Objective To integrate and optimize the hospital adverse event reporting system,and to enhance the repor-ting rate of medical safety adverse events by using PDCA cycle management method.Achieve closed-loop management of adverse events,improve the efficiency of adverse event management in the hospital,assist in hospital grading review and-quality develop-ment,and reduce the mortality rate of low-risk groups in the hospital.Methods Based on the SPO theory,the quality control circle,PDCA management,flow chart and description method were used,and combined with the previous adverse event manage-ment experience,the adverse event reporting and tracking process was simplified,and adverse event management information platform was optimized and restructured.The period from January to December 2023(control group)and the period from January to 2024(observation group)were compared and analyzed for the number of adverse event reports per 100 discharges and the mor-tality rate of the low-risk group before and after the implementation of PDCA cycle management.Results The application of PDCA cycle management effectively improved the reporting rate of medical safety adverse events and reduced the mortality rate of the hospital's low-risk group.Conclusion The integrated and designed adverse event management system has good applicability and can be promoted for use in hospital management.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of hypothermia therapy in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE)through the analysis of amplitude-integrated electroencephalography.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 59 neonates with moderate to severe HIE.They were divided into observation group(n=31,hypothermia therapy)and control group(n=28,conventional therapy)according to different treatment protocols.Chi-square test,independent sample t-test,and one-factor Mann-Whitney U test were used for intergroup difference analysis.Results Significant differences between two groups were observed in lower boundary amplitude after 24 h of treatment,sleep-awake cycle after 72 h of treatment,and total scores after 72 h of treatment(P<0.05).After 48 and 72 h of treatment,the neonates in hypothermia therapy group had obviously lower neuro-specific enolase level than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early application of hypothermia therapy can significantly improve cerebral function in neonates with HIE and lower the neuro-specific enolase level.

Droplet microfluidics technology offers refined control over the flows of multiple fluids in micro/nano-scale, enabling fabrication of micro/nano-droplets with precisely adjustable structures and compositions in a high-throughput manner. With the combination of proper hydrogel materials and preparation methods, single or multiple cells can be efficiently encapsulated into hydrogels to produce cell-loaded hydrogel microspheres. The cell-loaded hydrogel microspheres can provide a three-dimensional, relatively independent and controllable microenvironment for cell proliferation and differentiation, which is of great value for three-dimensional cell culture, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, stem cell research, single cell study and many other biological science fields. In this review, the preparation methods of cell-loaded hydrogel microspheres based on droplet microfluidics and its applications in biomedical field are summarized and future prospects are proposed.

Objective:To use quantitative computed tomography (QCT) technology to measure the bone mineral density of the spine of the Chinese healthy population, and to explore its correlation with hemoglobin and serum albumin.Methods:The data in this study came from the China Health Quantitative CT Big Data Project (China Biobank). The spine bone density was measured by using QCT Pro Image Analysis System and all cooperating centers used the European spine phantom (NO.145) for quality control. Total of 50 053 healthy persons who met the criteria for entry were selected as the research subjects. The subjects were divided into 7 groups according to age. The general data, spine bone density, serum albumin, hemoglobin of the subjects were collected. The single-factor analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis and multi-classification logistic regression model were applied to analyze the correlation between bone density and hemoglobin and serum albumin.Results:The bone mineral density of healthy people decreased with age ( P<0.05), and there were significant differences in hemoglobin, serum albumin and body mass index (BMI) among different age groups (all P<0.05). Linear correlation analysis showed that there were positive correlation between bone mineral density and hemoglobin in healthy males in different age groups ( r=0.086, 0.101, 0.076, 0.090, 0.072, 0.123, 0.100, all P<0.01). There were negative correlation between bone mineral density and hemoglobin in certain age groups in women (40-49 years group: r=-0.027; 70-79 yearsgroup: r=-0.077; both P<0.05). And corelation were found between bone mineral density and serum levels of albumin in certain age groups of healthy subjects (among men, 30-39 years group: r=-0.048; 40-49 years group, r=-0.027; 70-79 years group, r=-0.051; among women, 30-39 years group: r=-0.044; 40-49 years group, r=-0.042; 50-59 years group, r=-0.086; 70-79 years group, r=-0.070; all P<0.05). After adjusting for age and BMI, the multi-category logistic regression analysis showed that the hemoglobin level was protective factor of normal bone density ( OR=1.022, 95% CI:1.017-1.027) and decreased bone density ( OR=1.012, 95% CI:1.007-1.016) in healthy males, and the serum albumin was risk factor for normal bone density ( OR=0.926, 95% CI:0.905-0.948) and decreased bone density ( OR=1.006, 95% CI:0.951-1.011) in healthy women. Conclusion:There is a correlation between bone mineral density and hemoglobin and serum albumin in Chinese healthy population. Hemoglobin is a protective factor for bone mineral density in men, and serum albumin is a risk factor for bone mineral densityin women.

Objective:To understand the characteristics of the HIV-1 molecular networks in injected drug users (IDUs) in Guangzhou from 2008 to 2017, and provide reference for the prevention and control of AIDS in this population.Methods:The serum samples of newly diagnosed HIV-1 positive IDUs in Guangzhou from 2008 to 2017 were collected, HIV-1 RNA was extracted for pol gene amplification and sequencing. The molecular cluster in the phylogenetic tree was identified by Cluster Picker 1.2.3 for cluster analysis. TN93 model in HyPhy2.2.4 was used to calculate the gene distance between the cluster sequences. Software Cytoscape3.8.2 was used to visualize the molecular network, and χ2 test or exact probability method was used for cluster analysis and centrality analysis. Results:A total of 586 sequences were successfully amplified (73.9%, 586/793), and 80 molecular clusters were produced, with a clustering rate of 46.6% (273/586). In molecular clusters, the proportions of the strains from IDUs in Han ethnic group (48.4%, 260/537), IDUs who were local residents in Guangdong (52.7%, 146/277) and IDUs whose strain sequence subtype was CRF55_01B (93.3%, 14/15) were higher. In the molecular network, the degree range was 1-7, and nodes with degree ≥3 accounted for 12.8% (24/187), which was associated with another 81 nodes in the molecular network (43.3%, 81/187). The centrality analysis showed that the proportions of housework/unemployed with high degree centrality (19.0%, 19/100), high intermediary (22.0%, 22/100), and high proximity centrality (32.0%, 32/100) were higher in IDUs infected with HIV-1.Conclusion:The risk of HIV-1 clustering in IDUs in Guangzhou was high, suggesting that IDUs who were from both Guangdong and Guangxi and were house workers or unemployed should be viewed as the key targets, and precise intervention should be implemented to reduce the HIV-1 infection rate in this population.

Objective: To investigate the effect of teach-back on the compliance of mouth-opening training in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy. Methods: Eighty patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University were selected. They were divided into intervention group and control group according to the random number table method. The intervention group used the teach-back method for health education, and the control group used conventional methods for health education. The knowledge mastery of mouth-opening training, the degree of compliance with mouth-opening training and the difficulty of mouth opening were compared between the two groups. Results: Within 1 week of the intervention group, the complete mastery rate, partial mastery rate, and unmastered rate was 77.5% (31/40), 17.5% (7/40), and 5.0% (2/40), respectively, within 2 weeks, that was 97.5% (39/40), 2.5% (1/40), 0. Within 1 week of the control group was 65.0% (26/40), 10.0% (4/40), 25.0% (10/40), respectively, within 2 weeks, that was 75.0% (30/40), 20.0% (8/40), and 5.0% (2/40). The knowledge mastery of mouth-opening training in the intervention group was higher than that in the control group within 1 week and 2 weeks, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ²=6.590, 8.618, P<0.05). At the end of radiotherapy, the complete compliance rate, partial compliance rate, and non-compliance rate of the intervention group was 90.0% (36/40), 10.0% (4/40), 0, respectively. After 3 months of radiotherapy, the rate was 75.0% (30/40), 22.5% (9/40), 2.5% (1/40). At the end of 6 months of radiotherapy, the rate was 60.0% (24/40),30.0% (12/40) and 10.0% (4/40). At the end of the radiotherapy, the control group was 70.0% (28/40), 20.0% (8/40), and 10.0% (4/40), respectively. After 3 months of radiotherapy, the rate was 40.0% (16/40), 45.0% (18/40) and 15.0% (6/40). After 6 months of radiotherapy, the rate was 20.0% (4/40), 40.0% (16/40), and 40.0% (16/40). The compliance of the intervention group at the end of radiotherapy, 3 months after radiotherapy, and 6 months after radiotherapy was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (χ²=5.986, 10.615, 15.771, P<0.05 or 0.01). In the intervention group, the incidence of Ⅰ degree, Ⅱ degree, Ⅲ degree and Ⅳ degree difficulty of mouth opening after 6 months of radiotherapy was 10.0% (4/40), 5.0% (2/40), 0, 0, respectively, and the control group was 15.0% (6/40), 15.0% (6/40), 2.5% (1/40), 2.5% (1/40), the incidence of difficulty of mouth opening of the intervention group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (Z=15.737, P<0.01). Conclusions Teach-back can effectively improve the mastery of patients′ mouth-opening training knowledge and the compliance of mouth-opening training, which is beneficial to reduce the incidence of mouth-opening difficulties in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma. It is worthy of clinical promotion.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of neuronavigation assisted endoscopic surgery in treatment of patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods Fifty patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage, admitted to our hospital from June 2014 to June 2016, were selected. All patients were treated with neuronavigation guided endoscopic surgery. Their clinical data and surgical efficacies were retrospectively analyzed. Results Patients' head CT was reviewed 6 h after operation, and residual hematoma volume was less than 15％among 31 patients, and in the ranges of 15％-30％among 14 patients. Re-bleeding occurred in 4 patients, and death in one patient. Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) of 49 patients 6 months after operation indicated vegetative state in 5 patients, severe disability in 9, moderate disability in 10, and good recovery in 25. Conclusion Neuronavigation assisted endoscopic surgery has good clinical effect on patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage in terms of few complications and high safety, so it is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy and influential factors for 308 nm excimer laser in the treatment of stable vitiligo patients.
 METHODS: A total of 207 stable vitiligo patients with 1 763 patches were treated with 308 nm excimer laser. Open-label study was carried out to investigate the efficacy and safety regarding the treatment with 308 nm excimer laser, and to compare the response under different conditions including gender, age, duration, lesion location, and hair color.
 RESULTS: After treatment, 560 (31.8%) patches achieved 100% repigmentation, 650 (36.9%) lesions showed 75%-99% repigmentation, 189(10.7%) showed 50%-75% repigmentation, 231(13.1%) showed 25%-49% repigmentation, 108(6.1%) showed 1%-24% repigmentation, 25(1.4%) displayed no response. The rates of total excellent response (50%-100% repigmentation) in underage patients was 86.9%, much higher than that in adult patients (P<0.001). Total excellent response rates was 90.6% in disease duration <2 years, and 40.7% in disease duration ≥2 years. Lesions on the faciocervical region responded better than trunk and limbs, showing 95.4%, 70.3%, and 41.7% total excellent response, respectively. Patients with poliosis showed 54.9% in total excellent response rate, much lower than 84.5% in patients without poliosis(P<0.001). No significant response differences in gender were found.
 CONCLUSION 308 nm excimer laser is effective and safe in treatment of vitiligo. Aging, disease duration, lesion location, and hair color in lesion may be the influential factors for 308 nm excimer laser in treatment of vitiligo patients.

Serum levels of CXC chemokine ligand 10 (CXCL10) and chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3) were determined in 50 patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1 DM) and 30 normal control subjects by ELISA method.The results showed that serum levels of CXCL10 and CXCR3 in T1DM patients were significantly higher than those in normal subjects [(258.17 ± 39.12 vs 96.47 ± 26.91) ng/L,(851.87 ± 70.04 vs 441.82 ± 72.24) pg/ml,both P＜0.05].Serum level of CXCL10 in patients dropped sequentially with durations of diabetes ＜6 weeks,≥6 weeks or ＜3 years,and ≥ 3 years,being statistically significant between groups (P＜0.05).These results suggest that serum levels of CXC10 and CXCR3 may reflect the immune activity in T1DM.
