Colorectal cancer(CRC),a highly prevalent malignant tumor worldwide,has shown a continuously increasing incidence,particularly with the rise of early-onset CRC in young populations.Neoadjuvant therapy,as an important strategy for locally advanced CRC,shows significant potential to downstage tumors,improve radical surgical cure rates,and enhance prognosis.In this paper,a 39-year-old male patient with sigmoid colon adenocarcinoma at clinical stage cT4aN2aM0(stage ⅢC)is reported.Genetic testing revealed a mutation in the oncogene KRAS(G13D)and microsatellite stability(MSS).The patient also had significantly elevated carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),lymph node metastasis,and suspected pelvic implant nodules,with a high risk of invasiveness and potential peritoneal metastasis.Because he had a refractory subtype of CRC with poor response to traditional immunotherapy,the patient was treated with neoadjuvant therapy,comprising CapeOx regimen(capecitabine+oxaliplatin),followed sequentially by sluzumab;after 6 treatment cycles,the tumor shrank significantly,and laparoscopic radical sigmoid colon resection was successfully performed,with no residual(ypT0N0)confirmed by postoperative pathology.This case suggests that for patients with KRAS-mutated MSS CRC resistant to traditional immunotherapy,a combination of CapeOx chemotherapy followed by programmed death-1(PD-1)inhibitors may induce a deep pathological response and provide translational treatment opportunities for locally advanced patients.However,the universality and long-term benefits of this treatment regimen still require further longitudinal studies and clinical follow-up.

Objective To observe the expression of GLIS3 in triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)and analyze its relationship with the prognosis of TNBC patients.Methods Bioinformatic analysis was applied to analyze the expression level of GLIS3 in Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO).Kaplan-Meier survival curve was plotted to evaluate the impact of GLIS3 expression on the survival rate of patients based on DNA chip data.A total of 125 patients pathologically diagnosed as TNBC in the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from January to December 2014 were enrolled by cluster random sampling.Among them,53 patients had complete tissue specimens,medical records and follow-up data.Immunohistochemical assay was used to detect the expression of GLIS3 in TNBC and adjacent tissues to tumors,while the relationships between GLIS3 protein expression in breast cancer tissues and clinicopathological parameters such as age,menstrual status,tumor size,clinical stage,histological grade,pathological type,axillary lymph node metastasis,vascular tumor thrombus,and expression of TP53 and Ki-67 were analyzed.Kaplan-Meier survival curve was plotted to analyze the effect of GLIS3 on the overall and disease-free survival of TNBC patients.Cox regression model was established to identify the risk factors impacting the prognosis of the patients.Results Analysis of GEO data showed that the expression of GLIS3 in TNBC was significantly higher than that in paracancer tissues(P＜0.05).The expression of GLIS3 was notably higher in the TNBC tissue than the adjacent tissue to tumor(P＜0.05).A marked augmentation of GLIS3 expression was observed in both the advanced and larger-sized tumors(P＜0.05).Univariate analysis of Cox regression model revealed that lymph node metastasis,TNM stage and GLIS3 expression were all related to disease-free survival of TNBC patients(P＜0.05).Univariate and multivariate analyses displayed that TNM stage was related to the overall survival of TNBC patients(P＜0.05).The patients with high expression of GLIS3 had significant shorter disease-free survival time than those with low expression(P＜0.05),but had no statistical difference in overall survival(P＞0.05).Conclusion GLIS3 protein is highly expressed in TNBC tissues,and tumor size and TNM stage are correlated with its high expression.The high expression of GLIS3 suggests that the patients have poor prognosis and low disease-free survival rate.

Andrographis paniculata is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine with a wide cultivation in south China. The market demand has been increasing steadily in recent years. However, there are problems such as disordered production, pesticide residues and heavy metal content in the process of Andrographis paniculata production. Pollution- free cultivation is an effective strategy to solve this problem, and it is also the development direction of the Chinese herbal medicine planting industry at this stage. In order to guide the cultivation of pollution-free and high-quality Andrographis paniculata, this study established a pollution- free fine cultivation technology system of Andrographis paniculata including precise cultivation and site selection. In addition, soil improvement, scientific pollution-free planting mode and high- efficiency integrated pest control technology help solve problems such as pesticide residues and heavy metal content. This paper provides a reference for the pollution-free and fine cultivation of Andrographis paniculata.

Objective:To investigate the changes of macular region structure before and after operation in patients with macular epiretinal membrane,and its relationship with the visual function of patients.Methods:The clinical data of 60 patients with macular epiretinal membrane (60 eyes) in our hospital from February 2014 to August 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.All patients were examined with optical coherence tomography (OCT) examination,and observed the changes ofmacula central fovea and retinal each azimuth thickness,and the best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was recorded before and after operation,and the correlations of them were analysised.Results:The visual acuity was improved in 53 patients (53 eyes) after operation,accounting for 88.33％,and the visual acuity was unchanged in 7 patients (7 eyes),accounting for 11.67％.The preoperative BCVA of patients was (0.18± 0.07),and it was (0.38± 0.12) at 3 months after operation,which was significantly higher than before operation (P＜0.05).Postoperative macular central thickness,inner side of the inner ring thickness,nasal side of the inner ring thickness,above the inner ring thickness,below the inner ring thickness,outer ringtemporal side thickness,external ring nasal side thickness,above the outer ring thickness,below the outer ring thickness in patients compared with the preoperative were significantly lower,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis showed that preoperative macular central thickness,preoperative inner side of the inner ring thickness,preoperative outer ring temporal side thickness,the difference of macular fovea thickness before and after operation,the difference of the medial temporal before and after operationwas,the difference of outer ring temporal side before and after operation were negatively correlated with postoperative BCVA (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Vitrectomy can significantly reduce macular retinal thickness in patients with macular epiretinal membrane,and it can improve the visual function of patients,and the shape ofmacular region before operation had some influence on postoperative visual acuity.

Objective To compare different methods for developing rat model of the syndrome of cold fluid retention in lung ( CFRL) , so as to find an easier and more reliable modeling method for CFRL. Methods Twenty rats were divided into 4 groups, namely normal group, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) group, tobacco group, and cold bath group, 5 rats in each group. Lipopolysaccharide group was given intratracheal drip of LPS, tobacco smoking and cold bath, tobacco group was given tobacco smoking and cold bath, and cold bath group was given cold bath and intragastric gavage of cold water. The modeling time in the three groups lasted for 15 days. After the experiment, we compared the general health state, body weight, sputum volume and pathological changes in rats of the four groups. Results (1) Compared with the normal group, activities of rats in the three modeling groups were lowered, body temperature decreased, and the signs of panting, cyanotic nose and lips with excretion, and sneezing (cough) were obvious. (2) Compared with the normal group, the decrease of body weight was obvious (P<0.01), expelling sputum volume was increased (P<0.05) in the model groups. However, the differences among the three model groups had no statistical differences ( P>0.05). ( 3) The results of lung tissue slice examination showed that the injury of lung tissue was severe in LPS group, mild in tobacco group and slight in cold bath group. Conclusion Rat model of CFRL has been established successfully in all of the three modeling groups, and in consideration with all respects, the method for tobacco group is the best.
