As a new type of production factor that can empower the development of new quality productivity, the data element is an important engine to promote the high quality development of the industry. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) dispensing is the most basic work of TCM clinical pharmacy, and its quality directly affects the clinical efficacy of TCM. The integration of data elements and TCM dispensing can stimulate the innovation and vitality of the TCM dispensing industry and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the industry. A large-scale, detailed, and systematic study on TCM dispensing was conducted. The innovative practice path of data fusion construction in the whole process of TCM dispensing was investigated by integrating the digital resources "nine full activities" of TCM dispensing, creating the digital dictionary of "TCM clinical information data elements", and exploring innovative applications of TCM dispensing driven by data and technology, so as to promote the standardized, digital, and intelligent development of TCM dispensing in medical health services. The research content of this project was successfully selected as the second batch of "Data element×" typical cases of National Data Administration in 2024, which is the only selected case in the field of TCM.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Radiation pneumonitis is a major complication in lung cancer radiotherapy. Four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT) imaging provides dynamic ventilation information, which is valuable for lung function assessment and radiation pneumonitis prevention. Many methods have been developed to calculate lung ventilation from 4DCT, but a systematic comparison is lacking. Prediction of radiation pneumonitis using 4DCT-based ventilation is still in an early stage, and no comprehensive review exists. This paper presented the first systematic comparison of functional lung ventilation algorithms based on 4DCT over the past 15 years, highlighting their clinical value and limitations. It then reviewed multimodal approaches combining 4DCT ventilation imaging, dose metrics, and clinical data for radiation pneumonitis prediction. Finally, it summarized current research and future directions of 4DCT in lung cancer radiotherapy, offering insights for clinical practice and further studies.

Nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA), one of the most severe types of male infertility, etiology often remains unclear in most cases. Therefore, this study aimed to detect four biallelic detrimental variants (0.5%) in the minichromosome maintenance domain containing 2 ( MCMDC2 ) genes in 768 NOA patients by whole-exome sequencing (WES). Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) demonstrated that MCMDC2 deleterious variants caused meiotic arrest in three patients (c.1360G>T, c.1956G>T, and c.685C>T) and hypospermatogenesis in one patient (c.94G>T), as further confirmed through immunofluorescence (IF) staining. The single-cell RNA sequencing data indicated that MCMDC2 was substantially expressed during spermatogenesis. The variants were confirmed as deleterious and responsible for patient infertility through bioinformatics and in vitro experimental analyses. The results revealed four MCMDC2 variants related to NOA, which contributes to the current perception of the function of MCMDC2 in male fertility and presents new perspectives on the genetic etiology of NOA.

Objective To summarize and statistically analyze the automatic monitoring data of environmental gamma dose rates in Beijing, 2020-2024, identify the main influencing factors of the monitoring data, and inform management decisions and public services. Methods A statistical analysis was performed using data collected from national automatic radiation environment monitoring stations. Results For five environmental monitoring stations, the annual mean gamma dose rates from 2020 to 2024 ranged from 60.9 to 90.3 nGy/h. The overall annual mean was 71.4 nGy/h, with a standard deviation of 11.3 nGy/h. All values were within the range of statistical fluctuations of the local natural background radiation. The gamma dose rates of monitoring stations followed the order of E > A > D > B > C. Conclusion The gamma radiation levels at all monitoring stations were stable, and the monitoring results were closely related to their surrounding environments.

Objective To investigate the relationship between spicy diet and uremic pruritus(UP)in the patients with maintenance haemodialysis(MHD).Methods A total of 403 patients receiving the treat-ment in the blood purification center of this hospital from December 2023 to February 2024 were selected as the study subjects and grouped by the sum of the scores of frequency and degree of pepper intake.The visual analogue rating scale(VAS)was used to conduct the preliminary pruritus score in all patients,and the pa-tients with the score＞0 point conducted the multidimensional evaluation by the 14-item uremic skin pruritus scale.The blood routine and itch-related blood biochemical indexes levels of all patients were measured.Results There were 65 cases in the bland diet group,119 cases in the mild spicy diet group and 219 cases in the spicy diet group,and there was no significant difference in the number of genders between the groups(P＞0.05).There were statistically significant differences in age,dialysis age and lymphocyte count among the groups(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the degree of pruritus among the groups(Z=9.301,P=0.157),but it was seen that the proportion of moderate and severe pruritus in the mild spicy diet group and the spicy diet group was decreased,and the proportions of no pruritus and mild pruritus showed the increasing trend.The itching score of the bland diet group was higher than that of the mildly spicy diet group and spicy diet group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference between the mild spicy diet group and spicy diet group(P＞0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the itch score of the patients aged 40-60 years in each group(P＜0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in the itch score between the patients aged＞60 years old and＜40 years old in each group(P＞0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the itch-related blood biochemical indexes among the groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The spicy diet may reduce the degree of pruritus in patients with MHD,moreover which is not affected by the age and other factors,and may be associated with lymphocyte level decrease in the patients.

Objective To investigate the expression of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA),surfactant associated 1 pseudogene(SFTA1P)in lung squamous carcinoma and its effect on the biological functions of SFTA1P in lung squamous carcinoma cell lines.Methods Based on the cancer genome atlas(TCGA)database,the differential expression of SFTA1P in tumor and normal tissues were compared in patients diagnosed with lung squamous cell carcinoma.Then,the expression of SFTA1P was detected in human normal lung epithelial cell line BEAS-2B and lung squamous cell lines SK-MES-1 and H520 with real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).SK-MES-1 and H520 cells with overexpression and/or knockdown of SFTA1P were constructed by transfecting the overexpression plasmids(pcDNA3.1-SFTA1P)and small interfering RNAs(si-SFTA1P-1 and si-SFTA1P-2).CCK-8 assay and Transwell assay were used to investigate the effect of SFTA1P on biological functions in lung squamous carcinoma cells.Differential gene expression analysis,correlation analysis and functional enrichment analysis were employed to explore the potential mechanism that SFTA1P may affect biological functions of lung squamous cells.Results Analysis of TCGA showed that the expression of SFTA1P was significantly lower in lung squamous cell carcinoma tissue than adjacent normal tissue(P＜0.05).RT-PCR results showed that the expression of SFTA1P was obviously lower in lung squamous carcinoma cells than the human normal lung epithelial cells(P＜0.05).And the expression level of SFTA1P was relatively lower in the SK-MES-1 cells than the H520 cells(P＜0.05).Overexpression of SFTA1P suppressed the proliferation,migration and invasion of lung squamous carcinoma cells(P＜0.05),while its knockdown promoted these abilities(P＜0.05).Differential gene expression analysis,correlation analysis and functional enrichment analysis indicated that SFTA1P may inhibit MYC,G2m checkpoints and E2f signaling pathways in lung squamous cell carcinoma.Conclusion SFTA1P shows anti-cancer function in lung squamous cell carcinoma,and it may affect the biological functions of lung squamous cell carcinoma cells through down-regulating MYC,G2m checkpoints and E2f signaling pathways.
