Objective Based on the visualization graph analysis of the research hotspots of Angelica sinensis, predict the future research trends, and provide references for the next step of Angelica sinensis research. Methods Chinese and English literatures on Angelica sinensis collected from CNKI, WanFang, VIP and Web of Science from 2012 to 2022 were retrieved. CiteSpace 6.1.R6 software was used to perform visualization econometrics analysis on the number of publications, authors, institutions, journals, keywords and other topics. Results 3490 Chinese literatures and 409 English literatures were included. Visual knowledge map analysis showed that Gansu University of Chinese Medicine and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine were the research institutions with the largest number of literature publications in Chinese and English respectively. Journals published mainly include Shizhen Traditional Chinese Medicine and Materia medica, Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Current research hotspots include the effects of Angelica sinensis polysaccharides, volatile oils, and ferulic acid on the hematopoietic system, chronic diseases, and cognitive impairment, as well as clinical efficacy evaluations of classic prescriptions containing Angelica sinensis and their modified formulations. The research trend was characterized by a focus on the pharmacological study of Danggui Buxue Tang,employing various experimental approaches such as network pharmacology, serum pharmacology, and metabolomics to elucidate the mechanisms of Angelica sinensis. Conclusion The pharmacological effects of Angelica sinensis and its compound were extensive, which should be further researched.

Objective: To explore the relative importance of different food attributes and levels in food decision making of school aged children, and to understand their meal preferences, so as to provide the evidence for formulating precise intervention strategies for dietary behaviours of school aged children. Methods: From May to June 2024, a total of 854 children aged 11 to 15 years old were selected from 2 middle schools (each school in urban and rural areas) in both Hubei Province and Anhui Province by stratified cluster random sampling method to conduct a D-optimal discrete choice experiment. The mixed Logit model was used to analyze children s preference for meal attributes and different levels, and to calculate the relative importance (RI) of attributes and willingness to pay (WTP) in meal choices. Results: The included five food attributes had statistical significance on meal choice of school aged children ( P <0.05). The relative importance of food attributes affecting the meal choices of school aged children in descending order were dining mode ( RI =31.26%), food varieties ( RI =30.56%), cooking method( RI =23.84%), taste( RI =8.06%) and price ( RI =6.27%). Among them, school aged children preferred home cooked meals ( β =0.74) (WTP=86.3 yuan),varied foods(grain/tubers+vegetables+fish, meat, eggs and beans) ( β =0.61) (WTP=71.9 yuan), fried/roasted cooking ( β =0.51) and spicy taste ( β =0.33).Price was negatively correlated with meal choices( β =-0.01) ( P <0.05). Based on residential area and body mass index (BMI), the stratified analysis showed that dining mode was highest in the relative importance for rural children with overweight and obese children ( RI =31.28%,34.17%), both of whom preferred home cooked meals ( β =0.76, 0.91), and meals containing fish, meat, eggs and beans with grain/tubers or grain/tubers and vegetables in terms of food choice (area: β =0.53, 0.53 ; BMI: β =0.55, 0.56) ( P <0.05). Conclusions School aged children have different preferences for different attributes of meals. The quality of school meals should be improved,the cost of buying healthy meals should be reduced,targeted family health education should be carried out,and healthy cooking methods should be advocated.

Objective: To explore the relationship between parenting style and emotional behavior problems in children with development dyslexia (DD), so as to provide reference for family support and intervention measures. Methods: From June to September 2023, 201 children in DD group and typically developing matched by age and sex were selected from the students in grades 3-6 of 4 primary schools in a district of Xinjiang by random cluster sampling method. The Childrens Version of the Parenting Style Scale and the Strength and Difficulty Scale were administered, and the occurrence of childrens emotional behavior problems and parentingstyles in the two groups were compared by Chisquare test and Wicoxon rank sum test. The correlation between parents parenting styles and childrens emotional behavior problems was analyzed by generalized linear regression. Results: The detection rates of emotional behavior problems were 45.77% in DD group and 15.42% in normal control children group. The differences in parenting styles between fathers and mothers of the DD group and the normal control group were statistically significant in terms of emotional warmth, parenting anxiety, and overprotection (Z=4.02, 29.03; 4.94, 26.32; 23.47, 5.30, P<0.05). Generalized linear regression analysis showed that father affective warmth was positively correlated with emotional symptoms, hyperactivity, peer interaction problems and prosocial behaviors (β=0.08, 0.05, 0.05, 0.09, P<0.05). The emotional warmth of mothers in DD group was negatively correlated with emotional symptoms, conduct problems, hyperactivity and peer interaction problems (β=-0.18, -0.08, -0.07, -0.08, P<0.05). Conclusions Parenting style is an important factor affecting the emotional behavior problems of DD children. Improving parenting style can reduce the occurrence of emotional behavior problems of DD children.

Objective:To investigate the necessity of adaptive re-planning during radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and its impact on dose improvement.Methods:Clinical data of 89 NPC patients admitted to Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center from July 2014 to December 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients received 25+7 rounds of adaptive re-planning during radiotherapy. Plan-A was defined as the initial CT scan-based 25-fraction radiotherapy plan, while plan-B was defined as the re-planned 7-fraction radiotherapy plan based on a subsequent CT scan. The changes in the target and parotid gland volumes were compared between plan-A and plan-B. Plan-I was a one-time simulation of plan-A extended to 32 fraction radiotherapy plan, and plan-II was generated through registration and fusion of the plan-A and plan-B for adaptive re-planning. The differences in dose metrics, homogeneity index (HI), conformity index (CI), and dose to organs at risk (OAR) were compared between plan-I and plan-II. Statistical analysis was performed by using paired t-test. Results:Compared with plan-A, the gross tumor volume of massive bleeding lesions (GTV nx) and parotid gland volume of plan-B were decreased by 13.14% and 11.12%, respectively (both P<0.001). While planning clinical target volume of metastatic lymph nodes (PCTV nd) of plan-B was increased by 7.75%( P<0.001). There were significant changes in the lymph nodes of plan-A and plan-B. The D mean, D 5%, D 95% of massive bleeding lesions planning target volume (PTV nx) and D 5% of high risk planning target volume (PTV1) in plan-II were all significantly higher than those in plan-I (all P<0.05). The CI of PTV nx and PTV1 in plan-II was closer to 1 than that in plan-I. In all assessed OAR, the D mean, D 50%, and D max of plan-II were significantly lower than those of plan-I (all P<0.05). Conclusions:During radiotherapy, NPC patients may experience varying degrees of primary tumor shrinkage, parotid gland atrophy, and lymph node changes. It is necessary to deliver re-planning and significantly improve the dose of target areas and OAR.

Cognitive impairment refers to the abnormality of the hippocampus， cortex and other parts of the brain， which is manifested by the decline of cognitive abilities such as learning， memory and attention. With the increase in people's work pressure and bad living habits， the incidence of cognitive impairment is getting higher and higher， which seriously affects people's normal life. However， there are adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal reactions and extrapyramidal reactions in Western drug treatment for cognitive impairment. Therefore， the development of a drug with relatively minimal adverse reactions is of great significance. Traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） has the characteristics of "multi-component， multi-pathway and multi-target"， and the incidence of adverse reactions is relatively low. Studies have shown that the pathogenesis of cognitive impairment is closely related to oxidative stress， inflammation， apoptosis， autophagy and other processes of neurons in the cerebral cortex and hippocampus. Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase （PI3K）-protein kinase B （Akt） signal pathway plays an important role in the transmission of intracellular and intracellular signals， and in the regulation of cellular inflammation， apoptosis， autophagy， etc. TCM monomers， TCM extracts， and TCM compounds exert anti-inflammatory， antioxidant， anti-apoptotic and autophagy regulation effects by regulating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway to improve cognitive impairment. This review first summarized the composition and regulatory process of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway， and then discussed the research progress on the improvement of cognitive impairment through the improvement of oxidative stress， inflammation， apoptosis and autophagy of neurons. Finally， the recent research status of the regulation of this signaling pathway by TCM extracts， TCM monomers and TCM compounds to improve cognitive impairment was summarized. This study provides a theoretical basis for the future study of new TCM related to cognitive impairment.

Objective:To analyze the clinical symptoms and epidemiological characteristics of patients with tsutsugamushi disease (TD) in Utica County, Shiyan City, providing reference for scientific prevention and control of TD.Methods:The information of 57 TD patients admitted to the Department of Infectious Diseases of the People's Hospital of Utica County in Shiyan City from January to December 2022 was collected, including age, gender, occupation, clinical manifestations (tarsus or chigger, high fever, rash and accompanying syndromes), laboratory and imaging test results, and field work and travel history. Blood samples and body crusts were collected, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) were used to detect antibodies against Orientia tsugamushi (Ot-Ab-IgM) and Orientia tsutsugamushi (Ot). The scores of each patient were calculated using the TD Diagnostic Scale. A score of ≥8.5 was considered a clinical diagnosis of TD. According to the number of system functional damages (0, 1, 2, ≥3), 57 patients were divided into 4 groups, A, B, C, and D, TD was analyzed for system functional damages of each system.Results:Among the 57 TD patients, 26 (45.61%) were male and 31 (54.39%) were female, and the proportion of patients aged 40 - 79 years was 92.98% (53/57); farmers accounted for 89.47% (51/57). May was the peak of TD incidence, with 19 cases, which accounted for 33.33% (19/57) of the total number of patients affected that year. Fifty-four patients had a history of fieldwork or field trips before the onset of the disease. The incidence of high fever in 57 TD patients was 100.00%(57/57), the detection rate of body scorch or chiggers was 80.70% (46/57), and the incidence rate of rash was 98.25% (56/57); the incidence rate of tsutsugamushi disease triad (accompanied by scabs, high fever, and rash) was 80.70% (46/57); the incidence of eosinophil decline was 100.00%(57/57), and 77.19% (44/57) of TD patients experienced multiple-system functional damage (MSFD). The TD score diagnostic scale for 57 patients ranged from 8.5 to 10.5 points. After being hospitalized for 1 - 5 days, all TD patients experienced a decrease in body temperature to the normal range, and the damage to various systems functional gradually recovered.Conclusions:TD has become one of the most common natural infectious diseases in Utopia County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The patients are mainly middle-aged and elderly people, and the triple syndrome is a typical clinical manifestation. Asymptomatic injuries to the blood system, liver and kidneys are the most common.

Objective To explore the effects of multiple groups of acupoint pre-embedding thread on the autonomic nervous system and gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing gynecological laparo-scopic surgery under general anesthesia.Methods Sixty patients,aged 25-64 years,BMI 18.5-30.0 kg/m2,ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ,were selected for laparoscopic gynecological surgery under general anesthesia.Patients were divided into two groups using a random number table method:control group(group C)and acupoint thread embedding group(group M),30 patients in each group.Patients in group M received thread embedding at 10 acupoints in 5 groups,including Neiguan,Sanyinjiao,Geshu,Jueyin,and Weishu on the day before surgery.Patients in group C did not undergo thread embedding at acupoints before surgery.The HR,MAP,normalized unit of low frequency(LF),normalized unit of high frequency(HF)and LF/HF were recorded at 5 minutes before anesthesia induction,immediately after tracheal intu-bation,immediately after establishing pneumoperitoneum,10,20,and 30 minutes after pneumoperitoneum,and when tracheal intubation was removed.Motilin and gastrin concentrations in serum were measured on the day before surgery and 24 hours after surgery.The time of first postoperative exhaust and defecation,as well as the occurrence of nausea and vomiting within 48 hours after surgery were recorded.Results Compared with group C,the HR was significantly lower,and the MAP,the LF and LF/HF in group M were significant-ly reduced at 10,20,and 30 minutes after pneumoperitoneum,while HF was significantly increased(P＜0.05).The first postoperative time of exhaust and defecation in group M was significantly shortened(P＜0.05),and the incidence of nausea and vomiting within 24 hours after surgery was significantly reduced(P＜0.05).The concentrations of motilin and gastrin in serum of group M were significantly increased 24 hours after surgery(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of acupoints and pre-embedding thread can regu-late the autonomic nervous function of patients undergoing gynecological laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia,which is beneficial for the recovery of postoperative gastrointestinal function and improves the quality of rehabilitation.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of Lycium barbarum polysaccharide(LBP)on reproductive system damage induced by exposure to high-altitude hypoxic environment in female rats,and to explore the mechanisms involved.Methods After undergoing physiological synchronization,30 female Wistar rats were randomly and evenly assigned to 3 groups,including a plain control(C)group,a high-altitude hypoxia(H)group,and a high-altitude hypoxia+LBP(H-LBP)group.The C group was placed in a region at an altitude of 1500 m above sea level(with an oxygen volume fraction of 18.55％),while the H group and the H-LBP group were placed in a region at an altitude of 4 010 m above sea level(with an oxygen volume fraction of 12.70％).Rats in the H-LBP group were fed with LBP at 75 mg/kg via gastric gavage,while the C and H groups received normal saline once a day for 14 days in a row.Changes in estrous cycles were documented throughout the experiment.At the end of the experiment,the serum levels of reproductive hormones and the levels of oxidative stress in the ovarian and uterine tissues were measured.Morphological changes in the ovarian and uterine tissues were assessed using hematoxylin-eosin(HE)staining.A component-target-pathway network diagram was constructed using network pharmacology methods to analyze the key targets and pathways.Results Compared with the C group,rats in the H group had disrupted estrous cycles and significantly lower serum levels of reproductive hormones(all P＜0.05).In addition,rats in the H group had increased oxidative stress damage and experienced pathological damage in the ovarian and uterine tissues.However,compared with those of the H group,the estrous cycle in the H-LBP group became normalized after the administration of LBP and the serum levels of estradiol(E2),progesterone(P),luteinizing hormone(LH),and anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)were significantly increased in H-LBP group(all P＜0.05).In the ovarian tissue,the malondialdehyde(MDA)content was significantly reduced,superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity was increased,and the content of reduced glutathione(GSH)was increased.In addition,in the uterine tissue,the MDA content was reduced and SOD activity was increased(all P＜0.05),with LBP significantly improving the pathological damage to the reproductive organs of female rats caused by high-altitude hypoxic environment.Through network pharmacology analysis,we identified 76 potential targets for the protective effect of LBP against high-altitude hypoxia-induced reproductive injury,and the targets were mainly involved in the signaling pathways such as calcium channels,PI3K-Akt,MAPK,and HIF-1.Conclusion LBP can ameliorate high-altitude hypoxia-induced reproductive damage in female rats.The mechanisms involved may be associated with the regulation of PI3K-Akt,MAPK,and HIF-1 pathways.

Objective:To evaluate the autogenous arteriovenous fistula(AVF) insufficiency by ultrasound monitoring of brachial artery resistance index(RI).Methods:The brachial artery RI and blood flow volume(FV) data of 828 patients who underwent color-Doppler ultrasound detection after AVF in the General Hospital of Western Theater Command from January 2019 to June 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were grouped according to the adequacy of clinical dialysis, including 668 patients in the group with normal AVF function and 160 patients in the group with insufficient AVF function. The general information and ultrasonic measurement parameters were compared between the two groups. The correlation between brachial artery FV and RI was analyzed. The evaluation of brachial artery flow RI for AVF insufficiency was analyzed by ROC curve.Results:There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in brachial artery RI and FV(both P<0.001). The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that brachial artery FV was negatively correlated to RI ( r=-0.657, P<0.001). The area under ROC curve for assessing AVF function by brachial artery RI was 0.970, with 95% CI was 0.955-0.986, the optimal cut-off value was 0.665, and the sensitivity and specificity were 0.888 and 0.955, respectively. Conclusions:Brachial artery RI in patients with AVF insufficiency is significantly higher than that in patients with normal AVF function. The optimal cutoff value of brachial artery RI can be used as an evaluation parameter for rapid screening of AVF function.

SARS-CoV-2 infection causes complicated clinical manifestations with variable multi-organ injuries, however, the underlying mechanism, in particular immune responses in different organs, remains elusive. In this study, comprehensive transcriptomic alterations of 14 tissues from rhesus macaque infected with SARS-CoV-2 were analyzed. Compared to normal controls, SARS-CoV-2 infection resulted in dysregulation of genes involving diverse functions in various examined tissues/organs, with drastic transcriptomic changes in cerebral cortex and right ventricle. Intriguingly, cerebral cortex exhibited a hyperinflammatory state evidenced by significant upregulation of inflammation response-related genes. Meanwhile, expressions of coagulation, angiogenesis and fibrosis factors were also up-regulated in cerebral cortex. Based on our findings, neuropilin 1 (NRP1), a receptor of SARS-CoV-2, was significantly elevated in cerebral cortex post infection, accompanied by active immune response releasing inflammatory factors and signal transmission among tissues, which enhanced infection of the central nervous system (CNS) in a positive feedback way, leading to viral encephalitis. Overall, our study depicts a multi-tissue/organ transcriptomic landscapes of rhesus macaque with early infection of SARS-CoV-2, and provides important insights into the mechanistic basis for COVID-19-associated clinical complications.
