Objective: To analyze the change trends in the body shape indicators and proportions of students in Harbin from 2010 to 2024, and to investigate ergonomic compatibility of functional dimensions of school desks and chairs with current student shape indicators, so as to provide a reference for revising furniture standards of desks and chairs. Methods: Between September and November of both 2010 and 2024, a combination of convenience sampling and stratified cluster random sampling was conducted across three districts in Harbin, yielding samples of 6 590 and 6 252 students, respectively. Anthropometric shape indicators cluding height, sitting height, crus length, and thigh length-and their proportional changes were compared over the 15-year period. The 2024 data were compared with current standard functional dimensions of school furniture. The statistical analysis incorporated t-test and Mann-Whitney U- test. Results: From 2010 to 2024, average height increased by 1.8 cm for boys and 1.5 cm for girls; sitting height increased by 1.5 cm for both genders; crus length increased by 0.3 cm for boys and 0.4 cm for girls; and thigh length increased by 0.5 cm for both genders. The ratios of sitting height to height, and sitting height to leg length increased by less than 0.1 . The difference between desk chair height and 1/3 sitting height ranged from 0.4-0.8 cm. Among students matched with size 0 desks and chairs, 22.0% had a desk to chair height difference less than 0, indicating that the desk to chair height difference might be insufficient for taller students. The differences between seat height and fibular height ranged from -1.4 to 1.1 cm; and the differences between seat depth and buttock popliteal length ranged from -9.8 to 3.4 cm. Among obese students, the differences between seat width and 1/2 hip circumference ranged from -20.5 to -8.7 cm, while it ranged from -12.2 to -3.8 cm among non obese students. Conclusion Current furniture standards basically satisfy hygienic requirements; however, in the case of exceptionally tall and obese students, ergonomic accommodations such as adaptive seating allocation or personalized adjustments are recommended to meet hygienic requirements.

To summarize Professor WANG Xixing's clinical experience in treating advanced breast cancer with anxiety and depression from the perspective of shaoyang pivot. It is believed that the core pathogenesis of advanced breast cancer with anxiety and depression lies in the dysfunction of shaoyang pivot （referring to the imbalanced regulatory function of the shaoyang meridian system that governs the transportation and transformation of qi， blood， and body fluids）. This dysfunction can lead to abnormal circulation of qi， blood， and body fluids， as well as the intermingling of phlegm and blood stasis， which further promotes the spread and diffusion of cancer toxin. Meanwhile， it disturbs mental activity， resulting in a condition characterized by stagnation of cancer toxin and concurrent disorders of both the physical body and the spirit. Based on this pathogenesis， the basic therapeutic principles of harmonizing shaoyang， regulating the pivot to calm the spirit， and dissipating masses and resolving toxins are proposed. Clinically， the disease is classified into three syndromes for differentiation and treatment. For shaoyang pivot dysfunction syndrome， treatment should use self-prescribed Chaiqin Hengshu Ningxin Decoction （柴芩衡枢宁神汤）； for sanjiao pivot dysfunction syndrome， treatment should prescribe Chaigui Tongshu Dashen Decoction （柴归通枢达神饮）； for gallbladder function disorder syndrome， treatment should apply Wendan Qishu Shoushen Decoction （温胆启枢守神汤）. Throughout the treatment process， the concept of "simultaneous treatment of cancer and depression" is implemented to smooth the shaoyang pivot， block the vicious cycle where cancer toxin and emotional abnormalities mutually reinforce each other.

Backgroud At present, there is no unified standard for the detection of glufosinate ammonium and three metabolites in urine, which affects the accurate assessment of occupational exposure risk to a certain extent. It is of great significance to establish a rapid and effective inspection method to ensure occupational safety and public health. Objective To establish an ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for simultaneous determination of glufosinate ammonium and three metabolites in urine. Methods The effects of dilution solvents and dilution ratios on the response values of glufosinate ammonium and three metabolites were compared, and the retention capacities of solid phase extraction columns for targets as well as the effects of chromatographic columns and mobile phase systems on chromatographic peaks were analyzed. Samples were quantified by matrix effect matching external standard method. Accuracy of the method was evaluated by recovery rate of standard addition, and precision of the method was evaluated by relative standard deviation of intra-day and inter-day measurements. Urine samples of 30 health individuals were collected to evaluate the application of the method. Results The urine samples were diluted with 0.2 mL water and 0.6 mL acetonitrile, purified by HLB solid phase extraction columns, and separated by Dikma Polyamino HILIC columns, and gradient elution was carried out with 0.5 mmol·L⁻¹ ammonium acetate and 0.1% ammonia water as mobile phase, which achieved a good peak shape and mass spectrum response. The linearities of the four target compounds were good in the range of 0.5-50 ng·mL⁻¹, and the correlation coefficients (r) were all greater than 0.998. The detection limits were 0.56-2.86 μg·L⁻¹, the quantification limits were 1.87-29.54 μg·L⁻¹, and the recovery rates of standard addition ranged from 75.0% to 103.6%, The relative standard deviations of intra-batch and inter-batch were from 2.5% to 8.1% and from 4.3% to 9.3% respectively. The method was applied to detect 30 urine samples of subjects, and no target was detected. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid, sensitive, and accurate. It is suitable for the determination of glufosinate ammonium and its metabolites in human urine without derivatization.

This article presents a case of acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in a pregnant woman caused by coronary artery dissection. The 41-year-old patient had undergone cardiac valve surgery at the age of 1 and had no risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, smoking, alcohol use, or a family history of coronary artery disease. At 31 +1 weeks of gestation, she experienced sudden chest pain for 4 hours and was emergently referred to Peking University First Hospital on June 1, 2021. Electrocardiogram revealed ST-segment elevation in leads I, aVL, and V 2 to V 6. Biochemical assays showed elevated levels of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I and creatine kinase-MB. Echocardiography indicated segmental ventricular wall motion abnormalities (apical) and reduced left ventricular function, confirming the diagnosis of acute anterior wall STEMI. The patient promptly underwent emergency coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention and confirmed coronary artery dissection. Postoperative care included antiplatelet, anticoagulation, and supportive treatment. At 34 +3 weeks of gestation, with the condition of acute anterior wall STEMI being relatively stable, a cesarean section was successfully performed. Regular cardiology follow-ups were scheduled postpartum, and cardiac function was normal in two years after discharge.

BACKGROUND:The problem of intervertebral disc injury and degeneration has been studied in many ways.Many studies have shown that intervertebral disc injury and degeneration is driven by mechanical loading factors.However,the potential relationship between common phenotypes of intervertebral disc injury and degeneration and mechanical loading factors has been rarely summarized. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the types of common structural abnormalities exhibited by intervertebral disc injury and degeneration in the published literature,and sum up the potential links to the types of mechanical loading that lead to these structural abnormalities in in vitro and ex vivo experimental studies. METHODS:Using the terms"intervertebral disc failure,intervertebral disc injury,mechanical load,mechanical factor,load factor,biomechanics"as Chinese and English key words in PubMed,CNKI,and WanFang databases,articles related to intervertebral disc injury degeneration and mechanical load factors were retrieved.Literature screening was performed according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,and 88 articles were finally included. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Common structural abnormalities of intervertebral discs include decreased intervertebral disc height,disc bulge,osteophyte formation,annulus fibrosus tear,intervertebral disc herniation or disc prolapse,endplate damage,Schmorl nodes and intervertebral disc calcification.Intervertebral discs are susceptible to mechanical load types such as compression,bending,axial rotation,and compound loads.(2)The compressive load mainly causes the decrease of the proteoglycan content and the water-binding ability of the intervertebral disc,leading to the decrease or swelling of the intervertebral disc and further damage and degeneration of the intervertebral disc.In addition,the excessive compressive load causes greater damage to the endplate.(3)Bending load and axial rotation load damage the annulus fibrosus more than the endplate,and prolonged or repeated bending loads can cause tearing of the fibrous annulus and herniation or prolapse of the intervertebral disc,while pure axial rotation loads can induce less damage to the intervertebral disc and only cause the tear of the annulus fibrosus.(4)However,when different load types act in combination,it is more likely to result in high stress on the disc and a greater risk of disc injury.(5)Injury and degeneration of the intervertebral disc present progressive structural damage,and early prevention and protection are particularly important in clinical practice.Future tissue engineering research can start with early repair of the intervertebral disc.

BACKGROUND:At present,the biological functions and molecular changes of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in the tumor microenvironment of acute myeloid leukemia are still unclear. OBJECTIVE:To explore the changes in the biological function of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in acute myeloid leukemia and the role of acute myeloid leukemia conditioned medium by bioinformatics and experiment. METHODS:Differential genes were screened from GEO data sets,and enrichment analysis was performed.The protein-protein interaction network was constructed and the Hub gene was obtained.Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from patients with acute myeloid leukemia and healthy donors were cultured.Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from healthy donors were treated with acute myeloid leukemia conditioned culture solution.Each group was subjected to the adipogenic differentiation,osteogenic differentiation,staining of β-galactosidase,detection of the cell cycle,and validation of Hub genes. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Gene expression data of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells from acute myeloid leukemia patients and healthy donors were obtained from GSE84881,and 184 up-regulated genes and 140 down-regulated genes were screened.(2)The biological functions of enrichment mainly include cell cycle,adipocyte differentiation,cell metabolism,and MYC pathway.According to the Degree algorithm,10 up-regulated Hub genes and 10 down-regulated Hub genes were selected.(3)The cell in vitro experiment found that:compared with the control group,the surface antigen of acute myeloid leukemia mesenchymal stem cells did not change,but it showed enhanced lipid differentiation ability,weakened osteogenic differentiation ability,increased β-galactosidase positive cell number,altered cell morphology,arrested cell cycle,increased LGALS3 expression,and decreased MYC expression.Mesenchymal stem cells from healthy donors showed similar changes after being cultured in acute myeloid leukemia conditioned medium.(4)The results show that biological function of mesenchymal stem cells is altered in the acute myeloid leukemia microenvironment,which provides new insights into the interaction between mesenchymal stem cells and tumor cells.

Objective:To evaluate the relationship between the development of postoperative delirium and sleep quality in elderly patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery.Methods:The medical records of elderly patients who underwent elective non-cardiac surgery from May 2011 to November 2013, aged ≥ 65 yr, with American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ, were collected. The patient′s age, gender, body mass index, years of education, preoperative comorbidities, and results of the last preoperative laboratory examination; sedatives given at the night before surgery, anesthesia methods, intraoperative medication, anesthesia time, surgical time, surgical type, whether it was a malignant tumor, and intraoperative intake and output; postoperative analgesia methods, subjective sleep quality scores and postoperative delirium were collected.The patients were divided into delirium group and non-delirium group according to whether delirium occurred on the morning of 1st postoperative day and later. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was used to determine the risk factors for postoperative delirium and evaluate the relationship between postoperative delirium and sleep quality.Results:A total of 700 patients were ultimately enrolled, and 111 patients developed delirium, with an incidence of 15.9%.The results of multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that poor sleep quality on the night of surgery, advanced age, previous stroke history and postoperative intensive care unit admission of patients with catheters were risk factors for postoperative delirium ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Poor sleep quality on the night of surgery, advanced age, previous stroke history and postoperative intensive care unit admission of patients with catheters are the risk factors for postoperative delirium.

Hair loss affects millions of people at some time in their life, and safe and efficient treatments for hair loss are a significant unmet medical need. We report that topical delivery of quercetin (Que) stimulates resting hair follicles to grow with rapid follicular keratinocyte proliferation and replenishes perifollicular microvasculature in mice. We construct dynamic single-cell transcriptome landscape over the course of hair regrowth and find that Que treatment stimulates the differentiation trajectory in the hair follicles and induces an angiogenic signature in dermal endothelial cells by activating HIF-1α in endothelial cells. Skin administration of a HIF-1α agonist partially recapitulates the pro-angiogenesis and hair-growing effects of Que. Together, these findings provide a molecular understanding for the efficacy of Que in hair regrowth, which underscores the translational potential of targeting the hair follicle niche as a strategy for regenerative medicine, and suggest a route of pharmacological intervention that may promote hair regrowth.

Objective:To explore the effect of combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine on prevention of chemotherapy-related anemia in malignant tumors.Methods:Seventy-nine patients with malignant tumors diagnosed in Zibo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected, and the patients were divided into experimental group (40 cases) and control group (39 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group received chemotherapy and the experimental group received chemotherapy and combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (Wuhong Tang combined with moxibustion). The hemoglobin (Hb) level, Karnofsky score and adverse effects were recorded before and on days 7, 14 and 21 after chemotherapy in the two groups.Results:The Hb level in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group [(117±28) g/L vs. (100±31) g/L] on day 21 after chemotherapy, and the difference was statistically significant ( t = -3.08, P = 0.030). The total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group [85% (34/40) vs. 66.7% (26/39)], but the difference was not statistically significant ( χ2 = 4.96, P = 0.084). Karnofsky scores were (77±9) points and (77±12) points before and on day 21 after treatment in the experimental group, with no statistical difference ( t = -0.50, P = 0.623); Karnofsky scores were (78±10) points and (67±9) points in the control group, with statistical difference ( t = 8.32, P < 0.001). There was no statistical difference in Karnofsky score before treatment between the two groups ( t = 1.85, P = 0.068), but the experimental group was higher than the control group on day 21 after treatment ( t = 4.88, P < 0.001). The difference in the incidence of nausea and vomiting between the two groups was not statistically significant ( P > 0.05), and no chemotherapy-related hepatic, renal or cardiac adverse reactions were observed in either group. Conclusions:Combined therapy of traditional Chinese medicine could effectively prevent chemotherapy-related anemia and improve the quality of life of patients.

BACKGROUND: Emergence delirium (ED) is a kind of delirium that occured in the immediate post-anesthesia period. Lower body temperature on post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) admission was an independent risk factor of ED. The present study was designed to investigate the association between intraoperative body temperature and ED in elderly patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. METHODS: This study was a secondary analysis of a prospective observational study. Taking baseline body temperature as a reference, intraoperative absolute and relative temperature changes were calculated. The relative change was defined as the amplitude between intraoperative lowest/highest temperature and baseline reference. ED was assessed with the confusion assessment method for intensive care unit at 10 and 30 min after PACU admission and before PACU discharge. RESULTS: A total of 874 patients were analyzed with a mean age of 71.8 ± 5.3 years. The incidence of ED was 38.4% (336/874). When taking 36.0°C, 35.5°C, and 35.0°C as thresholds, the incidences of absolute hypothermia were 76.7% (670/874), 38.4% (336/874), and 17.5% (153/874), respectively. In multivariable logistic regression analysis, absolute hypothermia (lowest value <35.5°C) and its cumulative duration were respectively associated with an increased risk of ED after adjusting for confounders including age, education, preoperative mild cognitive impairment, American Society of Anesthesiologists grade, duration of surgery, site of surgery, and pain intensity. Relative hypothermia (decrement >1.0°C from baseline) and its cumulative duration were also associated with an increased risk of ED, respectively. When taking the relative increment >0.5°C as a threshold, the incidence of relative hyperthermia was 21.7% (190/874) and it was associated with a decreased risk of ED after adjusting above confounders. CONCLUSIONS: In the present study, we found that intraoperative hypothermia, defined as either absolute or relative hypothermia, was associated with an increased risk of ED in elderly patients after non-cardiac surgery. Relative hyperthermia, but not absolute hyperthermia, was associated with a decreased risk of ED. REGISTRATION Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (No. ChiCTR-OOC-17012734).
