Obesity, as a chronic recurrent disease, has become a major public health challenge in China. To implement the requirements of the Healthy China Initiative (2019—2030), under domestic guidelines or consensus statements on overweight and obesity, and in alignment with the latest scientific advances globally, the Quality control protocol for adult overweight and obesity screening in health management (examination) institutions (2025 edition) was developed. This protocol was drafted by the Health Management Center of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital and formulated through multiple rounds of deliberation by experts in China’s health examination quality control field. The protocol establishes unified standards for screening facilities, personnel qualifications, and measurement or testing procedures. It defines specific screening items, outlines a standardized screening pathway, and sets requirements for the final medical review, ensuring the scientific validity, effectiveness, and safety of the screening process. The implementation of this protocol will enhance the consistency of weight management practices for adults across health examination institutions and strengthen the quality control of overweight and obesity screening programs.
2.Screening and identification of key pathogenic genes for Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia

Objective This study utilizes bioinformatics methods to analyze differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between Alzheimer's disease(AD)and vascular dementia(VD)compared to normal controls.The aim is to identify key genes and validate their relevance to both types of dementia.Methods Gene chip dataset GSE122063 were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)database.Using the GEO2R tool,DEGs in AD,VD,and normal control group were screened.We constructed a protein-protein interaction network using the STRING database and identified key genes through Cytoscape.Subsequently,DAVID database were used to analyze gene ontology(GO)enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways associated with interconnected DEGs,predicting their biological functions.Finally,diagnostic performance were validated and assessed by using receiver operating characteristic curves.Results In the AD and VD groups,we identified 1099 and 505 DEGs,respectively,with 69 genes showing associations in the protein-protein interaction network.GO analysis revealed that DEGs are primarily located in the extracellular matrix,cell surface,and plasma membrane.They influence biological processes such as signal transduction and inflammatory responses,with functions related to receptor binding and signal receptor activity,collectively contributing to dementia development.KEGG analysis indicated significant enrichment of DEGs in immune-related signaling pathways,including microbial infections,rheumatoid arthritis,systemic lupus erythematosus,and inflammatory bowel disease.Four key genes—CCR5,CCL2,FCGR2A,and ITGB2—with significantly elevated expression in both AD and VD groups were indentifiied.The area under the curve suggests their potential diagnostic value for dementia.Conclusion Through bioinformatics analysis of AD and VD,the enriched signaling pathways and key genes associated with immunity and inflammation were discovered.These findings may play a crucial role in dementia progression and provide new insights for early diagnosis.

Talents are the main force for the development of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), and the construction of TCM talents and the reformation of talent evaluation system are essential to promote the inheritance and innovation of TCM. At present, we are still exploring and developing in the fields of the formulation, implementation and evaluation indicators of TCM talent evaluation system. However, there are shortcomings and difficulties. For instance, insufficient stratification in the evaluation, excessive emphasis on the quantity of achievements, neglecting the quality of the achievements and the actual contribution, imperfect assessment indicators, and the weak characteristics of TCM. Therefore, national ministries and commissions have jointly issued a document requesting to break the four only and set a new standard, in order to promote the construction of a scientific and technological talent evaluation system oriented by innovation value, ability and contribution. For the evaluation of TCM clinical talents, China Association for Science and Technology commissioned China Association of Chinese Medicine to build the China Clinical Cases Library of TCM(CCCL-TCM), which aims at collecting the most authoritative and representative TCM clinical cases and exploring the advantages of applying clinical cases as masterpiece of achievement in TCM clinical talents evaluation. CCCL-TCM can promote the construction of a talent evaluation system that is more in line with the development characteristics of TCM industry, and to carry out relevant pilot in TCM colleges and institutions across the country in order to promote the reformation of TCM talent evaluation system.
4.Forsythiaside B inhibits cerebral ischemia/reperfusion-induced oxidative stress injury in mice via the AMPK/DAF-16/FOXO3 pathway.

OBJECTIVE:
To study the protective effect of forsythiaside B (FB) against cerebral oxidative stress injury induced by cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) in mice and explore the underlying mechanism.
METHODS:
Ninety C57BL/6 mice were randomized into sham-operated group, middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model group, and low-, medium and highdose (10, 20, and 40 mg/kg, respectively) FB groups. The expression levels of MDA, ROS, PCO, 8-OHdG, SOD, GSTα4, CAT and GPx in the brain tissue of the mice were detected using commercial kits, and those of AMPK, P-AMPK, DAF-16, FOXO3 and P-FOXO3 were detected with Western blotting. Compound C (CC), an AMPK inhibitor, was used to verify the role of the AMPK pathway in mediating the therapeutic effect of FB. In another 36 C57BL/6 mice randomized into 4 sham-operated group, MCAO model group, FB (40 mg/kg) treatment group, FB+CC (10 mg/kg) treatment group, TTC staining was used to examine the volume of cerebral infarcts, and the levels of ROS and SOD in the brain were detected; the changes in the protein expressions of AMPK, P-AMPK, DAF-16, FOXO3 and P-FOXO3 in the brain tissue were detected using Western blotting.
RESULTS:
In mice with cerebral IR injury, treatment with FB significantly reduced the levels of ROS, MDA, PCO and 8-OHdG, increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes SOD, GSTα4, CAT and GPx, and enhanced phosphorylation of AMPK and FOXO3 and DAF-16 protein expression in the brain tissue (P < 0.01). Compared with FB treatment alone, the combined treatment with FB and CC significantly reduced phosphorylation of AMPK and FOXO3, lowered expression of DAF-16 and SOD activity, and increased cerebral infarction volume and ROS level in the brain tissue of the mice (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSION
FB inhibits oxidative stress injury caused by cerebral I/R in mice possibly by enhancing AMPK phosphorylation, promoting the downstream DAF-16 protein expression and FOXO3 phosphorylation, increasing the expression of antioxidant enzymes, and reducing ROS level in the brain tissue.

5.A novel biodegradable polymer-coated sirolimus-eluting stent: 1-year results of the HELIOS registry.

BACKGROUND:
The HELIOS stent is a sirolimus-eluting stent with a biodegradable polymer and titanium oxide film as the tie-layer. The study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of HELIOS stent in a real-world setting.
METHODS:
The HELIOS registry is a prospective, multicenter, cohort study conducted at 38 centers across China between November 2018 and December 2019. A total of 3060 consecutive patients were enrolled after application of minimal inclusion and exclusion criteria. The primary endpoint was target lesion failure (TLF), defined as a composite of cardiac death, non-fatal target vessel myocardial infarction (MI), and clinically indicated target lesion revascularization (TLR) at 1-year follow-up. Kaplan-Meier methods were used to estimate the cumulative incidence of clinical events and construct survival curves.
RESULTS:
A total of 2998 (98.0%) patients completed the 1-year follow-up. The 1-year incidence of TLF was 3.10% (94/2998, 95% closed interval: 2.54-3.78%). The rates of cardiac death, non-fatal target vessel MI and clinically indicated TLR were 2.33% (70/2998), 0.20% (6/2998), and 0.70% (21/2998), respectively. The rate of stent thrombosis was 0.33% (10/2998). Age ≥60 years, diabetes mellitus, family history of coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarction at admission, and device success were independent predictors of TLF at 1 year.
CONCLUSION:
The 1-year incidence rates of TLF and stent thrombosis were 3.10% and 0.33%, respectively, in patients treated with HELIOS stents. Our results provide clinical evidence for interventional cardiologists and policymakers to evaluate HELIOS stent.

6.Comparison on anti-inflammatory activity of Gynostemma pentaphyllum processed with different methods.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of Gynostemma pentaphyllum dried with two different methods(air drying and heating) on inflammation in acute lung injury(ALI) mice in vivo and in vitro. Lipopolysaccharide(LPS) was sprayed into the airway of wild type C57BL/6J male mice to establish the model, and the drug was injected into the tail vein 24 h after modeling. Lung function, lung tissue wet/dry weight(W/D) ratio, the total protein concentration, interleukin 6(IL-6), IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF), and pathological changes of the lung tissue were used to evaluate the effects of different gypenosides on ALI mice. The results showed that total gypenosides(YGGPs) and the gypenosides substituted with one or two glycosyl(GPs_(1-2)) in the air-dried sample improved the lung function, significantly lowered the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in BALF, and alleviated the lung inflammation of ALI mice. Moreover, GPs_(1-2) had a more significant effect on inhibiting NO release in RAW264.7 cells. This study showed that different drying methods affected the anti-inflammatory activity of G. pentaphyllum, and the rare saponins in the air-dried sample without heating had better anti-inflammatory activity.

7.Feasibility of diamond detector on Flash radiation dosimetry online

Objective:To explore the feasibility of synthetic diamond detector in use for Flash radiation dosimetry by designing a diamond dosimeter and conducting a series of dosimetric characteristic tests.Methods:A diamond detector system prototype with real-time current output was developed using a CIVIDEC? B1HV diamond sensor and designing a large dynamic range current measurement circuit based on the pre-integration method. The dose (dose-rate) response linearity was tested under irradiation from both electron beam and X ray ultra-high dose rate. Dose (dose-rate) calibration was performed against a medical accelerator to gain the charge-dose transfer coefficient.Results:Good linear correlation ( R2 = 0.99) between detector output charge and reference dose per pulse was shown under electron beam irradiation of 0.08-0.50 Gy/pulse. Good linearity ( R2 = 0.99) is also shown under irradiation from electron beam with ultra-high dose rate (400 Gy/s) and conventional dose rate (0.5 Gy/s). Strictly linear correlation ( R2 = 1) was shown between detector output integrated charge and reference dose under X ray irradiation at ultra-high average dose rate (75.5 Gy/s) and conventional average dose rate (0.5 Gy/s). The charge-dose and current-dose rate conversion factors for practical use were 0.751 7 μC/Gy and 0.753 5 μA·Gy·s -1, respectively. Conclusions:Considerable linearity of the diamond detector dose responses were shown under irradiation both from electron beam and X-ray beam, which could provide a relatively rapid and accurate dosimetry for Flash preclinical experiments. Furthermore, diamond detectors have great potential in the quality assurance for Flash radiotherapy.
8.Patients with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer after Failure of Second-Line Treatment May Benefit from Low-Dose Apatinib and S-1 Combined with Jianpi Bushen Jiedu Decoction.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate the effect and safety of low-dose of apatinib and S-1 combined with Jianpi Bushen Jiedu Decoction (JBJD) in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) who have failed second or above lines treatment, in order to provide more treatment option for mCRC patients by integrated medicine.
METHODS:
Thirteen patients were selected from a single-arm, open-label clinical study from April 2019 to September 2020. The patients were treated with low-dose apatinib (250 mg, once a day) and S-1 (20 mg, twice a day) combined with JBJD for at least one cycle and were followed up to August 2021. The primary endpoint was disease progression-free survival (PFS). Disease control rate (DCR), objective response rate (ORR), and overall survival (OS) of patients were observed as the secondary endpoints. Adverse events were recorded as well.
RESULTS:
The average age of the 13 patients was 56.5 ±13.0 years and 76.9% were male. The median PFS and median OS were 4.6 and 8.3 months, respectively. The ORR was 7.7% (1/13) while the DCR was 61.5% (8/13). The common adverse events were hypertension, proteinuria, elevated transaminase, and thrombocytopenia. One patient experienced thrombocytopenia of grade 3.
CONCLUSIONS
Patients with mCRC after failure of the second or above lines of treatment may potentially benefit from the treatment of low-dose apatinib and S-1 combined with JBJD because of its similar effect as the standard dose of target therapy and relatively better safety. 9.Preliminary study on the effect of Pinggan huoxue powder on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats and its mechanism

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect and mechanism of Pinggan huoxue powder on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI) in rats. METHODS CIRI model was induced by suture-occluded method. SD rats were divided into sham operation group, model group, positive control group (Tongxinluo capsule 0.325 g/kg), Pinggan huoxue powder low-dose, medium-dose and high-dose groups (3.02, 6.04, 12.08 g/kg), with 12 rats in each group. Each group was given constant volume of water or drug intragastrically, once a day, for consecutive 14 d. Longa score was used to evaluate neurological function of rats on the 1st, 7th and 14th day of intervention. After the last administration, the percentage of cerebral infarction volume in rats was measured, and neuronal injury (neuronal density) and neuronal apoptosis were observed; the protein expressions of p53, B cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2), Bcl-2 associated X protein (Bax), Caspase-3 and activated Caspase-3 (Cleaved caspase-3) in brain tissue were detected. RESULTS Compared with sham operation group, Longa score at the 1st, 7th and 14th day of intervention and the percentage of cerebral infarction volume in model group significantly increased (P<0.05), and the arrangement of cortical cells in ischemic side was disordered, Nissl bodies were absent and vacuolated, and a large number of cell apoptosis occurred. The neuronal density and protein expression of Bcl-2 at the lesion side were significantly decreased (P<0.05), while the protein expressions of p53, Bax, Caspase-3 and Cleaved Caspase-3 were significantly increased (P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with model group, the expressions of Bcl-2 in cerebral ischemia cortex of rats in Pinggan huoxue powder high-dose group were significantly increased (P<0.05). Longa scores of rats in Pinggan huoxue powder medium-dose and high-dose groups on the 7th and 14th day of intervention were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and other indexes were also significantly reversed (P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS Pinggan huoxue powder can protect cerebral nerves and inhibit apoptosis of CIRI model rats, the mechanism of which may be related to down-regulating the protein expressions of p53, Bax and Caspase-3 and up-regulating the protein expression of Bcl-2.
10.Preliminary imaging study on the distribution of female Volumetric Breast Density

Objective:To describe the distribution of volumetric breast density(VBD) in different ages of Chinese women based on X-ray mammograms.Methods:Based on mammographic images of 1 140 patients from January 2010 to December 2016 in a hospital in Beijing, the VBD of women was assessed by Volpara 1.5.1 and graded according to breast imaging reporting and data system published by American College of Radiology. The patients were divided into two groups according to the median age, and the two independent samples t-test was used to compare them. The patients were also divided into four groups according to age ( <40 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, ≥ 60 years), and the breast thickness, breast volume, glandular volume, and VBD were compared using a One-way ANOVA analysis. Results:The median age was 50 years. The compressed breast thickness and breast volume in patients over 50 years were significantly higher than those in patients below 50 years ( t= -8.99, -7.92, P<0.001), while glandular volume and VBD were significantly lower than those below 50 years ( t= 8.11, 18.49, P<0.001). The compressed breast thickness, breast volume, glandular volume, and VBD were statistically significant different among four groups ( F=27.10, 22.34, 25.70, 122.03, P<0.001). Patients over 60 years had the lowest VBD ( t=-12.56, -15.27, -4.57, P<0.001). VBD was negatively correlated with ages ( r=0.47, P<0.001). Conclusions:The compressed breast thickness and breast volume increased with ages, while the glandular volume and VBD decreased with ages.
