Objective:To establish a method for evaluating the material attributes and skeletal performance of 2208 hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMC),to clarify the influence of different material attributes on the skeletal per-formance of HPMC,to compare the differences between the products of different manufacturers, and to analyze the factors affecting the process. Methods:In this study, the material attributes such as powder chemical properties, viscosity, gelation temperature, thermodynamic properties,weight-average molecular weight, methoxy and hydroxypropoxy contents of different manufacturers were firstly investigated. Then, the water absorption, swelling, and dissolution properties of HPMC blank skeleton tablets were determined using the weighing method. Finally,Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and Orthogonal Partial Least-Squares Discrimination Analysis(OPLS-DA)were used to systematically evaluate the material attributes and skeleton performance of HPMC.The systematic evaluation of each material attribute and skeleton performance of HPMC was carried out to elucidate the intrinsic relationship between each material attribute and skeleton performance of HPMC.Results:The results showed that there were obvious differences in the material attributes of HPMC from different manufacturers, such as the proper-ties of powder, viscosity, and weight-average molecular weight, and that there were differences in the corrosion performance, water absorption, and swelling performance of the skeleton tablets prepared from different manufactur-ers,with the most obvious differences between K4Mand K100M.The results of the PCA and OPLS-DA analyses indicated that these 19 variables showed some correlation with each other. Both mathematical models showed better differentiation and classification effects on HPMC samples, and the OPLS-DA model had better classification effects than the PCA model. Conclusion:Based on the PCA and OPLS-DA models, this study conducted systematical research on HPMC,clarified the degree of influence of different material attributes on the skeletal performance of HPMC,and suggested the addition of HPMC particle size and size distribution, and weight-average molecular weight as the quality standards, which provide a basis for the quality control of the related excipients, the screening of formulation prescriptions, and the improvement of performance.

Objective:To understand the influencing factors of death of epidemic Japanese encephalitis (EJE) cases in Longnan City of Gansu Province. Methods:In the EJE Monitoring Information Report Management System of the Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Information System, data on EJE cases with onset from 2014 to 2018 and current address in Longnan City were derived. An "Individual Questionnaire of Epidemic Japanese Encephalitis in Longnan City" was designed, retrospective study was conducted on enrolled cases, their information on demographic data, consultation, onset, clinical classification, and chronic underlying diseases were collected, characteristics of EJE cases and death-related factors were analyzed. Results:From 2014 to 2018, a total of 260 EJE cases were reported in Longnan City, and 259 cases completed the questionnaire. Among them, 70 cases (27.0%) were aged ≥60 years old, 67 cases (25.9%) were severe and extremely severe, and 55 cases (21.2%) had chronic underlying diseases. Among 259 EJE cases, 46 cases died, with a fatality rate of 17.8%. After multivariate unconditional logistic regression analysis, age ≥60 years old [odds ratio ( OR)=2.667, 95% confidence interval ( CI): 1.140-6.237], severe and extremely severe ( OR = 2.762, 61.820, 95% CI: 1.053-7.091, 5.149-742.239), and chronic underlying diseases ( OR = 2.489, 95% CI: 1.038-5.964) were risk factors for death in EJE cases. Conclusions:The influencing factors of death of EJE cases in Longnan City are age, clinical classification and chronic underlying diseases. Therefore, we should focus on patients over 60 years old, clinically classified as severe or extremely severe, and suffering from chronic underlying diseases, and strengthen the immunization of EJE vaccine for key populations.

Moyamoya disease is a chronic progressive cerebrovascular disease. Its disability rate and lethality rate are higher. The direct and indirect revascularization can increase cerebral blood flow and reduce the occurrence of cerebral ischemia and cerebral hemorrhage. This article reviews the pathophysiological basis of its surgical treatment, surgical timing, indications, surgical treatment methods and efficacy.

Recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage is a very serious cerebrovascular disease. Its incidence has shown a clear upward trend, and both disability and mortality have increased significantly compared to the first intracerebral hemorrhage. This article reviews the clinical classification, characteristics, risk factors, pathogenesis, and prognosis of recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage.

Acute myocardial ischemia (AMI) was induced by occlusion of the left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery in rats.AMI rats and normal rats were administered with protocatechuic aldehyde(Pal) at a single dose of 20 mg/kg through peritoneal injection.Concentrations of Pal,protocatechuic acid (PAC) and vanillic acid (VAC) in plasma were determined by HPLC to evaluate the effect of AMI on pharmacokinetics of Pal in rats.Pal was quickly metabolized to PAC,which was then methylated into VAC.Compared to the normal group,AUC_(0-∞) of PAC significantly increased from 14.01 ±3.11 to 22.31 ±4.96 μg·h/mL in AMI group (P < 0.01),and AUC_(0-∞) of VAC markedly elevated from 19.64 ±4.36 to 38.76±5.75 μg·h/mL (P<0.01).Both MRT of PAC and VAC increased (0.43 ± 0.08 h vs 0.27 ± 0.04 h,0.61 ± 0.11 h vs 0.38 ± 0.05 h,P < 0.01).Metabolic ratio M/P of PAC increased from 1.43 ±0.31 to 1.77 ±0.22 (P <0.05).Results indicated that AMI status had great influence on pharmacokinetic behavior of Pal.Meanwhile, the level of methylation was greatly increased.
