Objective: To analyze the association between drinking behaviors and anxiety symptoms, with the mediating role of insomnia symptoms among college freshmen, so as to provide a reference basis for reducing the occurrence of anxiety symptoms in college freshmen. Methods: From October to December 2021, 31 856 freshmen were selected by the purposive sampling method in 22 colleges across 11 provinces (Fujian, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Yunnan, Chongqing) in China. The Semi quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire was used to investigate college freshmen drinking behaviors. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scale 21 and the Insomnia Severity Index were used to assess anxiety symptoms and insomnia symptoms in college freshmen. The generalized linear model was employed to analyze the association between drinking behaviors and anxiety symptoms in college freshmen, and the structural equation modeling was used to assess the mediating effect of insomnia symptoms on the association. Results: The detection rate of anxiety symptoms among college freshmen was 28.2%, the detection rates of the mild, moderate, severe and extremely severe were 6.6%, 15.9%, 3.2% and 2.6%, respectively. While 23.6% of college freshmen reported drinking in the past month, the rates were 39.8% among boys and 15.9% among girls. After adjusting for demographic variables (ethnicity, education, major, etc.) and confounding variables (self evaluation of learning burden, number of close friends, screen time, etc.), the results of generalized linear model analysis showed that beer consumption was associated with anxiety symptoms in college freshmen( β =0.09, 95% CI =0.04-0.14), girls( β =0.14, 95% CI =0.07-0.21) and those aged 19-20 years ( β =0.12, 95% CI =0.05-0.19)(all P <0.05). Red wine consumption was associated with anxiety symptoms in male students ( β =0.13, 95% CI =0.02-0.24, P <0.05). Alcohol and beer consumption were associated with insomnia in college freshmen[ β (95% CI ) =0.22(0.08-0.36),0.31(0.23-0.39),both P <0.01]. Insomnia symptoms partially mediated the association between drinking behaviors and anxiety symptoms among college freshmen with a mediating effect value of 0.05, accounting for 50.49% of the total effect. Conclusions Insomnia symptoms partially mediates the association between drinking behaviors and anxiety symptoms in college freshmen. Measures should be taken to simultaneously intervene in the drinking behaviors and insomnia symptoms of college freshmen to prevent the occurrence of their anxiety symptoms.

ObjectiveTomatoes are one of the highest-yielding and most widely cultivated economic crops globally, playing a crucial role in agricultural production and providing significant economic benefits to farmers and related industries. However, early blight in tomatoes is known for its rapid infection, widespread transmission, and severe destructiveness, which significantly impacts both the yield and quality of tomatoes, leading to substantial economic losses for farmers. Therefore, accurately identifying early symptoms of tomato early blight is essential for the scientific prevention and control of this disease. Additionally, visualizing affected areas can provide precise guidance for farmers, effectively reducing economic losses. This study combines hyperspectral imaging technology with machine learning algorithms to develop a model for the early identification of symptoms of tomato early blight, facilitating early detection of the disease and visual localization of affected areas. MethodsTo address noise interference present in hyperspectral images, robust principal component analysis (RPCA) is employed for effective denoising, enhancing the accuracy of subsequent analyses. To avoid insufficient information representation caused by the subjective selection of regions of interest, the Otsu’s thresholding method is utilized to extract tomato leaves effectively from the background, with the average spectrum of the entire leaf taken as the primary object of study. Furthermore, a comprehensive spectral preprocessing workflow is established by integrating multivariate scatter correction (MSC) and standardization methods, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of the data. Based on the processed spectral data, a discriminant model utilizing a linear kernel function support vector machine (SVM) is constructed, focusing on characteristic wavelengths to improve the model's discriminative capability. ResultsCompared to full-spectrum modeling, this approach results in an 8.33% increase in accuracy on the test set. After optimizing the parameters of the SVM model, when C=1.64, the accuracies of the training set and test set reach 91.67% and 94.44%, respectively, demonstrating a 1.19% increase in training set accuracy compared to the unoptimized model, while maintaining the same accuracy on the test set, effectively alleviating issues of underfitting. ConclusionThis study successfully establishes an early discriminant model for tomato early blight using hyperspectral imaging and achieves visualization of early symptoms. Experimental results indicate that the SVM discriminant model based on characteristic wavelengths and a linear kernel function can effectively identify early symptoms of tomato early blight. Visualization of these symptoms in terms of disease probability allows for a more intuitive detection of early diseases and timely implementation of corresponding control measures. This visual analysis not only enhances the efficiency of disease identification but also provides farmers with more straightforward and practical information, aiding them in formulating more reasonable prevention strategies. These research findings provide valuable references for the early identification and visualization of plant diseases, holding significant practical implications for monitoring, identifying, and scientifically preventing crop diseases. Future research could further explore how to apply this model to disease detection in other crops and how to integrate IoT technology to create intelligent disease monitoring systems, enhancing the scientific and efficient management of crops.

The auxin/indole-3-acetic acid (Aux/IAA) gene family is an important regulator for plant growth hormone signaling, involved in plant growth, development, as well as response to environmental stresses. In the present study, we identified SmIAA7 which is potentially associated with Salvia miltiorrhiza leaf development through comparatively analyzed the transcriptome data from different pinnate leaves. SmIAA7 was successfully isolated from S. miltiorrhiza using the specific primers. Then subsequent bioinformatic analysis, prokaryotic expression and purification, subcellular localization, and induction expression analysis under auxin and abiotic stress were performed. The full-length of SmIAA7 contained an ORF of 684 bp encoding a protein of 227 amino acid with a molecular weight of 25.3 kD. Conserved domain analysis showed that SmIAA7 contains the conserved Aux_IAA domain (pfam02309). Sequence analysis and phylogenetic tree analysis results indicated SmIAA7 was phylogenetically close to IAA7 and IAA14 from other plants, suggesting SmIAA7 involved in plant growth and development as well as response to environmental stresses. The prokaryotic expression vector pET28a-SmIAA7 was constructed and SmIAA7 recombinant protein was successfully expressed in E. coli Rosetta (DE3) strain. Subcellular localization experiment demonstrated that SmIAA7 localized in the nucleus of plant cells. Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR results showed that the expression level of SmIAA7 was upregulated in response to auxin. Drought, low temperature, and salt stress significantly increased the transcript level of SmIAA7 gene. This study lays a foundation for further elucidating the role of SmIAA7 in leaf development, signal transduction, and stress defense in S. miltiorrhiza.

OBJECTIVES: To explore the efficacy of DSA-guided intrathecal drug delivery system combined with Zi Wu Liu Zhu Acupoint Therapy for management of cancer pain and provide reference for its standardized clinical application. Methods and. RESULTS: Recommendations were formulated based on literature review and expert group discussion, and consensus was reached following expert consultation. The consensus recommendations are comprehensive, covering the entire treatment procedures from preoperative assessment and preparation, surgical operation process, postoperative management and traditional Chinese medicine treatment to individualized treatment planning. The study results showed that the treatment plans combining traditional Chinese with Western medicine effectively alleviated cancer pain, reduced the use of opioid drugs, and significantly improved the quality of life and enhanced immune function of the patients. Postoperative follow-up suggested good treatment tolerance among the patients without serious complications. CONCLUSIONS The formulated consensus is comprehensive and can provide reference for clinicians to use DSA-guided intrathecal drug delivery system combined with Zi Wu Liu Zhu Acupoint Therapy. The combined treatment has a high clinical value with a good safety profile for management of cancer pain.

ObjectiveThe human angiotensin converting enzyme2 （hACE2） transgenic mouse model was used to clarify the antiviral efficacy of BD-77 against a novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and explore the action mechanism of BD-77 against SARS-CoV-2. MethodSARS-CoV-2 Omicron and Delta variant strains-infected VeroE6 cell models were established and administered with BD-77 to observe the antiviral effect of BD-77 in vitro. A kit was used to detect the effect of BD-77 in vitro on the binding of spike S protein of SARS-CoV-2 virus （Delta/Omicron） to angiotensin converting enzyme2 （ACE2）. Chromatography was adopted to detect the binding of BD-77 to the S protein and N protein of the novel coronavirus. hACE2 transgenic C57BL/6 mice were divided into a blank control group， SARS-CoV-2 infection group， BD-77 administration groups of 37.5 mg·kg^-1 and 75 mg·kg^-1， with eight mice in each group. The pneumonia model of SARS-CoV-2-infected hACE2 transgenic mice was built to observe the survival of the mice， detect the virus titer of the lung tissue of the mice， and observe the lesions in the lung tissue. ResultBD-77 had a certain inhibitory effect on Omicron and Delta variant strains in vitro， with median inhibitory concentration （IC₅₀） of 526.3 mg·L^-1 and 653.0 mg·L^-1， respectively. BD-77 had no significant inhibitory effect on the binding of the S protein of WT， Omicron， and Delta variant strains of SARS-CoV-2 to ACE2 and had no binding effect with the S protein and N protein of the novel coronavirus. No mice in the blank group died， while the mortality rate of SARS-CoV-2-infected mice was 75%. There was a large amount of virus replication in the lung tissue of the mice and large areas of inflammatory infiltration in the lung tissue and interstitium. Compared with the model group， BD-77 administration groups of 37.5 mg·kg^-1 and 75 mg·kg^-1 could reduce the mortality of mice， significantly lower the virus titer in the lung tissue of mice （P<0.05）， and improve lung lesions. ConclusionBD-77 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects against SARS-CoV-2 virus in vitro and in vivo. However， its mechanism of action did not involve direct inhibition of the virus itself or intervention in the virus-host binding process. This finding suggests that the mechanism of action of BD-77 needs to be thoroughly investigated and elucidated by further experiments.

Objective:To investigate and analyze case reporting ethical review and patient informed consent reports published in the comprehensive journals of clinical medicine in China in 2022.Methods:According to the data from the 2022 Edition of the Chinese Science and Technology Journal of the Citation Reports(Extended Version),the case reports published in comprehensive journals of clinical medicine in 2022 were selected as the research objects.The information on ethics and patient informed consent was extracted from the case reports that met the selection criteria,and Microsoft Excel 2021 and SPSS 21.0 were used to sort out and analyze the data.Results:A total of 587 case reporting articles were published in the 42 included journals in 2022,of which 36(6.13%)reported on science and technology ethics and/or informed consent.Case reports reporting on science and technology ethics and/or informed consent mostly came from the key magazine of China technology(88.89%Vs.65.88%),and the proportion of manuscripts involving science and technology ethics on the official website of the journal was relatively high(86.11%Vs.63.88%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).Conclusion:The proportion of case reports of science and technology ethics and/or informed consent in journals of comprehensive discipline classification of clinical medicine was relatively low.Currently,most international journals are required to obtain the informed consent of patients or legal guardians before publishing case reports.Compared with this,there are still certain gaps in China,which need to be paid great attention to.

Objective To investigate the effect of osimertinib combined with aspirin on the survival pe-riod of the advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)mutation.Methods Sixty lung adenocarcinoma patients with EGFR mutation in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)first diagnosed in Banan District Second People's Hospital of from August 2020 to October 2021 were selected as the study subjects and divided into the observation group and control group by the random number table method,30 cases in each group.The observation group adopted osimertinib combined with aspi-rin,and the control used osimertinib merely.The overall response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS)and the adverse reactions occurrence were compared between the two groups.Results ORR and DCR after 3,6,12 months medication in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,but the differences were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Compared with the control group,PFS and OS in the observation group were longer,and the differences were statistically significant[14.9(11.8,17.2)m vs.10.5(8.9,12.5)m;24.1(19.5,27.4)m vs.18.1(16.1,21.1)m,P＜0.05].In addition,PFS and OS in male and female patients with brain metastasis,EGER19 and 21 ex-on mutation in the observation group were longer than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in overall and≥Ⅲ degree adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Osimertinib combined with aspirin could prolong PFS and OS of the advanced lung adenocarcinoma patients with EGFR mutation without increasing the risk of adverse reactions.

Objective:To explore the mechanism of herb-partitioned moxibustion in relieving rat intestinal inflammation by focusing on the neutrophil extracellular traps(NETs)in Crohn disease(CD)development. Methods:Rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group,a herb-partitioned moxibustion group,and a mesalazine group.The CD rat model was prepared with 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid except for rats in the normal group.Rats in the normal group and model group did not receive any treatment but had the same fixation as the other groups.Rats in the herb-partitioned moxibustion group received herb-partitioned moxibustion at Qihai(CV6)and bilateral Tianshu(ST25).Rats in the mesalazine group received intragastric administration of mesalazine enteric-coated tablets.The general situation of rats in each group was recorded,and the histopathological changes in the colon were observed and scored by hematoxylin-eosin staining.The serum concentrations of NETs DNA(NETs-DNA),neutrophil elastase(NE)-DNA,and myeloperoxidase(MPO)-DNA were detected by ABC enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,and the citrullinated histone 3(citH3),MPO,and NE protein and mRNA expression levels in rat colon tissue were observed by immunofluorescence and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Results:Compared with the normal group,the mucosal ulcer reached the muscularis,the epithelium was incomplete,the goblet cells decreased obviously with significant inflammatory cell infiltration in the colon;the colonic mucosa damage index(CMDI)score increased significantly(P<0.01);the serum NETs-DNA,NE-DNA,and MPO-DNA concentrations increased(P<0.05);the NE,citH3,and MPO protein and mRNA expression in the colonic tissue increased significantly in the model group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Compared with the model group,the mucosal epithelium in the herb-partitioned moxibustion group and the mesalazine group was repaired and the goblet cells increased with a few infiltrating inflammatory cells in the colon;the CMDI score decreased(P<0.01);the serum NETs-DNA,NE-DNA,and MPO-DNA concentrations decreased(P<0.05);the NE,citH3,and MPO protein and mRNA expression in the colonic tissue was down-regulated(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Conclusion:Herb-partitioned moxibustion reduced the serum NETs complex and inhibited the protein and mRNA expression of NETs complex in the colon tissue,which may be one mechanism of herb-partitioned moxibustion in relieving colon mucosal inflammation in CD.

Objective:To explore the clinical correlation and prognostic value of the Albumin-Bilirubin(ALBI)score in children with secondary hemophagocytic syndrome(sHLH).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of children's sHLH cases clearly diagnosed in the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from January 2012 to March 2023.Survival analysis was conducted according to the ALBI classification.Spearman correlation analysis was conducted between the ALBI score and clinical indicators.The Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)curve was used to evaluate the ALBI score,select the best cutoff value,and evaluate the accuracy of prognostic prediction value.Kaplan-Meier method was used to draw the survival curve.Log-rank method was used to compare the differences of survival curve between groups.Cox regression was used for prognostic analysis and restricted cubic spline curves used to calculate the relationship between ALBI scores and the risk of death in children with sHLH.Results:A total of 128 children with sHLH were included in this study,with a median age of 38(13.25,84)months.There were 70 males(54.69％)and 58 females(45.31％).The survival analysis results of ALBI grading showed that the survival rate of HLH patients with ALBI grade 3 was significantly lower than those with ALBI grades 1 and 2.Spearman correlation analysis results showed that ALBI score was positively correlated with splenomegaly,respiratory failure,disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC),pulmonary hemorrhage,gastrointestinal hemorrhage,central nervous system involvement,ALT,AST,TG,LDH,PT,APTT,and SF(the correlation coefficients are:r=0.181,0.362,0.332,0.221,0.351,0.347,0.391,0.563,0.180,0.448,0.483,0.37,0.356),and was negatively correlated with HB,PLT,and FIB(the correlation coefficients are:r=-0.321,-0.316,-0.423),but was not significantly correlated with EBV infection,fungal infection,hepatomegaly,and ANC(P＞0.05).Using the ROC curve,the cutoff value of ALBI was-1.76.Single factor Cox regression analysis results showed that HB＜90 g/L,ALT ≥ 80 U/L,AST≥200 U/L,LDH ≥1 000 U/L,PT ≥20 s,APTT≥40 s,FIB＜1.5 g/L,ALBI ≥-1.76,combined pulmonary hemorrhage,DIC,central nervous system involvement,gastrointestinal bleeding,and not using blood purification may be the prognostic risk factors for children with sHLH(P＜0.05).Multivariate Cox regression results showed that FIB＜1.5 g/L(HR=2.119,95％CI:1.028-4.368),ALBI≥-1.76(HR=2.452,95％CI:1.233-4.875),and central nervous system involvement(HR=4.674,95％CI:2.486-8.789)were independent risk factors affecting prognosis,while blood purification(HR=0.306,95％CI:0.153-0.612)was an independent protective factor for prognosis.The application of restricted cubic splines shows that the risk of death increases with the increase of ALBI score.The area under the ROC curve(AUC)of the ALBI score for predicting the risk of 1-week,2-week,4-week,and overall mortality were 0.825,0.807,0.700,and 0.693,respectively,indicating good predictive performance for early mortality risk.According to subgroup analysis results of clinical manifestations,compared with the ALBI＜-1.76 group,ALBI≥-1.76 was associated with age ≤2 years,EBV infection,HLH-1994/2004 treatment,concomitant respiratory failure,and ANC≤1.0 × 109/L,HB＜90 g/L,PLT＜100 × 109/L,TG≥3.0 mmol/L,LDH ≥ 1 000 U/L,APTT≥40 s,and FIB＜1.5 g/L(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The ALBI score is related to the clinical characteristics and laboratory indicators of sHLH,and can be used as a beneficial indicator for assessing the prognostic risk of sHLH in children.It has good accuracy and clinical application value in predicting the prognosis of sHLH in children.

Objective To explore artificial reconstruction vs artificial intelligence reconstruction in coronary artery volume rendering(VR).Methods A total of 110 coronary heart disease(CHD)patients were enrolled in the study,and underwent computed tomography arteriography.Artificial reconstruction(artificial group)and artificial intelligence reconstruction(intelligent group)were conducted in coronary artery VR.The image quality of VR and curved planar reconstruction(CPR),the diagnosis coincidence rate of arterial stenosis,and vascular reconstruction score were compared between two groups.Results The VR image quality of intelligent group was significantly higher than that of artificial group,with excellence rate of 90.91%vs 80.00%;and intelligent group scored higher than artificial group in CPR image quality(P<0.05).The differences in the diagnostic coincidence rates of arterial vessels(RCA,LAD,LCX)with no stenosis,slight stenosis,moderate stenosis,and vascular occlusion between two groups were trivial(P>0.05),while the two groups differed significantly in the diagnosis coincidence rates of mild stenosis and severe stenosis(P<0.05).The mean total score,the median value of the 3 main branches+posterior descending branch+intermediate branch+diagonal branch+blunt margin branch,and the median value of the other vascular branches were all significantly increased in intelligent group as compared with artificial group(P<0.05).Conclusion Artificial intelligence reconstruction has higher application value than artificial reconstruction in coronary artery VR.
