Objective:To provide data support for optimizing aeromedical support to transporter flying personnel by comparing and analyzing the composition and variation of the medical grounding disease spectrum of them. Methods:The health profile data of transporter flying personnel who were grounded by the assessment in Air Force Medical Center from January 1, 2003, to December 31, 2020 were collected. They were grouped by grounded year (2003—2008, 2009—2014 and 2015—2020) and by post (pilot and air combat personnel). The age at the time of grounding, flying hours and grounding disease spectrum were statistically analyzed. Results:A total of 186 transporter flying personnel were enrolled, including 135 pilots (72.58%) and 51 air combat personnel (27.42%). The median grounding age of pilots was 34.0 (31.5, 39.0) years old, and the median grounding age of air combat crew was 43.0 (41.0, 46.0) years old. The top 4 system diseases in all flight grounding personnel were neurological diseases (21.51%), mental and psychiatric disorders (16.67%), cardiovascular system diseases (13.98%) and motion system diseases (10.75%). The difference in the component ratio of grounding diseases between the pilots and air combat personnel was significant ( P=0.039), and the grounding ratio of digestive system diseases in pilots was lower than that of air combat personnel ( χ2=5.40, P=0.020). The grounding ratio of motion system diseases in 2009—2014 group was lower than that of 2003—2009 group ( χ2=6.70, P=0.010). The grounding ratios of mental and psychiatric disorders in 2009—2014 and 2015—2020 group were higher than those of 2003—2008 group, with significant differences ( χ2=8.80, 7.33, P=0.005, 0.007). There were 76 types of diseases that caused transporter flying personnel grounding, and the top 3 diseases were hypertension, vascular headaches and lumbar disc herniation. Conclusions:The neurological diseases, mental and psychiatric disorders, cardiovascular system diseases and motion system diseases contribute most to the grounding of transporter flying personnel while the neurological diseases and mental and psychiatric disorders have resulted more and more groundings. As the higher flying training strength and time endurance required, the further disease spectrum analysis, as well as the corresponding prevention and treatment should be strengthened.

Journal of International Oncology 2023;50(8):470-474
Objective:To explore the expression and clinical significance of ASB6 in colorectal cancer tissue. Methods:The cancer tissues and para-carcinoma tissues were selected from 106 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Third Affiliated Hospital of Shandong First Medical University from January 2015 to January 2018. Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression level of ASB6 protein in tissues, and the correlation between its expression and clinical pathological characteristics of patients was analyzed. At the same time, the expression of ASB6 mRNA in colorectal cancer tissues and para-carcinoma tissues was detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). The Kaplan-Meier survival analysis method was used to explore the relationship between the expression of ASB6 and prognosis in colorectal cancer patients. The Cox regression model was used to analyze the independent prognostic factors of colorectal cancer patients. Results:The high expression rate of ASB6 in colorectal cancer tissues (67.9%, 72/106) was significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues (10.4%, 11/106, χ2=73.67, P<0.001). Further analysis showed that the expression of ASB6 protein was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis ( χ2=7.34, P=0.007) and TNM stage ( χ2=16.85, P<0.001). There was no significant correlation between the expression of ASB6 protein and age ( χ2=0.42, P=0.516), sex ( χ2=0.76, P=0.385), tumor size ( χ2=0.91, P=0.341), tumor location ( χ2=2.29, P=0.130), histological classification ( χ2<0.01, P>0.999), differentiation degree ( χ2=2.54, P=0.111) and distant metastasis ( χ2=3.38, P=0.066). qRT-PCR results showed that the expression level of ASB6 mRNA in colorectal cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues (5.37±0.13 vs. 3.39±0.09, t=-12.48, P<0.001). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the overall 5-year survival rates of patients in the ASB6 high expression group (72 cases) and the ASB6 low expression group (34 cases) were 45.8% and 73.5%, respectively ( χ2=6.82, P=0.009). Univariate survival analysis found that ASB6 protein expression ( HR=3.09, 95% CI: 1.25-7.65, P=0.015), lymph node metastasis ( HR=0.41, 95% CI: 0.21-0.82, P=0.011), distant metastasis ( HR=0.20, 95% CI: 0.10-0.42, P<0.001), and TNM stage ( HR=0.10, 95% CI: 0.03-0.32, P<0.001) were prognostic factors, while multivariate Cox survival analysis found that distant metastasis ( HR=0.22, 95% CI: 0.09-0.50, P<0.001) and TNM stage ( HR=0.25, 95% CI: 0.11-0.58, P<0.001) were independent prognostic factors. Conclusion:The expression of ASB6 in colorectal cancer tissues is significantly higher than that in para-carcinoma tissues, and the prognosis of patients with high expression of ASB6 is significantly worse than that of patients with low expression of ASB6. ASB6 can be used as an important indicator for early monitoring and postoperative survival assessment of colorectal cancer patients in the future.

Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2021;36(6):E862-E868
Objective To investigate the effects of non-Newtonian properties on hemodynamic characteristics of Fontan procedure in computational simulation. Methods A Fontan vascular model was reconstructed based on patient-specific medical images. The boundary conditions were set according to velocity profiles measured by real-time echocardiography. The Newtonian model and two non-Newtonian (Casson and Carreau) models were applied to analyze the hemodynamic parameters, including flow ratio (FR), energy loss (EL), wall shear stress (WSS) as well as non-Newtonian importance factor, so as to compare flow differences between the Newtonian model and non-Newtonian models. Results The rheological models had small effects on the FR. The EL of non-Newtonian models was higher than that of the Newtonian model, and the EL of Casson model was the highest. Flow recirculation and flow disturbance accompanied with low WSS were observed in inferior vena cava (IVC). At low inflow velocity, flow disturbance in IVC of Newtonian model was more obvious. The calculations of non-Newtonian importance factor suggested significant non-Newtonian viscosity in IVC. Conclusions Non-Newtonian viscosity is significant in IVC where low velocity and flow recirculation are observed. Non-Newtonian properties of the blood should be considered in patient-specific hemodynamic simulation of Fontan procedure.
