Informative puzzles can provide knowledge to the adolescents effectively as it was current trend nowadays. According to World Health Organization (WHO), globally it was found that 300 million people of all ages were suffering from depression. Their knowledge about its causes was inaccurate, lacking of understanding about depression and its healing makes this mental health issue remain unnoticed and untreated where they do not seek for any treatment. Therefore, introducing depression education through jigsaw puzzles gain more benefits together enhanced the knowledge and attitude level towards depression. This was a development study focusing on formulating and developing puzzle as an interventional approach to improve knowledge and attitude level on depression. Feasibility and acceptability of the puzzles has face validity by respondents and content validity by experts. The r=.81 which was high consider having high validity. Eight modules of puzzles developed named as (Knowledge, Depression Adolescents [KDA]-Puzzle) which consisted of Module 1 Sign and symptoms, Module 2 Types of depression, Module 3 Causes of depression, Module 4 Risk factors, Module 5 (Pharmacotherapy & medication) Medical treatment A, Module 6 Medical treatment B, Module 7 Alternative treatment and Module 8 Prevention of depression. Respondents and experts commented the puzzles really beneficialfor the adolescents to learn and gain knowledge about depression. KDA-Puzzles gained positive feedback from the assessment. Newly develop KDA-Puzzles were feasible and acceptable among adolescents. This puzzles can be alternative game while staying at home during Movement Control Order (MCO) due to pandemic COVID 19, and create awareness towards depression.

Avian Infectious Bronchitis (IB) is a highly contagious disease which can cause huge economic losses to the poultry industry. Forty five IB viruses (IBV) were isolated from poultry in Malaysia during 2014-2016. Phylogenetic analysis of the spike glycoprotein 1 (S1) gene revealed that all isolates were clustered into five distinct groups. The predominant type of IBV isolated was QX strains (47%), second was 4/91 type (27%), followed by Malaysian strain MH5365/95 (13%), Massachusetts type (11%) and finally Taiwanese strains (2%). Four types of S1 protein cleavage recognition motifs were found among the isolates which includes HRRRR, RRSRR, RRFRR and RRVRR. To our knowledge, this is the first report describing the motif RRVRR and are unique to Malaysian strains. Six IBVs were grouped in Malaysian MH5365/95 strains. Among these, one isolate was different from others where it only shared 82% identity with MH5365/95 and to others. It formed its own branch in the Malaysian cluster suggesting it may be a variant unique to Malaysia. Alignment analysis of the S1 amino acid sequences indicated that point mutations, insertions and deletions contribute to the divergence of IB variants. This study indicated at least five groups of IBV are circulating in Malaysia with most of the isolates belonged to QX strains. As new IBV variants continue to emerge, further study need to be carried out to determine whether the current available vaccine is able to give protection against the circulating virus.

Considering the great potential of natural products as anticancer agents, the present study was designed to explore the molecular mechanisms responsible for anticancer activities of Mesua ferrea stem bark extract against human colorectal carcinoma. Based on MTT assay results, bioactive sub-fraction (SF-3) was selected for further studies using HCT 116 cells. Repeated column chromatography resulted in isolation of less active α-amyrin from SF-3, which was identified and characterized by GC-MS and HPLC methods. α-amyrin and betulinic acid contents of SF-3 were measured by HPLC methods. Fluorescent assays revealed characteristic apoptotic features, including cell shrinkage, nuclear condensation, and marked decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential in SF-3 treated cells. In addition, increased levels of caspases-9 and -3/7 levels were also observed in SF-3 treated cells. SF-3 showed promising antimetastatic properties in multiple in vitro assays. Multi-pathway analysis revealed significant down-regulation of WNT, HIF-1α, and EGFR with simultaneous up-regulation of p53, Myc/Max, and TGF-β signalling pathways in SF-3 treated cells. In addition, promising growth inhibitory effects were observed in SF-3 treated HCT 116 tumour spheroids, which give a hint about in vivo antitumor efficacy of SF-3 phytoconstituents. In conclusion, these results demonstrated that anticancer effects of SF-3 towards colon cancer are through modulation of multiple molecular pathways.
