Quantitative CT (QCT) is a method of measuring bone mineral density (BMD) of human based on a CT machine,calibrated by QCT body model and analyzed by professional software.Compared with dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry,QCT can not only assess the cortical and cancellous BMD but also exclude the influences of osteophytes and aortic/vascular calcification,thus being capable of accurately reflecting patients' bone mass.In recent years,increasing studies on QCT and osteoporosis (OP) have been carried out,and the application of QCT in the diagnosis of OP,evaluation of vertebral bone conditions,prediction of fracture risks,and assessment of anti-OP treatment is garnering increasing attention from researchers at home and abroad.This article reviews the research progress in this field,aiming to provide a reference for the research on QCT in the diagnosis and treatment of OP.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of virtual preoperative planning and 3D-printed templates for pre-contoured plates for the treatment of posterior wall fractures of the acetabulum.Methods A retrospective analysis of 29 patients with posterior acetabular wall fractures treated between August 2017 and March 2021 were divided into 2 groups based on whether to use preoperative virtual planning and 3D printed template.In 3D-printing group,there were 14 patients,includ-ing 10 males and 4 females;aged from 21 to 53 years old;CT-based virtual surgical planning was done using Mimics and 3-Matic software and 3D-printed templates for pre-contoured plates were adopted.In conventional group,there were 15 patients,including 10 males and 5 females;aged from 19 to 55 years old;conventional method of intra-operative contouring to adapt the plate to the fracture region was adopted.Blood loss,surgical time,radiographic quality of reduction,and hip function were compared between groups.Results The difference in operation time and intraoperative blood loss was significant(P＜0.05).Twenty-three patients were followed up from 12 to 30 months,and the fractures in both groups healed with a healing time of 3 to 6 months.At the last follow-up,the Merle d'Aubign-Postel score of the 3D printed group was lower than that of the conven-tional group(P＜0.05),with no significant differences in walking ability,hip mobility and total score(P＞0.05).In 3D printing group,6 cases were excellent,5 cases were good,3 cases were fair;in conventional group,5 cases were excellent,5 cases were good,4 cases were fair,1 case was worse;no significant difference between two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Virtual preopera-tive planning and 3D-printed templates for pre-contoured plates can reduce operative time and the blood loss of surgery,im-prove the quality of reduction.This method is efficient,accurate and reliable to treat acetabular posterior wall fractures.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the short-term clinical effect of the computer virtual technique combined with pelvic reduction frame in the treatment of complex pelvic fractures. METHODS: Thirty patients with Tile C pelvic fractures treated by percutaneous minimally invasive pelvic reduction frame from April 2018 to April 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, including 21 males and 9 females, aged from 19 to 57 (39.40±9.85) years old. The patient's pelvic CT DICOM data were imported into Mimics software to reconstruct the virtual fracture model. Virtual reduction and nail placement were carried out on the fracture model, and then simulated fluoroscopy was carried out to record the ideal fluoroscopy orientation and angle to guide the correct fluoroscopy during operation. The operation time, fluoroscopy times and intraoperative blood loss were recorded. The quality of fracture reduction was evaluated by Matta image score standard, and the postoperative function was evaluated by Majeed function score standard. RESULTS: All 30 patients achieved closed reduction and percutaneous screw fixation. According to Matta score, the excellent and good rate of fracture reduction was 93.3%(28/30). A total of 67 channel screws were inserted, and the excellent and good rate was 98.5%(66/67). The operation time was (173.54±79.31) min, fluoroscopy time was (90.81±41.11) times, intraoperative blood loss was (81.21±43.97) ml. All incisions healed at one stage without broken nails or re-displacement of fractures. All patients were followed up for 12 months. At the final follow-up, Majeed function score was 73 to 94(85.66±5.33) scores. CONCLUSION Computer virtual technology combined with pelvic reduction frame could rapidly, accurately and safely reduce and fix unstable pelvic fractures. Computer virtualization could help surgeons to recognition and understanding pelvic fractures, pelvic reduction frame could improve the surgeon's ability to manage complex and unstable pelvic injuries.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinical effect under highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART) in AIDS patients and for improving the curative effect and prognosis.

METHODSEpidemiological method was used from five aspects to describe the post-treatment clinical symptoms of 181 AIDS patients in Suizhou, and to evaluate the change of virus load and immune function of 79 AIDS patients. Data was doubly recorded by Epi Data and database was set up by SPSS 13.0 for analysis.

RESULTSThe effective powers of anomal-fever, cough, diarrhoea, lymphadenectasis, weight drop, erythra, mycotic infection were 81.39%, 85.00%, 84.62%, 81.89%, 82.86%, 66.07% and 45.45% respectively. CD4+ T lymphocyte count rose obviously after treatment, with an averag of 276 x 10(6) cells/ml (65 x 10(6)-824 x 10(6) cells/ml), an 129 x 10(6) cells/ml increase in three months and was 294 x 10(6) cells/ml (102 x 10(6)-750 x 10(6) cells/ml) in six months. The count change of CD4+ T lymphocyte between 3 months and 6 months did not show sigificant difference. The number of deaths among drug withdrawals was 14, with a case fatality rate as 29.79%; while the number of deaths among non-drug withdrawals was 3, with the case fatality rate as 2.24%.

CONCLUSIONResults through this study showed that HAART could obviously improve the clinical symptom of AIDS patients, and to increase the number of virus load. Improving the compliance could also reduce the case fatality rate.

1,3-propanediol (1,3-PD) is an important material for chemical industry, therefore, there is much interest in the production of 1,3-PD. The gene dhaT encoding 1, 3-propanediol dehydrogenase ( PDOR) of Citrobacter freundii was amplified by PCR. Sequence analysis of the similarity at the nucleotide and amino acid level between the gene encoding C. freundii PDOR and that of C. freundii ( U09771 ) were 78% and 90% , respectively. The recombinant plasmid pSE-dhaT was constructed by inserting dhaT gene into expression vector pSE380 and then transformed E. coli JM109. The recombinant strain was induced by IPTG to express dhaT. Further more the recombinant enzyme was purifed from recombinant E. coli by Ni-nitrilotriacetate affinity chromatography followed by Sephacral S-300 gel filtration. A single obvious protein about 42kDa could be obtained by the sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of recombinant enzyme. The purified enzyme was used to determined enzyme property on the substrate of propionaldehyde and 1, 3-PD. The optimal temperature and optimal pH of the purified enzyme were 37℃, 8.0 for reduction and 25℃, 10. 5 for oxidation, respectively; and the kinetic property of PDOR about Km and V max were 10. 05mmol/L, 37. 27?mol/min/mg for propionaldehyde and 1. 28mmol/L, 25. 55?mol/min/mg for 1,3-PD, respectively; The deduced dhaT gene product (388 amino acids) showed a specific reduction activity of 49. 50U/mg and oxidation activity of 79. 92U/ mg. There also have a putative iron-binding motif ( G-XX-H-X-X-A-H-X-X-G-X-X-X-X-X-P-H-G) as a fingerprint pattern in the recombinant enzyme, the motif is fully conserved among these 1, 3-propanediol dehydrogenase. It is beneficial to the researches of high producing 1, 3-propanediol by gene engineering strain.
