Objective To analyze the effects of different anastomotic methods on flap survival rate and wound healing factors of patients with transplantation of superficial branch perforator flap of superficial circumflex iliac artery(SCIA).Methods A total of 100 patients with skin defects of limbs admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to August 2022 were selected and divided into end-to-end anastomosis group(56 cases)and end-to-side anastomosis group(44 cases)according to different anastomosis methods.In the end-to-end anastomosis group,the end of the flap artery was anastomosed with the end of the aortic branch in the affected area.In the end-to-side anastomosis group,the end of recipient flap artery was anastomosed with the side of aorta.Patients in both groups were followed up for 6 to 12 months,the arterial caliber,lateral caliber and anastomosis time were compared between the two groups.The survival of the flap,the occurrence of venous crisis,the shape and function of the flap and donor area were observed.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the arterial caliber or lateral caliber of patients between the two groups(P>0.05).The anastomosis time of patients in the end-to-end anastomosis group was significantly shorter than that in the end-to-side anastomosis group(P<0.05).All 56 cases in the end-to-end anastomosis group survived.In the end-to-side anastomosis group,venous crisis occurred in 4 cases,with venous thrombosis,2 cases survived after re-anastomosis,2 cases were changed to abdominal pedicled flap when venous crisis occurred again,the appearance and function of the flap and donor area were satisfactory 6 months to 1 year after surgery(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in color,thickness,vascular distribution or flexibility of donor area of patients between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in pain,appearance,vitality and recreation of recipient area of patients between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The application of different arterial anastomosis methods in the transplantation of superficial branch perforator flap of SCIA for the treatment of skin and soft tissue defects of limbs is safe and reliable,the postoperative survival of the flap is good,the healing is not affected by the anastomosis method,and the appearance of the affected area is satisfactory,which is worthy of clinical promotion.

The present study is to identify the effect of spinopelvic parameters on FI of paraspinal muscle (PSM) and psoas major muscle (PMM) in patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis. Methods: A single-center, retrospective cross-sectional study of 160 patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) and lumbar stenosis (LSS) who had lateral full-spine x-ray and lumbar spine magnetic resonance imaging was conducted. PSM and PMM FIs were defined as the ratio of fat to its muscle cross-sectional area. The FIs were compared among patients with different pelvic tilt (PT) and pelvic incidence (PI), respectively. Results: The PSM FI correlated significantly with pelvic parameters in DLS patients, but not in LSS patients. The PSM FI in pelvic retroversion (PT > 25°) was 0.54 ± 0.13, which was significantly higher in DLS patients than in normal pelvis (0.41 ± 0.14) and pelvic anteversion (PT < 5°) (0.34 ± 0.12). The PSM FI of DLS patients with large PI ( > 60°) was 0.50 ± 0.13, which was higher than those with small ( < 45°) and normal PI (0.37 ± 0.11 and 0.36 ± 0.13). However, the PSM FI of LSS patients didn’t change significantly with PT or PI. Moreover, the PMM FI was about 0.10–0.15, which was significantly lower than the PSM FI, and changed with PT and PI in a similar way of PSM FI with much less in magnitude. Conclusion FI of the PSMs increased with greater pelvic retroversion or larger pelvic incidence in DLS patients, but not in LSS patients.

Public health is a public service that is related to the health of the general public in a country or region.This article traces back to 1911-2023 and summarizes the major public health events during multiple periods,inclu-ding the beginning of public health during the Yale period,the initial establishment of Xiangya,and the establish-ment of the Faculty of Health of Hunan Medical College.It is the first systematic compilation of the history of Xiangya public health discipline.The milestones in the history of Xiangya public health discipline are as follows:(1)Dr.Yan Fuqing was the founder of health and public health around the establishment of Xiangya,and is the first person to propose the term'public health'.(2)The course of Health and Public Health in Xiangya began in 1916 and was offered in the academic year of 1918-1919.(3)Until the establishment of the Faculty of Health in 1975,the course of Health and Public Health was compulsory for Xiangya students.(4)In 1988,the Faculty of Health was renamed as the Faculty of Preventive Medicine,and the Institute of Preventive Medicine was established;In 1995,it was renamed as the School of Public Health of Hunan Medical University.In April 2000,after the merger and es-tablishment of Central South University,it was renamed as the School of Public Health of Central South University;In 2015,it was renamed as Xiangya School of Public Health of Central South University.Xiangya Public Health has been involved in almost all major public health work in China since its beginning,adhering to the principle of preven-tion first,promoting and serving people's health.

Objective To explore the effect and mechanism of hydroxysafflor yellow A(HSYA)on autophagy in bEnd.3 cells after oxygen-glucose deprivation(OGD).Methods The bEnd.3 cells were divided into normal group(conventional culture),model group(OGD model),HSYA group(OGD model+75 μmol·L-1 HSYA),3-methyladenine(3MA)group(5 mmol·L-1 3MA+OGD model)and 3 MA+HSYA group(5 mmol·L-1 3 MA+OGD model+75 μmol·L-1 HSYA).The level of apoptosis was determined by TUNEL fluorescence staining;Western blot was used to detect the expression of autophagy,blood brain barrier(BBB)related proteins;real time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction method for determining the expression of sirtuin-1(SIRT1)and forkhead box protein O3a(FOXO3A)mRNA.Results In the normal group,model group,HSYA group,3MA group and 3MA+HSYA group,the positive cells selected for TUNEL staining were 5.00±1.00,28.00±2.00,21.00±3.00,35.33±2.51 and 29.67±2.52;the expression levels of microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3-Ⅱ/-Ⅰ(LC3-Ⅱ/-Ⅰ)were 0.90±0.20,1.34±0.10,1.95±0.14,0.76±0.15 and 1.14±0.09;sequestosome 1(P62)were 0.99±0.02,0.60±0.02,0.38±0.01,0.67±0.04 and 0.54±0.01;occludin were 1.39±0.17,0.62±0.15,1.00±0.09,0.40±0.13 and 0.80±0.15;zonula occludens-1(ZO-1)were 1.63±0.20,0.64±0.06,0.98±0.14,0.37±0.14 and 0.87±0.04;SIRT1 mRNA were 1.00±0.00,0.75±0.07,1.69±0.09,0.31±0.02 and 0.56±0.01;FOXO3A mRNA were 1.00±0.00,0.80±0.05,1.47±0.09,0.40±0.01 and 0.62±0.09,respectively.Significant differences were found between model group and normal group,HSYA group and model group,3MA+HSYA group and 3MA group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01,P＜0.001).Conclusion HSYA may enhance autophagy levels in bEnd.3 cells after OGD through the SIRT1/FOXO3A pathway,inhibit cell apoptosis and alleviate BBB damage.
