Toxoplasma gondii is an intracellular protozoan pathogen with a global distribution,and dogs are considered a potential risk factor for human toxoplasmosis.This study was aimed at systematically analyzing the epidemiological characteris-tics of canine T.gondii infection in China from 1987 to 2023,to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of T.gondii in the country.Epidemiological data on canine T.gondii infections in China from 1987 to 2023 were retrieved from PubMed,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,and Baidu Scholar.A database was established with Excel,and the data were visualized with ArcGIS 10.2 software.Statistical analysis was performed in SPSS 26.0 software,and group differences were analyzed with the X2 test.A P-value of＜0.05 was considered statistically significant.From 1987 to 2023,the overall seroprevalence of T.gondii antibodies in dogs in China remained stable,and the overall sero-prevalence rate was 13.97％.Yunnan Province had the highest seroprevalence,at 27.65％,whereas Shaanxi Province had the lowest seroprevalence,at 0.56％.Significant differences were observed among provinces(P＜0.05).Epidemiological data on canine T.gondii infections were not available for some regions.The seroprevalence in southwestern China was significantly higher than that in other regions(P＜0.05).A comparison of the seroprevalence between 1987-2004 and 2005-2023 revealed significant differences(P＜0.05).Canine T.gondii infection is widespread in China and shows a stable epidemic cycle.Appro-priate prevention and control measures should be implemented,along with strengthened surveillance of T.gondii outbreaks.Public education on the prevention and control of toxoplasmosis should be enhanced to decrease transmission risk and safeguard public health.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the association between body mass index (BMI) and mortality based on the 10-year population-based multicenter prospective study. METHODS: A general population-based multicenter prospective study was conducted at four sites in rural China between 2013 and 2023. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards models and restricted cubic spline analyses were used to assess the association between BMI and mortality. Stratified analyses were performed based on the individual characteristics of the participants. RESULTS: Overall, 19,107 participants with a sum of 163,095 person-years were included and 1,910 participants died. The underweight (< 18.5 kg/m ²) presented an increase in all-cause mortality (adjusted hazards ratio [ aHR] = 2.00, 95% confidence interval [ CI]: 1.66-2.41), while overweight (≥ 24.0 to < 28.0 kg/m ²) and obesity (≥ 28.0 kg/m ²) presented a decrease with an aHR of 0.61 (95% CI: 0.52-0.73) and 0.51 (95% CI: 0.37-0.70), respectively. Overweight ( aHR = 0.76, 95% CI: 0.67-0.86) and mild obesity ( aHR = 0.72, 95% CI: 0.59-0.87) had a positive impact on mortality in people older than 60 years. All-cause mortality decreased rapidly until reaching a BMI of 25.7 kg/m ² ( aHR = 0.95, 95% CI: 0.92-0.98) and increased slightly above that value, indicating a U-shaped association. The beneficial impact of being overweight on mortality was robust in most subgroups and sensitivity analyses. CONCLUSION This study provides additional evidence that overweight and mild obesity may be inversely related to the risk of death in individuals older than 60 years. Therefore, it is essential to consider age differences when formulating health and weight management strategies.

Objective To understand the current status of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) among operating room doctors,thereby analyzing its effect on mental health. Methods A total of 1013 doctors in the operating rooms of 30 hospitals in 24 provinces from September to December 2022 were selected by cross-sectional survey method. The domestic musculoskeletal disease questionnaire was used to investigate the occurrence of WMSDs in operating room doctors,the symptom check list-90 (SCL-90) was used to evaluate the psychological status of operating room doctors,the relationship between WMSDs related items and SCL-90 scores was analyzed,the correla-tion between the rest time of each shift and SCL-90 factors was analyzed by Pearson method,and the influencing factors of mental health of operating room doctors were analyzed by multivariate Logistic regression.Results A total of 1100 questionnaires were distributed and 1013 valid questionnaires were recovered,with an effective rate of 92.10％. The incidence of WMSDs among operating room doctors in the past 1 year was 95.06％. The body parts with incidences of WMSDs from high to low were as follows:waist (36.92％),neck (35.54％),shoulder (33.56％),and upper back (32.77％). In the past 1 year,the SCL-90 scores and total scores of patients with musculoskeletal pain in various body parts,keeping the same back posture for a long time while work,bending the back at the same time of turning frequently while working,bowing the head for a long time while working,and bending the knee for a long time while working were significantly higher than those who were without the above conditions (P<0.05). Shorter rest time of each shift and longer periods of keeping the same back posture were the risk factors for the development of mental illness in operating room doctors. Conclusion The incidence of WMSDs in operating room doctors is high,which can influence the mental health of operating room doctors. Therefore,operating room doctors should avoid keeping the same back posture for a long time,bending the back at the same time of turning frequently,bowing the head for a long time,and bending the knee for a long time while working,and increase the rest time of each shift,in order to improve the mental condition of the operating room doctors.

Objective:To construct a key item checklist for the Mini-HTA report specification,providing scientific guidance for drafting each section of Mini-HTA research reports,enhancing their standardization,scientific rigor,and completeness,thereby improving the efficiency and quality of health decision-making.Methods:Based on preliminary literature review and qualitative systematic review,a pool of problem items for the Mini-HTA report specification was formed.Delphi questionnaires were distributed,and the Delphi technique was employed through two rounds of expert consultation to optimize and select key items.Results:Through two rounds of Delphi expert consultation,the initial Mini-HTA report specification item checklist was screened,integrated,and supplemented.A finalized key item checklist was constructed,comprising 8 first-level items(Title,Abstract,Introduction,Methods,Results,Discussion,Conclusion,and Other Relevant Information)and 48 second-level items.Conclusion:The constructed key item checklist for the Mini-HTA report specification provides scientific guidance for drafting Mini-HTA research reports.It helps enhance the standardization and transparency of the assessment process and the reliability of results,thereby optimizing the efficiency and quality of health decision-making.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether the combination of chemotherapy with staged Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) therapy could enhance health-related quality of life (QoL) in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients and prolong the time before deterioration of lung cancer symptoms, in comparison to chemotherapy alone. METHODS: A prospective, double-blind, randomized, controlled trial was conducted from December 14, 2017 to August 28, 2020. A total of 180 patients with stage I B-IIIA NSCLC from 5 hospitals in Shanghai were randomly divided into chemotherapy combined with CHM (chemo+CHM) group (120 cases) or chemotherapy combined with placebo (chemo+placebo) group (60 cases) using stratified blocking randomization. The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality-of-Life-Core 30 Scale (QLQ-C30) was used to evaluate the patient-reported outcomes (PROs) during postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with early-stage NSCLC. Adverse events (AEs) were assessed in the safety analysis. RESULTS: Out of the total 180 patients, 173 patients (116 in the chemo+CHM group and 57 in the chemo+placebo group) were included in the PRO analyses. The initial mean QLQ-C30 Global Health Status (GHS)/QoL scores at baseline were 57.16 ± 1.64 and 57.67 ± 2.25 for the two respective groups (P>0.05). Compared with baseline, the chemo+CHM group had an improvement in EORTC QLQ-C30 GHS/QoL score at week 18 [least squares mean (LSM) change 17.83, 95% confidence interval (CI) 14.29 to 21.38]. Conversely, the chemo+placebo group had a decrease in the score (LSM change -13.67, 95% CI -22.70 to -4.63). A significant between-group difference in the LSM GHS/QoL score was observed, amounting to 31.63 points (95% CI 25.61 to 37.64, P<0.001). The similar trends were observed in physical functioning, fatigue and appetite loss. At week 18, patients in the chemo+CHM group had a higher proportion of improvement or stabilization in GHS/QoL functional and symptom scores compared to chemo+placebo group (P<0.001). The median time to deterioration was longer in the chemo+CHM group for GHS/QoL score [hazard ratio (HR)=0.33, 95% CI 0.23 to 0.48, P<0.0010], physical functioning (HR=0.43, 95% CI 0.25 to 0.75, P=0.0005), fatigue (HR=0.47, 95% CI 0.30 to 0.72, P<0.0001) and appetite loss (HR=0.65, 95% CI 0.42 to 1.00, P=0.0215). The incidence of AEs was lower in the chemo+CHM group than in the chemo+placebo group (9.83% vs. 15.79%, P=0.52). CONCLUSION The staged CHM therapy could help improve the PROs of postoperative patients with early-stage NSCLC during adjuvant chemotherapy, which is worthy of further clinical research. In the process of seeking new strategies to improve the efficacy of antidepressants,traditional Chinese medicine inter-vention has gradually revealed its unique prevention and treat-ment advantages.The dopamine reward system is closely in-volved in the pathological occurrence and development of depres-sion.Currently,research has mostly focused on the functional mechanism of a specific nucleus in the dopamine reward system,and there is less research focused on the functional mechanism of the neural circuit.In the current micro research on reward cir-cuits,the association between abnormal reward circuits and neg-ative emotions such as anxiety and depression has been widely recognized.Traditional Chinese medicine intervention can exert antidepressant effects by influencing reward circuits.This article provides a review on the loop mechanism of dopamine reward system involvement in depression and research on traditional Chinese medicine intervention.

Objective To explore the clinical value of anti-Müllerian hormone(AMH)to optimize endocrine therapy for peri-menopausal early breast cancer.Methods Two hundred and four patients of pre-menopausal breast cancer aged 45-55 years old between 2020 and 2023 were enrolled,and AMH≤0.1 ng/mL was considered as cut-off value for menopause.Switching from selective estrogen receptor modulator(SERM)to aromatase inhibitor aromatase inhibitor(AI)and initial endocrine therapy regimens were based on AMH,follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and estradiol(E2).Results Pre-chemotherapy AMH level was significantly negatively correlated with FSH level(P<0.001).Among 100 cases who were amenorrhea for one year during SERM treatment,42 cases did not have AMH testing.Fourteen out of the 42 cases switched to AI within one year,and ovarian function recovery(OFR)occurred in 2 cases after AI switching.Fifteen cases with AMH>0.1 ng/mL did not switch to AI within one year.Forty among 43 cases with AMH≤0.1 ng/mL switched to AI,after a significantly shorter median SERM treatment duration(3.15 months vs.8.14 months,P<0.001)and a significantly lower OFR rate(0 vs.12.5%,P=0.023)compared with those who did not test AMH but switched to AI.AMH≤0.1 ng/mL was an independent risk factor of transition to menopause shortly in peri-menopausal patients(OR=35.857,P<0.001).Among 104 cases with AMH tested before adjuvant chemotherapy,69 cases had AMH>0.1 ng/mL.Thirty-one out of the 69 cases were treated with ovarian function suppression(OFS)initially and 38 with SERM initially.Thirty-five cases with AMH≤0.1 ng/mL were all treated with SERM initially,with a higher rate of switching to AI(71.4%vs.23.7%,P<0.001)and a shorter SERM treatment duration(6.52 months vs.13.56 months,P=0.016)compared with the 38 cases(AMH>0.1 ng/mL)treated initially with SERM.After a median 30-month follow-up,no recurrence was observed in these thirty-five cases treated with SERM initially and AMH≤0.1 ng/mL,just like in OFS group.And they had a tendency of improved survival outcome compared with those treated with SERM initially and AMH>0.1 ng/mL(Log Rank P=0.076).Conclusion AMH could evaluate and predict menopause accurately,resulting in optimizing endocrine therapy for peri-menopausal patients effectively and safely.
