OBJECTIVE: To analyze the disease patterns and acupoint selection characteristics of acupuncture for epilepsy in ancient acupuncture texts, providing references and ideas for clinical acupuncture treatment of epilepsy. METHODS: Texts from the Chinese Medical Classics (5th edition) regarding acupuncture for epilepsy are reviewed. The frequency of acupoints, meridian association, distribution, specific points, corresponding epilepsy subtypes, and needling techniques are statistically analyzed. The Apriori algorithm is used for association rule analysis, and a complex network analysis is conducted for high-frequency acupoints and their corresponding subtypes and treatments. RESULTS: A total of 205 acupuncture prescriptions are identified. Ancient texts favored differentiation-based treatments for epilepsy, primarily classified into epilepsy, wind epilepsy, and five epilepsy. Commonly used acupoints include Baihui (GV20), Jiuwei (CV15), Shenmen (HT7), Shenting (GV24), and Xinshu (BL15), with a focus on the acupoints of the governor vessel, the bladder meridian, and the conception vessel. The acupoints on the head, face are combined with the acupoints on the limbs, with skillful use of the five-shu points and intersection acupoints. The most frequent combinations are Shenmen (HT7)-Baihui (GV20), Shenting (GV24)-Baihui (GV20), and Xinshu (BL15)-Shenmen (HT7). Visual network analysis revealed that Baihui (GV20)-Shenting (GV24), Baihui (GV20)-Shenmen (HT7), and Baihui (GV20)-Zhaohai (KI6) are core acupoint combinations. Treatment mainly involved moxibustion or combined acupuncture and moxibustion. CONCLUSION The acupoint selection for epilepsy treatment in ancient texts is precise, frequently using Baihui (GV20), Jiuwei (CV15), Shenmen (HT7), Shenting (GV24), and Xinshu (BL15), etc., with emphasis on calming epilepsy, awakening the spirit, relaxing tendons, and nourishing the heart.

Objective To explore the level of inflammatory factors and their correlation with prognosis in chronic cervicitis patients with human papillomavirus(HPV)infection.Methods Totally 100 patients from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the observation group.Among them,67 patients were 100 patients with low-risk HPV and 33 patients with high-risk HPV.At the same time,100 female personnel with physical examination in our hospital were selected as the control group.All of the patients were treated routinely.The C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin(IL)-6,and serum amyloid A(SAA)levels were measured,and the patients were followed up for 6 months after treatment to observe the prognosis.Results Compared with the control group,The expression of CRP,IL-6 and SAA level increased in the observation group(P<0.05),Compared with the low-risk HPV group,The expression of CRP,IL-6 and SAA level increased in high-risk HPV group(P<0.05).Compared with patients with a good prognosis,Higher expression of CRP,IL-6 and SAA in patients with poor prognosis(P<0.05).The positive correlation between CRP,IL-6,SAA and low-risk HPV and high-risk HPV,Statistical difference(P<0.05).Negative correlation between CRP,IL-6,SAA and good prognosis,All showed a positive correlation between CRP,IL-6,and SAA and poor prognosis,There were statistical differences(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis showed that the diagnostic value of CRP,IL-6 and SAA(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with chronic cervicitis have increased CRP,IL-6 and SAA in HPV infection,and the abnormal increased or decreased expression level is the risk predictor of chronic cervicitis with HPV infection,which may be closely related to the diagnosis of the disease,pathological characteristics,disease development and prognosis.

Objective To compare the clinical results of laparoscopic spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy (LSPDP) and open spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy (OSPDP).Methods From Jan 2014 to Aug 2017,the clinical results of 30 patients undergoing LSPDP were compared with those of 20 OSPDP patients.The postoperative pancreatic fistula rate was the main observation index.Results There was significant difference in operation time [(140.33 ±55.93) min vs.(182.71 ±43.51)min],blood loss [(175.61 ± 180.78) ml vs.(253.51 ± 176.06) ml],postoperative hospital stay [(6.16 ± 7.22) d vs.(8.85 ± 9.36) d],postoperative exhaust [(2.17 ± 1.43) d vs.(3.10 ± 1.89) d],and postoperative feeding time [(2.26 ± 1.78)d vs.(3.42 ±2.01)d] between LSPDP and OSPDP.LSPDP group was better than OSPDP group (all P ＜ 0.05).The rate of postoperative pancreatic fistula (66.7％ vs.70.0％) and overall complications (80％ vs.90.0％) were not statistically different between the two groups.Pancreatic leakage occurred in 20 cases,lung infection in 1 case,peritoneal infection in 1 case and chylous leakage in one case in LSPDP group,while pancreatic leakage in 14 cases,lung infection in 2 cases,and peritoneal infection in 2 cases in OSPDP group,all were cured by conservative therapy.Conclusions LSPDP is a safe,effective,less traumatic and more economic surgical approach for benign cystic tumors located at the body or tail of the pancreas.
