Esophageal cancer is a prevalent malignant tumor of the digestive tract in China, and radical surgery remains the cornerstone of its comprehensive treatment. However, multifactorial challenges such as postoperative gastrointestinal tract reconstruction, traumatic stress, and tumor-related metabolic disturbances render esophageal cancer patients highly susceptible to malnutrition. Perioperative nutritional support therapy plays a crucial role in enhancing surgical safety, improving clinical outcomes, and elevating patients' quality of life by regulating metabolic homeostasis, preserving organ function, and optimizing the immune microenvironment. This article reviews the mechanisms underlying malnutrition in esophageal cancer, methods for nutritional status assessment, and precision intervention pathways based on multi-omics evaluations. The aim is to strengthen clinicians' awareness of standardized perioperative nutritional management for esophageal cancer patients and promote its clinical implementation, thereby facilitating postoperative recovery and improving long-term quality of life.

Digital technologies have become an integral part of complete denture restoration. With advancement in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), tools such as intraoral scanning, facial scanning, 3D printing, and numerical control machining are reshaping the workflow of complete denture restoration. Unlike conventional methods that rely heavily on clinical experience and manual techniques, digital technologies offer greater precision, predictability, and efficacy. They also streamline the process by reducing the number of patient visits and improving overall comfort. Despite these improvements, the clinical application of digital complete denture restoration still faces challenges that require further standardization. The major issues include appropriate case selection, establishing consistent digital workflows, and evaluating long-term outcomes. To address these challenges and provide clinical guidance for practitioners, this expert consensus outlines the principles, advantages, and limitations of digital complete denture technology. The aim of this review was to offer practical recommendations on indications, clinical procedures and precautions, evaluation metrics, and outcome assessment to support digital restoration of complete denture in clinical practice.

OBJECITVE:
To investigate the effectiveness of three-dimensional (3D) printing-assisted vascularized fibular graft for repairing metatarsal defects.
METHODS:
Between November 2021 and February 2024, 11 patients with varying degrees of metatarsal defects caused by trauma were treated. There were 10 males and 1 female, aged 22-67 years, with a mean age of 51.2 years. The defect locations were as follows: the first metatarsal in 4 cases, the fifth metatarsal in 2 cases, the first and the second metatarsals in 1 case, the first to third metatarsals in 1 case, the third and the fourth metatarsals in 1 case, the third to fifth metatarsals in 1 case, and the first to fifth metatarsals in 1 case. The preoperative American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) score was 67.0 (48.5, 72.5). Based on 3D-printed bilateral feet models and mirrored healthy-side foot arch angles for preoperative planning and design, the vascularized fibular graft was performed to repair the metatarsal defects. At last follow-up, the medial and lateral longitudinal arches of bilateral feet were measured on weight-bearing X-ray films, and functional assessment was conducted using the AOFAS score.
RESULTS:
All operations were successfully completed, with an operation time ranging from 180 to 465 minutes (mean, 246.8 minutes). All incisions healed by first intention, with no occurrence of osteomyelitis. All patients were followed up 6-22 months (mean, 10 months). X-ray film reviews showed bone graft healing in all cases, with a healing time of 3-6 months (mean, 5 months). All patients underwent internal fixator removal at 6-12 months after operation. At last follow-up, no significant difference was observed in the medial and lateral longitudinal arches between the healthy and affected feet ( P>0.05). The AOFAS score of the affected foot was 78.0 (73.5, 84.0), showing a significant improvement compared to the preoperative score ( P<0.05). The effectiveness was rated as excellent in 1 case, good in 7 cases, fair in 2 cases, and poor in 1 case. Linear scarring remained at the donor site, with no functional impairment in adjacent joint movement.
CONCLUSION
3D printing-assisted vascularized fibular graft for repairing metatarsal defects can effectively restore the physiological angle of the foot arch, facilitate the recovery of weight-bearing alignment, promote good bone healing, and yield satisfactory clinical outcomes.

The strategy of pelvic lymph node dissection in patients with localized intermediate- and high-risk prostate cancer(PCa)has been one of the research hotspots in recent years. This review synthesizes recent progress in clinical, diagnostic imaging and immunological aspects of pelvic lymph node dissection. It is found that the detection rate of metastatic lymph nodes in patients with localized intermediate-risk PCa is relatively low,and the survival benefit after dissection is not significant. PSMA PET/CT examination can be used instead of lymph node dissection for staging. Extended lymph node dissection in patients with localized high-risk PCa can achieve a higher detection rate of metastatic lymph nodes and possible survival benefits. However, excessive lymph node dissection can weaken the response ability to immunotherapy. The strategy for pelvic lymph node dissection in patients with localized intermediate-high-risk PCa needs further study.

Objective:To explore the movement patterns and factors influencing lung tumors tracked using the M6 cyberknife stereotactic radiotherapy(SRT)system and to provide a reference for the implementation of precise stereotactic radiotherapy for lung tumors.Method:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 29 patients with lung tumors who were treated using x-sight lung tracking technology and the M6 cyberknife SRT system at Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute&Hospital, from January 2022 to August 2024.The tumor location and volume, irradiation dose, isodose line, and number of divisions were recorded.Lung tumor location and SPSS 26.0 software were used to analyze the movement amplitude of tumors in the left and right(LFT/RGT,LR)directions,the anterior-posterior(ANT/POS,AP)direction,and the superior-inferior(SUP/INF,SI)direction.The results are expressed as the mean±standard deviation((x)±s)mm,and a t-test was used for inter-group comparisons.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the effects of factors such as age, gender, tumor location(upper and lower lungs),and tumor volume on the amplitudes of the lung tumor movements.Result:The average motion amplitudes in the LR direc-tions,AP direction, and SI direction of the tumor target areas were(3.5±1.8)mm,(5.3±1.7)mm,and(7.3±5.4)mm for the upper lung, based on 19 cases,and(3.1±1.6)mm,(4.5±2.2)mm,and(12.2±4.4)mm for the lower lung, based on 10 cases, respectively. There was a statistic-ally significant difference(P=0.015 3)in the amplitude of movements between the lower and upper lung tumors in the SI direction. The lung tumor movement amplitude in the SI direction was influenced by tumor location(P=0.035),and the movement amplitudes in the LR direc-tions and the AP direction were not related to factors such as gender, age, tumor location, and tumor volume. Conclusions:The lung tumor movement amplitudes for the different locations varied depending on the respiratory movement shown by the patient. In the SI direction, the movement amplitude of the lower lung tumors was greater than that of upper lung tumors, and this was due to tumor location effects. The movement amplitudes of the lower and upper lung tumors were similar in the LR directions and AP directions.Furthermore, movement amplitude was not affected by gender, age, tumor location, and tumor volume.
