ObjectiveTo investigate the pharmacological effect and metabolic mechanism of Linderae Radix on the intrauterine adhesion (IUA) rat model. MethodAn IUA rat model was induced by mechanical injury and infection. Molecular biology and pharmacology techniques were employed to evaluate the inhibitory effect of Linderae Radix extract (LAE) on fibrosis in IUA. Serum metabolomics analysis based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was conducted to explore the metabolic regulation mechanism of LAE. ResultAnimal experiments showed that LAE significantly improved the morphology and structural damage of uterine tissue cells in the IUA rat model, promoted endometrial proliferation, vascular regeneration, and morphological recovery, inhibited the mRNA expression of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), Smad2, and Smad3, and increased the expression of Smad7 mRNA to suppress fibrosis. Additionally, LAE significantly suppressed the levels of estrogen (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) expression (P<0.01), thereby improving the uterine microenvironment. Metabolomics analysis revealed significant metabolic abnormalities in the serum of IUA rats compared with the results in the normal group, and nine differential metabolites were identified. LAE effectively ameliorated these metabolic abnormalities, primarily by influencing six differential metabolites, including five shared metabolites among the nine identified markers: L-aspartic acid, L-pyroglutamic acid, L-serine, glucose, and L-norvaline. Pathway enrichment analysis indicated that the aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis pathway was the main affecting mechanism. ConclusionIn combination with the pharmacological research results, LAE effectively improved uterine damage and inhibited fibrosis in the IUA rat model. Its mechanism may involve the inhibition of the aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis pathway and the improvement of the microenvironment.

Based on the research system of computer-aided drug design combined with complex network analysis, the potential mechanism of Dunhuang Dabupi Decoction in preventing and treating gastric cancer (GC) is analyzed, and the scientific connotation of its prescription rules is explored through the efficacy grouping. To study the effect of Dabupi Decoction freeze-dried powder solution on the proliferation activity of gastric cancer cells through cell experiments; the TCMSP and TCMID databases were used to collect the compound components of Dabupi Decoction. Swiss Target Prediction is used to predict potential targets of compounds. DrugBank, GeneCards, TTD, and DisGeNET were used to collect potential targets for gastric cancer. Analyze protein interactions of potential targets through the STRING database. DAVID database was used for KEGG enrichment analysis; Dabupi Decoction was divided into Wenzhong group (dried ginger), Yiqi group (ginseng, licorice, Atractylodes macrocephala), nourishing Yin group (Ophiopogon japonicus, Schisandra) and Jiangni group according to its efficacy characteristics. The inverse group (inula) has 4 functional compatibility groups. Cytoscape was used to construct a network of "medicinal flavor-potential active ingredient-key target" respectively, and the network was used to analyze the scientific connotation of the compatibility of efficacy groups. The Schrödinger software was used to verify the molecular docking of the core components and the core targets. The material basis of the Dabupi Decoction to prevent and treat gastric cancer was discovered through the combination of pattern analysis and combined free energy calculation. The core drug was analyzed from the perspective of dynamics through molecular dynamics simulation. Potential targets and representative potential compounds interact with each other. Cell experiments confirmed that Dabupitang freeze-dried powder solution can down-regulate the mitochondrial membrane potential of AGS gastric cancer cells, block the cell cycle in the G0/G1 phase (

Objective:To compare the characteristics of four commonly adopted animal models of hyperuricemia (HUA) for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) screening, so as to choose the adequate model for screening Chinese herbs and herbal compounds capable of lowering the uric acid. Method:Fifty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into nine groups, namely the normal group, hypoxanthine (HX) + oxonic acid potassium salt (OAPS) model group, yeast extract (YE) + OAPS model group, low-dose adenine (AD) + ethambutol (EMB) model group, high-dose AD + EMB model group, and four positive drug allopurinol (Allo) groups. The modeling lasted for 14 d. The levels of serum uric acid (SUA), urinary uric acid (UUA), serum creatinine (SCr), urea nitrogen (BUN), kidney injury molecule 1 (KIM-1), and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) were detected on the 3rd, 7th, and 14th days. Urine was collected on the 7th and 14th days to investigate changes in urine volume, and the crystals in the residual urine were observed under a polarizing microscope. After the modeling, the kidney was harvested and weighed, followed by pathological examination. Result:The urine volumes in the HX + OAPS model group and high-dose AD + EMB model group were significantly reduced (

PURPOSE:
Rapid decompressive craniectomy (DC) was the most effective method for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage (HICH) with cerebral hernia, but the mortality and disability rate is still high. We suspected that hematoma puncture drainage (PD) + DC may improve the therapeutic effect and thus compared the combined surgery with DC alone.
METHODS:
From December 2013 to July 2019, patients with HICH from Linzhi, Tibet and Honghe, Yunnan Province were retrospectively analyzed. The selection criteria were as follows: (1) altitude ≥1500 m; (2) HICH patients with cerebral hernia; (3) Glascow coma scale score of 4-8 and time from onset to admission ≤3 h; (4) good liver and kidney function; and (5) complete case data. The included patients were divided into DC group and PD + DC group. The patients were followed up for 6 months. The outcome was assessed by Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) score, Kaplan-Meier survival curve and correlation between time from admission to operation and prognosis. A good outcome was defined as independent (GOS score, 4-5) and poor outcome defined as dependent (GOS score, 3-1). All data analyses were performed using SPSS 19, and comparison between two groups was conducted using separate t-tests or Chi-square tests.
RESULTS:
A total of 65 patients was included. The age ranged 34-90 years (mean, 63.00 ± 14.04 years). Among them, 31 patients had the operation of PD + DC, whereas 34 patients underwent DC. The two groups had no significant difference in the basic characteristics. After 6 months of follow-up, in the PD + DC group there were 8 death, 4 vegetative state, 4 severe disability (GOS score 1-3, poor outcome 51.6 %); 8 moderate disability, and 7 good recovery (GOS score 4-5, good outcome 48.4 %); while in the DC group the result was 15 death, 6 vegetative state, 5 severe disability (poor outcome 76.5 %), 4 moderate disability and 4 good recovery (good outcome 23.5 %). The GOS score and good outcome were significantly less in DC group than in PD + DC group (Z = -1.993, p = 0.046; χ
CONCLUSION
PD + DC treatment can improve the good outcomes better than DC treatment for HICH with cerebral hernia at a high altitude.

To investigate the effect of Sishen Wan (SSW) on intestinal flora in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) rats and explore the efficacy of this regiment for improving IBS-D, we divided 45 SPF male SD rats randomly into control, disease, SSW, Ershen Wan (ESW) and Wuweizasan (WWZS) groups. The spleen-kidney-yang deficiency type IBS-D rat model was prepared by a composite factor and administered for 14 days. After collecting the feces of the rats, total DNA was extracted from the stool samples. Primers were designed based on the 16S r RNA V3 to V4 regions of the bacteria, and used for high-throughput sequencing with the Illumina Miseq platform. We found that SSW can effectively reduce the diarrhea index (

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of malaria in Leshan City,so as to provide the evi-dence for formulating the strategy and measures for consolidating the achievements of malaria elimination. Methods The data of epidemiological characteristics of malaria in Leshan City from 1950 to 2015 were collected and analyzed with the descriptive epidemiology method. Results There were four larger scale epidemics of malaria in Leshan City from 1950 to 2015. The order of malaria in infectious diseases dropped from the first to the twentieth. The peak season for malaria epidemics ceased. The Plas-modium species, patient age, occupation and sex distribution of malaria were different in the different periods. In November 2016,the whole city achieved the national standard for malaria elimination. Conclusions After years of prevention and con-trol,the epidemiological characteristics of malaria have changed significantly in Leshan City, and the effect of anti-malarial mea-sures is significant. In the future,we should strengthen the monitoring, and prevention and control of imported malaria.

OBJECTIVETo assess embryo implantation rate (IR) and pregnancy rate (PR) in women who received Bushen Wengong Decoction (BSWGD), a Chinese herbal formula, combined with low dose of human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) prior to frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET).
METHODSA total of 262 subjects (674 transferred embryos) who received FET were analyzed retrospectively. In them, 122 women were under 30 years old, 106 between 30 - 35 years and 32 over 35 years. The 85 subjects with normal ovulation were assigned to Group A, the natural menstruation cycling group, on whom no pre-transfer treatment was applied. The other 177 subjects with abnormal ovulation were assigned to Group B, and subdivided, according to the pre-transfer treatment they received, into three groups, Group B1 (50 cases) received BSWGD, Group B2 (58 cases) received hMG and Group B3 (69 cases) received both BSWGD and low dose hMG. The IR and PR of FET in the four groups were compared, and the effect of the embryo cryotime on PR of FET were compared also. Besides, the influencing factors to FET were analyzed.
RESULTSIR and PR were significantly higher in all age sects of Group B3 than those in Group A, showing significant difference (P< 0.05). IR and PR in subjects in age sects of <30 years and > 35 years in group B3 were significantly higher than those in Group B1 ( P<0.05), but no significant difference was shown in the two parameters between Group B 2 and Group B3 (P>0.05). PR in the subjects who received embryos with cryo-time of > 200 days was significantly lower than that in those with cryo-time of < 100 days ( P<0.05). Embryo cryo-time, endometrial thickness, use of BSWGD and use of hMG were of significance in FET ( P 0.05).
CONCLUSIONA programmed cycle of BSWGD combined with low dose of hMG could improve the embryo IR and PR of FET. Embryo cryo-time, endometrial thickness, and the use of BSWGD and hMG are of significance for FET.
