Objective:To explore the effects of a method combining the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) model with objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) on soft skill evaluation score, training satisfaction, personal growth, and radiation effect in training perinatal specialist nurses, and to evaluate the effectiveness of this method in improving the comprehensive clinical nursing ability and training effect of perinatal specialist nurses. Methods:Using the cluster sampling non-random grouping method, 63 trainees who received training at the Perinatal Specialist Nurse Training Base of Chongqing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from 2019 to 2020 were selected as the control group, and the conventional theoretical and clinical practice training and assessment methods were adopted. Additionally, 60 trainees who received training from 2021 to 2022 were selected as the experimental group, and the training method combining OSCE and KAP was adopted. General information questionnaire, training assessment satisfaction questionnaire, and a nursing soft skill evaluation scale were used for investigation. SPSS 25.0 software was used for descriptive analysis. The independent samples t-test and chi-square test were used to compare the differences in soft skill evaluation score, training satisfaction, personal growth, and radiation effect between the two groups of trainees after training. Results:The average difficulty of OSCE was 0.7 and the average discrimination was 0.5. The total score of soft skill evaluation in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group ( t=3.73, P<0.001). After training, the total satisfaction score of the experimental group was (30.95±5.36), which was significantly higher than that of the control group (28.73±4.72) ( t=2.44, P=0.016). There were no significant differences in personal growth and radiation effect between the two groups after training ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The combination of KAP and OSCE in training perinatal specialist nurses is helpful to improve the trainees' soft skills and training satisfaction, and is worthy of promotion and application in clinical specialist nurse training.

Glucocorticoids possess potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, rendering them a common therapeutic option for oral mucosal diseases. The mechanisms of glucocorticoid action are diverse, encompassing both genomic and non-genomic effects.Given the ubiquitous presence of glucocorticoid receptors in nearly all human cells, their impact is widespread. While the effi-cacy of glucocorticoids is evident, prolonged or high-dose administration can lead to various adverse effects. Therefore,it is crucial to understand the mechanism of action and adverse reactions of glucocorticoids, master the indications and dosage of glucocorticoids in the treatment of oral mucosal diseases, and apply glucocorticoids correctly and reasonably in the diagnosis and treatment of oral mucosal diseases. At the same time,it is important to monitor the adverse reactions after medication and deal with them timely to ensure the safety of medication for patients.

Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of intracranial infection caused by Mycobacterium lentiflavum. Methods:The clinical data of a patient with intracranial infection caused by Mycobacterium lentiflavum admitted to Tianjin Haihe Hospital in May 2023 were collected. Meanwhile relevant literatures in databases were searched. Only 1 English literature (1 patient) was obtained. The clinical characteristics of this patient and the case reported in the literature were analyzed and summarized. Results:Totally 2 patients, including this case, and the patient with meningoencephalitis caused by Mycobacterium lentiflavum reported in the literature, both are females, 42 and 55 years old respectively, both manifested a chronic course, without fever, and presented progressive headache and cognitive impairment. Clinical manifestations also included abnormal mental behavior, limb weakness, and seizure. At the early stage, only intracranial pressure increased, and cerebrospinal fluid tests were negative. As the disease aggravated, there was an elevation of cerebrospinal fluid cells and protein, with normal levels of glucose and chloride. Using brain tissue obtained by biopsy for polymerase chain reaction or next-generation sequencing examination, the pathogenic microorganism was confirmed, which made accurate diagnosis possible. Antibiotic treatment had good efficacy, with a long treatment course and a good prognosis. Conclusions:Central nervous system infection caused by Mycobacterium lentiflavum is very rare, and a chronic disease course makes diagnosis very difficult. The treatment effect is significant, and the prognosis is excellent.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2021;54(6):597-600
Meningoencephalitis caused by the human herpes virus 6 is common in acquired immune deficiency syndrome patients or in patients after organ transplantation, rarely in immunocompetent adults. The clinical manifestations include headache, drowsinesss, coma, epileptic attack, psychiatric symptom and focal neurological signs. Antiviral therapy is effective, however the prognosis should be poor if the treatment is not timely. The clinical data of one case of meningoencephalitis caused by the human herpes virus 6 in Tianjin Haihe Hospital in October 2019 were analyzed. Meningoencephalitis caused by the human herpes virus 6 can be recurrent. The clinical manifestations are nonspecific and the diagnosis is difficult. The next generation sequencing of cerebrospinal fluid is a powerful method to identify pathogens.

Objective:
To estimate the levels of free carnitine and acylcarnitine in neonates, and summarize the incidence and clinical characteristics of carnitine absorption deficiency in Xuzhou.
Methods:
Between November 2015 and December 2017, 216 903 newborns were recruited with carnitine absorption deficiency screened via tandem mass spectrometry in Xuzhou. They were divided into different groups according to gestational age, birth body weight, blood collecting time and season, in which the group with gestational age <37 weeks was selected as the premature delivery group, and the group with gestational age 37-41+ 6 weeks as the normal gestational age group for gestational age analysis, while the group with the birth body mass <2 500 g was selected as low birth body mass group and the group with the birth body mass of 2 500-3 999 g as normal birth body mass group for body mass analysis.SPSS 16.0 software was used for data analysis to clarify the influence of the above factors on the detection of carnitine indexes by tandem mass spectrometry.DNA sequencing was performed to confirm the diagnosis and analyze the relevant pathogenic genotypes in children with positive screening, and these confirmed individuals were followed up.
Results:
There was no statistical difference in the levels of C3, C8 and C102 between preterm infants and normal body mass infants in the gestational age group(all

West China Journal of Stomatology 2014;32(4):363-366
OBJECTIVEThis study aims to investigate the dental caries status of 12-year-old children (born in 1998) in Sichuan province in 2010 and 2011, monitor the tendency of dental caries, and update available information and scientific basis for oral health care program.
METHODSThe oral health of 733 twelve-year-old children was surveyed for two consecutive years according to the methods proposed by the World Health Organization. The children were selected using multi-stage, stratified, randomized sampling. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 software.
RESULTSCaries prevalence, DMFT, and DMFS in 12-year-old children were 34.8%, 0.93, and 1.09, respectively, and increased to 44.3%, 1.08, and 1.40 in the following year. The eruption of permanent teeth among females was higher than that of males (P < 0.05). The significant caries index was 2.54 in 2010 and 2.90 in 2011. F/D+F were 4.2% and 6.5% separately. Annual incidence of dental caries was 9.6%.
CONCLUSIONCaries prevalence in the permanent teeth of 12-year-olds is high and worsens as the children age. Despite the high incidence of dental caries, the filling rate is low, hence the need for immediate preventive measures.
