1.Research progress on the mechanisms linking and intervention of adolescent depression and lipid metabolism disorders

In recent years, the incidence of depression among adolescents has increased significantly, becoming a serious global public health problem. There is a close relationship between adolescent depression and lipid metabolism abnormalities. However, the mechanisms underlying this association have not been fully elucidated. This article provides a review of the mechanisms and interventions linking adolescent depression and lipid metabolism abnormalities, aiming to offer new ideas for interventions in adolescent depression. Using computerized searches of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data, PubMed, and Web of Science, studies on the mechanisms and interventions related to adolescent depression and lipid metabolism were collected, with the search period extending up to October 10, 2025. Two researchers independently conducted literature screening and extracted basic information from the included studies. A total of 12 original studies were included. The results indicate that adolescent depression is associated with certain lipid metabolites. Neurobiological factors, immune inflammation, oxidative stress, and gut microbiota imbalance play important roles in this association. In addition, lipid metabolites such as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFAs) have a significant ameliorating effect on adolescent depression. 2.Research progress on anatomical variations of the femoral vein and ultrasound-guided femoral vein catheterization

The femoral vein is the primary venous trunk of the lower limbs and is commonly used for central venous catheterization in clinical practice.Traditional textbooks lack summarizes of the different types of anatomical variations of the femoral vein,making it more challenging for operators to perform punctures.Ultrasound-guided catheterization provides visualization,but there are still frequent instances of failed punctures and various complications.Operators usually use ultrasound equipment according to personal habits,but may not reach its full potential.This review summarizes recent researches on anatomical variations of the femoral vein and ultrasound-guided femoral vein catheterization,offering reference for medical professionals in clinical practice.
3.LXRα/ABCA1-mediated immunommetabolic remodeling:a novel mechanism of curcumin in enhancing the anti-tuberculosis function of macrophages

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism by which curcumin enhances the anti-tuberculosis function of macrophages through immune metabolic regulation mediated by liver X receptor α(LXRα)/ABCA1.Methods A model was established by infecting THP-1-derived macrophages with attenuated strain of Mycobacterium bovis(M.bovis).The control group,curcumin group,M.pavis group,M.pavis+LXRα agonist(T0901317)group,M.pavis+LXRα inhibitor(GSK2033)group,M.pavis+curcumin group,M.pavis+curcumin+GSK2033 group and M.pavis+curcumin+T0901317 group were set up.The protein and gene expressions of LXRα/ABCA1 were detected by Western blotting and real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).The accumulation of lipid droplets was analyzed by Oil Red O staining and micro-assay.The lipid content of the supernatant was determined by a biochemical analyzer,and cell proliferation was assessed by the MTT method.Bacterial clearance capacity was evaluated by measuring intracellular bacterial load.Results Curcumin significantly upregulated the protein and gene expression of LXRα/ABCA1 in M.Bovis-infected macrophages,reduced intracellular lipid accumulation and promoted lipid efflux,while enhancing cell proliferation and reducing intracellular bacterial load(P<0.05,P<0.01).LXRα inhibitors could reverse the effect of curcumin,while agonists synergistically enhanced its effect.Correlation analysis showed that the expression of LXRα/ABCA1 in cells was negatively correlated with the intracellular bacterial load,while the lipid level was positively correlated with the intracellular bacterial load(P<0.01).Conclusion Curcumin activates the LXRα/ABCA1 pathway,coordinates the metabolic remodeling of macrophages and the enhancement of immune function,and forms a synergistic effect against tuberculosis,providing an experimental basis for the development of a novel host-directed treatment strategy for tuberculosis based on immune-metabolic regulation.
4.Congrong San alleviates hippocampal neuronal injury and ferroptosis in AD rats by inhibiting GRP78-PERK-ATF4 signaling pathway

Aim To investigate the effects of Congrong San(CRS)on learning and memory ability,hippocam-pal neuronal injury,and ferroptosis in rats with Alzhei-mer's disease(AD)and to explore the related mecha-nisms.Methods AD rat models were established and divided into Sham,Model,CRS low-dose,CRS medium-dose,CRS high-dose,and memantine groups.After treatment,Morris water maze,HE and Nissl staining,transmission electron microscopy,immunofluorescence staining,Western blot,and kit assays were performed to assess learning and memory ability,hippocampal neuro-nal injury,ferroptosis-related indicatorsand glucose reg-ulated protein 78 ku(GRP78)-(proteinkinaseR-li-keERkinase)PERK-(activating transcription factor 4)ATF4 pathway protein expression.Results Com-pared with the model group,rats in the CRS medium-and high-dose groups and the memantine group showed significant improvement in learning and memory abili-ty,reduced hippocampal neuronal injury,increased number of Nissl bodies,and ameliorated endoplasmic reticulum swelling and mitochondrial damage.In addi-tion,the expressions of GRP78,p-PERK/PERK,and ATF4 were downregulated,while GPX4 expression was upregulated in the CRS medium-and high-dose groups and the memantine group.Moreover,MDA content de-creased,and SOD and GSH-PX levels increased in these groups.Conclusions CRS can improve the learning and memory ability in AD rats,reduce hipp-ocampal neuronal injury and ferroptosis,and its mecha-nism may be related to the inhibition of the GRP78-PERK-ATF4 pathway,enhancement of GPX4 expres-sion,and reduction of oxidative stress levels,providing a new approach for the clinical treatment of AD.
5.Current status,hotspots and prospects of research on liver failure caused by viral hepatitis:a bibliometric and visualization-based analysis

Objective To conduct a bibliometric analysis of relevant literature on liver failure caused by viral hepatitis from the past five years,and to help researchers understand the current status and hotspots in this field,and to provide insights into future research trends.Methods Based on the Science Citation Index Expanded(SCI-Expanded)data from Web of Science Core Collection,visualization analysis and mapping were conducted through VOSviewer and CiteSpace software to generate visual representations of international research collaboration networks,keyword co-occurrence clustering,and keyword bursts.Results From 2019 to 2023,a total of 873 relevant literature were included,with a total citation frequency of 7 364 and an average citation frequency of 8.44.Among them,China had the highest number of publications(458 articles,52.46%)and had the most cooperation with the United States.The research hotspots of viral hepatitis induced liver failure were mainly divided into three categories:basic and clinical research on liver failure caused by non-hepatitis B virus(HBV),the pathogenesis of HBV related liver failure,and treatment and prediction models of liver failure.The keyword time overlay map and burst map showed that the research hotspots had gradually shifted from the prevention and control of new infections to the treatment and prognosis assessment of patients with chronic infection.Conclusion China is a major international research entity in liver failure caused by viral hepatitis and actively participates in international scientific collaborations.The research hotspots on liver failure caused by viral hepatitis have gradually shifted from preventing viral hepatitis infections and expanding treatment options to the treatment of chronic infection patients and prognostic prediction.

Oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(OPSCC)is a malignant tumor originating from the squamous epithelium of the oro-pharyngeal mucosa,accounting for more than 90%of oropharyngeal malignancies.In recent years,human papillomavirus(HPV)infec-tion has become one of the primary etiological factors of oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma.The incidence of HPV-associated oropharyn-geal squamous carcinoma has been rising annually,with a noticeable trend toward younger populations,posing a significant threat to hu-man health.Due to the distinct biological behavior and clinical characteristics of HPV-associated oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma com-pared to its non-HPV-related counterpart,the diagnostic and treatment strategies for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma have undergone substantial changes.Prevention and screening for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma are of critical importance.The diagnostic and treat-ment process involves multi-disciplinary collaboration,including oral and maxillofacial surgery,otolaryngology,head and neck surgery,oncology,radiology and pathology.Based on evidence from clinical practice,a comprehensive,integrated diagnostic and therapeutic ap-proach has been established,centered around the concept of"prevention,screening,diagnosis,treatment,and rehabilitation",covering the entire patient lifecycle and providing a valuable reference for clinical practice.

Objective:The genotoxicity risk of graphene artificial nerve sheath conduit was systematically evaluated to provide scientific evidence for their clinical safety and to establish methodological references for the genotoxicity assessment of nanomaterial medical devices.Methods:The potential effects of graphene artificial nerve sheath conduit on genetic and chromosomal endpoints were analyzed by integrating bacterial reverse mutation assays,in vitro chromosome aberration assays,mouse lymphoma cell TK gene mutation tests,and mammalian erythrocyte Pig-a gene mutation assays.Results:In the bacterial reverse mutation assay,all plates showed good background growth.There was no significant difference in the average number of revertant colonies between the test group and the negative control group,with a ratio around 1.0.In the in vitro chromosome aberration assay,the chromosomal aberration rate in the test group was less than 5%,showing no significant increase compared to the negative control group.In the mouse lymphoma cell TK gene mutation assay,the mutation frequency in the test group was less than twice that of the negative control group,with no significant difference.In the mammalian erythrocyte Pig-a gene mutation assay,the mutation frequencies of erythrocytes and reticulocytes in the test group were both less than 3× 10-6,showing no significant difference compared to the negative control group.Conclusions:Graphene artificial nerve sheath conduit exhibited no detectable genotoxicity under the tested conditions,the research results can provide reference and guidance for the genotoxicity evaluation of nanomaterial medical devices.
8.Research on UAV visible light small target detection method based on improved YOLOv8

Objective To propose an improved Y OLOv8-based visible small target detection method to solve the problems of the UAV visible light system in accuracy and timeliness when applied to measuring small targets.Methods A YOLOv8 network consisting of Backbone,Neck and Head was used as the base framework to construct an AGC-YOLO model.Firstly,a convolutional block attention module(CBAM)was incorporated into Backbone to improve the feature expression of the model;secondly,some traditional convolution modules were replaced with the changeable kernel convolution module AKconv to reduce the network parameters;finally,a Gold-YOLO module was involved in Neck to enhance the detection ability for targets with different sizes.VisDrone2019 dataset was used to carry out ablation and comparison experiments,and the efficacy of the AGC-YOLO model for detecting small targets was evaluated in terms of mean average precision(mAP),frames per second(FPS),giga floating-point operations per second(GFLOPs)and parameters.Results The AGC-YOLO model had the FPS,GFLOPs and parameters being 31.90,9.20 and 11.30 M respectively,meeting the real-time detection speed requirements of drones(FPS not lower than 30),in which the mAP50(the mAP with the intersection over union being 0.5)was increased by 15%,6%and 5%when compared with those of the lightweight YOLOv8n,Ghost-YOLO and YOLO-BiFPN models.Conclusion The method proposed behaves well in speed,decreased parameters and precision,and is worthy promoting for UAV visible small target detection.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2025,46(1):1-6]
9.Effect of rituximab combined with short-course glucocorticoid therapy on cellular immunity and cytokines in children with new-onset nephrotic syndrome

Objective To explore the effect of rituximab on cellular immunity and cytokines in children with new-onset steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome(SSNS).Methods Clinical data of 60 children with new-onset SSNS treated at Xuzhou Children's Hospital from December 2021 to March 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.Children were allocated according to rituximab use into a control group(no rituximab)and an observation group(rituximab).The relapse rate,T-lymphocyte subsets and cytokines before and after treatment,and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between groups.Results The relapse rate was lower in the observation group than in the control group(27%vs 73%,P<0.05).After treatment,CD3+and CD4+T-lymphocyte counts,the CD4+/CD8+ratio,and serum interleukin-2 increased in the observation group and were higher than in the control group(P<0.05).Interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α levels decreased after treatment in the observation group and were lower than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,CD8+T-lymphocyte counts decreased,interferon-γ increased,and interleukin-10 decreased in both groups,with no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions did not differ significantly between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions Rituximab can reduce the relapse rate in children with new-onset nephrotic syndrome and shows good safety.Its therapeutic effect is achieved by regulating the number and function of T cells and by modulating the anti-inflammatory effects of cytokines.
10.Simultaneous,rapid,and precise prediction of main quality control indicators of typhae pollen based on near-infrared spectroscopy technology

Objective:To establish a rapid quantitative model for the determination of moisture,extractives,and content in Pollen Typhae.Methods:Near-infrared spectra of 91 batches of Pollen Typhae samples were collected.Spectral preprocessing was performed using S-G,MSC,SNV,and CWT methods.Variable selection was conducted using CARS,SPA,and VIP methods,and compared with full-spectrum modeling.Partial least squares(PLS)mod-els were established for the quantitative determination of moisture,total ash,extractives,and content.The model performance was evaluated by calculating the coefficient of determination for the calibration set and validation set(R2 c,R2v),root mean square error of calibration and validation(RMSEc,RMSEv),and residual prediction devia-tion(RPD).Results:The PLS models for moisture,extractives,and content in Pollen Typhae showed R2c and R2v values greater than 0.9,RMSEc and RMSEv values approaching 0,and RPD values greater than 3.Conclusion:In this study,near-infrared spectroscopy was used to construct quantitative prediction models for moisture,extractives,typhaneoside,and isorhamnetin-3-O-neohesperidoside content in Pollen Typhae.This method enables rapid detection of the main quality control indicators of Pollen Typhae,providing strong technical support for its quality supervision.
