In recent years, China’s capacity for new drug research and development has been significantly strengthened, with major breakthroughs across multiple therapeutic areas, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and metabolic disorders. An increasing number of domestically developed innovative drugs have been approved for marketing, gradually establishing a competitive position against imported drugs and expanding into global markets. This article systematically reviews the latest research progress of Class 1 innovative drugs in China from 2023 to 2024, categorizes representative approved drugs by therapeutic area, summarizes the clinical advantages and characteristics of representative drugs approved, analyzes in depth the current development trends of and challenges for China’s innovative pharmaceutical industry, and explores future directions, aiming to provide some reference for innovative drug research, industrial development, and policy-making in China.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and medical costs of high ligation and stripping of the great saphenous vein,simple foam sclerotherapy,and high ligation of the great saphenous vein combined with foam sclerotherapy for treating varicose of great saphenous vein.Methods The clinical data of patients with varicose of great saphenous vein undergoing high ligation and stripping of the great saphenous vein,simple foam sclerotherapy,or high ligation of the great saphenous vein combined with foam sclerotherapy were analyzed retrospectively.The evaluation included efficacy assessment,quality of life evaluation,hospitalization days and costs,postoperative complications,and recurrence after surgery.Results There were no statistical differences in gender,age,disease course and clinical etiology anatomy pathophysiology(CEAP)grading system among the three groups(P＞0.05).The clinical efficacy assessments in all patients among the three groups showed significant effects at 3 and 6 months postoperatively.One patient in the group treated with high ligation of the great saphenous vein combined with foam sclerotherapy suffered deep vein thrombosis of lower extremity after operation.In terms of quality of life,there was no statistically significant difference in venous clinical severity score(VCSS)among the three groups at 3 months postoperatively(P＞0.05).The group treated with simple foam sclerotherapy showed significantly shorter hospitalization days compared with the other two groups.Additionally,the group treated with simple foam sclerotherapy showed lower hospitalization expenses,which was not statistically significant when compared to the group treated with high ligation and stripping of the great saphenous vein group(P＞0.05),but there was a statistical difference compared to the group treated with high ligation of the great saphenous vein combined with foam sclerotherapy(P＜0.05).Conclusion There are no significant differences in clinical efficacy,postoperative pain,and quality of life evaluation among the three methods.However,simple foam scle-rotherapy may reduce the length of hospitalization stay and direct medical costs.

Objective:To construct an integrated management model for early screening and diagnosis of PCa based on the In-novative Care for Chronic Conditions Framework(ICCC)and the 1+1 contract-based tiered diagnosis and treatment system(TDTS)in China.Methods:Based on the 1+1 contract-based TDTS platform,we conducted PCa screening for the male residents aged 60 years and above during health check-ups in Pujin Community Health Center from January 1,2023 to December 31,2023.For those with abnormal total prostate-specific antigen(tPSA)≥4 μg/L,we promptly referred them to higher-level hospitals for further diagno-sis and treatment via the two-way referral green channel platform and information sharing service using the 1+1 contract model.We further analyzed the relevant data on screening and diagnosis.Results:A total of 4 080 males aged 71.39±5.059 years received PCa screening from January to December 2023.PSA screening was performed in 43.96％of the male residents,revealing 654 cases of PSA abnormality,with a PSA positivity rate of 16.03％,which was higher than that found in the previous large-scale PCa screenings in other regions of China.Among the males with PSA abnormality,292(44.65％)expressed their willingness for medical referral,while the others did not seek further medical attention for reasons of being asymptomatic,low awareness of the disease,no accompany for medical visits,and concerns about further costs of diagnosis and treatment.Prostate biopsy was recommended to 154 cases after further examinations,which was accepted by 92(59.74％).Fifty-eight cases were diagnosed with Pa,and thedetection rate reached 63.04％.Conclusion:The integrated management model for PSA examination-based early screening and diagnosis of PCa using the 1+1 contract-based TDTS platform is plays a significant role in enhancing peoples awareness and knowledge of PCa and improving the early detection rate of the malignancy.

Objective To analyze the relationship between obesity indicators,muscle mass indices and hypertension in Dongxiang adults,and establish and evaluate a Nomogram model based on these indicators used to predict the risk of hypertension in this population.Methods A total of 1209 Dongxiang adults from Linxia Prefecture,Gansu Province were selected,11 obesity indicators and 5 muscle mass indicators,including neck circumference(NC),waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),BMI,ponderal index(PI),conicity index(CI),a body shape index(ABSI),body roundness index(BRI),abdominal volume index(AVI),hip index(HI),body adiposity index(BAI),and the ratio of limb fat mass to body weight(LFWR),appendicular skeletal muscle mass(ASM),appendicular skeletal muscle mass index(ASMI),appendicular skeletal muscle mass to BMI ratio(ASMBMI),skeletal muscle index(SMI),and trunk muscle mass to body weight ratio(TMWR)were measured.Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between each indicator and hypertension.Nomogram prediction model was constructed and validated by using R language.Results Among Dongxiang males,the NC,BMI,PI,WHR,CI,AVI,BRI,BAI,ASM,ASMI,and LFWR were lower in the normal and high-normal blood pressure groups compared to the hypertensive group,while SMI,ASMBMI,and TMWR were higher.Among females,similar trends were observed,with lower NC,BMI,PI,WHR,CI,AVI,BRI,BAI,and LFWR in the normal blood pressure and high-normal blood pressure groups compared to the hypertensive group,but SMI,ASMBMI,and TMWR higher than the hypertensive group(P＜0.05).Results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that age,NC,and WHR were risk factors for hypertension in Dongxiang adults,while was protective factor(P＜0.05).The area under curve(AUC)of the Nomogram model constructed based on these factors was 0.796,and the Bootstrap internal validation C-index was 0.7957,indicating good calibration of the model.Conclusion The Nomogram model constructed based on obesity and muscle mass indicators has good predictive efficiency for predicting the risk of hypertension in Dongxiang adults.

Objective To understand the implementation status of"Diagnosis of Ascariasis"(WS/T 565-2017)and provide a scientific basis for promoting,revising,and improving the Standard.Methods Using the convenient sampling method,the investigation targeted professional and technical personnel at the provincial,city,county,and township levels engaged in parasitic disease prevention,control,or diagnosis and treatment in Anhui and Sichuan provinces.No less than 150 individuals were included in each province.The implementation survey of Diagnosis of Ascariasis(WS/T 565-2017)was conducted by the subjects completing a questionnaire by themselves.Results The response rate to the questionnaire was 91.90%(386/420).The awareness and utilization rates of the Standard were 81.87%and 49.22%,respectively and both increased with age(χ2 trend=7.977 and 19.016,respectively,P＜0.01).Respondents with college degrees(90.72%)had a higher awareness rate(χ2=8.619,P＜0.05).In terms of utilization rate,males(58.38%),those with college degrees(67.01%),staff members of provincial-level units(77.78%),and personnel in medical institutions(71.43%)had higher utilization rates(χ2=13.486,17.166,8.426,and 5.956,respectively,all P＜0.05).The survey indicated that 57.77%of the work units of respondents have conducted promotional activities,and 53.89%of the work units of respondents have sent personnel to participate in training.Moreover,this proportion tended to increase as the unit level decreased(χ2 trend=9.403 and 14.729,P＜0.01).The level of participation in publicity and training by medical institutions(89.29%)was significantly higher than that of disease control institutions(55.31%and 51.12%,respectively,χ2=12.290 and 15.225,P＜0.01).Furthermore,training participation is a crucial factor in enhancing awareness rates.A total of 368 respondents(95.34%)reported that their work units have conducted testing for ascariasis.Additionally,378 individuals(97.92%)believe that the Standard is"applicable"or"basically applicable,"while 369(95.60%)felt that no revisions were needed.Conclusions The results indicated that"Diagnosis of Ascariasis"(WS/T 565-2017)remains applicable to the diagnostic needs of ascariasis and it is recommended to strengthen its promotion and implementation.

Radiochemotherapy-induced oral mucositis (OM) is a common oral complication in patients with tumors following head and neck radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Erosion and ulcers are the main features of OM that seriously affect the quality of life of patients and even the progress of tumor treatment. To date, differences in clinical prevention and treatment plans for OM have been noted among doctors of various specialties, which has increased the uncertainty of treatment effects. On the basis of current research evidence, this expert consensus outlines risk factors, clinical manifestations, clinical grading, ancillary examinations, diagnostic basis, prevention and treatment strategies and efficacy indicators for OM. In addition to strategies such as basic oral care, anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents, anti-infective agents, pro-healing agents, and photobiotherapy recommended in previous guidelines, we also emphasize the role of traditional Chinese medicine in OM prevention and treatment. This expert consensus aims to provide references and guidance for dental physicians and oncologists in formulating strategies for OM prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, standardizing clinical practice, reducing OM occurrence, promoting healing, and improving the quality of life of patients.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of positron emission tomography(PET)/computed tomography(CT)and bone marrow biopsy(BMB)for bone marrow infiltration in common non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL).Methods We retrospectively analyzed data from 197 patients with NHL and compared the diagnostic value of PET/CT and BMB for bone marrow infiltration.Differences in PET/CT parameters and serological test results were compared between PET/CT-positive and PET/CT-negative patients as well as between BMB-positive and BMB-negative patients.Results In patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL),the sensitivities of PET/CT and BMB for detecting bone marrow infiltration were 90.5%and 66.7%,and the specificities were 95.1%and 100.0%,respectively.In patients with follicular lymphoma(FL),the sensitivities were 63.6%and 81.8%,and the specificities were 98.1%and 100.0%,respec-tively.In patients with T-cell lymphoma(TCL),the sensitivities were 60.0%and 80.0%,and the specificities were 88.0%and 100.0%,respectively.Among patients with DLBCL and TCL,significant differences were observed in platelet count and lactate dehydrogenase levels between PET/CT-positive and PET/CT-negative patients(P<0.05).Conclusion PET/CT showed excellent diagnostic perfor-mance for evaluating bone marrow infiltration in DLBCL.PET/CT had limited sensitivity for FL and TCL and might serve as a supplemen-tary tool for BMB.Platelet count and lactate dehydrogenase levels may aid in the diagnosis of bone marrow infiltration in DLBCL and TCL.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to explore the association between body mass index (BMI) and mortality based on the 10-year population-based multicenter prospective study. METHODS: A general population-based multicenter prospective study was conducted at four sites in rural China between 2013 and 2023. Multivariate Cox proportional hazards models and restricted cubic spline analyses were used to assess the association between BMI and mortality. Stratified analyses were performed based on the individual characteristics of the participants. RESULTS: Overall, 19,107 participants with a sum of 163,095 person-years were included and 1,910 participants died. The underweight (< 18.5 kg/m ²) presented an increase in all-cause mortality (adjusted hazards ratio [ aHR] = 2.00, 95% confidence interval [ CI]: 1.66-2.41), while overweight (≥ 24.0 to < 28.0 kg/m ²) and obesity (≥ 28.0 kg/m ²) presented a decrease with an aHR of 0.61 (95% CI: 0.52-0.73) and 0.51 (95% CI: 0.37-0.70), respectively. Overweight ( aHR = 0.76, 95% CI: 0.67-0.86) and mild obesity ( aHR = 0.72, 95% CI: 0.59-0.87) had a positive impact on mortality in people older than 60 years. All-cause mortality decreased rapidly until reaching a BMI of 25.7 kg/m ² ( aHR = 0.95, 95% CI: 0.92-0.98) and increased slightly above that value, indicating a U-shaped association. The beneficial impact of being overweight on mortality was robust in most subgroups and sensitivity analyses. CONCLUSION This study provides additional evidence that overweight and mild obesity may be inversely related to the risk of death in individuals older than 60 years. Therefore, it is essential to consider age differences when formulating health and weight management strategies.

Calcineurin B-like protein (CBL)-interacting protein kinases (CIPKs) are a group of Ser/Thr protein kinases, playing a crucial role in the growth, development, and stress responses of plants. CIPKs can undergo autophosphorylation or target the phosphorylation of other signaling factors in responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. In addition, they are involved in the signaling pathways of plant hormones such as abscisic acid (ABA), gibberellic acid (GA), ethylene (ETH), and salicylic acid (SA) to regulate plant growth and development. Furthermore, CIPKs respond to stresses such as salinity, drought, cold, and heavy metals by forming complexes through specific interactions with CBLs. In this study, we summarized the discovery, structures, classification, regulatory mechanisms, and roles of CIPKs in plant responses to stresses and made an outlook on the future research directions. This review is expected to provide genetic resources and theoretical foundations for the genetic improvement and breeding of crops with stress tolerance.
