Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of fasting nasogastric administration of sesame oil combined with multi-frequency vibrational abdominal massage in stroke patients with consti-pation undergoing nasogastric feeding. Methods A total of 50 stroke patients with nasogastric feeding were selected as study subjects and randomly divided into control group and study group, with 25 pa-tients in each group. The control group received routine nursing care plus multi-frequency vibrational abdominal massage, while the study group received fasting nasogastric administration of 20 mL of sesa-me oil on the basis of the control group's treatment. After 15 days of intervention, the defecation condi-tions[constipation clinical symptom score(CSS),stool consistency(Bristol stool scale),and stool volume]were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the CSS score in the study group was lower than that in the control group[(6.52±2.52)versus(12.64±3.32),P<0.05].The normal stool consistency(types Ⅳ and Ⅴ on the Bristol stool scale)in the study group was higher than that in the control group(76.0%versus 8.0%,P<0.05).The stool volume in the study group was higher than that in the control group[(303.00±93.79)g versus(196.40±60.27)g,P<0.05].The total effective rate of defecation in the study group was 96.0%,which was higher than 32.0%in the control group(P<0.05).The Patient Assessment of Constipation-Quality of Life(PAC-QOL)score in the study group was lower than that in the control group[(40.07±5.67)versus(63.07±7.46),P<0.05].Conclusion Fasting nasogastric administration of sesame oil com-bined with multi-frequency vibrational abdominal massage can promote the recovery of intestinal function and improve constipation symptoms in stroke patients with nasogastric feeding.

OBJECTIVE To analyze the characteristics of levofloxacin-induced hypersensitivity reaction. METHODS Clinical pharmacists participated in the treatment for a case of levofloxacin-induced hypersensitivity reaction, and adjudged the relationship of levofloxacin with hypersensitivity reaction according to relative standards. Retrieved from CNKI, VIP, Wanfang database, PubMed and Embase, relevant literature about levofloxacin-induced hypersensitivity reaction was collected and analyzed. RESULTS Clinical pharmacists suggested checking the patient’s previous medication and allergy history based on symptoms such as fever and systemic rash, and determined that the drug hypersensitivity was “likely” or “highly likely” to be associated with levofloxacin. Clinicians provided symptomatic treatment to the patient based on the judgment of clinical pharmacists, and the patient improved after treatment. Results of the literature analysis showed that among 31 involved patients, there were 23 males and 8 females; 18 patients aged 50 and above; the incubation period of 24 patients was within 4 days after medication. The main adverse drug reactions were drug hypersensitivity syndrome, fixed drug eruption, erythema multiforme, etc. Most patients were improved after withdrawal and symptomatic treatment. CONCLUSIONS Hypersensitivity reaction is the rare adverse drug reaction of levofloxacin, mostly occurring within 2.5 h to 4 days after administration, and it is more likely to occur in middle-aged and elderly patients. Before clinical use, patients should be asked about their drug allergy history in detail; when patients experience fever or rash without obvious causes, medication should be stopped promptly and symptomatic treatment should be taken to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the patients’ medication.

Bacterial multi-drug resistance (MDR) is a global challenge in the fields of medicine and health, agriculture and fishery, ecology and environment. The cross-region spread of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) among different species is one of the main cause of bacterial MDR. However, there is no effective strategies for addressing the intensifying bacterial MDR. The CRISPR-Cas system, consisting of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) and CRISPR associated proteins, can targetedly degrade exogenous nucleic acids, thus exhibiting high application potential in preventing and controlling bacterial MDR caused by ARGs. This review briefly introduced the working mechanism of CRISPR-Cas systems, followed by discussing recent advances in reducing ARGs by CRISPR-Cas systems delivered through mediators (e.g. plasmids, bacteriophages and nanoparticle). Moreover, the trends of this research field were envisioned, providing a new perspective on preventing and controlling MDR.

OBJECTIVE:To provide a reference for rational clinical application of Reduning injection. METHODS:The rele-vant information about the patients who sought treatment in our hospital in 2014 and used reduning injection were collected to make statistical analysis to the age, dosage, course of treatment, frequencies, etc. RESULTS:Among the above-mentioned patients, the number of males was more than that of females, children under 10 years old accounted for 36.10%,47.54%of patients received re-duning injection for a treatment course of over five days, and 14.99% of patients failed to wash the infusion tube before injection. CONCLUSIONS:Irrational clinical application of reduning injection exists. The administration and dosage should be standardized and the dosage for children under three years old as specified in the label be detailed to reduce and avoid the occurrence of adverse drug reaction so as to ensure the safety of drug use by patients.

Objective To study the change characteristics of erythrocyte parameters in carriers of deletional alpha-thalassemia gene. Methods 389 patients with deletional alpha-thalassemia gene determined by the gap-PCR technique were classified into three groups based on different genotypes of alpha-thalassemia including silent thalassemia group,alpha-thalassemia trait group (265 ca-ses)and intermediate thalassemia group, and contemporaneous 188 healthy adults were randomly selected as the normal control-group(NC).The erythrocyte parameters including RBC,Hb,MCV,MCH,RDW were retrospectively analyzed and their differences were compared among aboved-mentioned groups by the analysis of variance and the multiple comparison. Results Alpha-thalasse-mia manifested by different degrees of microcyte hypochromia. There were statistically significant differences in the erythrocyte pa-rameters among various genotypes and phenotypes about erythrocyte indices(P <0.05).Moreover,the Hb,MCV and MCH values were lower than those in the control group, and had the decreasing tendency with the increase of deletedα-globin gene numbers;but the RDW value was higher than that in the control group, showing the increasing tendency, the differences had statistical siginifi-cance(P <0.05).Conclusion With the increase of deleted α-globin gene number, the characteristic of small-cell low-hemoglobin is more and more remarkable.RBC has a overall increase, while Hb,MCV and MCH have a decreasing tendency, and the heterogeneity of erythrocyte volume is increased. When MCV and MCH decreasing in high risk region, thalassemia should be highly suspected, but normal MCV and MCH can not exclude silent thalassemia and alpha-thalassemia trait.
