Objective To observe the value of artificial intelligence iterative reconstruction(AIIR)for abdominal and pelvic CT examination after total hip arthroplasty(THA).Methods Totally 64 patients after THA who underwent abdominal and pelvic CT examinations were retrospectively collected, including 31 patients received routine CT scanning and 33 patients received dual-energy CT scanning.AIIR and hybrid iterative reconstruction(HIR)algorithms were used to obtain AIIR and HIR images based on conventional CT images, respectively, while 70-140 keV(interval of 5 keV)virtual monoenergetic images(VMI)were reconstructed based on dual-energy CT images.VMI with the best comprehensive imaging qualities were selected for analysis.Subjective scores and objective evaluation results of imaging quality were compared among different kinds of images. Results The subjective scores of artifacts, bones, diagnostic confidence,as well as displaying of pelvic organs and blood vessels on both AIIR images and VMI were all higher than those of HIR images(all P<0.001),while no significant difference was found between AIIR images and VMI(all P>0.017).Pairwise comparison of high-density artifact fraction and skeletal artifact fraction on AIIR,HIR images and VMI showed significant differences(all P<0.001).No significant difference of low density artifact fraction nor high density noise fraction was detected between AIIR image and VMI(both P>0.017),and the objective evaluation results were different from those of HIR images(both P<0.017).The low density noise fraction of AIIR images was lower than that of HIR images(P<0.017),while no significant difference was found between AIIR or HIR images and VMI(both P>0.017).The bone noise fraction of AIIR and HIR images were both higher than that of VMI(both P<0.017),while no significant difference was found between these two kinds of images(P>0.017).Conclusion AIIR could reduce artifacts and image noise of abdominal and pelvic CT examination after THA and improve imaging quality.

Gait deficits and balance disturbances are prevalent clinical features in Parkinson′s disease (PD). There is an increasing body of evidence pointing towards the degeneration of central cholinergic neurons as a crucial factor leading to these disturbances in PD. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the relevant research on the involvement of the central cholinergic system in the mechanisms underlying gait deficits and balance disturbance in PD. The aim is to provide new perspectives and insights for the treatment of gait deficits and balance disturbances in PD.

Objective To observe the value of cardiac CT angiography(CCTA)for left atrial appendage closure(LAAC).Methods Twelve Labradors were enrolled and underwent LAAC.CCTA examinations were performed before and 7,45 and 90 days after LAAC,and the left atrial appendage(LAA)parameters before and post LAAC occluder compression ratio were recorded.Ninety days after LAAC,the dogs were euthanized for gross anatomical observation, micro CT imaging and pathological examination, and the value of CCTA for LAAC was analyzed. Results Based on CCTA before LAAC,LAA opening depth was(18.8±2.6)mm,the minimum diameter was(16.3±2.0)mm and the maximum diameter was(22.6±3.2)mm,so 28 mm diameter occluders were selected for LAAC.Seven,45 and 90 days after LAAC,no displacement of occluder, thrombi nor device leakage was found on CCTA,while no significant difference of compression ratio was found among different time points(P>0.05),nor between those measured with CCTA and micro CT 90 days after LAAC(P>0.05).Ninety days after LAAC,gross dissection revealed complete endothelialization of occlude in 11 dogs and incomplete endothelialization in 1 dog.Pathological examination showed that collagen fibers arranged neatly, with endothelial cells covering the surface, and no inflammatory cell infiltration was observed. Conclusion CCTA could be used to observe LAA and surrounding structures before LAAC,hence guiding to select appropriate occluder, evaluate occlusion effect and monitor complications of LAAC in dogs.

Objective:To simulate the spot characteristics of light emitting diode (LED) array light sources used in non-invasive phototherapy at different distances and to provide reference for the formulation of clinical non-invasive phototherapy treatment schemes. Methods:The ray tracing module in Comsol software was used to simulate the spot characteristics of LED light sources with different power and arrays at different distances, and the fitting curve was analyzed. The model was verified by the actual LED spot measurement, and the feasibility of the treatment scheme was verified by the mouse back wound model. Results:Under the irradiation of 2×2 LED light source array, with the increase of the vertical distance from the light source, the area of the effective area and the treatment area gradually increased, the power density value in the area gradually decreased, and the uniformity gradually increased. These changes showed a linear or binomial correlation with the vertical distance. The model was improved based on the actual LED light spot, and the new model consisted of an array of 18 LEDs as the light source, and the treatment area showed better uniformity and power density values. The simulated optical parameters were used to treat mice’s wounds with light, and the results showed that light treatment could promote wound healing. Conclusions:The established medical LED array light source spot characteristics simulation can provide a reference for the development of clinical non-invasive phototherapy protocols, thus helping the clinic select the appropriate LED power and array distribution according to the treatment needs and also providing a basis for the development of medical LED array light sources.

Objective:To investigate the effect of citric acid-induced cough on swallowing function and serum substance P in stroke patients with early tracheotomy.Methods:Forty-nine post-stroke tracheotomy patients admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2018 to July 2019 were selected as study subjects. They were divided into intervention group ( n=24) and control group ( n=25) using the random digit table. The control group was subjected to routine nursing, while the intervention group was given citric acid to induce cough based on routine care. The intervention time was 1 week. The swallowing function and serum substance P levels were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After the intervention, 45.8% (11/24) of the patients in the intervention group were assessed as having "strong" swallowing function, compared to 28.0% (7/25) in the control group, with a statistically significant difference in swallowing function between the two groups ( Z= -2.22, P<0.05), and the level of substance P in the intervention group was (283.40 ± 134.82) ng/L, significantly higher than that of the control group (203.59 ± 126.16) ng/L ( t=2.14, P<0.05). Conclusions:Citric acid-induced cough helped stroke patients with early tracheotomy to produce effective swallowing action and up-regulate substance P in serum to promote recovery of swallowing function.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2021;33(8):633-637
In recent years, the incidence and mortality rates of colorectal cancer are increasing year by year. With the deepening of molecular biology research and the discovery of driver genes, the treatment of colorectal cancer has gradually developed to the direction of individuation and precision. As the second member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is involved in the regulation of cell growth, reproduction and division and the control of tumor growth. This article reviews the correlation between expression of HER2 and colorectal cancer.
