ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of folic acid-modified crebanine polyethylene glycol-polylactic acid hydroxyacetic acid copolymer(PEG-PLGA) nanoparticles(FA-Cre@PEG-PLGA NPs, hereinafter referred to as NPs) combined with ultrasonic irradiation on subcutaneous tumor of liver cancer in Kunming(KM) mice. MethodsEighty-four healthy male KM mice were utilized to establish a subcutaneous tumor model of mouse hepatocellular carcinoma with H22 cells, then mice were randomly divided into model group, placebo group, hydroxycamptothecin group(8 mg∙kg-1), low, medium and high dose crebanine raw material groups(2, 2.5, 3 mg∙kg-1, hereinafter referred to as the low, medium and high dose crebanine groups, respectively), low, medium and high dose NPs groups(2, 2.5, 3 mg∙kg-1), and low, medium and high dose NPs combined with ultrasonic irradiation groups(2, 2.5, 3 mg∙kg-1, hereinafter referred to as the low, medium and high dose combination groups, respectively). The corresponding doses of drugs were administered via tail vein injection, the model group received no treatment, while the placebo group was injected with an equivalent amount of normal saline. Dosing was conducted for a total of 10 times on alternate days. The body mass of the mice was monitored, and parameters such as body mass change rate, thymus index, spleen index, tumor volume, tumor weight, relative tumor growth rate(T/C), and tumor inhibition rate(TGI) were calculated. Pathological changes in liver and kidney tissues as well as the tumor were observed by hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining. Additionally, the levels of aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT), blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and creatinine(CREA) in serum of mice were detected by biochemical method. Furthermore, the effect of ultrasound on the distribution of NPs in subcutaneous tumors of mouse hepatocellular carcinoma was observed by in vivo imaging technique. ResultsAmong different treatment methods, the combination of NPs and ultrasound irradiation had the best therapeutic effect. Compared with the model group, the body mass growth rates of mice in the medium and high combination groups decreased, while the thymus index and spleen index increased, but there was no statistically significant difference in serum AST, ALT, BUN and CREA levels, indicating that NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation had little effect on the normal physiological state of the body, oth groups had TGI>40% and T/C<60%, indicating a clear anti-tumor effect. Pathological analysis showed that compared with the NPs groups, the combination groups exhibited varying degrees of necrosis in tumor cells, accompanied by less damage to the liver and kidneys. In vivo imaging of small animals showed that compared with the high dose NPs group, the high dose combination group had stronger tumor targeting ability(P<0.01). ConclusionNPs combined with ultrasonic irradiation can not only effectively targeted the drug to the tumor site, inhibit the subcutaneous tumor growth of mouse liver cancer, but also decrease damage to liver and kidney tissues.

ObjectiveTo explore the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) chronic disease management programme in preventing postoperative recurrence of colorectal polyps. MethodsThe clinical data of 447 postoperative colorectal polyp patients were retrospectively collected, and the patients were divided into an exposure group and a control group taking the acceptance of TCM chronic disease management programme as exposure factor, and the polyp recurrence rate as the main outcome indicator, comparing the differences in baseline characteristics, outcome events, and safety assessment between the two groups, and conducting correlation analysis between the length of medication and polyp recurrence. Multifactorial logistic regression was used to analyse the effects of receiving the TCM chronic disease management programme (TCM treatment and life management for spleen deficiency and dampness stasis syndrome, dampness and stasis obstruction in collaterals syndrome, and intestinal dampness and heat syndrome), gender, age, co-morbidities, TCM syndrome, and dietary and exercise factors on the outcome events. ResultsAmong 257 postoperative patients with colorectal polyps, there were 172 in the exposure group and 85 in control group. The recurrence rate of polyps in exposure group was 22.7% (39/172), while the recurrence rate in control group was 57.6% (49/85), and the difference between groups was statistically significant (P<0.01). The diameter of recurrent polyps in exposure group (median= 4.0 mm) was smaller than that in control group (median= 5.0 mm, P<0.01). The correlation analysis between the duration of medication taking and the recurrence of polyps in the spleen deficiency and dampness stasis syndrome group showed Phi value as -0.345 (P<0.001); the correlation analysis within the group of dampness and stasis obstruction in collaterals syndrome showed Phi value as -0.361 (P<0.05), indicating a negative correlation between the duration of medication taking and polyp recurrence. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the positive effect of accepting TCM chronic disease management programme on preventing polyp recurrence is statistically significant (OR=0.224, P<0.01). ConclusionAccepting TCM chronic disease management programme for colorectal polyps can help reducing the recurrence rate after polyp surgery, which is a protective factor for patients to the outcome event.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the targeting effect of folic acid-modified crebanine nanoparticles (FA-Cre@PEG- PLGA NPs, hereinafter referred to as “NPs”) combined with ultrasound irradiation on M109 cells in vitro and in vivo after administration, and explore the anti-tumor mechanism. METHODS CCK-8 assay was used to detect the inhibitory effect of NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation on the proliferation of M109 cells, and the best ultrasound time was selected. Using human lung cancer A549 cells as a control, the targeting of NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation to M109 cells was evaluated by free folic acid blocking assay and cell uptake assay. The effects of NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation on the migration, invasion, apoptosis, cell cycle and reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels of M109 cells were detected by cell scratch test, Transwell chamber test and flow cytometry at 1 h after 958401536@qq.com administration; the changes of mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) were observed by fluorescence inverted microscope. A mouse subcutaneous tumor model of M109 cells was constructed, and the in vivo tumor targeting of NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation was investigated by small animal in vivo imaging technology. RESULTS NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation could significantly inhibit the proliferation of M109 cells, and the optimal ultrasound time was 1 h after administration. The free folic acid could antagonize the inhibitory effect of NPs on the proliferation of M109 cells, and combined with ultrasound irradiation could partially reverse this antagonism. Compared with A549 cells, the uptake rate of NPs in M109 cells was significantly higher (P<0.01), and ultrasound irradiation could promote cellular uptake. NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation could inhibit the migration and invasion of M109 cells and block the cell cycle in the G0/G1 and G2/M phases. Compared with control group, the apoptosis rate of M109 cells and ROS level were increased significantly (P<0.01), while the MMP decreased significantly (P<0.01) in the different concentration (100, 200, 300 μg/mL) groups of M109 cells. Compared with the mice in non-ultrasound group, the fluorescence intensity and tumor-targeting index of the tumor site in the 0 h ultrasound group were significantly enhanced (P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS NPs combined with ultrasound irradiation have a strong targeting effect on M109 cells in vitro and in vivo, the anti-tumor mechanism includes inhibiting cell migration and invasion, blocking cell cycle, and inducing apoptosis.

Objective:
To understand the association of physical exercise willingness and insomnia with depressive symptoms among college students, so as to provide reference for improving depressive symptoms of college students.
Methods:
From October 2022 to April 2023, cluster sampling was used to recruit 11 101 college students from four colleges in Anhui Province. The questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the willingness to engage in physical exercise, insomnia and depressive symptoms of college students. The multivariate Logistic regression model was used to analyze the association of physical exercise willingness and insomnia with depressive symptoms of college students.
Results:
The prevalence of depressive symptoms among college students was 9.24%. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that college students who were passive participants/non participants in physical activity, or who experienced insomnia, had a higher likelihood of depressive symptoms compared to those who were active participants or did not experience insomnia ( OR =1.84, 2.07, 4.02, all P <0.01). College students who were passive participants or non participants in physical activity and concurrently experienced insomnia had a higher risk of depressive symptoms compared with those who were active participants or did not experience insomnia ( OR =1.87-8.39, all P <0.01). Gender stratified analysis showed that the combined effect of passive physical exercise and insomnia increased the risk of depressive symptoms in both male ( OR = 1.81 -9.87) and female college students ( OR =1.67-7.39) (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
Both physical exercise willingness and insomnia are associated with depressive symptoms in college students. In order to improve the depressive symptoms of college students, it is necessary to improve the enthusiasm of physical exercise and strengthen the education of sleep health awareness.

Objective:To analyze the diagnostic value of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody titer in the serum of type O pregnant women after absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody for ABO hemolytic disease of fetus and newborn (ABO-HDFN).Methods:From February 2020 to September 2020,235 samples of neonatal hemolytic disease whose mother's blood type O from Beijing Blood Center were selected. The titer of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody in mother's serum before and after absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody was detected by microcolumn gel card, and the incidence of ABO-HDFN was statistically analyzed. The titer level of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody and the incidence of ABO-HDFN were compared before and after the absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody, and the diagnostic efficacy of the titer level of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody in the serum of type O pregnant women after the absorption of IgG anti-A and B antibodies on the incidence of ABO-HDFN was analyzed using the receiver's work characteristic (ROC)curve. Results:Of the 235 neonatal hyperbilirubinemia samples with maternal blood type O,127 were blood type A,38 of which were diagnosed as ABO-HDFN;108 were blood type B,of which 31 were diagnosed as ABO-HDFN.Before and after absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody, there was a significant difference in the titer of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody (P<0.05).Among the 69 confirmed cases, the incidence of ABO-HDFN increased with the increase of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody with or without the IgG anti-AB antibody, but the anti-A/anti-B antibody titer≥1:512 before the absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody, while the anti-A/anti-B antibody titer decreased significantly, decreasing by three titers,all≤1∶512.The ROC curve shows that the titers of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibodies before and after absorption of IgG anti-AB antibodies can be used as the efficacy indicators for the diagnosis of ABO-HDFN.However,there was a significant difference in the potency of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody titer for the diagnosis of ABO-HDFN before and after the absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody (P<0.05).The AUC values were greater than before absorption, indicating that the IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody after the absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody was better than before absorption (P<0.05).Conclusion:The higher the titer of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody measured after absorbing IgG anti-AB antibody, the higher the incidence of ABO-HDFN. In addition, the efficacy of IgG anti-A/anti-B antibody titer to diagnose ABO-HDFN after absorption of IgG anti-AB antibody is higher than that before absorption.
