ObjectiveTo establish an objective evaluation system based on the quality characteristics of Gardeniae Fructus without relying on the origin label according to the theory of excellent shape， high quality， and superior effect of authentic medicinal materials， thus providing a scientific basis for the standardization of Gardeniae Fructus. MethodsDifferent batches of Gardeniae Fructus samples were collected from different producing areas. Through herbal textual research and a review of modern literature， fruit length， maximum fruit diameter， and chroma were selected as quantitative indicators to characterize the traditional appearance traits of Gardeniae Fructus. The above indicators were measured by a vernier caliper and a spectrophotometer. Through classical famous prescription data and literature analysis， total iridoid glycosides， total crocus glycosides， and total flavonoids were selected as the core component indicators related to efficacy， and their content was determined. Finally， through cluster analysis， the threshold ranges of the quantitative indicators of excellent shape and high quality were determined， and the applicability of the established evaluation system was verified by the determination of the indicators for each batch of medicinal materials. ResultsThe excellent shape indicators of Gardeniae Fructus were the fruit length-to-maximum fruit diameter ratio ≤1.86， 0°≤h≤45°， and L^*≥ 37.32. The content of total iridoid glycosides， total crocus glycosides， and total flavonoids should be no less than 2.2%， 0.44%， and 0.028%， respectively. The measurement results of different batches of Gardeniae Fructus showed that the evaluation system could effectively distinguish the Gardeniae Fructus samples in line with the traditional cognition of excellent shape and high quality. ConclusionThis study preliminarily constructs an excellent shape and high quality-based quality evaluation system for Gardeniae Fructus， which links appearance traits with chemical indicators and provides a methodological basis for the quality control and scientific grading of this herbal medicine.

ObjectiveTo identify and quantify the excellent shape and high quality indicators of Sarcandrae Herba and establish an evaluation method for Sarcandrae Herba based on appearance traits and active components according to the theory of excellent shape， high quality， and superior effect of authentic medicinal materials. MethodsSarcandrae Herba samples from various producing areas were systematically collected. Through classical herbal textual research and modern literature analysis， colorimetric values of leaves and stems were selected as shape indicators. According to compound preparation data and literature reports， total flavonoids， total phenolic acids， and coumarins were selected as component indicators. Cluster analysis and correlation analysis were performed to identify core objective indicators and their threshold ranges for the excellent shape and high quality of Sarcandrae Herba. ResultsGreener Sarcandrae Herba exhibited higher levels of phenolic acids， total flavonoids， and coumarins. Core quantitative indicators characterizing the excellent shape and high quality of Sarcandrae Herba were Leaf a^* value<0.99， stem a^* value<4， phenolic acid content≥2.49%， total flavonoid content≥5.32%， and coumarin content≥1.98%. By calculating the compliance rate of each batch against this indicator system， the quality stability of different batches can be quantitatively evaluated. ConclusionThis study validates the traditional empirical principle that greener stems and leaves indicate high quality. It establishes a quality evaluation method for Sarcandrae Herba based on the correlation between color and bioactive components， providing a scientific basis for the quality control and grading of this herbal medicine.

BackgroundThe adolescent mood disorders become more prevalent， imposing progressively greater perceived and actual caregiving burdens on caregivers， while the current health education resources， delivery formats and training programs remain insufficient in addressing their needs. ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of structured health education on the caregiver burden associated with adolescent mood disorders， thereby informing evidence-based strategies for alleviating the burden. MethodsA total of 195 caregivers of adolescent inpatients with mood disorders admitted to a tertiary general hospital in Mianyang from June 1， 2020 to July 31， 2022 were consecutively enrolled and randomly assigned to either the research group （n=99） or the control group （n=96） using random number table method. Both groups received routine health education. In addition， the research group participated in a structured health education program comprising three modules covering disease knowledge， medication management， coping with family stress， and guidance for daily living. Upon admission， baseline information regarding both caregivers and adolescent inpatients was collected though a self-administered questionnaire. Caregiver Strain Index （CSI） was administered to assess caregiver burden at admission， discharge， and 1， 3 and 6 months post-discharge. A self-designed health education feedback questionnaire was administered on the day of discharge to evaluate caregivers' feedback on the health education. At 6 months post-discharge， data on any hospital readmission were collected. ResultsUltimately， 85 caregivers （85.86%） in the research group and 84 caregivers （87.50%） in the control group completed the study. Generalized estimating equation analysis revealed significant time effects and group-by-time interaction effects on CSI scores between the two groups （Wald χ²=790.347， 10.047， P<0.05 or 0.01）. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in terms of access to disease information， trust preference and core information needs （P>0.05）. Additionally， caregivers in the research group reported significantly better understanding of the disease-related knowledge and higher ratings on the effectiveness of health education when compared to the control group， with statistically significant differences （P<0.01）. ConclusionIn contrast to routine health education， structured health education may help alleviate caregiving burden among caregivers of adolescents with mood disorders.［Funded by Sichuan Medical Association Project （number， Q190004）］

The United States is the first country to implement DRG payment in the world, and its MS-DRG(medical severity DRG)version has been used for reference by many countries and regions. In order to ensure the universal applicability of DRG grouping scheme and adapt to the clinical reality, the MS-DRG grouping scheme should follow such grouping rules as similarity of resource consumption, clinical similarity and easy management of DRG groups. This paper presented the evolution of MS-DRG and expounded on its grouping rules in detail, for reference in the amendment and improvement of grouping rules in CHS-DRG.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the method for simultaneous determination of berberine hydrochloride and baicalin in Jianpi zhixiening granules. METHODS:HPLC switching walvelength method was adopted. The determination was performed on Hypersil BDS C18 column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-0.45％ phosphoric acid solution-triethylamine(50:49:1,V/V/V) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 265 nm(berberine hydrochloride)and 280 nm(baicalin). The column temperature was set at 30 ℃,and sample size was 10 μL. RESULTS:The linear range of berberine hydrochloride and baicalin were 60.3-312.8 ng(r=0.9997)and 81.5-368.9 ng(r=0.9999). The limits of quantitation were 0.6668,0.7740 ng,andthe limits of detection were 0.2226,0.2580 ng,respectively. RSDs of intermediate precision,stability and repeatability tests were all lower than 1.0％. The recoveries were 96.48％-99.30％(RSD=1.06％,n=6) and 95.20％-99.39％(RSD=1.66％,n=6), respectively. RSDs of durability test were all lower than 2.0％. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, precise, stable, reproducible,accurate and durable. It can be used for simultaneous determination of berberine hydrochloride and baicalin in Jianpi zhixiening granules.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the method for simultaneous determination of the content of berberine hydrochloride, baicalin and osthole in Jinchan zhiyang capsules. METHODS:HPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed in Hypersil BDS C18 column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-acetonitrile-0.1%phosphoric acid-three triethylamine(50∶30∶19∶1, V/V/V/V) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelengths were set at 265 nm (berberine hydrochloride),280 nm (baicalin)and 322 nm(osthole). The column temperature was set at 30 ℃,and sample size was 10 μL. RESULTS:The linear range of berberine hydrochloride,baicalin and osthole were 80-800 ng(r＝0.999 8),60-600 ng(r＝0.999 9),60-600 ng(r＝0.999 6),respectively. RSDs of precision,stability and reproducibility tests were all lower than 2.0%. The limits of quantitation were 80,60,60 ng,respectively,and the limits of detection were 24,20,20 ng,respectively. The recovery rates were 97.4%-98.3%(RSD＝0.33%,n＝6),98.4%-99.6%(RSD＝0.42%,n＝6)and 96.9%-99.0%(RSD＝0.92%,n＝6),respectively. RSDs of durability tests were all lower than 1.2%. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, accurate, precise, stable, reproducible and durable. It can be used for simultaneous determination of berberine hydrochloride,baicalin and osthole in Jinchan zhiyang capsules.

The reasons why some medical treatment facilities (MTF) can not be repaired and returned on time in some medical therapy units are explained. Countermeasures are put forward: repairing and supervising mechanisms must be established between the medical therapy units and factories in time; professional maintainers can be asked to repair MTF or cooperate with technicians in hospital when necessary so as to keep MTF in good condition.
