Objective To explore the perioperative therapeutic effects and follow-up manage-ment in 16 patients with left ventricular assist device(LVAD)implantation. Methods A retrospec-tive analysis was conducted in data of 16 patients who underwent LVAD implantation in the depart-ment of cardiovascular surgery.Data of 6-minute walk test(6MWT),European Quality of Life-5 Di-mension-5 Levels(EQ-5D-5L),New York Heart Association(NYHA)classification,echocardio-graphy,chest radiography, cardiothoracic ratio, and occurrence of complications(infection,bleed-ing,thrombosis,right heart failure, neurological issues)were collected via the electronic medical re-cord system before surgery and at 30,60,and 90 days postoperatively. Results All patients sur-vived with the pump at 90 days postoperatively. One patient with preoperative renal insufficiency un-derwent dialysis and received a heart transplant after 8 months. One patient developed a sterile granu-loma at the percutaneous lead site on the abdominal wall, which improved after treatment,no complica-tions occurred in other patients. At 90 days postoperatively, there was no statistically significant differ-ence in the right ventricular area change fraction and tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion com-pared with preoperative values(P>0.05).The left ventricular ejection fraction, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, and cardiothoracic ratio showed significant improvement compared with preoperative levels(P<0.05).At 30 days postoperatively,30%of patients recovered to NYHA class Ⅰ and 70%to class Ⅱ;at 60 days,80%of patients to class Ⅰ and 20%to class Ⅱ;at 90 days,90%to classⅠ and 10%to class Ⅱ.The 6MWT and EQ-5D-5L scores of patients significantly increased within 90 days postoperatively(P<0.01).Conclusion Through rigorous preoperative assessment by a multidisciplinary LVAD team, refinement of surgical techniques, and comprehensive management during hospitalization,self-management before discharge, daily follow-up after discharge, and fol-low-up management upon returning to the hospital for patients with LVAD implantation, the cardiac function and quality of life of patients are significantly improved at 90 days postoperatively.

Objective To study dynamic change for the prevalence of the hyperlipidemia and the plasma lipids level of staff and workers in group in China Ocean Petroleum so as to provide the evidence for the prevention of the patients suffered from hyperlipidemia. Method Four thousand eight hundred and nin-ty-nine workers fmished blood fat test and blood fat data separately for two times in 1998 and 2004. Results The TC average value of males rose to (5.68 ± 0.99) mmol/L from (5.46 ± 1.08) mmol/L and the TC av-erage value of females rose to (5.79 ± 0.99) mmol/L from (5.42 ± 1.04) mmol/L,both were statistical sig-nificant difference(P < 0.01 ).The TG average value of males rose to ( 1.65 ± 1.31 ) mmol/L from ( 1.48 ± 1.29) mmol/L and the TG average value of females rose to (1.46 ± 1.09) mmol/L from (1.28 ± 1.17) mmol/L,both were statistical significant difference (P < 0.01 ). The gross hyperlipidemia,HTC,HTG rate rose to 58.9%,45.1%,32.4% from 46.2%,32.1%,25.7% for the males and those rose to 58.0%,49.6%,26.2% from 42.0%,31.2%,19.3% for the females ,all were statistical significant difference (P < 0.01 ).After 6 years, the males control rate of the HTC and HTG were 27.5% and 29.9%,the females control rate of the HTC and HTG were 25.1% and 34.0%. Conclusions The staff and workers suffered from high hyperlipidemia and lipid level is higher in man group in China Ocean Petroleum and also faster. Treatment control rate of hyperlipidemia was very lower .Therefore, the prevention measure must be taken as fast as possible to reduce lipid level and hyperlipidemia patient's rate actively and improve control rate.

Objective To investigate the effect of pancreatic transplantion(PTA) using diverse operative (methods) in rats. Method Inbred SD rats were used as donor and recipient, and were randomly assigned (into) 4 groups:Normal control group( Group NC), consisted of 10 rats;diabetes group(Group DC) consisted of 10 rats;PTA with enteric drainage group(Group E-D), consisted of 22 diabetic rats;PTA using bladder reconstruction group(group B-D), consisted of 22 rats.Arterial supply of transplanted pancreas was (performed) by using end-to-side anastomosis of the donors' abdominal aorta(with splenic artery) and (recipients)′ abdominal aorta; and venous drainage was performed by using end-to-end anastomosis of the (donors)' portal vein segment(with splenic vein) and (recipients)′ left renal vein(cuff method). The fasting blood glucose, body weight, food intake, water intake and urine volume of the recipient were monitored before transplantation and on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 30th day after operation, and also the reasons of failures were analyzed. Results The operative time of recipient in E-D group was significantly longer than that in B-D group(P
