taste to be superior， while today， clarity and transparency are prioritized. Historically， Bambusae Succus was characterized as sweet and cold nature， targeting the lung and stomach meridians， with uses evolving from clearing heat and resolving phlegm to nourishing Yin， moistening dryness， and relaxing tendons and unblocking meridians. Modern descriptions classify it as sweet， bitter， and cold in nature， affecting the heart， liver， and lung meridians， with functions including clearing heat， resolving phlegm， and facilitating orifices. It is indicated for conditions such as stroke with phlegm confusion， lung heat with phlegm congestion， convulsions， epilepsy， excessive phlegm in febrile diseases， high fever with thirst， irritability during pregnancy， and tetanus， with more clearly defined applications. Based on the results of the research， it is recommended that when developing and utilizing famous classical formulas containing Bambusae Succus， the one-year-old Phyllostachys nigra var. Henonis， which has been highly praised throughout history， should be selected as the source material. Industrial production should adopt the dry distillation method. Furthermore， in-depth research should be conducted on the modern technological characterization of the traditional quality control indicator of sweet taste， and reasonable modern quality control standards should be established.

However， while the roots were traditionally used medicinally， the whole plant is now more commonly used in modern practice. In addition， the whole plants of Thlaspi arvense from the Cruciferae family and Sonchus brachyotus from the Compositae family are commonly used as regional substitutes for Baijiang. According to ancient records， Patriniae Herba was primarily found in Jiangxia（present-day eastern Hubei province） and Jiangdong（the region south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River）， but modern literature shows that it is distributed throughout the country without a distinct geographical origin. In ancient times， the roots were harvested in August and sun-dried， today， the whole plant is typically dug up in summer or autumn and sun-dried. In recent times， the quality has been summarized as being best when the roots are long， the leaves are abundant and green， and the aroma is strong. Regarding the processing， ancient methods often involved baking（drying over fire）， while modern methods typically involve removing impurities， washing， and then cutting and drying the segments. The effects of Patriniae Herba are to clear heat and detoxify， eliminate blood stasis and drain pus. ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnostic value of coagulation function indicators and proteinuria in preeclampsia and its severity assessment. MethodsA total of 239 pregnant women who visited from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as research subjects. They were divided into healthy control group （n=50）， non-gestational hypertension group （n=39）， and gestational hypertension group （n=150） based on clinical diagnosis. The gestational hypertension group was further subdivided into three subgroups： simple hypertension group （n=50）， mild preeclampsia group （n=50）， and severe preeclampsia group （n=50）. The study compared differences in plasma protein S （PS）， plasma protein C （PC）， fibrin degradation products （FDP）， fibrin monomer （FM）， and proteinuria levels among different groups. The correlation between proteinuria and coagulation function indicators in patients with gestational hypertension was analyzed， and ROC curves were used to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of coagulation indicators and proteinuria for gestational hypertension and different stages of preeclampsia. ResultsThe gestational hypertension group showed lower PS and PC values compared to the non-gestational hypertension group and healthy control group， while FDP， FM values， and proteinuria levels were higher than those in the non-gestational hypertension group and healthy control group （P<0.05）. Significant differences in coagulation indicators and proteinuria levels were observed among pregnant women with different degrees of gestational hypertension （P<0.05）. The AUC values for diagnosing gestational hypertension using PS， PC，FDP， FM， and proteinuria were 0.928， 0.957， 0.968， 0.948， and 0.932 respectively （P<0.000 1）. For diagnosing simple hypertension and mild preeclampsia， the AUC values were 0.875， 0.777， 0.830， 0.679， and 0.936 respectively （P<0.01）. For diagnosing mild and severe preeclampsia， the AUC values were 0.901， 0.776， 0.780， 0.807， and 0.848 respectively （P<0.000 1）. ConclusionCoagulation function indicators and proteinuria show significant differences between healthy pregnant women and those with gestational hypertension. PS， PC， FDP， FM， and proteinuria levels vary among pregnant women with different stages of preeclampsia. The aforementioned indicators exhibit certain diagnostic efficacy for gestational hypertension and preeclampsia.

Background Neck-related work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are a major type of musculoskeletal disorders with a relatively high proportion. Shanghai has a large number of occupational populations; however, the occurrence of WMSDs at neck among the occupational populations across industries in this city has not been reported, and needs to be addressed. Objective To understand the occurrence of neck-related WMSDs and their influencing factors among occupational populations in 8 industries in Shanghai, and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of WMSDs in this population. Methods From February 2024 to February 2025, a cross-sectional survey employed stratified cluster sampling to select 7829 employed workers from 48 enterprises across 8 industries in Shanghai. The study investigated the occurrence of neck-related WMSDs among the participants over the preceding 12 months. Logistic regression analysis was employed to examine the relationships between WMSDs and various occupational factors. Results A total of 7770 questionnaires were collected, yielding an effective response rate of 99.2%. Overall, the positive rate of neck-related WMSDs among the participants was 11.89% (924/7770). Among different industries, the environmental sanitation industry (19.48%), pharmaceutical manufacturing industry (14.57%), and cigarette manufacturing industry (13.66%) had higher prevalence of neck-related WMSDs. Univariate analysis showed that the risk of neck-related WMSDs was higher in the following groups: those with a job tenure ≥5 years in the current position (OR=1.50–1.70), females (OR=1.77), those with higher education levels (master’s degree or above, OR=2.27), and those with worse self-rated health (very poor health, OR=4.38) (P＜0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified the following independent risk factors for neck WMSDs: environmental sanitation industry (OR=7.30, 95%CI: 4.72, 11.87), higher educational attainment (master’s degree or above: OR=2.16, 95%CI: 1.36, 3.35), worse self-rated health status (very poor: OR=1.95, 95%CI: 1.31, 2.85), work performed in a single workshop (OR=1.36, 95%CI: 1.13, 1.64), understaffing (OR=1.46, 95%CI: 1.25, 1.70), slight neck forward flexion (OR=1.64, 95%CI: 1.32, 2.06), severe neck forward flexion (OR=2.55, 95%CI: 1.97, 3.30), and maintaining a fixed neck posture for a prolonged period (OR=2.28, 95%CI: 1.93, 2.70). Conversely, work rotation (OR=0.75, 95%CI: 0.65, 0.87), adequate rest (OR=0.70, 95%CI: 0.60, 0.82), and severe back flexion (OR=0.63, 95%CI: 0.46, 0.85) were protective factors against neck-related WMSDs. For the nomogram, the area under the curve (AUC)=0.75 (95%CI: 0.74, 0.77), Hosmer-Lemeshow test P=0.764, and Brier score=0.094, indicating that the model had good discrimination and calibration. Conclusion Among the occupational populations in Shanghai, the environmental sanitation industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, and cigarette manufacturing industry are identified as high-risk industries for neck-related WMSDs. Industry affiliation, educational level, work organization patterns, and awkward neck working postures are confirmed as the core influencing factors for the development of neck-related WMSDs. Targeted and comprehensive intervention measures should be formulated focusing on the aforementioned high-risk industries and key influencing factors. Multi-dimensional collaborative efforts, including ergonomic optimization, improvement of labor management systems, and strengthened health education and promotion, should be implemented to effectively control the risk of neck-related WMSDs in the occupational population, and to provide robust statistical evidence for the advancement of regional occupational health prevention and control strategies.

By consulting herbal texts， medical records， formula collections， and other relevant literature from various historical periods， as well as modern and contemporary research materials， different aspects of the historical evolution of Zijingpi， including its name， origin， scientific name verification， medicinal part， genuine producing areas， harvesting， processing， and preparation， properties and flavors， and primary indications， were systematically reviewed and verified， providing a basis for the development of famous classical formula preparations containing this medicinal material. According to the textual research， Cercis chinensis was first recorded under the name "Zijingmu" in the Rihuazi Bencao from the Five Dynasties period. From the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty， it was known by various names such as "Zijing"， "Zijingpi"， and "Zijingmupi". In modern and contemporary times， it has been officially named "Zijingpi"， with aliases such as "Mantiaohong"， "Zihuashu"， and "Qingminghua". Historically， the mainstream source of Zijingpi was the dried bark of Cercis chinensis Bunge， a species of the legume family. However， there were also instances of confusion with the Lythraceae plant Lagerstroemia indica L. The producing areas of Zijingpi have no special geographical limitation， and the plant is currently distributed throughout most parts of China. There were no special requirements for harvesting time in ancient times， while modern records indicate harvesting time in spring， summer， and autumn. Ancient processing methods were rarely recorded， with only mentions of stir-frying Zijingpi. Modern practice mostly uses the raw material medicinally. Modern standards prefer it to be "dry， long strips， and thick". The functions of Zijingpi， mainly to promote blood circulation， relieve strangury， and detoxify， have remained consistent from ancient to modern times. Based on the textual research findings， it is recommended that when developing and exploiting the famous classical formulas containing Zijingpi， the bark of C. chinensis should be selected as the source. The processing method should be chosen according to the formula requirements， and if no specific requirements are indicated， it is suggested to use the raw material medicinally.

OBJECTIVE To observe the isolation rates and drug resistance rates of Acinetobacter baumannii strains isolated from intensive care unit(ICU)patients in 8 consecutive years so as to provide bases for reasonable clinical application of antibiotics and control of infections.METHODS The isolation rates and specimens from which the A.baumannii and carbapenem-resistant A.baumannii(CRAB)strains were isolated from ICU patients of the First People's Hospital of Changzhou between 2017 and 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.The trends of the drug resistance rates were observed.RESULTS Totally 2078(18.03％)strains of A.baumannii were isolated from the ICU patients from 2017 to 2024,and there was no significant difference in the changing trend among the years(x2=-1.573,P=0.116).Among the A.baumannii strains that were isolated from 2017 to 2024,58.08％were isolated from sputum,and 24.25％from lavage fluid specimens;the percentage of sputum specimens showed a downward trend in the 8 years(x2=-8.257,P＜0.001),while the percentage of lavage fluid speci-mens showed an upward trend(x2=12.964,P＜0.001).The isolation rate of the CRAB strains was 91.48％in 2017,92.61％in 2018,92.56％in 2019,82.53％in 2020,52.44％in 2021,showing a down-ward trend,and it began to rise in 2022-2024,there was significant difference(x2=-2.277,P=0.012).The isolation rates of the CRAB strains from both sputum and lavage fluid specimens showed downward trends and then upward trends(all P＜0.05).The drug resistance rates of the A.baumannii strains to piperacillin and minocycline showed slow upward trends,while the drug resistance rates to gentamicin and tigecycline showed downward trends,and there were significant differences(P＜0.05).The drug resistance rates of the A.bau-mannii strains to imipenem and meropenem remained more than 90％.CONCLUSIONS Acinetobacter spp is the major pathogen causing the hospital-acquired infection.The isolation rate of CRAB strains shows a downward trend then a upward trend in recent two years.It is necessary for the hospital to standardize the submission of spu-tum specimens and increase the aseptic submission.The A.baumannii strains show high drug resistance rates to the commonly used antibiotics.Polymyxin B,tigecycline and minocycline are the major antibiotics for treatment of CRAB infection.

Objective:To explore the distribution of pathogenic bacteria causing postoperative infections in chil-dren undergoing surgery for Hirschsprung's disease(HD),and the clinical significance of serum triggering receptor ex-pressed on myeloid cells-1(sTREM-1)and high mobility group box 1(HMGB1).Methods:98 children with HD admit-ted from January 2021 to January 2025 were divided into infection group(n=42)and non-infection group(n=56)accord-ing to whether the children were complicated with infection after operation.Automatic bacterial identification system was used to detect the distribution of pathogenic bacteria in secretion samples from infected sites of HD children after operation.ELISA was used to measure serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1.ROC was used to explore the diagnostic value of serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1 for severe infection in children with HD.Results:A total of 49 strains of pathogenic bac-teria were isolated from 42 children with HD in infection group,of which 63.27%(31/49)were gram-negative bacteria,accounting for the highest proportion,followed by Gram positive bacteria at 30.61%(15/49)and fungi at 6.12%(3/49).Among them,Pseudomonas aeruginosa had the highest proportion of 24.49%(12/49)among Gram negative bacteria.there were 15 cases of mild infection(15 strains of pathogens),16 cases of moderate infection(17 strains of pathogens)and 11 cases of severe infection(17 strains of pathogens).With the aggravation of the infection degree of HD children,the distribution pattern of pathogenic bacteria changed,and gradually changed to mainly gram-negative bacteria infec-tion.Compared with non infected group,the levels of serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1 in infected group were higher(P<0.05).The levels of serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1 in children with severe HD infection are higher than those in children with mild and moderate HD infection(P<0.05).The AUC of the combined diagnosis of serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1 for severe infection in HD children was the highest,at 0.985,which was superior to the separate diagnosis of serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1(Zcombination-sTREM-1=1.988,P=0.047;Zcombination-HMGB1=2.126,P=0.034).Conclusion:Serum sTREM-1 and HMGB1 are elevated in HD children with postoperative infection,and the pathogenic bacteria are mainly gram-negative bacteria.In addition,the combined detection of the two provides a reference for the clinical diagnosis of severe infection in HD children.

OBJECTIVE To observe the isolation rates and drug resistance rates of Acinetobacter baumannii strains isolated from intensive care unit(ICU)patients in 8 consecutive years so as to provide bases for reasonable clinical application of antibiotics and control of infections.METHODS The isolation rates and specimens from which the A.baumannii and carbapenem-resistant A.baumannii(CRAB)strains were isolated from ICU patients of the First People's Hospital of Changzhou between 2017 and 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.The trends of the drug resistance rates were observed.RESULTS Totally 2078(18.03％)strains of A.baumannii were isolated from the ICU patients from 2017 to 2024,and there was no significant difference in the changing trend among the years(x2=-1.573,P=0.116).Among the A.baumannii strains that were isolated from 2017 to 2024,58.08％were isolated from sputum,and 24.25％from lavage fluid specimens;the percentage of sputum specimens showed a downward trend in the 8 years(x2=-8.257,P＜0.001),while the percentage of lavage fluid speci-mens showed an upward trend(x2=12.964,P＜0.001).The isolation rate of the CRAB strains was 91.48％in 2017,92.61％in 2018,92.56％in 2019,82.53％in 2020,52.44％in 2021,showing a down-ward trend,and it began to rise in 2022-2024,there was significant difference(x2=-2.277,P=0.012).The isolation rates of the CRAB strains from both sputum and lavage fluid specimens showed downward trends and then upward trends(all P＜0.05).The drug resistance rates of the A.baumannii strains to piperacillin and minocycline showed slow upward trends,while the drug resistance rates to gentamicin and tigecycline showed downward trends,and there were significant differences(P＜0.05).The drug resistance rates of the A.bau-mannii strains to imipenem and meropenem remained more than 90％.CONCLUSIONS Acinetobacter spp is the major pathogen causing the hospital-acquired infection.The isolation rate of CRAB strains shows a downward trend then a upward trend in recent two years.It is necessary for the hospital to standardize the submission of spu-tum specimens and increase the aseptic submission.The A.baumannii strains show high drug resistance rates to the commonly used antibiotics.Polymyxin B,tigecycline and minocycline are the major antibiotics for treatment of CRAB infection.
