Saponins associated with Panax notoginseng (P. notoginseng) demonstrate significant therapeutic efficacy across multiple diseases. However, certain high-yield saponins face limited clinical applications due to their reduced pharmacological efficacy. This study synthesized and evaluated 36 saponin-1,2,3-triazole derivatives of ginsenosides Rg1/Rb1 and notoginsenoside R1 for anti-adipogenesis activity in vitro. The research revealed that the ginsenosides Rg1-1,2,3-triazole derivative a17 demonstrates superior adipogenesis inhibitory effects. Structure-activity relationships (SARs) analysis indicates that incorporating an amidyl-substituted 1,2,3-triazole into the saponin side chain via Click reaction enhances anti-adipogenesis activity. Additionally, several other derivatives exhibit general adipogenesis inhibition. Compound a17 demonstrated enhanced potency compared to the parent ginsenoside Rg1. Mechanistic investigations revealed that a17 exhibits dose-dependent inhibition of adipogenesis in vitro, accompanied by decreased expression of preadipocytes. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ), fatty acid synthase (FAS), and fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4) adipogenesis regulators. These findings establish the ginsenoside Rg1-1,2,3-triazole derivative a17 as a promising adipocyte differentiation inhibitor and potential therapeutic agent for obesity and associated metabolic disorders. This research provides a foundation for developing effective therapeutic approaches for various metabolic syndromes.

Objective By conducting competition for the post as team leader of clinical nursing teaching within the hospital,to improve quality of clinical nursing teaching and overall quality of nurses,so as to provide quality nursing care for patients. Methods A competition assessment team,set up in the Nursing Department,was responsible for formulating conditions and procedures. Candidates could participate in the competition by individual application and department recommendation. Comprehensive ability assessment included:speech,performance in examinations and evaluations in the Nursing Department and other large departments for the last 2 years,teaching ability evaluation from staff of advanced studies,internships, normalized training and rotation,and evaluation from medical staff of the department. 48 team leader of clinical nursing teaching were finally selected,before and after whose office taking,nursing quality and satisfaction from in-patients,staff of advanced studies and internships were compared. Results After the team leaders who won the competition took office,nursing quality in the hospital,including primary care,specific nursing, overall nursing,health education,nursing services,and working ability of clinical nurses were significantly improved than before(t=2.423,2.886,2.679,2.825,3.648,3.541;P < 0.05). Satisfaction of in-patients improved from 91.00% to 96.85%,and satisfaction of staff of advanced studies and internships from 90.19% to 96.62%(χ2=65.576,32.047;P<0.05). Conclusions By conducting competition for the post as team leader of clinical nursing teaching within the hospital,quality of nursing and nursing teaching,and satisfaction towards nursing have all improved.

Objective To survey the current status of the self-learning ability and critical thinking ability of nurses in district hospitals in suburban areas and explore the relationship between them to supply grounds for nurse training programs. Methods By convenient sampling from April to June 2014, a total of 404 nurses from 4 district hospitals in suburban areas in Nanjing were investigated with the nurse self-learning ability rating scale and critical thinking disposition inventory in Chinese version (CTDI-CV). Results The total score of suburban nurse self-leaning ability was (122. 57 ± 18. 00) while that of critical thinking ability was (276. 03 ± 24. 43). The single factor analysis presented that nurses with different occupational title had different level of critical thinking with statistical significance (F=6. 788,P<0. 05). The influencing factors of nurse self-leaning ability and critical thinking ability included whether they involved research, whether they were nursing mainstay or manager. The self-leaning ability was positively correlated with the critical thinking ability by Pearson analysis ( r=0. 378,P<0. 01). Conclusions The self-leaning ability and critical thinking ability of nurses in the four hospitals in Nanjing are in the moderate level, and they have a positive interacted relationship. According to the influencing factors, nursing managers should take appropriate and effective measures to develop and improve nurses, both abilities.
