Objective:To explore Operating Room nurses' behavioral intentions regarding the implementation of isolation techniques in tumor surgery based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB) .Methods:This study was a qualitative research. A purposive sampling method was used to select 14 Operating Room nurses from the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University for semi-structured interviews from July to October 2023. An interview outline was developed based on TPB, and the Colaizzi 7-step method was used for data organization and analysis. Results:Among the 14 Operating Room nurses interviewed, two were male and 12 were female, with work experience ranging from one to 36 years and ages between 23 and 59 years. Based on TPB's three dimensions, including behavioral attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, eight themes were identified: positive evaluation, negative evaluation, pressure from Operating Room managers and colleagues, pressure from surgeons, pressure from patients, lack of cognitive and skill motivation, work-related stressors as barriers, and analysis of real-world difficulties. Conclusions:Operating Room nurses hold a positive evaluation of implementing isolation techniques in tumor surgery, and their behavioral intention is influenced by nursing managers, surgeons, colleagues, and patients. However, there are also barriers such as a lack of knowledge and skill motivation, multiple work-related stressors, and incomplete institutional processes and standards.

Objective:To investigate the effect of multiple-modality exercise on symptom clusters and nutritional status of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with radiotherapy. Methods:A total of 92 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients who received radiotherapy in the Panzhihua Center hospital were randomly divided into research group and control group, each group contained 46 cases. The control group received routine nursing and the research group received 4-week multiple-modality exercise. The scores of M.D. Anderson symptom inventory-head & neck module (MDASI-H&N), patient-generated subjective global assessment (PG-SGA) and other biochemical nutrition index were compared before and after intervention between two groups. Results:After intervention, the scores of fatigue, poor appetite, dry mouth, mouth/throat mucus, dysgeusia were 3.77±1.30, 3.48±1.22, 3.81±1.48, 4.24±0.83, 4.94±1.63 in the research group and 4.36±1.09, 4.52±1.25, 4.39±1.24, 4.24±0.83, 6.03±2.00 in the control group, respectively. Those scores were significantly decreased in the research group compared to the control group ( t value was 1.996-3.993, P<0.05). After 4 weeks of intervention, the PG-SGA total socres, body mass index, prealbumin, hemoglobin were 2.78±0.60, (22.08±2.61) kg/m 2, (199.60±27.16) mg/L, (105.59±17.62) g/L, those indexes were 4.14±1.08, (20.63±2.63) kg/m 2, (193.42±25.57) mg/L, (102.77±18.57) g/L, the total scores of PG-SGA were significantly decreased in the research group compared to the control group ( t value was 7.356, P<0.01). Conclusions:Multiple-modality exercise can alleviate symptom burden and promote nutritional status of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with radiotherapy.

Biodegradable polyamines have long been studied as potential recombinant viral gene vectors. Spermine (SPE) is an endogenous tetra-amine with excellent biocompatibility yet poor gene condensation capacity. We have previously synthesized a polyspermine based on SPE and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) diacrylate (SPE-alt-PEG) for enhanced transfection performance, but the synthesized SPE-alt-PEG still lacked specificity towards cancer cells. In this study, folic acid (FA) was incorporated into SPE-alt-PEG to fabricate a targeted gene delivery vector (FA-SPE-PEG) via an acylation reaction. FA-SPE-PEG exhibited mild cytotoxicity in both cancer cells and normal cells. FA-SPE-PEG possessed higher transfection efficiency than PEI 25 K and Lipofectamine(®) 2000 in two tested cancer cell lines at functional weight ratios, and its superiority over untargeted SPE-alt-PEG was prominent in cells with overexpressed folate receptors (FRs). Moreover, in vivo delivery of green fluorescent protein (GFP) with FA-SPE-PEG resulted in highest fluorescent signal intensity of all investigated groups. FA-SPE-PEG showed remarkably enhanced specificity towards cancer cells both in vivo and in vitro due to the interaction between FA and FRs. Taken together, FA-SPE-PEG was demonstrated to be a prospective targeted gene delivery vector with high transfection capacity and excellent biocompatibility.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and nursing experience of the mild moxibustion combined with acupoint massage therapy on the urinary retention patients after orthopedic surgery . Methods Sixty-eight urinary retention patients after orthopedic surgery from January 2012 to April 2013 were chosen and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table , each with 34 cases. The control group received the routine induced urination , and the observation group received the mild moxibustion combined with acupoint massage .The clinical efficacy , the significantly effective and effective times of micturition were observed and compared in two groups .Results The total effective rate , the significantly effective and effective times of micturition were respectively 85.3%, (21.0 ±5.0) min, (34.0 ±6.0) min in the observation group, and were 55.9%, (29.0 ±6.0) min, (39.0 ±7.0) min in the observation group, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2 =7.08,t=2.81,2.64, respectively;P<0.05).Conclusions The mild moxibustion combined with acupoint massage therapy on the urinary retention patients after orthopedic surgery can significantly increase the clinical efficacy , and improve the prognosis of patients , and is worthy of clinical promotion .
