1.Effects of Ningxin Shugan Decoction Combined with Antagonist Fixation Regimen on IVF-ET Outcomes and Serum Kisspeptin Expression in Infertility Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Ningxin Shugan decoction combined with an antagonist fixation regimen on in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) outcomes and serum kisspeptin expression in infertility patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. MethodsA total of 96 infertile patients with polycystic ovary syndrome treated in Yancheng No.1 People's Hospital and Yancheng Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine were enrolled in this study and randomized into control and observation groups (n=48). The control group was treated with an antagonist fixation regimen, and the observation group was treated with Ningxin Shugan decoction on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. The total score and single scores of TCM symptoms, ovulation promotion status, and serum levels of reproductive hormones, miR-335-5p, miR-141-3p, and kisspeptin were determined before and after treatment. The IVF-ET outcome indicators and treatment safety were evaluated. Pearson test was conducted to analyze the correlations of serum levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), kisspeptin, miR-335-5p, and miR-141-3p with IVF-ET outcomes. ResultsThe total response rate in the observation group was 90.91%, which was higher than that (70.45%) in the control group (P<0.05). The total score and single scores of TCM symptoms and the testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), and LH/FSH levels declined after treatment (P<0.05), and they were lower in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the serum levels of FSH, kisspeptin, miR-335-5p, and miR-141-3p rose in both groups, being higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). The observation group showed higher ovulation number, number of MⅡ oocytes, embryo implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, and live birth rate than the control group (P<0.05, P<0.01). Serum levels of FSH, kisspeptin, miR-335-5p, and miR-141-3p were positively correlated with embryo implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, and live birth rate (P<0.01). ConclusionNingxin Shugan decoction combined with the antagonist fixation regimen can improve the IVF-ET outcome, promote the serum kisspeptin expression, and increase the ovulation rate and pregnancy rate in infertility patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Abstract
In recent years, the prevalence of overweight and obesity among children and adolescents has risen rapidly, posing a serious threat to their physical and mental health. To provide scientific, systematic, and standardized weight management guidance for overweight and obese children and adolescents, the study focuses on the core concept of healthy lifestyle intervention, integrates multidisciplinary expert opinions and research findings,and proposes a comprehensive multidisciplinary intervention framework covering scientific exercise intervention, precise nutrition and diet, optimized sleep management, and standardized psychological support. It calls for the establishment of a multi agent collaborative management mechanism led by the government, implemented by families, fostered by schools, initiated by individuals, optimized by communities, reinforced by healthcare, and coordinated by multiple stakeholders. Emphasizing a child and adolescent centered approach, the consensus advocates for comprehensive, multi level, and personalized guidance strategies to promote the internalization and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. It serves as a reference and provides recommendations for the effective prevention and control of overweight and obesity, and enhancing the health level of children and adolescents.
3.Rapid Monitoring of Hydroxyl Value and Conjugated Linoleic Acid Content During Dehydration of Castor Oils Based on Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry Coupled with Chemometrics

The hydroxyl value and conjugated linoleic acid content of dehydrated castor oils are two important indicators that reflect its properties.Thus,monitoring the two indicators can better realize the industrial production of high-quality dehydrated castor oils.However,traditional chemical measurement methods have many disadvantages in determination of the two indictors,including large reagent consumption,long determination time,and cannot achieve rapid monitoring.Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FTIR)is a new and non-destructive detection method that is low-cost and can achieve rapid detection.In this work,FTIR technique was employed to collect spectral information of dehydrated castor oils and analyze the relationship between FTIR spectral information and hydroxyl value and conjugated linoleic acid content,and a rapid detection method for detecting the property indicators of dehydrated castor oils was thus established.FTIR scanning was performed on dehydrated castor oils with a hydroxyl value of 21.9-161.4 mg KOH/g and a conjugated linoleic acid content of less than 37.5%.Among different preprocessing methods,orthogonal scatter correction(OSC)could improve the prediction accuracy of the resulting model,by which the optimal modeling data segments for hydroxyl value and conjugated linoleic acid content were 3200-3800 cm-1 and 800-1200 cm-1,respectively,and the optimal modeling method was partial least squares(PLS).The coefficients of determination of the optimal models for hydroxyl value and conjugated linoleic acid content were all above 0.99.
4.An Electronic Microbial Growth Analyzer-based Method for Rapidly Screening Viable Salmonella in Food

Foodborne illnesses caused by Salmonella pose significant threats to worldwide public health safety.In this study,a rapid method for screening viable Salmonella in oyster sauce and milk was developed by utilizing an electronic microbial growth analyzer(EMGA).Target food samples were diluted 10-fold with RVS broth and loaded into test tubes.Test tubes were positioned in the EMGA to determine the bacterial growth curves and the time required to reach the maximum growth rate(Tmgr).Using Salmonella typhimurium(S.typhimurium)asan model species,there was linear relationship between the logarithmic value of viable bacterial concentration(lgC)and Tmgr over the range of 5×101-5×106 CFU/mL,with a detection limit of 10 CFU/mL.For oyster sauce,the regression equation was Tmgr(min)=-80.775lg[C/(CFU/mL)]+754.96(R2=0.9907),and the recovery rates of S.typhimurium ranged from 95.2%to 119.8%,with relative standard deviations(RSD)ranging from 3.5%to 16.3%.For milk,the regression equation was Tmgr(min)=-71.922 lg[C/(CFU/mL)]+618.65(R2=0.9985),with recovery rates ranging from 98.4%to 110.6%and RSD ranging from 6.4%to 12.8%.The EMGA method required only one portable instrument,and involving only three manual steps,i.e.,dilution,transfer,and insertion.When S.typhimurium contamination reached 106 CFU/mL,the total time consumption,from the unwrapping of samples to the readout of bacterial concentration,was no more than 7 h.When applied to detection of actual oyster sauce and milk samples,the new method demonstrated strong consistency with plate counting results in positive detection rates.This method was superior to the plate counting method,which was generally considered as a gold standard,in terms of accuracy,precision,simplicity and efficiency,representing a promising alternative for the on-site screening and quantification of viable Salmonella in oyster sauce and milk products.
5.Incidence trend of herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia in Beijing City from 2015 to 2022

Objective:To understand the incidence rate of herpes zoster (HZ) and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) in Beijing, and analyze the incidence trend of HZ and PHN from 2015 to 2022.Methods:Cases of HZ and PHN from 2015 to 2022 were retrieved from the Hospital Information Systems (HIS) of all primary and above hospitals/clinics in three districts representing the urban, inner suburban, and outer suburban areas of Beijing. After duplication screening, the first visit cases were screened, and the incidence characteristics were described. The incidence rate of HZ and PHN in each year by sex and age group and the age-standardized incidence rate were calculated. The annual percentage increase (APC) of incidence rate was calculated using the Joint regression model, and the change trend was analyzed.Results:The age-standardized incidence rate of HZ in Beijing from 2015 to 2022 ranged from 7.44‰ to 10.05‰, with an average annual incidence rate of 8.95 ‰, significantly increasing with age ( P<0.001). The Joinpoint regression model showed that the overall age-standardized incidence of HZ remained relatively stable, with no significant difference (APC=2.28%, t=1.56, P=0.170). However, the incidence rate among the 0-19-year-old group exhibited a trend of decrease (APC=-10.70%, t=-6.29, P<0.001). For PHN, the age-standardized incidence in Beijing ranged from 0.77‰ to 2.67‰, with an average annual incidence rate of 1.59‰ and a proportion of 9.48% to 26.86% among HZ cases. Both the incidence of PHN and its proportion among HZ cases increased with age ( P<0.001). The age-standardized incidence of PHN increased annually (APC=18.56%, t=9.02, P<0.001). Conclusion:The incidence rate of HZ and PHN in Beijing continues to be at a high level, and PHN shows an increasing trend over time.
6.Characterization and spatial distribution of new infections in the newly reported HIV-1 infected population in Luzhou city

Objective:To understand the characteristics of new infections in the newly reported HIV-1 infected population in Luzhou, to find out the characteristics of the high-risk population, which may provide a basis for developing precise prevention and control measures locally.Methods:HIV-1 LAg Avidity EIA test was applied for newly reported cases in Luzhou from 2018 to 2021. The chi-square test was used for univariate analysis, logistic regression model for multivariate analysis, and spatial autocorrelation and hotspot analysis were applied to explore the spatial distribution characteristics of new infections in Luzhou city.Results:A total of 4 494 cases reported in the odd-numbered months were selected for testing, with 673 newly infected cases and the proportion of newly infected cases was 14.98%. Newly infected cases were predominantly male (472/673, 70.13%), married (335/673, 49.78%), heterosexual transmission (621/673, 92.27%), age>50 years (520/673, 77.27%), and junior high school or lower education (599/673, 89.00%). The proportion of new infections in each year were 11.74% (129/1 099), 17.11% (247/1 444), 13.57% (154/1 134) and 17.50% (143/817), respectively, with a statistically significant difference ( χ2=20.024, P<0.001) and an upward trend ( χ2=5.997, P=0.014). There were statistically significant differences in different transmission routes, gender, education level, occupation, sample source and residence (all P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, marital status, transmission route, current address, and sample source were all influencing factors for new infections. There are spatial autocorrelation characteristics of new case incidence in 2018 and 2021, hotspot areas gradually shifted from dispersed to relatively concentrated, with the number fluctuating with reported year. Conclusions:The proportion of new HIV-1 infections in Luzhou is relatively low throughout the province, but it is on the rise. The proportion of new infections is higher among youth, students, homosexual transmission, and retired persons. Attention should be focused on hotspot areas and routine surveillance and testing of key populations in hotspot areas should be strengthened.
