Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and spatial-temporal clustering of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province from 2011 to 2024, so as to provide a basis for optimizing local SFTS prevention and control strategies, and identifying high-risk areas and key populations. Methods: Data on SFTS incidence and deaths in Huai'an City from 2011 to 2024 were collected from the Infectious Disease Reporting Information System of the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System. The reported incidence, mortality, and fatality rates were calculated. Descriptive analysis was performed on temporal, population, and regional distribution. The average annual percent change (AAPC) was used to analyze the trend in the reported incidence of SFTS. Global and local spatial autocorrelation analyses were employed to examine the spatial distribution patterns and spatial association patterns of SFTS incidence while spatio-temporal scanning analyses was used to assess the spatial-temporal clustering of SFTS. Results: A total of 337 SFTS cases were reported in Huai'an City from 2011 to 2024, with the reported incidence rising from 0.17/100 000 to 1.88/100 000. There were 20 deaths, with an average annual mortality of 0.03/100 000, and a fatality rate of 5.93%. The incidence showed obvious seasonality, with a peak in May and June (148 cases, accounting for 43.92%). Spring and summer accounted for 107 cases (31.75%) and 159 cases (47.18%), respectively. The reported SFTS cases were mainly male, farmers, and individuals aged ≥41 years, accounting for 56.38%, 79.23%, and 96.74%, respectively. The population distribution of death cases was basically consistent with that of incident cases. Xuyi County was a high-incidence area, with a total of 332 reported cases, accounting for 98.52%. All death cases were reported in this county. Spatial autocorrelation analyses revealed a positive spatial correlation in SFTS incidence from 2019 to 2024, with Moran's I values ranging from 0.214 to 0.336 (all P<0.05). Heqiao Town, Tianquanhu Town, and Guiwu Town in Xuyi County were identified as high-high clustering areas. Spatio-temporal scanning analyses showed that cluster 1 was consistent with the high-high clustering areas, with an aggregation time from the second quarter of 2019 to the second quarter of 2022. Conclusions From 2011 to 2024, the reported incidence of SFTS in Huai'an City showed an upward trend, with a high incidence in spring and summer. Males, farmers, and the middle-aged and elderly population were the key populations for prevention and control. Xuyi County was the key area for prevention and control.

Eucommiae Cortex, the dried bark of Eucommia ulmoides( Eucommiaceae), has both medicinal and edible values.Modern research has shown that Eucommiae Cortex contains various components such as flavonoids, lignans, iridoids, phenolic acids,terpenoids, and steroids, which have anti-osteoporosis, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, blood glucose-lowering, and gastrointestinal tract-protecting effects. Eucommiae Cortex has applications in multiple fields such as healthcare, industry, and animal husbandry,demonstrating broad development prospects. This article reviews the chemical constituents, pharmacological effects, and quality control status of Eucommiae Cortex. Furthermore, according to the concept of quality marker(Q-marker), this article predicts the Q-markers of Eucommiae Cortex from traditional medicinal properties, traditional medicinal effects, new medicinal effects, measurability of chemical components, compatibility, harvesting periods, and geographical origins. The components such as pinoresinol diglucoside,chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, quercetin, baicalein, baicalin, olivil, coniferyl ferulate, and kaempferol can be used as Q-markers for Eucommiae Cortex, which provide reference for establishing a systematic quality control system for Eucommiae Cortex.

The zebrafish model has attracted much attention due to its strong reproductive ability, short research cycle, and ease of maintenance. It has always been an important vertebrate model system, often used to carry out human disease research. Its motor behavior features have the advantages of being simpler, more intuitive, and quantifiable. In recent years, it has received widespread attention in the study of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)for the treatment of sleep disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, fatigue, epilepsy, and other diseases. This paper reviews the characteristics of zebrafish motor behavior and its applications in the pharmacodynamic verification and mechanism research of TCM extracts, active ingredients, and TCM compounds, as well as in active ingredient screening and safety evaluation. The paper also analyzes its advantages and disadvantages, with the aim of improving the breadth and depth of zebrafish and its motor behavior applications in the field of TCM research.

BackgroundFear of progression is one of the typical psychological consequences in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD）. The level of fear of progression is affected by the illness perception status， and the link between social support and fear of progression is acknowledged， whereas the mechanism underlying the three remains unclear due to the lack of empirical research evidence and needs to be further studied. ObjectiveTo explore the mediating role of social support in the relationship between illness perception and fear of progression in COPD patients， and to provide references for effectively alleviating fear in COPD patients. MethodsA total of 435 COPD patients admitted to the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine， the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University from March 9 to July 31， 2024 were selected as the study objects. The Chinese version of Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form （FoP-Q-SF）， Chinese version of Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire （BIPQ） and Social Support Rate Scale （SSRS） were used for the evaluation. Pearson's coefficient was calculated to assess the correlation among above scales. Model 4 of the Process macro 3.4.1 for SPSS 25.0 was used to test the mediating effect of social support on the relationship between illness perception and fear of progression， with Bootstrapping used to evaluate the significance of mediating effect. ResultsA total of 412 patients （94.71%） completed this study.BIPQ score was positively correlated with FoP-Q-SF score （r=0.238， P<0.01）， and negatively correlated with SSRS score in COPD patients （r=-0.260， P<0.01）. FoP-Q-SF score was negatively correlated with SSRS score （r=-0.271， P<0.01）. Social support mediated the relationship between illness perception and fear of progression， with an indirect effect value of 0.025 （95% CI： 0.009~0.041）， accounting for 13.02% of the total effect. ConclusionIllness perception can affect the fear of progression in COPD patients both directly and indirectly through social support. ［Funded by Nursing Research Project of Sichuan Province （number， H22010）］

Objective:To analyze the correlation between thymus dose-volume parameters and lymphopenia in patients with early-stage breast cancer (BC) receiving adjuvant radiotherapy (RT).Methods:Medical records of 54 patients with early-stage BC who received postoperative adjuvant RT in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Absolute lymphocyte counts (ALC) were collected at 1 month before (baseline) and weekly during RT. Lymphopenia was graded based according to the common terminology criteria for adverse events version 5.0 and nadir/baseline ALC was calculated. The thymus was delineated according to anatomical boundaries in the original RT planning system. Dosimetric parameters were obtained from the dose volume histograms. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis was used to explore the factors associated with nadir/baseline ALC. The cutoff values of dosimetric parameters for predicting ≥grade 3 lymphopenia were obtained using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve.Results:The proportion of 54 patients experiencing ≥ grade 3 lymphopenia was 38.9%. The median value of thymus volume, mean dose, V 5 Gy, V 10 Gy were 14.02 cm 3, 4.95 Gy, 36.18%, and 6.61%, respectively. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis revealed that baseline ALC ( P=0.005), quadrant location ( P=0.005) and mean thymus dose ( P<0.001) were significantly associated with nadir/baseline ALC. ROC curve analysis indicated that the cutoff values of thymus mean dose, V 5 Gy and V 10 Gy for predicting ≥ grade 3 lymphopenia were 6.12 Gy, 35.2%, and 7.4%, respectively. Conclusions:Lymphopenia in early-stage BC patients is significantly correlated with high dosimetric parameters of the thymus during postoperative adjuvant RT. Thymus may be considered as an organ at risk during RT.

OBJECTIVE: To preliminarily investigate the effect of buccal acupuncture therapy on ameliorating postoperative pain and enhancing recovery quality among patients undergoing radical resection of gastrointestinal cancers. METHODS: Fifty-two participants were randomized at a 1:1 ratio to either the buccal acupuncture or the control group. The acupuncture protocol entailed targeting 5 predetermined acupoints [CA-2 (Upper jiao), CA-3 (Middle jiao), CA-4 (Lower jiao), CA-6 (back), and CA-7 (waist) and two adjustable acupoints [CA-1 (head) and CA-8 (sacrum)] on each side of the face. The outcomes included the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) scores for each day within 7 days postoperatively, 15-Item Quality of Recovery Scale (QoR-15) scores, analgesics consumption during and after surgery, incidences of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and perioperative levels of interleukin-6 and glucose. Adverse events related to acupuncture were recorded. RESULTS: Of the initial 52 participants, 46 completed the study and were included in the analysis. Findings indicated that the buccal acupuncture group experienced significantly reduced resting NRS scores in post-anesthesia care unit and throughout the postoperative phase (P=0.001 and P=0.003, respectively), along with enhanced QoR-15 scores on the 3rd postoperative day (P=0.008), compared to the control group. No notable differences were identified in the remaining indicators (P>0.05). CONCLUSION Buccal acupuncture therapy demonstrated significant effectiveness in reducing postoperative pain and improving recovery quality for patients undergoing radical resection of gastrointestinal cancers, presenting a viable intervention without associated adverse outcomes. Objective To systematically evaluate the effect of inspiratory muscle training(IMT)on weaning outcomes in patients with weaning failure.Methods Literatures in Chinese and English were retrieved from databases such as PubMed,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Embase,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang data and CBM for researches on the effect of IMT in mechanical ventila-tion weaning failure,from the inception of the databases to October 22,2024.The methodological quality of the researches was evaluated with PEDro scale,and data were extracted for a systematic review.Results Nine randomized controlled trials were included,published between 2011 and 2023,from Brazil,China,the United States,Iran and Australia,with a total of 499 patients.The scores of the PEDro scale ranged five to eight.The population included patients with prolonged weaning,difficult weaning and tracheostomy.The IMT methods included threshold load training and tapered flow resistance training.The training intensity was 30%to 80%of maximal inspiratory pressure(MIP),and some researches did not set the training intensity based on MIP.The pro-gression of intensity varied widely across researches.The intervention frequency ranged from five to 30 breaths per set,with at least one minute rest between sets,two to six sets per session,one to two sessions per day,and five to seven days per week.The duration of the intervention ranged from successful weaning,one week after weaning,extubation,or four days to eight weeks.Regarding the efficacy of the intervention,IMT was not benefi-cial for the duration of mechanical ventilation and intensive care unit(ICU)length of stay on weaning failure pa-tients.However,the effect of IMT on weaning successful rates,duration of weaning,MIP and mortality was in-consistent.Conclusion IMT can not improve the duration of mechanical ventilation and ICU length of stay for weaning failure pa-tients,and there is still debate regarding its effect on successful rate of weaning,duration of weaning,MIP and mortality.

Aim To investigate the effects of rosavin on hepatocellular steatosis and its mechanism of action.Methods AML-12 and HepG2 cells were induced to undergo hepatocellular steatosis by free fatty acids(FFA),and the optimal inducing concentration was determined by oil red O staining and CCK-8 assay.The cell activity was detected by CCK-8 assay after ro-savin treatment,and the lipid droplet accumulation was observed by oil red O staining.The levels of triglycer-ide(TG),total cholesterol(TC),glutamic oxalacetic transaminase(AST),glutamic pyruvic transaminase(ALT),superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione per-oxidase(GSH-Px),and malondialdehyde(MDA)were detected by kits.The potential targets of rosavin in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)were ana-lyzedby network pharmacology and molecular docking,and the expression of core candidate targets before and after the rosavin intervention was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results Hepatocyte steatosis was induced by FFA,and the intervention of rosavin(25,50 μmol·L-1)reduced the number of intracellular lipid droplets in hepatocytes in a dose-de-pendent manner,also lowered the cellular levels of TG,TC,AST,ALT,elevated the levels of SOD and GSH-Px,and reduced the levels of MDA.Network pharma-cological analysis and molecular docking yielded five core candidate targets:NOS3,MAPK14,PPARG,TNF-α,and IGF-1,and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR showed that the action of loxavir significantly re-duced the gene expression of TNF-α and PPARG in hepatocytes after FFA induction.Conclusions Rosa-vin can attenuate the inflammatory response,oxidative stress level,and lipid accumulation in hepatocytes by modulating TNF-α and PPARG,thereby ameliorating FFA-induced hepatocellular steatosis.

Imaging examination is a crucial part in diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system infection(CNSI),involving complex imaging sequences and parameters.This consensus was jointly written by multiple CNSI imaging experts in China,aimed to standardize imaging examination of CNSI.

Objective To develop and validate a safety assessment scale for early mobilization in lung transplant patients after surgery.Methods From September 2022 to April 2023,a preliminary scale was constructed using literature analysis,expert meetings,and the Delphi method.From June 2023 to May 2024,a convenience sampling was used to select 135 patients admitted to the lung transplant center of a tertiary general hospital in Jiangsu Province.Item analysis,reliability analysis,and validity analysis were applied to adjust the items,forming the final scale.Results The post-operative early mobilization safety assessment scale for lung transplant patients includes 5 dimensions(consciousness level,vital signs,disease-related factors,mobility,and nutritional status)and 18 items.The inter-rater reliability of the scale is 0.985;the overall content validity index is 0.853;the split-half reliability is 0.716.The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve for predicting adverse events within 72 hours of mobilization is 0.845,with a 95％confidence interval of 0.767 to 0.917(P＜0.001).The optimal cutoff value is 18.5,with a sensitivity of 0.735 and a specificity of 0.782.Conclusion The developed safety assessment scale for early mobilization in lung transplant patients after surgery demonstrates good reliability and validity,and it can serve as a clinical tool to assess the safety of early mobilization activities in these patients.
