Antibiotics are widely used in clinical treatment of bacterial infection diseases and in the breeding of livestock, poultry and aquatic products. However, the irrational and excessive use of antibiotics not only leads to the emergence of drug-resistant superbugs, but also the antibiotics discharged into the environment pose a significant threat to the environment and human health.Antibiotics have been included in the list of key new pollutants to be controlled. Therefore, the detection of residual antibiotics in environmental media and food is of vital importance for protecting the environment and public health.Among various antibiotic detection methods, electrochemical sensors have attracted extensive attention due to their high sensitivity, low cost, simplicity and rapidity.Appropriate modification of the electrode surface can enhance the sensitivity of electrochemical sensors, reduce interference and expand the detection range.Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)materials have the advantages of rich types, adjustable structure and activity, high specific surface area and high porosity, and show great application potential in the field of electrochemical sensing. This paper first introduces the synthesis methods of MOFs,reviews the research progress of MOFs-modified electrodes for detection of common antibiotics by electrochemical sensors, and finally looks forward to their future development trends in the field of rapid antibiotic detection.

This study aimed to explore the pharmacological mechanism of Yourenji Capsules(YRJ) in improving osteoporosis by combining network pharmacology and proteomics technologies. The SD rats were randomly divided into a blank control group and a 700 mg·kg~(-1) YRJ group. The rats were subjected to gavage administration with the corresponding drugs, and the blank serum, drug-containing serum, and YRJ samples were compared using ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS) to analyze the main components absorbed into blood. Network pharmacology analysis was conducted based on the YRJ components absorbed into blood to obtain related targets of the components and target genes involved in osteoporosis, and Venn diagrams were used to identify the intersection of drug action targets and disease targets. The STRING database was used for protein-protein interaction(PPI) network analysis of potential target proteins to construct a PPI network. Gene Ontology(GO) functional enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment were performed using Enrichr to investigate the potential mechanism of action of YRJ. Ovariectomy(OVX) was performed to establish a rat model of osteoporosis, and the rats were divided into a sham group, a model group, and a 700 mg·kg~(-1) YRJ group. The rats were given the corresponding drugs by gavage. The femurs of the rats were subjected to label-free proteomics analysis to detect differentially expressed proteins, and GO functional enrichment and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses were performed on the differentially expressed proteins. With the help of network pharmacology and proteomics results, the mechanism by which YRJ improves osteoporosis was predicted. The analysis of the YRJ components absorbed into blood revealed 23 bioactive components of YRJ, and network pharmacology results indicated that key targets involved include tumor necrosis factor(TNF), tumor protein p53(TP53), protein kinase(AKT1), and matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9). These targets are mainly involved in osteoclast differentiation, estrogen signaling pathways, and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) signaling pathways. Additionally, the proteomics analysis highlighted important pathways such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR) signaling pathways, mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) signaling pathways, and β-alanine metabolism. The combined approaches of network pharmacology and proteomics have revealed that the mechanism by which YRJ improves osteoporosis may be closely related to the regulation of inflammation, osteoblast, and osteoclast metabolic pathways. The main pathways involved include the NF-κB signaling pathways, MAPK signaling pathways, and PPAR signaling pathways, among others.

Asian Journal of Andrology 2025;27(4):502-507
Isolated male epispadias typically presents with preputial defects and dorsal urethral dehiscence. A less common subtype, known as concealed epispadias, is distinguished by an intact prepuce. Despite its clinical relevance, there is limited literature on this variant. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 86 pediatric patients with isolated male epispadias treated in Beijing Children's Hospital (Beijing, China) from May 2004 to July 2023, including 19 cases of concealed epispadias and 67 of nonconcealed epispadias. We compared clinical characteristics, preoperative diagnostics, surgical techniques, postoperative outcomes, and sexual function during follow-up between the concealed and nonconcealed groups. No significant differences were observed between the two groups regarding surgical methods, postoperative complications, or rates of urinary incontinence. However, notable distinctions were found in the age at initial diagnosis, timing of surgery, frequency of incontinence, location of the urethral meatus, and postoperative urinary incontinence scores (all P < 0.05). Given the absence of penopubic epispadias in concealed cases, we categorized glans and penile epispadias within nonconcealed epispadias as distal epispadias ( n = 40) and subsequently compared them with concealed epispadias cases. The postoperative urinary incontinence scores did not differ significantly between the concealed and distal epispadias groups. These findings suggest that concealed epispadias represents a relatively milder form of the condition, characterized by the absence of penopubic involvement, lower rates of urinary incontinence, and favorable surgical outcomes. However, the intact prepuce in concealed cases underscores the need for careful identification and early diagnosis.

OBJECTIVES:
To construct a Z-score regression model for coronary artery diameter based on echocardiographic data from children in Sichuan Province and to establish a Z-score calculation formula.
METHODS:
A total of 744 healthy children who underwent physical examinations at Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the modeling group, while 251 children diagnosed with Kawasaki disease at the same hospital from January 2018 to December 2022 were selected as the validation group. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to analyze the relationships between coronary artery diameter values and age, height, weight, and body surface area. A regression model was constructed using function transformation to identify the optimal regression model and establish the Z-score calculation formula, which was then validated.
RESULTS:
The Pearson correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficients for the diameters of the left main coronary artery, left anterior descending artery, left circumflex artery, and right coronary artery with body surface area were 0.815, 0.793, 0.704, and 0.802, respectively (P<0.05). Among the constructed regression models, the power function regression model demonstrated the best performance and was therefore chosen as the optimal model for establishing the Z-score calculation formula. Based on this Z-score calculation formula, the detection rate of coronary artery lesions was found to be 21.5% (54/251), which was higher than the detection rate based on absolute values of coronary artery diameter. Notably, in the left anterior descending and left circumflex arteries, the detection rate of coronary artery lesions using this Z-score calculation formula was higher than that of previous classic Z-score calculation formulas.
CONCLUSIONS
The Z-score calculation formula established based on the power function regression model has a higher detection rate for coronary artery lesions, providing a strong reference for clinicians, particularly in assessing coronary artery lesions in children with Kawasaki disease.

Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2024;32(11):1129-1133
Purpose To investigate the diagnostic value of multimodal imaging in cardiac lipoma.Materials and Methods The clinical symptoms, echocardiography,CT and cardiac magnetic resonance images of 14 patients with cardiac lipoma diagnosed in Xijing Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from July 2016 to November 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Five patients with lipoma had symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath.A total of 18 lesions were found in 14 cases with cardiac lipoma. The locations of cardiac lipomas were widely distributed in the heart,of which 9 were located under the inner lining of the ventricular lumen(6 in the left ventricle,3 in the right ventricle),5 in the myocardium(4 in the left ventricle wall,1 in the right ventricle wall),3 in the pericardium, and 1 in the right ventricle.Echocardiography of 12 cases showed strong echoic mass image, and CT of 7 cases showed uniform low-density mass image. All patients cardiac magnetic resonance showed high signal of T1WI,and the tumor signal of lipid-pressure sequence decreased significantly.T2WI showed high signal and low signal ring around the tumor, indicating a chemical shift artifact. In the film sequence of heart, the mass could be seen to wobble gently and change in the shape of spontaneous motion cycle. The first perfusion scan did not show perfusion elevation. No enhancement was observed on the delayed enhanced scan.Native T1 mapping showed that the T1 value of mass was significantly lower than that of normal myocarda[(255.9±48.4)ms vs.(994.2±66.4)ms],and the difference was statistically significant(t=-32.5,P<0.001).Conclusion Multimodal imaging can provide objective evidence for clinical diagnosis of cardiac lipoma.Lipomas with extremely low T1 values were found, which is helpful to assist in the diagnosis of cardiac lipoma, clearer observation of the lesions, accurate localization, and strong ability to detect small lesions. Therefore, when cardiac lipoma is suspected,T1 mapping can be used as a routine examination method for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of cardiac masses.

Objective Naturally,Aedes albopictus carries both the A and B supergroups of Wolbachia strains, which are symbiotic bacteria that can influence the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases by inhibiting the ability of their host to transmit viruses or by reducing the population density of their host, and the strength of this effect is closely related to its density in host cells. In this study,an accurate qPCR-based method for detecting Wolbachia genotype and density in mosquitoes was established. Methods The wsp gene of Wolbachia carried by Ae.albopictus was cloned and sequenced, and specific primers for the non-conserved regions of the w AlbA and w AlbB wsp genes were designed. Results The application of this method showed great sensitivity and specificity. The primers did not cross-react between the two Wolbachia supergroups.Further, with this method,it was possible to detect decreases in Wolbachia density in host cells following treatment with tetracycline at different concentrations, and the optimal tetracycline treatment concentration was determined to be 0.1 mg/mL.Conclusion This method can provide technical supports for studies of the effects of Wolbachia on physiological reproduction and innate immunity in mosquitoes.
