Digital technologies have become an integral part of complete denture restoration. With advancement in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), tools such as intraoral scanning, facial scanning, 3D printing, and numerical control machining are reshaping the workflow of complete denture restoration. Unlike conventional methods that rely heavily on clinical experience and manual techniques, digital technologies offer greater precision, predictability, and efficacy. They also streamline the process by reducing the number of patient visits and improving overall comfort. Despite these improvements, the clinical application of digital complete denture restoration still faces challenges that require further standardization. The major issues include appropriate case selection, establishing consistent digital workflows, and evaluating long-term outcomes. To address these challenges and provide clinical guidance for practitioners, this expert consensus outlines the principles, advantages, and limitations of digital complete denture technology. The aim of this review was to offer practical recommendations on indications, clinical procedures and precautions, evaluation metrics, and outcome assessment to support digital restoration of complete denture in clinical practice.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is a common malignant tumor with insidious early symptoms and a poor prognosis. In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),ESCC is classified as"ye ge."Drawing on clinical experience,we believe that kidney deficiency leads to the deficiency of vital qi and immune dysfunction, providing the foundation for cancerous growth by depleting qi and damaging essence, toxic stasis and stagnation, forming a local hypoxic and acidic microenvironment that promotes tumor invasion, metastasis, and recurrence.Considering the effect of modern comprehensive treatments, the occurrence and development of ESCC are summarized as kidney deficiency being the root cause and toxic stasis being the driving force. The pathogenesis and treatment of ESCC in the preoperative, postoperative, and non-surgical treatment stages are discussed. The pathogenesis of the disease is summarized as follows:preoperatively, toxicity and stasis intertwine, depleting the kidney;postoperatively, the kidney loses its vitality, allowing various pathogenic factors to persist;during non-operative treatment, vital qi and pathogens contend, resulting in entrenched toxicity.During the preoperative neoadjuvant phase, therapy should resolve stasis, eliminate toxins, enhance kidney function, tonify essence, and support the body.During the postoperative adjuvant phase, therapy should strengthen the root and consolidate the foundation while detoxifying and expelling stasis. The non-surgical treatment stage uses"balanced interruption,"targeting tumor progression and metastasis by harmonizing yin and yang, thus preventing recurrence. This article will provide insights into the integrative Chinese-Western management of ESCC.

Paclitaxel(PTX)is a first-line chemotherapy drug for breast cancer, but its resistance issues significantly impact clinical treatment efficacy.Fucosylation, especially core fucosylation,is closely related to tumor chemoresistance, resulting in poor chemotherapy responses and poor prognosis in patients. In this study,we investigated the effect and mechanism of the fucosylation inhibitor 2-fluorofucose(2-F-Fuc)on the chemosensitivity of paclitaxel-resistant breast cancer MCF-7/PTX cells. The drug resistanceindex(RI)of MCF-7/PTX cells was 8.49 by MTT assays.Western blotting,real-time PCR,enzyme-linked immu-nosorbent assay(ELISA)and Lens Culinaris Agglutinin(LCA)lectin imprinting showed that compared with MCF-7 cells, the expression of FUT8,MDR1and core fucosylation in MCF-7/PTX cells was high.Western blotting showed that 2-F-Fuc had a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of MCF-7/PTX cells, and the expression levels of FUT8 and MDR1 were significantly down-regulated after 2-F-Fuc treatment, and the down-regulation was more pronounced in the PTX and 2-F-Fuc combination group(P<0.05).Compared to the control, expression of PCNA in MCF-7/PTX cells in the PTX and the 2-F-Fuc group were down-regulated,and the apoptosis-related proteins, such as cleaved caspase-3 and Bax/Bcl-2 were in-creased.The level of p-PI3K and p-AKT were down-regulated,and the changes in the combination of 2-F-Fuc and PTX were more robust(P<0.05).The above results showed that the core fucosylation level of MCF-7/PTX cells was significantly increased, and 2-F-Fuc could reduce the core fucosylation level of MCF-7/PTX cells by inhibiting the expression of FUT8,and enhance the sensitivity of drug-resistant cells to PTX,which may correlate with the downregulation of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway proteins.

Aim To investigate the intestinal protection and possible mechanism of magnolol(MG)in newborn rats with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC).Methods The rats were randomly divided into control group(Ctrl group),model group(NEC group)and treatment group(MG group). The NEC model was induced by hypoxia, cold stimulation, deep formula milk and LPS intragastric administration in 7-day-old rats for four days. They were killed after five days of treatment with MG(20 mg·kg-1).HE staining was used to observe the intestinal pathological injury.Western blot was used to detect the expressions of IL-1 β,TNF-α,NL-RP3,ASC,caspase-1 and tight junction protein in the distal ileum of rats.Colon contents were collected for 16S rDNA sequencing to understand the gut microbio-ta.Results MG improved the body mass and intesti-nal injury of NEC neonatal rats. The expressions of in-testinal IL-1β,TNF-α,NLRP3,ASC and caspase-1 proteins were down-regulated,and the expressions of Claudin,Occludin and ZO-1 proteins were up-regula-ted.16S rDNA showed that MG increased the diversity of intestinal flora, and at the phylum level,MG in-creased the abundance of firmicutes and bacteroides in NEC model, and decreased the abundance of pro-teobacteria.At the genus level,MG treatment in-creased the abundance of Lactobacillus,unclassified_Muribaculaceae,Racteroides,but decreased the abun-dance of Escherichia_Shigella,Rodentibacter and Fuso-bacterium.Conclusion MG intervention can protect the intestinal tract of NEC rats by potentially improving barrier function, and regulating the intestinal microbiota through the NLRP3/ASC/caspase-1 signaling pathway.

The included literature was summarized and analyzed. Results:A total of 18 studies were included. The decision aids for lung cancer screening mainly addressed elements such as information support and guidance, analysis of pros and cons related to screening decisions, clarification of values and preferences, and communication support during decision-making. Outcome indicators included cognitive and behavioral aspects, values and preferences, decision outcomes, acceptability and feasibility of the tools. The application effects showed improvements in participants' knowledge about lung cancer screening, screening behaviors, reduced decisional conflict and regret, and increased satisfaction with decision-making.
