Objective TXN is a thioredoxin (TXN) that participates in many redox reactions and plays a crucial role in various signaling pathways. However, the role of TXN in many cancers is still unclear. The objective of this study is to investigate and visualize the diagnostic, prognostic, and immunological implications of TXN expression across various cancer types. Methods The clinical data were downloaded from the cancer genome mapping project(TCGA) database to analyze the expression level of TXN in pan cancer, and the expression level was preliminarily verified by human protein mapping (HPA)(https://www.proteinatlas.org/)database. The ESTIMATE algorithm and CIBERSORT algorithm were applied to calculate the correlation between TXN expression and immune cell infiltration. The correlation between TXN and microsatellite instability (MSI) and tumor mutation burden (TMB) was analyzed using Spearman method. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) is used for gene biology functional analysis and sensitivity analysis of genes to pan cancer therapeutic drugs. Results TXN is highly expressed in most malignant tumors. The high expression of TXN is associated with overall survival (OS), disease-specific survival (DSS), disease-free interval (DFI), and progression free interval (PFI) in various cancers. Moreover, TXN expression is associated with TMB, MSI, tumor microenvironment, chemotherapy sensitivity and so on. Conclusion TXN may become a potential prognostic biomarker in pan cancer, providing strong theoretical basis for future tumor diagnosis and prognosis judgment. The retinoic acid-inducible gene-I (RIG-I)-like receptor signaling pathway, Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway, and nucleotide binding oligomerization domain (NOD)-like receptor signaling pathway may be crucial pathways through which TXN influences tumor immunity.

Rapid and ultrasensitive detection of pathogen-associated biomarkers is vital for the early diagnosis and therapy of bacterial infections. Herein, we developed a close-packed and ordered Au@AgPt array coupled with a cascade triggering strategy for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and colorimetric identification of the Staphylococcus aureus biomarker micrococcal nuclease (MNase) in serum samples. The trimetallic Au@AgPt nanozymes can catalyze the oxidation of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) molecules to SERS-enhanced oxidized TMB (oxTMB), accompanied by the color change from colorless to blue. In the presence of S. aureus, the secreted MNase preferentially cut the nucleobase AT-rich regions of DNA sequences on magnetic beads (MBs) to release alkaline phosphatase (ALP), which subsequently mediated the oxTMB reduction for inducing the colorimetric/SERS signal fade away. Using this "on-to-off" triggering strategy, the target S. aureus can be recorded in a wide linear range with a limit of detection of 38 CFU/mL in the colorimetric mode and 6 CFU/mL in the SERS mode. Meanwhile, the MNase-mediated strategy characterized by high specificity and sensitivity successfully discriminated between patients with sepsis (n = 7) and healthy participants (n = 3), as well as monitored the prognostic progression of the disease (n = 2). Overall, benefiting from highly active and dense "hot spot" substrate, MNase-mediated cascade response strategy, and colorimetric/SERS dual-signal output, this methodology will offer a promising avenue for the early diagnosis of S. aureus infection.

Reasonable and effective compensation and incentive mechanism is key to maintaining and stimulating incentives of the staff.By means of defining the main problems and defects in the current hospital compensation system in China, performance management is used as the cornerstone for designing the public hospital compensation and incentive mechanism.Resource-based relative value scale(RBRVS) assessment system is called into play to build a compensation management system, which features workload as the basis, technical competency and risk assessment as the reference and balance scorecard as the means. This can build a fair, scientific and reasonable salary distribution system and performance evaluation system, which maximize incentives of the compensation system, and in the end maximize the economic and social benefits of the hospital.

Objective To examine the sensitivity and specificity of glycated haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) in predicting metabolic syndrome (MS) and its association with cardiovascular risk factors.MethodsIn 6292 adults (median age 45 years) who participated in a medical check-up program, analysis of distribution of HbA1c and its association with various cardiovascular risk factors was performed. The ability of HbA1 c to predict MS was evaluated.Anthropometric measurements were made and fasting plasma glucose, lipid profiles and HbA1c were tested. ResultsThe prevalence of MS was 11.24%.Cardiovascular risk factors were significantly increased as the serum level of HbA1c increased. HbA1c of 5.8% predicted the presence of MS.Females showed the same cut-off of HbA1c for the prediction of MS with males ( the area under the curve of the females was higher than that of the males ). Conclusion HbA1c was increased as cardiovascular risk factors increased and HbA1c of 5.8% may predict the presence of MS.HbA1c might be a predictive measure of MS and cardiovascular diseases in adults.

This paper discusses the law of atrial electrical activity propagation (the timing of signal and the conduction velocity) under the sinus rhythm before and after AF caused by high-frequency electrical stimulation. The paper analyzes how different doses of acetylcholine affect the conductivity of the atrial cells of dogs. This result can also help the diagnoses and treatment of human's AF.
