1.Mediating role of optimism between mindfulness level and subjective well-being in patients after lung transplantation

Objective:To explore the relationship between mindfulness, optimism, and subjective well-being in post-lung transplantation patients, so as to provide a basis for nursing staff to improve patients' subjective well-being.Methods:This study was a cross-sectional survey. Convenience sampling was used to select 205 post-lung transplantation patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from October 2022 to November 2023 for the study. General Information Questionnaire, World Health Organization-Five Well-Being Scale, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) and Life Orientation Test-R (LOT-R) were used to investigate the study participants. Pearson correlation was used to analyze the correlation between subjective well-being and mindfulness and optimism in patients after lung transplantation. AMOS 24.0 software was used to construct a mediating model to analyze the path relationship between mindfulness, optimism and subjective well-being.Results:A total of 205 questionnaires were distributed and 202 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 98.54% (202/205). In 202 patients after lung transplantation, the WHO-5 Well-Being Scale total score, MAAS total score, and LOT-R score were (16.31±4.73), (56.75±9.44), and (18.49±3.85), respectively. Lung transplantation patients' subjective well-being was positively correlated with mindfulness and optimism ( r=0.570, 0.600, both P<0.01). Optimism partially mediated the relationship between mindfulness and subjective well-being, with an effect value of 0.290 and an effect proportion of 52.35% (0.290/0.554) . Conclusions:Mindfulness and optimism are both positively correlated with subjective well-being in post-lung transplantation patients, and mindfulness could also influence subjective well-being through the mediating effect of optimism. Healthcare professionals should fully explore and cultivate positive psychological resources, such as mindfulness, in lung transplant patients, by increasing optimism as the target of intervention, which in turn improves patients' subjective well-being.

3.Analysis of retinal and choroidal blood flow density in the macular areas of both eyes of children with mild monocular myopia

Objective To assess retinal and choroidal blood flow density in the macular regions of children diagnosed with unilateral low myopia using optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA).This study aimed to investigate the clinical significance of these mea-surements.Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted on 90 eyes of 45 children with monocular myopia and adolescents aged 8 to 14 years who visited the outpatient department of the Ophthalmology of Dalian Third People's Hospital between June 2022 and February 2023.Optometry was performed after a 1%cyclopentolate cycloplegic muscle paralysis.Eyes with spherical equivalent(SE)-3.00 D to-0.50 D were included in the myopia group,whereas those with SE-0.25 D to<+2.00 D were placed in the non-myopia group.The Master system was used to measure axial length(AL)and corneal curvature radius(CR),and to calculate AL/CR.Heidelberg spectral-domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)was used to perform horizontal linear scanning of the macular area to obtain subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT).The OCTA module was used to obtain 3 mm×3 mm choroidal blood flow images,which were imported into ImageJ graphics processing software to obtain the blood flow densities of the superficial choroidal plexus(SCP),deep choroidal plexus(DCP),choroidal capillary(CC),and foveal avascular zone(FAZ).Pearson's correlation was used to examine the correlations between each blood flow parameter and age,AL,CR,AL/CR,and SFCT.Results The SE and SFCT of the myopia group were smaller(P<0.05)than those of the non-myopia group,whereas the AL and AL/CR were significantly larger(P<0.05)than those of the non-myopia group.The DCP blood flow density in the myopia group was significantly lower than that in the non-myopia group(P<0.01).There was no statistically sig-nificant difference between the residual blood flow parameters of the myopia and non-myopia groups(P>0.05).The Pearson's correlation analysis indicated that the SCP and DCP blood flow densities in the myopia group were positively correlated with SE(r= 0.611,0.731,P<0.05),negatively correlated with AL(r=-0.568,-0.712,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with AL/CR(r=-0.557,-0.564,P<0.05).The SCP and DCP blood flow densities were negatively correlated with AL/CR in the non-myopia group(r=-0.615,-0.656,P<0.05).The CC density and FAZ area in the two groups did not correlate with age,SE,AL,CR,AL/CR,or SFCT(P>0.05).Conclusion Com-pared to non-myopic eyes,the eyes of children with mild monocular myopia had lower DCP blood flow density.Moreover,retinal blood flow density in myopic eyes was correlated with SE,AL,and AL/CR,whereas retinal blood flow density in non-myopic eyes was only correlated with AL/CR.

Objective To investigate the effects of microgravity environment on hibernating myoblasts.Methods Hibernating myoblasts were cultured under real and simulated microgravity conditions for 10 days.RNA-seq analysis and immunofluorescence are used to analysis the impact of microgravity environment on cell growth and gene expression of myoblasts.Results Under the microgravity conditions,genes associated with proliferation were upregulated.Under simulated microgravity,there were more and higher proportion of Ki67 positive cells compared to normal gravity conditions.Conclusion The microgravity environment promotes the proliferation of hibernating myoblasts.
5.Correlations of multimodal ultrasound quantitative parameters and tumor microenvironment acidification of nude mice MCF7 breast cancer

Objective To observe the correlations of quantitative parameters of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS),micro-flow imaging(MFI)and shear wave elastography(SWE)with tumor microenvironment(TME)acidification in nude mice MCF7 breast cancer.Methods MCF7 human breast cancer cells were injected subcutaneously into 20 BALB/c-nu nude mice,and modeling was regarded as successful when tumor grew to 150-200 mm3.Then,CEUS,MFI and SWE were performed to obtain relevant parameters,including time-intensity curve(TIC)parameters(peak intensity[PI],area under the curve[AUC]),vessel index(VI)and maximum,median and mean Youngs modulus(Emax,Emed,Emean).Tumor pH value was measured using fluorescence quenching method,and its correlation with CEUS,MFI and SWE parameters were analyzed.Results pH value of MCF7 breast cancer tissue in nude mice was 6.05-6.43,with an average of 6.27±0.05,which in high perfusion area was significantly higher than in low perfusion area(P<0.001).PI and AUC of TIC and VI were all positively correlated with pH value(r=0.661,0.611,0.768,all P<0.001),while Emax,Emed and Emean were negatively correlated with pH value(r=-0.490,-0.562,-0.571,all P<0.001).Conclusion TIC parameters and VI of MCF7 breast cancer in nude mice were positively correlated with TME acidification,while Emax,Emed and Emean were negatively correlated with TME acidification.

Guideline or consensus for the vaccination of children with special conditions like immunocompromised children may be more suitable for pediatricians.However, the vaccination of children in China is mainly performed by general practitioners or child health care practitioners in community health service centers.They need to master the screening knowledge of contraindications and precautions for the vaccination of children, and make the decision to referral to specialists.Based on the technical guidelines for Immunization of National Health Commission of the People′s Republic of China, Best Practices Guidance of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and contraindications and precautions proposed by the Immunization Action Coalition, 20 suggestions for primary screening of children with vaccination contraindications and referral recommendations for primary care providers were developed by experts from the Integration of Medicine and Prevention in Children of Health Commission of Shenzhen Municipality.
8.Rapid identification of homology of carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli by FTIR

Objective:Evaluate the application of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in the identification of homology of carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC). Methods:A total of 26 carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli strains were isolated from 9 provinces in China in 2018. The 900-1 200 cm -1 was selected as a spectral region for the Euclidean distance calculating and average linkage clustering between all isolates.The single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) was analyzed by whole genome sequencing (WGS). Results:Twenty-six CREC strains were divided into 14 infrared spectros copy(IR) types by FTIR. The same IR type belonged to the same sequence type type.Compared with cluster analysis based on WGS, the consistency of FTIR cluster analysis was 92.3% (24/26).Conclusions:FTIR presented excellent performance in identification of homology of CREC.Besides, with the advantages of simple operation and rapid acquisition of results, FTIR may be a useful tool in clinical labs.
9.Clinical value of Optic Nerve Head Parameters and Disc-damage Likelihood Scale in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma

Glaucoma, alias'the thief of light', characterized by visual field defects that correspond to damaged areas of the optic nerve head, is a common ophthalmopathy causing irreversible blindness. Thus early diagnosis is crucial. Structural assessment can detect Glaucoma in early stage and diminish the risk of irreversible visual impairment. There are now several apparatus which can clinically measure ONH parameters and confirm DDLS (disc damage likelihood scale) precisely and reproducibly. Comprehensive estimate considering RNFLD (retina nervefiberlayer defects), offers reliable evidence as well as potent support for preclinical detecting, measurement and follow-up observations.
10.Renal IgG subclasses in hepatitis-related nephropathy patient with negative plasma hepatitis B antigen

Objective To analyze the renal IgG subclasses in special patients whose renal HBsAg and HBcAg are positive, but plasma HBsAg, HBeAg, and HBcAg are negative.Methods Renal IgG subclasses were compared between 14 cases hepatitis-related nephropathy patients(diagnosed by renal biopsy pathology,whose blood hepatitis B antigens were negative) and 18 cases idiopathic membranous nephropathy patients.HBcAg and HBsAg were detected by indirect immunofluorescence assay, IgG, IgG1, 2, 3, 4 were stained by immunofluorescence.Results Renal IgG1-4 deposits were 100% (14/14), 78.6% (11/14), 78.6% (11/14), 100%(14/14) separately in hepatitis B-related nephropathy group, and renal IgG1-4 deposits were 88.9% (16/18), 5.6% (1/18), 5.6% (1/18), and 83.3% (15/18) in idiopathic membranous nephropathy group.Renal IgG2 and IgG3 deposit more in hepatitis B-related nephropathy group than in idiopathic membranous nephropathy group (78.6% vs 5.6% ,78.6% vs 5.6%;P =0.000) , but no significant difference in IgG1 and IgG4 deposit.Conclusion Renal IgG2 and IgG3 deposit more in hepatitis B-related nephropathy group than in idiopathic membranous nephropathy group, and may help some in diagnosis.
