Objective To evaluate the efficacy of narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB)phototherapy combined with enteric-coated thymopeptide in treatment of pityriasis rosea and its impacts on vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1)and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1).Methods Eighty patients with pityriasis rosea who were admitted to Haimen District People's Hospital from September 2022 to February 2024 were selected as research objects. They were divided into treatment group(n=41)and control group(n=39)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with NB-UVB phototherapy for one month, and the treatment group received NB-UVB phototherapy and enteric-coated thymopeptide for one month. The efficacy,rash-related time changes, symptom improvement,Pityriasis Rosea Severity Score(PRSS),VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 levels, and adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group. The skin rash came to a halt and disappeared in a shorter time in the treatment group than in the control group, while the time to itch cessation in the treatment group was significantly longer than that in the control group(all P<0.05).The PRSS scores and levels of VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group after treatment(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion NB-UVB phototherapy combined with enteric-coated thymopeptide can enhance the therapeutic effects on pityriasis rosea and reduce VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 levels.

【Objective】 To evaluate the efficacy of Nd: YAG laser therapy adjunct to subgingival scaling and root planning (SRP) for treating severe chronic periodontitis. 【Methods】 We selected patients with severe chronic periodontitis whose teeth were distributed in 4 quadrants of the mouth, with probing depth (PD) of 5-8 mm, attachment loss (AL)≥5 mm and bleeding on probing (BOP). These teeth were randomly divided into three groups: SRP group, SRP+L group (Nd: YAG laser after SRP treatment), and L+SRP group (SRP after Nd: YAG laser treatment). We recorded parameters including BOP, PD and AL of the three groups at baseline and 8 weeks after treatment and made statistical analysis. 【Results】 At 8 weeks after treatment, BOP, PD and AL of the three groups were improved than those in the baseline (P<0.05). BOP positive percentage of SRP+L group and L+SRP group significantly reduced compared with SRP group (P<0.05). PD of SRP+L group significantly decreased compared with SRP group and L+SRP group (P<0.05), for sites with PD=7 mm, SRP+L group was significantly decreased compared with SRP and L+SRP groups (P<0.05). AL of SRP group significantly decreased compared with SRP+L group and L+SRP group (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Severe periodontal treatment with Nd:YAG laser adjunct to SRP is more effective in reducing BOP and PD, and for deeper pockets PD is significantly decreased in SRP+L group, but there is no advantage in the improvement of AL.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the anti-apoptotic effect of curcumin on H 2O2-induced H 9c2 cardiomyocyte injury and the regulation of NF-κB signaling pathway. METHODS:H9c2 cardiomyocyte were randomly divided into normal control group , injury model group ,curcumin low-dose ,medium-dose and high-dose groups (25,50,100 μmol/L). Normal control group didn ’t received any intervention. The cells in injury model group were induced with 50 μmol/L H2O2 for 12 h to establish the injury model. The cells in curcumin groups were treated with relevant concentration of drugs for 24 h,and then induced with 50 μmol/L H2O2 for 12 h. After cultured for 24 h,survival rate and apoptotic rate of cells were measured by MTT method and TUNEL method ;SOD activity and MDA content were determined by WTS- 8 assay and color test ;relative fluorescence intensity of LC 3 positive expression was detected by immunofluorescence method ;mRNA expression of NF-κB p65 in cells was detected by real-time PCR ; Western blotting assay was used to detect the protein expression of NF-κB p65 and p-NF-κB p65 in cells. RESULTS :Compared with normal control group ,survival rate and SOD activity were decreased significantly in injury model group ,while apoptotic rate , MDA content ,relative fluorescence intensity of LC 3 positive expression ,mRNA expression of NF-κB,protein expression of NF-κ B p 65 and p-NF-κB p65 as well as p-NF-κB/NF-κB were increased significantly(P<0.05). Compared with injury model group , survival rates and SOD activities were increased significantly in curcumin groups ,while apoptotic rates ,MDA contents ,relative fluorescence intensities of LC 3 positive expression ,mRNA expression of LC 3 positive cells ,protein expression of NF-κB p65 and p-NF-κ B p65 as well as p-NF-κ B p65/NF-κ B p65 were decreased significantly (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS :Curcumin can increase the survival rate of H 2O2-induced H 9c2 cardiomyocyte injury ,decrease its apoptotic rate ,increase SOD activity and decrease MDA content in cardiomyocytes. Above effects may be related to the regulation of NF-κB signaling pathway.

Objective To evaluate the significance of fibreoptic bronchoscopy combined with percutaneous pneumocentesis in the diagnosis of peripheral pulmonary lesions. Methods 269 patients with peripheral pulmonary diseases were diagnosed with fibreoptic bronchoscopy biopsy combined with bronchial brush biopsy. In 89 out of the 269 patients no positive findings were obtained, because the lesions were located in the lung hilum, medial sphere or mesosphere, when X-ray guided fibreoptic bronchoscopy biopsy combined with bronchial brush biopsy were employed. In 77 out of the 89 patients positive fingings were still lacking,as their lesions were located in the mesosphere or peripheralzone, when X-ray guided percutaneous pneumocentesis biopsy was used.In 70 out of the 77 patients, positive fingings were lacking,as their lesions were just beneath the chest wall, when B-ultrasonography guided percutaneous automatic elastic biopsy was employed. Results 276 times of fibreoptic bronchoscopy biopsy combined with bronchial brush biopsy were performed in 269 patients, final diagnosis was obtained in 82 of them, with a diagnostic rate of 30.5%;94 times of X-ray guided fibreoptic bronchoscopy biopsy combined with bronchial brush biopsy were performed in 89 patients, and final diagnosis was obtained in 66 patients, with a diagnostic rate of 74.2%;85 times of X-ray guided percutaneous pneumocentesis biopsy were performed in 77 patients, final diagnosis was obtained in 52,with a diagnostic rate of 67.5%;79 times of B-ultrasonography guided percutaneous automatic elastic biopsy were performed in 70 patients, final diagnosis was obtained in 49,with a diagnostic rate of 70.0%.A final diagnosis was made in a total of 249 patients, with a diagnostic rate of 92.6% when 4 methods were used in combination. Conclusion Combined use of fibreoptic bronchoscopy with percutaneous pneumocentesis biopsy may remarkably raise the diagnostic rate in the patients with peripheral pulmonary diseases, and is worth to be recommended for general use in clinical work.
