Objective To determine the pathogenicity of a novel mutation(c.109_111del)in DKC1 gene of an adult patient, and to analyze the clinical phenotype, immunophenotype and telomere length,so as to provide clues for early clinical identification and diagnosis. Methods The clinical data and peripheral blood samples of the patient were collected for genetic testing and family analysis. The lymphocyte subsets of the patient were detected by Flow cytometry, and the telomere length of the patient and healthy controls were detected by Flow-FISH.Results The main clinical manifestations of the patient were mucocutaneous triad, bone marrow failure and infection. The telomere length of lymphocytes in the patient was significantly shorter than that of healthy controls of the same age,and the absolute value and percentage of lymphocyte subsets were abnormal. Conclusion The clinical manifestations of DC patients are diverse.Flow-FISH detection of telomere length is helpful for early diagnosis of DC patients.

Chinese Journal of Stomatology 2025;60(12):1327-1336
This consensus was developed by the Orthodontic Society of the Chinese Stomatological Association to provide a systematic, scientific, and practical guideline for informed consent in orthodontic care. Orthodontic treatment is typically lengthy, highly individualized, and involves multiple factors such as growth and development, occlusal function, and facial esthetics. Rapid technological advances and diverse risk profiles make the traditional reliance on orthodontist experience or institutional templates insufficient to ensure patients′ full understanding and autonomous decision-making. To address this, the expert panel conducted extensive reviews of domestic and international guidelines, analyzed representative dispute cases, and performed multicenter patient-clinician surveys. Using a multi-round Delphi method, the group established a standardized informed consent framework covering the initial consultation, treatment, and retention phases. The consensus emphasizes that informed consent is not only a fundamental legal and ethical requirement but also a key step in building trust, improving patient compliance, and enhancing treatment satisfaction. Orthodontists should clearly and comprehensively explain treatment plans, potential risks, uncertainties, and associated costs, while respecting the autonomy of patients or guardians, and maintain continuous communication and dynamic evaluation throughout the treatment process. The release of this consensus provides unified and authoritative guidance for clinical orthodontics, helping to standardize informed consent, enhance its transparency, safeguard patient rights, reduce medical risks, and promote high-quality, sustainable development of orthodontic practice.

Objective:To explore the protective effect and mechanism of Rougan Tongluo Decoction on ischemic stroke induced motor disorder rats based on NOD-like receptor thermal protein domain associated protein 3(NLRP3)/Gasdermin D(GSDMD)/Cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase 1(Caspase-1)pathway.Methods:Establishing a rat model of ischemic stroke with motor disorders using the modified suture method. The rats were randomly divided into model control group,Rougan Tongluo Decoction low, medium and high dose groups and butylphthalide soft capsule group, with 10 rats in each group,Another 10 rats were selected as sham surgery group. After 28 days of administration, the neurological function of rats in each group was evaluated by the Zea-Longa scoring method; The forelimb grasping force of rats in each group was detected by grip tester; The coordination ability of rats was evaluated by rat-mouse rotarod instrument; The expression of NLRP3,GSDMD,Caspase-1 protein and Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results:The NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD protein and IL-1β expression Zea-Longa score in the cerebral cortex of the model control group were significantly higher than those in sham surgery group, the forelimb grasping force was lower than that in sham surgery group, and the latency period for turning the baton was shorter than that in sham surgery group(P<0.05).The Zeba-Longa score,NLRP3,Caspase-1,GSDMD protein and IL-1 β expression in the cerebral cortex the butylphthalide soft capsule group, low dose, medium dose, high dose Rougan Tongluo decoction group were lower than those in model control group, the forelimb grasping force was higher than that in model control group, and the latency period for turning the baton was longer than that in model control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Rougan Tongluo Decoction may alleviate inflammatory response by regulating the NLRP3/Caspase-1/GSDMD signaling pathway to improve neurological function and motor ability in ischemic stroke induced motor disorder rats.

Tuberculosis(TB),a chronic infectious disease caused by infection with the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex(MTBC),has re-emerged as the leading cause of death from a single infectious agent worldwide.Because of widespread use and mis-use of anti-tuberculosis drugs, the emergence of multidrug-resistant TB(MDR-TB)and extensively drug-resistant TB(XDR-TB)is increasing, thus posing a serious threat to global health. The current problem of drug resistance is a major prevention and treatment challenge;therefore, the search for new drug targets is urgently needed. In recent years, substantial progress has been made in re-search on anti-tuberculosis drug targets and novel therapeutic strategies.Herein,we summarize recent research progress in anti-tuberculosis drug targets, primarily cell wall synthesis, nucleic acid replication and transcription, and energy metabolism. We also provide an overview of research progress regarding two novel therapeutic strategies,to provide a theoretical basis and research ideas for the development of new clinical drugs.

Objective:To systematically analyze the definition, development, conceptual application, characteristic attributes, extension, and similar concepts of family avoidance of communication about cancer through the conceptual analysis method, so as to clarify the conceptual connotation of family avoidance of communication about cancer. Methods:Literature on family avoidance of communication about cancer was searched in WanFang Data, VIP, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Biomedical Database, CINAHL, Embase, PubMed, PsycINFO and so on. The search period was from database establishment to December 31, 2023. Walker and Avant's conceptual analysis method was used for analysis. Results:Through a compilation and analysis of relevant literature, the conceptual characteristics of family avoidance of communication about cancer were summarized, including bidirectional influence (both the cancer patient and family members tend to conceal their self-emotions and influence each other), information concealment (lack of communicative behaviors on both sides) and the desire to protection (aiming to hopefully protect each other) .Conclusions:The conceptual attributes of family avoidance of communication about cancer compiled can provide a basis for the proper understanding of related concepts within the subject area and provide conceptual support for the practice and research of family avoidance of communication about cancer.

World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2025;27(7):1841-1850
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that mainly affects dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra region of the brain, and its clinical manifestations include shaking and slowness of movement. The means of clinical medicine treatment are limited, but traditional Chinese medicine, with its advantages of low cost and high safety, shows great potential in the prevention and treatment of Parkinson's disease. Our team proposed that the core pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease was"earth deficiency and wood multiplication",that is,spleen(soil)deficiency and liver(wood)dysfunction.Among them,"earth deficiency"was the basis of the disease, and"wood multiplication"was the core of the disease. The treatment advocated"strengthening spleen and soothing liver",the specific methods included strengthening spleen and resolving phlegm,Tonify qi and cultivate the middle and soothing liver and relieve depression, and subdue wind and unblock the meridians, etc.Representative recipes were Lianmei Siwu decoction,Zhengan Xifeng decoction,Huangya decoction and Shenzhu decoction. In the treatment,we should pay attention to the whole concept and syndrome differentiation and treatment, and combine the three factors to improve the clinical effect. At the same time, the advantages and mechanisms of TCM in the prevention and treatment of Parkinson's disease deserve further research and verification.
