Objective: To analyze the incidence of statutory and keymonitored infectious diseases among school students in Beijing from 2016 to 2020, so as to provide a reference for developing the prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools. Methods: A descriptive statistical analysis was conducted on student cases aged 6-22 years in Beijing from 2016 to 2020 selected from the China Disease Surveillance Information Reporting Management System. Rate comparisons were performed using the 2 test and trend 2 test. Results: From 2016 to 2020, the overall incidence of statutory and keymonitored infectious diseases among students in Beijing showed an upward trend (χ2trend=582.42), the incidence rates of Category B and other infectious diseases exhibited a downward trend (χ2trend=82.71, 18.34), while Category C infectious diseases demonstrated a significant upward trend (χ2trend=911.75) (P<0.01). Among Category B infectious diseases, scarlet fever, bacillary dysentery, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS were predominant, with annual average incidence rates of 61.33/100 000, 35.38/100 000, 13.88/100 000, and 3.78/100 000, respectively. Except for HIV/AIDS, the reported incidence rates of other infectious diseases showed a declining trend. Among Category C infectious diseases, influenza, other infectious diarrhea, hand-foot-mouth disease, and mumps were predominant, with annual average incidence rates of 956.13/100 000, 114.39/100 000, 111.37/100 000, and 28.24/100 000, respectively. Influenza showed a significant upward trend (χ2trend=1 508.30), while the other infectious diarrhea, hand-foot-mouth disease, and mumps exhibited a downward trend (χ2trend=13.84, 25.78, 6.13) (P<0.05). Among other infectious diseases, varicella was predominant (χ2trend=17.47, P<0.05). Scarlet fever, influenza, hand-foot-mouth disease, and mumps had higher incidence rates among primary and middle school students; other infectious diarrhea and varicella were more prevalent among high school students; tuberculosis and bacillary dysentery were more common among high school and college students; and HIV/AIDS had higher incidence rates among college and high school students. Conclusion From 2016 to 2020, the incidence of Category B infectious diseases among students in Beijing showed a declining trend, while influenza, a Category C infectious disease, exhibited a significant upward trend.

Objective: To investigate the levels of knowledge and skills in infectious diseases among school doctors and health teachers in Beijing s primary and secondary schools in 2023, and analyze the influencing factors, so as to provide a reference basis for enhancing the professional competencies of school doctors and health teachers. Methods: From October to November 2023, a census method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey among all school doctors and health teachers in 16 districts of Beijing. Chi-square tests and multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used perform statistical analysis. Results: The awareness rate of infectious diseaserelated knowledge among school doctors and health teachers in primary and secondary schools in Beijing in 2023 ranged from 34.44 % to 98.57%, while the behavior formation rate ranged from 65.90% to 98.64%. The proportions of those with literacy in infectious disease knowledge and behavior among school doctors and health teachers were 82.76% and 85.70%, respectively. Multivariate Logistics regression analysis showed that being a full-time employee, having a bachelor s degree or above, and holding a senior professional title were positively correlated with having literacy in infectious disease knowledge ( OR =1.76, 2.57, 1.42 , P <0.01). Compared to medical professionals, those in education and other professions were negatively correlated with having literacy in infectious disease knowledge ( OR =0.37, 0.55, P <0.01). Being a full-time employee, being female, and age were positively correlated with having literacy in infectious disease behavior ( OR =1.66, 2.18, 1.02, P <0.01). Conclusions The level of health literacy for infectious diseases among school doctors in Beijing primary and secondary schools is relatively high. Targeted training on key professional knowledge and skills should be prioritized for individuals with deficiencies in infectious disease prevention and control.

ObjectiveTo investigate the impact of preoperative frailty on the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy. MethodsA retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 435 pancreatic cancer patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Preoperative frailty was assessed using the FRAIL questionnaire. Binary logistics regression analysis was employed to identify factors influencing frailty， and Cox regression analysis was used to evaluate the effect of frailty on survival. According to the demographic characteristics， subgroup analyses were performed on the effect of frailty on prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer with pancreaticoduodenectomy. ResultsAmong the 435 patients enrolled， 119 （27.4%） exhibited frailty， while 316 （72.6%） did not. Significant differences were observed between the two groups in various clinical parameters， including age， body mass index， American Society of Anesthesiologists （ASA） score， postoperative red blood cell transfusion， postoperative abdominal abscess， serum levels of glycoantigens 199， glycoantigens 125， and alpha fetoprotein， leukocyte count， neutrophil， high density lipoprotein （HDL） level， and pain intensity （P＜0.05）. Advanced age and an ASA score of Ⅲ were identified as risk factors for frailty， whereas HDL level was a protective factor. Non-frail patients had better postoperative survival times than frail patients. HDL was determined to be an independent protective factor for prognosis， while LDL was an independent risk factor. ConclusionsThis study demonstrates that preoperative frailty is a significant predictor of poor prognosis in pancreatic cancer patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy.These findings suggest that preoperative frailty assessment and targeted interventions to improve nutritional and metabolic status could potentially enhance postoperative survival and quality of life in pancreatic cancer patients.

Cardiac fibrosis is characterized by an elevated amount of extracellular matrix (ECM) within the heart. However, the persistence of cardiac fibrosis ultimately diminishes contractility and precipitates cardiac dysfunction. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are emerging as important regulators of cardiac fibrosis. Here, we elucidate the functional role of a specific circular RNA CELF1 in cardiac fibrosis and delineate a novel feedback loop mechanism. Functionally, circ-CELF1 was involved in enhancing fibrosis-related markers' expression and promoting the proliferation of cardiac fibroblasts (CFs), thereby exacerbating cardiac fibrosis. Mechanistically, circ-CELF1 reduced the ubiquitination-degradation rate of BRPF3, leading to an elevation of BRPF3 protein levels. Additionally, BRPF3 acted as a modular scaffold for the recruitment of histone acetyltransferase KAT7 to facilitate the induction of H3K14 acetylation within the promoters of the Celf1 gene. Thus, the transcription of Celf1 was dramatically activated, thereby inhibiting the subsequent response of their downstream target gene Smad7 expression to promote cardiac fibrosis. Moreover, Celf1 further promoted Celf1 pre-mRNA transcription and back-splicing, thereby establishing a feedback loop for circ-CELF1 production. Consequently, a novel feedback loop involving CELF1/circ-CELF1/BRPF3/KAT7 was established, suggesting that circ-CELF1 may serve as a potential novel therapeutic target for cardiac fibrosis.

Objective To explore the value of quantitative chest CT in early diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods The clinical data of 138 cases of COPD high-risk patients in Shanghai community and COPD high-risk respondents in outpatient clinic of Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University from September 20,2013 to May 20,2014 were retrospectively analyzed.All high-risk participants underwent pulmonary function and chest CT examination at baseline and 1 year later.Chest CT images were imported into quantitative CT analysis software to collect quantitative CT data.These participants were divided into COPD group(n=40)and non-COPD group(n=98)based on their lung functions after 1 year.The differences in baseline lung function and quantitative CT measurements between the two groups were compared.Binary logistic regression was used to analyze the predictors of COPD in high-risk individuals after 1 year of follow-up,and the efficacy of the logistic regression model was evaluated by ROC curve.Results There were no significant differences in gender,body mass index(BMI),the percentage value of forced expiratory volume in 1 second predicted(FEV1%pred),airway wall area ratio(WA%),total airway count(TAC),and airway wall thickness(WT)between the two groups at baseline.Compared to the non-COPD group,the square root of the tracheal wall area at 10 mm from the inner circumference of the airway(Pi10),(3.43[3.30,3.54]vs 3.23[3.15,3.36],P＜0.001),and the percentage area of low attenuation regions below ﹣950 HU(LAA%﹣950),(2.06[0.32,6.29]vs 0.57[0.25,1.89],P=0.015)were significantly higher in the COPD group.The mean lung density(MLD)in the COPD group was lower than that in the non-COPD group([﹣799.89±35.62]vs[﹣783.60±43.52],P=0.038).Binary logistic regression analysis indicated that age and Pi10 were risk factors for COPD(P＜0.05),with an area under the ROC curve of 0.791(95%CI 0.714-0.868).Conclusions In the COPD high-risk population with normal lung function,patients with elevated Pi10 and LAA%﹣950 have a higher incidence of COPD one year later,suggesting that quantitative chest CT measurements such as Pi10 and LAA%﹣950 can assist clinicians in identifying early-stage COPD.

Objective: To investigate the knowledge and practice levels on infectious disease among primary and middle school students, so as to provide a basis for targeted infectious disease in health education and infectious disease prevention and control in schools. Methods: The stratified cluster random sampling was used to select 25 670 primary and middle school students from 6 urban area and 10 suburban area in Beijing from October to November in 2020. A questionnaire survey on knowledge and practice of students related to infectious disease prevention and control was conducted using the questionnaire compiled by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Chisquare test was used for group comparison. Results: During the past two weeks, 8.64% students reported sickness absence. The awareness rates of knowledge on infectious disease were 37.64%-93.56%, and the formation rates of practice on infectious disease were between 62.22%-98.74%. The overall awareness rate of knowledge on infectious diseases was 58.58%, and the overall formation tate of practice on infectious disease prevention was 78.19%, with boys (54.14%,73.67%) lower than girls (63.25%,82.94%),urban areas (62.88%,79.12%) higher than suburbans areas (55.30%,77.48%), vocational high school studengs (43.51%,68.13%) lower than nonvocational high school students (elementary school: 56.05%, 85.19%; middle school: 61.66%, 78.63%; high school: 66.72%, 72.77% ), residential students (55.21%,71.59%) lower than nonresidential students (59.32%,79.64%), students living with parents (59.22%,79.30%) higher than those not with parents (54.60%,71.34%), and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=219.08, 148.95, 514.34, 26.44, 27.12; 323.26, 9.91, 536.11, 144.32, 114.11, P<0.05). Conclusions The levels of knowledge and practice regarding relative infectious disease among primary and middle school needs to be improved. Health education on the weak links in knowlege and practice of infectious disease prevention and control should be strengthened to reduce the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases.

Abstract Flood disasters are the common public health emergencies, mainly leading to environmental damage, water pollution, food pollution, vector breeding, infectious disease epidemic and other risk factors of sanitary and anti epidemic work. The guideline has been formulated with reference to the technical documents such as Guideline for Environmental Sanitation Disposal and Preventive Disinfection in Flooded Areas and Technical Proposal for Sanitary and Anti epidemic Measures after Flood Disasters, as well as the latest research progress at home and abroad. In order to guide the sanitary and anti epidemic measures in flooded areas, protect the health and safety of students and teachers and ensure the normal educational and teaching order, the guideline introduces the key measures that should be taken by schools, teachers and students in flood striken areas.

In view of the high incidence of malignant diseases such as malignant arrhythmias in the elderly population, accidental injuries such as falls, and the problem of no witnesses when danger occurs, the study developed a human vital signs and body posture monitoring and positioning alarm system. Through the collection and analysis of electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration (RESP) and acceleration (ACC) signals, the system monitors human vital signs and body posture in real time, automatically judges critical states such as malignant arrhythmias and accidental falls on the local device side, and then issues alarm information, opens the positioning function, and uploads physiological information and patient location information through 4G communication. Experiments have shown that the system can accurately determine the occurrence of ventricular fibrillation and falls, and issue position and alarm information.

Objective:To investigate the validity of AirwayEx@ software in fiberoptic bronchoscopy teaching of standardized residency training.Methods:A total of 36 residents from Department of Anesthesiology, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University were selected as objects and randomized into AirwayEx@ software teaching group (group A, n=18) and control group (group C, n=18). All residents had completed traditional learning course of fiberoptic bronchoscopy before training. Group A adopted AirwayEx@ software teaching method and group C took the traditional video teaching method. The training course lasted for two weeks in both groups, and the learning effects of two groups were compared. SPSS 19.0 was used to conduct t-test and Pearson chi-square test. Results:①After the training, the time required for successful tracheal intubation in group A was significantly reduced by 62.76%, the assessment results increased by 30.03%, and the success rate of one-time tracheal intubation was significantly increased by 61.11%. While, the time required for successful tracheal intubation in group C was significantly reduced by 27.96%, the assessment results increased by 10.51%, and the success rate of one-time tracheal intubation did not change obviously. The learning effect in group A was significantly superior to that in group C ( P<0.05). ②Compared with the group C, the group A teaching mode was significantly more interesting and effective ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with the traditional video teaching, the application of AirwayEx@ software in simulating the operational teaching of fiberoptic bronchoscopy show more interest and has better effect.

Objective: To understand the prevalence of infectious diseases in schools in Beijing in 2010-2017 academic years, and to provide the reference for the prevention and control of infectious diseases in schools. Methods: Based in Disease Surveillance Information System, students aged 6-22 years were selected in 2010-2017 academic year into this descriptive analysis, and the legal infectious diseases and the intensively monitored diseases of surveillance system in Beijing were included. Results: From 2010 to 2017 academic years, the incidence rate of notifiable and certain monitored infectious diseases declined from 1 213.48/100 000 to 749.30/100 000, the incidence rate of notifiable infectious diseases declined from 718.19/100 000 to 523.50/100 000. There was no report of category A. The top 4 infectious diseases of category B were scarlet fever(80.13/100 000), bacillary dysentery(74.42/100 000), tuberculosis(22.70/100 000) and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)(4.03/100 000). The top 4 diseases of category C were other infectious diarrhea(157.62/100 000), hand foot and mouth disease(100.55/100 000), influenza(51.39/100 000)and mumps(49.47/100 000). The other particular monitored infectious disease was mainly chicken pox(296.04/100 000). The prevalence of AIDS and influenza increased significantly in recent years. The main infectious diseases in primary and junior school students were scarlet fever, hand foot and mouth disease, influenza, and in high school and college students were AID, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis. Conclusion In the 2010-2017 academic year , the number and incidence of notifiable infectious diseases and particular monitored infectious diseases among students in Beijing showed an overall downward trend. The main diseases among students in Beijing are scarlet fever, bacillary dysentery, infectious diarrhea and chicken pox. Prevention and control of AIDS, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis in high school and college students should be paid special attention.
